BiancaLucy Azure Faux Zoro Fury Tyson |
I gave up hitting the town tonight for this?Bianca, perhaps, had become somewhat spoiled. She'd been a proper trainer once, traversing all sorts of terrain with nothing but her pokemon and what supplies she could carry on her back (though, to be fair, after her Shelgon evolved, she'd done more flying than walking). However, nowadays she generally didn't go hunting for pokemon, leaving stocking her store to her number of contacts throughout Era and other regions. Tonight, she wasn't so much 'hunting' as 'using them as for target practice.' And all because of the blue lion cub prancing at her feet. People said Bianca couldn't resist a cat, and people were right. She'd been unable to keep herself from buying the little ball of fur, and he wormed his way into her heart instantly. That didn't tend to happen, so she took it as a sign. The old royal barracks were probably the best place to go searching for pokemon without leaving the Capital, though she had to admit that the place gave her a major case of the heebie-jeebies. She glanced at her Shinx. "See or hear anything, Ty?"The paused a moment, then shook his head. "Shinx."Bianca sighed and crept further down the hallway, trying to suppress the chills that raced down her spine. I could be in a nightclub right now. I could be in someone's apartment right now. Instead, I'm in some creepy haunted barracks looking for pokemon. She gave a dark chuckle, not even noticing she spoke the next words aloud, "Just like old times..."

Sitting on the bottom portion of a bunk bed, three Litwick could be seen conversing with one another rather somberly. A Spinarak could be seen climbing up a wall not far off. It seemed that he was starting to spin some sort of web where the wall met the ceiling. Farther off under one of the beds, a Shinx was curled up and dozing sleepily. She hadn't gotten much sleep over the past few days and was taking the moment to relax completely.

The first sign Bianca had of any pokemon being around was not seeing or hearing them, though she did soon enough. It was, instead, due to a large blue kitten, fur on end and glowing like a beacon, suddenly adhereing himself to her torso. Tyson's wrapped his forepaws around her neck, wrapped his hind legs around her waist, and buried his face in her neck, his coat sparking with nervous static.
In a moment, Bianca understood. Litwick. Three of them. Probably the only fire type that would hang around here, and she'd managed to walk right into a trio of them while training her fire-phobic Shinx. It figured.
Bianca was a little uneasy in her own right, if only because of those old stories about the little ghosts stealing lifeforce; she considered letting out Fury or Faux Zoro, or both, out to deal with them, but they were over there talking and hadn't done anything, and Bianca was a bit of a softie at heart, creepy candle-ghosts or not.
So, she left them be, and gently patted Tyson's head as she went to find a more appealing target. She quickly caught sight of the Spinarak, and eyed it a moment. It was up, which meant knocking it down so Tyson could attack physically would be top priority, but they could do some nasty things with poison, so they'd have to careful.
"Hey, Ty, look! A spider!" Bianca said with overly-exaggerated chipperness to her sparking blue sweater, who unburied his face to blink at the Spinarak, ears pricked forward. "Think you can take on a spider, buddy?""
"Shinx!" he mewed as he hopped down to the ground and snarled threateningly at the wild spider to Intimidate it. "You bet!" A crackling Thunder Wave shot from his fur toward it, and the battle was on.

The Litwick seemed to continue their conversation particularly blind to the woman and her pokemon. Whatever they were talking about, it must have been interesting or something. The Spinarak's eyes grew, and for a moment, he shivered as the Intimidate worked its way into lowering his attack. The Thunder Wave that suddenly electrocuted the bug pokemon caused the Spinarak to fall straight off and hit the floor. Paralyzed for that turn, the small spider could only frown angrily at the small Shinx ready to take whatever it threw at him. The other Shinx remained asleep and didn't even seem at all aware of what was going on outside of her dream world.

Bianca grinned as the Spinarak hit the ground. Just like old times, indeed. "Okay, now Double Team, Tyson."
The Shinx nodded and split into a series of copies. Bianca knew the look on the Spinarak's face, and she knew it was down, but not out. A little defense never hurt, paralysis or not.
However, Bianca suddenly realized that her necklace was melting, which would be far more alarming if it wasn't actually her Ditto. Morphing from the purple necklace to its more usual form of a blob of blue goo, Azure flopped to the ground with a light splat and oozed its way over to the bed the Litwick were sitting on, just getting within earshot and trying not to draw attention to itself.
Bianca paid her Ditto little mind; Azure never could resist a chance to eavesdrop, and she had a battle to fight.

The Spinarak's eyes seemed to grow at the move that was used. Managing to form a Sucker Punch, the small spider attacked that turn but only ended up hitting a clone. Shoot-..... and once again, he couldn't move, dang it.
<And like... oh my gawsh> one of the Litwick stated in a full valley girl accent.
<He did nawt> another Litwick stated as her eyes grew at the first one's comment.
<He did! He did!> the first answered back causing the second and the third to jump up surprised.

If Azure had a face right now, there would have been a deadpan expression on it. It didn't move, though; there may very well be something remotely useful in all this, and it wasn't like it had anything better to do.
Bianca, meanwhile, was trying not to giggle like an idiot. She'd forgotten how strangely thrilling this could be. I am a horrible person. "Now, Thunder Fang!"
Tyson mewed, and he and his copies descended on the paralyzed Spinarak, jaws sparking. Bianca knew a Fire Fang attack would make more sense, but she realized who she was dealing with here. She wasn't sure Tyson even knew it, and she knew he wouldn't use it if he did, given what the sight of few candle-ghosts had done to him.

It was then that one of the Litwick turned and noticed Azure. <Like hi!> she called a moment. The other three simply continued talking amongst one another about a certain 'he' that they all seemed to know rather well and were having quite a bit of fun gossiping about.
The Thunder Fang bit into the small bug and caused his limbs to spazum in pain for a few seconds as he cried out. However, even at such a close range, he found himself unable to move from the electrical paralysis. Shoot, he just wasn't having any luck today now was he?

Azure popped up from its puddle-like shape to something more upright, a broad, friendly grin on its near-featureless face. "Hiiiii!" it chirped cheerily in a high-pitched, rather feminine-sounding voice, raising a bit of its blobby form and waving it like an arm. "Like, what's goin' on?" The whole thing was fake, of course, and Azure was a little disgusted with itself for acting so bubbly, but manipulating these little ghosts could yield something. And if it didn't, it still fit Azure's twisted sense of fun.
"Iron Tail!" Tyson raced forward, tail glowing, and whipped it toward the paralyzed spider, his remaining copies in tow. Bianca cheered him on, though she admitted to herself that she was starting to feel a little sorry for the Spinarak.

<Like oh mah gawsh, you are like so pretty~> another Litwick commented, and with that, the other three seemed to nod in agreement. Indeed, Azure's shiny coloring was something that marveled at least a few in the group while the last probably just acted as such in order to fit in. <Like have you like seeing /him/? he'd totally go out with you~> one of the other Litwick's said. All four seemed to sigh then and there with a mildly dreamy expression.
The Spinarak was hit by the Iorn Tail and cried out once before finally fainting out of fatigue. pain, and a number of other things.

Azure got a look on its face at the compliment that made it look like it would be blushing if Ditto could; a little faked humility would probably be good. However, this 'him' was starting to really pique its curiosity, and not because he would probably go out with it, according to these mindless, giggling candle-ghosts. No, it was the fact that the more it heard, the more it conjured the image of a creature that Bianca would be interested in capturing.
"Like, no I haven't. I'm, like, kinda new around here." By the Legends, if it had to say 'like' too many more times, it was going to go crazy.
Tyson pranced back to Bianca, looked proud of himself. No longer in battle, his duplicates vanished as she knelt down to pet him. "You got that spider! Whadda good kitty you are. Yes, yousa a big, strong kitty," she cooed, the Shinx purring up a storm.
As for the spider himself...Bianca found herself pulling out a pokeball and rolling it around on her palm. She couldn't just leave him here, could she? Something could come by and eat him or something. Maybe she could find a good home for him through her work. That in mind, she tossed the pokeball at the passed-out Spinarak.

<Like oh my gawsh!> one exclaimed. "He is like the cutest guy EVER!" she squeaked turning a rosy pink color before her face turned back to white once more. <And like... oh mah gawsh you need to like.. meet him or something... like seriously..> another one commented with a huge grin. <He's only like the hottest Chandelure ever<3> a third giggled.
The pokeball hit the Spinarak and drew him inside. The ball shook a moment but then rang in capture.
Name: Species: Spinarak Gender: Male Ability: Sniper Personality: A sometimes unwilling fighter, this Spinarak will defend himself but doesn't tend to like to force others to battle as a result of him attacking. He's quite artistic with web designs and can make rather intricate patterns when forming his webs. He's quite jumpy at times and can be downright silly when overly excited, but he is able to calm himself usually.
Not fa off, a Duskull fazed through a wall and appeared to be looking around for a moment before continuing on.

Chandelure. Bingo. A fully evolved pokemon was something of a prize in and of itself, but if he was so special to this bunch of giggling fools, he may be special to humans as well. "Like, oh my gawsh," Azure said, feigning a partial swoon, "He sounds amazing..." Oh, it was definitely going to be sick at this rate. "B-but, like, I get so nervous around boys." As much as it wanted this conversation to be over, Azure knew better than to rush this. If the 'new girl' seemed a little too eager to meet the cute guy, it may look suspicious, even if Azure was sure these girls had the combined IQ of a rock.
Bianca, meanwhile, pocketed the pokeball with the Spinarak, and immediately noticed the Duskull phase in through the wall, mildly creeped out. Geez, Trish would love this place, she thought faintly. She'd have to tell the ghost-loving drummer about it the next time they talked. For now, however, the little spectral creature was a perfect next target.
Tyson had already seen it, and he started hopping up and down in excitement. Bianca smirked. "Crunch!" The little lion cub immediately raced for the ghost and sprung up, trying to bite its body with darkness-coated fangs.

<Awwwwweeeee> one cooed a little frowning at the idea of nervousness. <He ISSSSSS> another one giggled, and in another moment, her eyes had rolled upwards and her face had turned redder than a razzberry. <Like oh my gawsh you are too cute~> another giggled <I'll help you meet him yep yep!> she continued on. The fourth seemed to simply smile quietly.
The Duskull had barely a chance to turn his head before he caught sight of the lion cub pokemon charging at him. His single red eye grew large. HOLYARCE----!!! He didn't get to finish his sentence and was instead chomped down upon and fainted then and there. Falling backwards and turning into a black puddle of goo after that, the Duskull was out cold. Suddenly a snickering could be heard from above, and if one's eyes directed themselves towards the sound, they would see a Pikachu sitting on the rafters snickering a bit at the Duskull having fainted.

Azure's eyes seemed to light up as it looked at the Litwick claiming she could help. Sucker, it thought, its devious thought hidden behind a hopeful look. "You will?" It shuffled a little, looking a little embarrassed. "You girls really think he'd, like, like me?"
Bianca stared at the puddle of ectoplasm, and Tyson padded over to prod at it over and over with his paw, mewing in one part fascination, one part concern. On one paw, he didn't mean to melt it, but on the other, it had melted, and that was kinda awesome.
Bianca's eyes drifted upward. Oh, a Pikachu. Cute. Also out of reach, which was something Tyson didn't seem to realize when he noticed it, too, and abandoned his investigation of the passed-out Duskull and instead started hopping up and down, pawing in the rodent's general direction. He wasn't thinking about fighting it; it was just another electric thing and he wanted it to play with him.
Bianca glanced between the puddle and the rodent. "Well, hello there. Friend of yours?" she asked, an amused smile on her lips. She was considering capturing the Duskull, but if this Pikachu was his best buddy or something and just had a slightly cruel sense of humour, she'd back off.

Two of the Litwik's looked at one another, but the third and the fourth seemed to both nod in unison. Yep! They were sure it'd turn out great. <Like yep yep~! We'll all help you right girls?> the first asked looking back. After a moment, the other three nodded in unison.
The Pikachu looked downwards and watched the small electrical cat for a few moments rather amused by Tyson's antics, yet as the human asked if the duskull was a friend of his, the Pikachu shook his head a bit. Nope, he'd just been watching and thought it was kinda funny that the ghost had melted....."Chuuuuuu" he stated before suddenly making to jump straight off the beam and then onto the ground. He landed well enough and then seemed to pad over towards the Shinx.

Azure giggled happily. "Oh, you girls are, like, so great!" it said with a starry-eyed, grateful expression. "This is just...just wow!" Now it just needed to suffer through a few girly preparations, then it'd get to meet this wonderful guy and show its actual charms.
The shake of the Pikachu's head confirming that she wasn't depriving him of a friend, Bianca tossed a pokeball in the direction of the melted ghost. She knew a few people who liked things like Duskull, so she was sure he'd find a home soon enough.
Tyson settled down a little when the other electric type came down, though he still bounced a little on the fronts of his paw. "Hi!" he mewed, giving the Pikachu a friendly smile.

Ah yes the Litwick group seemed to have the most interesting time for 'preparations' which consisted of short talks about prince charming, a Cinderella complex, how to act when not swooning over him, and how to use a mix of manners and surprise speaking. All in all, their advice was filled with holes here and there, yet if one stopped to actually consider who it was coming from, none would question it. Why you ask did the writer not write out everything? Simply enough, the use of writing the word 'like' that many times was starting to sicken her a bit, you see.
The Duskull was drawn into the pokeball, and within a second or so, it rang a quick ding in capture.
Name: Species: Duskull Gender: Male Ability: Levitate Personality: A bit slow but easy going, this Duskull takes most of what he gets in life with a cool head and calm manner. However, when he is attacked or something horrible comes along, he is prone to panicking and flailing his arms about in fear. He will follow orders when given them, in hopes that his trainer knows what he or she is doing, and though he rarely throws his weight into all attacks, he seems to be willing to fight. He actually dreams of living near some sort of shrine and meditating there in order to seek true inner peace.
The call of the Shinx made the Pikachu grin. <Sup?> he answered the 'hi'. Well this cat was friendly enough~ Maybe they'd rock and roll or somethin'?
