Wess soared through the air on Terry's back. It was hot- Extremely hot, to the point he was groaning. Terry on the other hand, seemed to enjoy soaking up the sunlight so much, he went even faster. As they landed on the beach, the five year old scoured around.
He needed an extremely powerful water type Pokemon- One that could keep the majority of his team from being decimated by a fire Pokemon. Nicki was his only line of defense against them- That wouldn't do at all. So, in order to defend his team, something around the lines of a hydro cannon would be needed.
Sighing, he let out Maggie to help him look around- Her and Terry would be the Pokemon of choice to use here.

[Pelipper - F] ~ [Barboach - F] ~ [Shellos - M]
Soaring the skies just over top of the water a Pelipper lazily searched for food. She was looking for any small fish or shrimp me could scoop up with her large beak. Swimming in the water and trying to keep himself out of the site of the Pelipper was a small Barboach. She really did not want to become dinner. Not too far off the shore line a pink Shellos sat, happily soaking up the sun and the small splashes of water from the waves.

Wess sighed, looking up overhead as the Pelipper passed over him without a glance. His head turned to Maggie and Tropius. As if he were the head of a search party, he said, "Fan out, but don't leave my sight. We're not searching for any of these Pokemon. Also, Nicki, can you carry me?" With a flash of bright light, a Nidoqueen joined the party. Smiling at her, he climbed on her back, while Nicki stooped over on all fours and sniffed at the ground, like a bloodhound.
Their searches led them in different directions. Terry flew over the ocean, keeping a close eye down towards the ocean beds and shallow water. Maggie shot across the beach, her own eyes searching in the sand and across the shallows.
Nicki and Wess, on the other hand, found themselves sniffing across the tide zones, while Nicki smelled at the ground, hunting evidence of a passerby.

[Sandile - M] ~ [Marill - M] ~ [Pidgeot - F] ~ [Ducklett - F] ~ [Dwebble -M] Along the beach a small Sandil was digging away at the sand, not really paying attention to the boy and his pokemon. There were also a few Dwebble littering part of the coast but aside from that there wasn’t really anything else in sight on the beach. Over the ocean where Terry was searching there didn’t appear to be anything visible in the rising waves. Extreamly high above him, however, flew a Pidgeot. In the Shallows where Maggie was searching the only thing that came to view was a Ducklett. It was despartly trying to make its way back to the shore in an attempt to get away from the Hurricane that was brewing up.

Terry's attention sapped to the Pidgeot. With a fierce shriek, he called to Maggie that he found something good. A Magnet Rise later, the satellite like Pokemon was hovering over the ocean, in front of the Pidgeot. The two heavy Pokemon fluttered around her, as if they were on hurricane patrol.
"My trainer needs a strong Pokemon like you for negotiating things like this. Either come with us, or we'll have to make you. These winds are dangerous... Make your choice,"
With a screech from below at the incoming storm, Nidoqueen temporarily stopped her search. In an amazing showcase of power, she unleashed a bulldoze, ripping up a lot of sand to form a crater for her makeshift son to hide in. Letting out a loud call, she then rushed out, leaving Wess there. The little baby Ducklett was in need of assistance. All of the other Pokemon had defenses, but the struggling baby need much assistance by the look of it. Attempting to pick it up, she would then cradle it and run back to the crater she made if successful.

[Sandile - M] ~ [Marill - M] ~ [Pidgeot - F] ~ [Ducklett - F] ~ [Dwebble -M] The Pidgeot eyed both the pokemon as they flew beside and listened as one of the explained the situation. Was she… being taken hostage? She was certain she could out fly a giant dinosaur and so metal tin but it would be interesting to at least see what these two dopes had in store for her and who this trainer was. If they thought for one second she was going to go about bullying others for these, ‘negotiations’ then they were sorely wrong. Either way, she followed the two with a small nod of her head. The Ducklett was more than happy to hop into the Nidoqueen’s arms as she came to save her. She was so grateful and so scared. She thought she was going to be lost out on the sea forever and ever.

Wess cradled the Ducklett in his arms. "It'll be okay, Miss Snuggefluff. Sit tight and it'll be over before you know it!"
Leading her back towards their trainer, Terry and Maggie gently dropped into the hole created by Nicki. There they beckoned at their trainer, before Terry zipped back off into the air to search for any other injured Pokemon, or perhaps a stronger one that Wess would enjoy.

[Pidgeot - F] ~ [Ducklett - F] ~ [Staryu - F] The little Ducklett snuggled into Wess as the boy protected him from the upcoming storm. She hadn’t even noticed the three pokemon landing in the small shelter. The Pidgeot, her eyes gleaming with pride looked over at this so called, ‘trainer’ that she had been brought to. He looked like nothing special to her. If anything she was now seeing him as a spoiled little brat. Just because he had a few strong pokemon on his side he believed he could just force others to join? Ha! She was having none of that! The only pokemon who could be seen sitting on the shore was a small Staryu. She had beached herself in order to keep from being tossed about by the high waves. The only other thing that could be seen was a small black ball floating in the water.

Maggie eyed the Pidgeot with a bit of annoyance. The look she was giving her trainer was obvious that she wouldn't join by choice. However, perhaps if she could waver the Pidgeot into joining them... "Wess here, that's our trainer's name, caught us. Whether it was through kindness, which he is exhibiting to that Ducklett now, or through battling, such as several other Pokemon, he's much more than whatever you're thinking. As for bullying others around, he didn't tell us to. He told us to call if we saw something interesting. We find it easier to be aggressive in such dangerous weather to hurriedly round up those who we find interesting. However, if you would like a battle, be sure that I'm up for a little one versus one. Terry here is more of a scout, since he can fly much better than I can levitate,"
"Oh, Maggie, Terry, you're back! And you brought back a pretty birdie! If we can catch these two, we can have birdie friends!"
Fishing through his backpack, he brought out some Pokemon food, he cupped one hand under the Ducklett's jaw, so she could eat out of his hand. Meanwhile, the other hand offered some to the Pidgeot.

[Goldeen - M] ~ [Floatzel - M] ~ [Pidgeot - F] ~ [Ducklett - F] The Pidgeot scoffed at Maggie’s words. < Bad weather is never a reason to threaten someone. All you need do is ask. You should both be ashamed of yourselves.” Her eyes then narrowed as readied herself to comment on the battle challenge, “ And what do you take me for? A fool? I know what you are. Taking you on in a battle would be no wiser than me purposely flying into a nest of Eelektross. There is nothing noble in battling an uneven battle.> Her gaze then fell back to the boy as he offered her food and called her a birdie. Oh no, she was not going to become some baby sitter and she defiantly was not going to eat what he offered her. She was a noble creature and thus she required only the up most perfect tastes for her foods. So, being as stubborn as she was, she twisted her head away and stuck her beak up in the air, refusing the food. The Ducklett on the other hand was more than excited to be given the food. Not to mention that word ‘friends’ just made her that much more overjoyed. Her wings quickly flapped open and she gave a really big smile, < I want to be your friend!> She announced to Wess before nibbling some of the food.

<Then battle me.> Terry announced. He looked eager to test his strength. <I may generally be a taxi and scout, but I've found myself more than capable in certain situations. Even with my type disadvantage.>
Wess giggled at the chirping Ducklett. She was so adorable, he could just take her home. He turned to look at the Pidgeot. Offering her a light smile, he took his hand down, bringing the food he offered her back to the Ducklett. "Friendly friends!"
Nicki, the Nidoqueen however, had more perplexing matters at hand. She was shooting ground attacks and using attacks like Earth Power to make sand explode to counteract with the nearby lightning. Turning to Maggie, she indicated it was her turn to take a go. Pulling off one of Terry's fruits, she offers it to the Pidgeot. "Kings and Queens have a hard time getting a hold of fruits like these. It's like ambrosia, try it,"

[Goldeen - M] ~ [Floatzel - M] ~ [Pidgeot - F] ~ [Ducklett - F] < That is very noble of you.> The bird pokemon commented almost ready to battle the grass type before becoming distracted by the Nidoqueen. She had pulled a piece of fruit off of Terry’s chin and was now offering her it. < Normally I eat fish, small rodents, berries and small nuts.> the Pidgeot commented before reaching out her clawed foot to take the offered food, < But I will give this a try.> After taking the food she began to eat away at it, forgetting about the challenge all together. Once the Ducklett had eaten all she could eat, the tiny water pokemon snuggled into Wess and let out a small, happy cooing sound. It seemed the bird really liked Wess.

Wess seemed to snuggle with the little bird too. He letting out a cooing noise, hugging the little bird. "Hey, Miss Ducklett. Do you want to come along with us? We can have so much fun!"
The Nidoqueen looks at the Pidgeot expectantly, waiting on her to finish.

[Pidgeot - F] ~ [Ducklett - F] The Little Ducklett stretched out her neck in surprise when the boy asked her if she would like to go with them. After a moment of thinking it over she bunched herself together, his head turning to the side as she blushed. “ Lett” She said softly, batting her eyes and smiling. It seemed she did want to go with Wess. When the Pidgeot finished the fruit that had been given to her, her narrow eyes fell back onto the Nidoqueen, “ It tasted alright” She agreed. She had no idea why Kings and Queens would want it, but then humans did like odd foods.

Wess pulled out a Pokeball. Popping it open, a bright flash of light attempted to engulf the Ducklett before pulling it into the red and white orb.
Terry seemed to narrow his eyes. Alright?... =_____= Who did this Pidgeot think she was? The fruit was raw, it was practically the best thing an herbivore Pokemon could eat in the wild. Either way, the flying plant dinosaur looked at her. <Do you take my offer of friendship and wish to come with us? I will battle you if that will have you accompany me, even if our type difference is potentially deadly to me.>

[Pidgeot - F] As the Pokeball shut, the small light on the button went out and it rang in capture. Name: Species: Ducklett Gender: Female Ability:Hydration - Cures any major status ailment after each turn during rain. Personality: This small water duck loves to swim and play in the sun. However, when the weather starts getting bad and winds become rather strong, the poor creatures becomes rather frightened and panicked. During these times she loves to hug and cuddle. She loves to battle but is very timid and gets stressed easily while doing so. Most often she will end up forfeiting the battle by hiding behind her trainer in fear. < I will take your offer of friendship, however I will not follow you and the a battle does not sound appeasing. I am no barbarian. Settling things by battling is just that.> The large bird like pokemon replied snobbishly. < I see no reason to waste my time with some child.> It seemed it wasn’t going to be that easy to convince the pokemon into coming with them.

With the hurricane-like weather over and replaced by fog and mist, Maggie narrowed her eyes. Terry however, was playing some kind of angle. He simply nodded. <We would really like you to come with us. I prefer not to use violence due to our new friendship. Please?>
Wess giggled as the Ducklett disappeared into it's ball. The Ducklett would make a pretty Swanna... He'd make sure she'd make it. If through battle or otherwise. The timid little creature would become magnificent with time.

[Pidgeot - F] Still being stubborn the Pidgeot asked, “ What is in it for me?” At rather simple, if a bit selfish of a question, “ I do not like kids, and will not be one to protect the boy. I can travel on my own and hunt well enough to never go hungry. So why, I ask again, would I want to come with you?” At least she was honest.

Terry looked at the Pidgeot, contemplating what to say next. After a few moments of silence, he says, <There's no way we can convince you nicely. Violence shouldn't be the answer to this situation. You may hunt for yourself, and be one of the strongest creatures ever. However, myself and the new Ducklett are not as capable as you are in feats of strength. If you would come along, I guarantee it that Wess would let you go on as usual, if only you help those flying Pokemon.>

[Pidgeot - F] Help the flying pokemon… hummmmm…. < Alright> the Pidgeot chirped, still in a rather stuborn tone, < I will come with you to help the other flying pokemon but I will not fight for the boy.> She claimed, holding her body up straight and firm. It most likely wasn’t exactly what Terry was hoping for but at least the Pidgeot was agreeing to come along.
