[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance paused a moment at Felis’s words, an eyebrow raising and his arms crossing over his chest. “You’ve known me for how long, Felis, and in one year you think I’d become that careless?” He had done a lot of sneaky things in his lifetime, mostly to his parents, but he never liked to believe he was careless. Most of the time he found himself over thinking way to often. At least Felis’s reply convinced Lance that Felis had defiantly not been planning anything either. “Besides, when I have ever lied to you?” Well ok, he lied to him all the time, but none that he had been caught for… wait, “Not including the time I shredded one of your rose bushes.” After listening to Felis’s response on that Lance heard the sudden novice voice behind him. It sounded rather familiar but he couldn’t quite place why. As he turned around his eyes widened and a slight panic ran through his veins. ‘He was dead. There are no such things as ghosts…’ His mind reasoned with himself when he suddenly realized. It hadn’t been Ferd’s lifeless body he had seen. No, it had been Celio’s body he had seen. Ferd was just a couple years older now was all. Ghosts… how foolish. “Ferd…” Was all Lance was able to say as he waited for Felis’s reaction. Yet another Rossi had survived the fire. He had been surprised when he first learned that Felis had survived. Seeing another brother alive angered him. Then again, maybe it would make things easier as well… [/scrolly] [bg=black]

Ah so that was why then. After a moment, Rosa's head turned and a large smile came to her face. "Oh cool!" she grinned at Tai before suddenly realizing that she was missing a few people in the room. Looking around, Rosa frowned. "Hey where'd they go..." she murmured to herself. As he listened to Lance, Felis's face went from a frown to a half smile to a look of complete and utter shock. "It was you!" he stated. However, before he could finish this irritated realization, someone was talking from behind him. Felis's eye slid backwards, and he quite literally jumped forwards turning around sharply and blinking with a look of utter confusion on his face. That... Ferd.... what... but.. he... but... what.... Felis was dumfounded and had no words for all he wanted to say at that particular moment. [/scrolly]

Wondering what was taking them so long, Elayne stood up and turned toward the hallway they'd come from,"I don't know..."Elayne said in a thoughtful voice before turning back to Rosa and the two butlers,"What do you say we see what's taking them so long?" This said, Elayne headed down the hallway they had come from and reached the room they'd just left to see not two, but three blonde-haired men. For some reason the youngest one looked....oddly familiar, though she couldn't seem to place his name...just like with Lance...Elayne backed up until she was leaning against a wall, wondering what on earth was going on. No doubt her face looked a little paler than usual, but Elayne didn't notice this and all but gawked at Ferd, unnerved that she should remember him, if only vaguely...hadn't Felis said he'd lost everyone in the fire...?[/scrolly]

Was... he really the only one who made it out? "Uh.... never mind then. Maybe.... You guys aren't who I thought you were.... DX I-I should probably get going then...." Ferd says rather quickly as he stood there. He then started to walk away rather quickly. They... looked familiar... but he could have been wrong. Tai and Tim had simply followed, not saying much else. They didn't know who the person was, so they just watched from where they were. Hmmm... [/scrolly]

The boy was… leaving? Ugh, he was growing up to be more pathetic than Felis ever was. It was painful just to watch. To Lance that was good news though. It meant he would fall easily when the time came for the nobles of Era to disband. He didn’t bother saying anything, knowing quite well that Felis would probably chase after the boy. It almost made him wonder… would he have chased after him as well… He… Damnit. It was weak thinking of such things. Suddenly the phone in Lances upper pocket began to vibrate causing Lance to look down. His hand reached up and he quickly flipped it open, turning slightly so he wasn’t facing any of them. After a few words he shut the phone again and tucked it away before making his way up to Felis. “I have someone I’d like you to meet.” He claimed, forcing a smile despite he slight jealousy before turning to walk away. “I’ll be back in a moment.” He was going to meet the young woman he had met before at Felis’s front gate. Hopefully she would help give him that leverage he was needing for Felis. Once he was outside, he looked around a bit for her. Hopefully she wouldn’t be too shocked by his attire. The first time they had met he had actually been dressed down. [/scrolly] [bg=black]

She'd woken up early to get ready but had gotten absorbed in some paper work and then tackled by several of her Pokemon, particularly the younger ones. After finally removing them from herself, she'd finished getting dressed... into the most elaborate dress she'd never imaged herself wearing. When she'd mentioned that she had to go somewhere with a 'Lance Rossi' to her grandparents and their friends, the elderly couples had nearly thrown a fit. "ROSSI?!" they'd exclaimed in shock. As she'd nodded, their reaction seemed to escalate. Her grandmother insisted they get her this dress... she couldn't possibly show herself to royalty in her normal clothes, after all. But... she could hardly move in the clothes they'd pretty much forced upon her. The silver heels were in her hand so she could hurry more effectively while she held up the dress so as not to trip over it or dirty it. Said dress was entirely black, but it shimmered even in the faint light of the cloudy day. While the bottom seemed too big for her small body, the top was tight save for a sash-like piece that attached at the hip and served as the single strap to hold it on. This strap was actually several pieces of overlaying fabric -- black, silver, black, and silver again. As she ran, she had a shiny Cleffa on her shoulders making sure her hair stayed in place. After all, it was mostly held up by clips and bobby pins and she worried about it coming undone. Two more Pokemon were also following, but they were flying. Chiharu, the Illumise that had not gotten along well with Lance before, had insisted upon coming with her and as a result so had her daughter. The albino hybrid looked worried about the whole ordeal, but was focused upon the Cleffa holding her human's hair together. This could end in disaster if anything went wrong! Ruka, however, was not nearly as worried about things messing up as she was of simply being late. It was such a rude gesture and she felt horrible... so that was why she'd called, to inform the man that she was on her way. She'd apologized profusely on the phone already, even though she didn't seem to be all too late. Finally, she came upon the castle and saw Lance waiting. Smiling, she hurried over and bent down to put her shoes back on. "I'm so sorry I'm late, Lance... Thank you for meeting me out here and happy birthday! I, um..." Patting herself down rather quickly, it seemed she was looking for something. Then, Daisy pulled out the little gift-wrapped box from the part of the sash that was on the back of the dress and presented it to Lance bashfully. "Ah, yes... I got you this. It's... not much, but..." It was the least she could do for his birthday... she just hoped he'd like the small pocket watch. It was stainless steel rather than any fancy metal but at least it was sturdy. [/scrolly]

Rising quickly, she had headed down as well. It was then that her eyes caught sight of---- Ferd? Rosa stopped and blinked slowly. Felis bit his lip rather hard when Ferd had started to walk away and barely even registered that Lance said he was going somewhere only nodding a general ok. It was only after this that Felis snapped back into reality. "Ferdinando Philipe Rossi if that's you, you better not be a ghost," Felis stated after a moment sucking in air and somehow managing to compose himself. [/scrolly]

That explained a lot, it was another of Felis' brothers but...Elayne had thought that only Lance, Felis and Rosa had survived the fire....how had Ferdinando survived as well? Looking at the brothers now, Elayne waited to see what would happen next, hardly realizing that Lance had just left. Elly caught up with Elayne and watched as Lance left, wondering what he was up to before returning her attention to the younger man and Felis. Apparently the newcomer's name was Ferdinando, and he seemed nice...at least as far as first impressions were involved...all that was really left to do was wait...[/scrolly]

I've been living away from here for a while and couldn't make it back until now. You... one of them... right? Cause people rumored that things happened to some people, but seeing you.. I know it was a lie!!! W-where is everyone else then?" Ferd asks rather quickly. He spotted Rosa and knew her.. but... Lance and Felis were the only others. W-where could they gone? He gulped as he waited and the butlers just seemed to absorb what was being said without any words. [/scrolly]

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] ‘Such a sloppy girl’ Lance thought to himself as he watched Ruka draw closer, putting her shoes on along the way. Yet oddly enough, he found her attempt to dress up, mixed with her sloppiness kind of… well attractive. He wasn’t sure what it was about her but he did find himself fascinated with her beauty. Perhaps it was the reason so many fights over women occurred. With a look of surprise filling his features he took a couple steps closer to her and reached out to set a hand gently on her cheek. “You look absolutely stunning.” He commented, his dark eyes gazing at her face for a few moments before looking down at the gift she had presented him. Lowering his free hand from her cheek (as his other hand was still holding a balloon) he took the gift. In all honesty, the balloon and her gift were the first gifts he had received in over two years. “You didn’t have to… thank you.” He gave her a small smile before unwrapping the small box and taking out the watch. It was cheep looking compared to most of the watches he could buy himself but he didn’t comment on that. Instead he attached the watch to an inner part of his fancy coat and tucked it into a pocket “It’s perfect.” Lance was just about to reach out to stroke her cheek again when remembered where he was. He needed to return to Felis and Rosa. Hopefully the appearance of Ferd wouldn’t ruin everything he had planned for the day. “Come, I’ll introduce you to my family.” He presented her with an arm to take, “Felis, my brother, I think he is starting to accepting me a little. And Rosa, you’ll just adore her. She’s so pretty. ” He explained along the way back to the castle. His voice sounded somewhat excited with his words in his own attempt to sound proud. Once in the castle once more, Lance led her towards the hall they had met Ferd in. “Felis,” he called out to his brother, hoping that he had given Felis at least enough time with Ferd that he could draw his brothers attention to Ruka, “I want you to meet Ruka. She’s a pokemon breeder.” He introduced her, waving a hand towards her with a soft smile. He had no intentions of introducing Ferd to her. The boy was… Well, Lance had never forgiven him for tattling on him so long ago. [/scrolly] [bg=black]

Just embarrassed and maybe a bit of a flutter in her chest. Relaxing a bit once he pulled away a little to open the gift, she smiled at his words. He liked it... or at least was acting as though he did. With no disappointment to be seen, she was rather proud of her choice. It was so difficult to choose anything without wondering how useless it would've been to him -- plus the nagging grandparents... "It was no problem at all," she assured him and then nodded to his suggestion of going inside. The girl was most definitely nervous, but Emi patted her gently on the head to reassure her. Reaching out to take his arm, Ruka followed him inside and nodded to his words about his family. She'd seen the picture so she knew the young girl was quite the pretty princess. "That's good news that he's accepting you more... I hope things work out." After all... she was here for moral support, despite appearances. Chiharu and Daisy looked at each other nervously for a moment -- they seemed to disagree on some things. The Illumise didn't like Lance much and had come to watch out for Ruka. However, her daughter, the hybrid, had only just met him and didn't see anything wrong with him. She was more worried about their human making a good impression. So they made their way in and all three Pokemon gave polite little bows to those in the room, particularly to Felis as Ruka was introduced. "It's a wonder to meet you. I hope it's alright that I brought some of my Pokemon here," she finally noted, looking between the two men. She hadn't asked Lance, even when she'd arrived... but he didn't seem to mind them. With so many people, though, Daisy started to look bashful and fluttered closer to her human shyly. On the other hand, Chiharu moved closer to Felis and gave an extra polite bow to him, perhaps trying to impress him. [/scrolly]

He could deal with public affairs, parties, and the like, but this was just.... Another part of him was then shot down by the fact that Ferd didn't recognize that he was Felis. What-- did he even remotely look like Lance? Feliciano sure couldn't see it, and now another part of him was starting to fret over that. After a moment, he settled for something between a laugh and a sigh. "Ferd how can you not tell us apart?" Felis finally stated. His eyes traveled over the young man's form, but Felis was finding himself pretty sure that it was, in fact, Ferd. He hadn't been the brightest... but then maybe...uhm... "FERRRRRRRRRRRRRRDIIIIIEEEE" was suddenly the shout that racked the walls of the castle as Rosa suddenly came to the full realization that another brother had come home. That meant... that meant Felis hadn't lied! They were all coming home! Everyone was coming home! In another second, she charged and flying glomped Ferd possibly knocking him down in the process. "Ferd what are you doing here?" Felis murmured before suddenly dismissing that and making to quickly glomp the young man after Rosa. "I mean... it's really good to see you," he chimed. Slowly stepping back after, he made a gesture over towards Elayne. "Ferd you remember Elayne, or cousin?" he asked after a moment. Rosa slowly got back up as well and rubbed the back of her head giggling quite a lot as she did so. However, Felis didn't have a chance to see the reaction of either Ferd or Elayne for just then Lance called out, and Felis found his head turning to see Lance leading in someone else that he had introduced as Ruka. The blond mentally sighed but smiled all the same, and even as Ruka spoke, he stepped forwards, took a light bow, and produced a red rose from somewhere within his coat and held it out to Ruka. "Nice to meet you, and if you wouldn't mind keeping fire types within their pokeballs, you can keep most others out." After a moment, he stood upwards and looked at the pokemon that were with Ruka. He could tell what the first two were but the hybrid confused him a little. However, it at least somewhat resembled an Illumise, so he assumed it was some sort of hybrid. Rosa's head had turned when she heard Lance call despite the fact that it had not been her name he had said, and as she caught sight of Ruka, something in Rosa hesitated. She wasn't sure why or if there was even a reason to.... it was just...... [/scrolly]

For a moment Elayne remained silent, smiling at Rosa's reaction to Ferd and waited until the siblings were done greeting each other before she was introduced. Extending a hand to Ferd, Elayne smiled and nodded her head in greeting,"Nice to see you again ... last time I saw you, you were much younger. I'm glad to see that you are well,"she replied in a kind voice before hearing Lance introduce Ruka as a breeder. At the mention of Ruka being a breeder, Elayne's attention shifted immediately from Ferd to Ruka, eyes sparkling with delight and excitement. Dozens of questions filled her mind at that moment pertaining to Pokemon and how to raise them though Elayne hardly knew which one she should ask first. All but gaping at Ruka, Elayne had finally thought of a question to ask her when Felis bowed to Ruka and gave her a rose just like he had the day he had found Elayne in the woods. For a moment Elayne's excitement subsided as she looked at Felis, wondering in some part of her mind exactly where he had gotten the rose while the other part was more frustrated than anything that she wasn't able to ask her question yet ... or at least until Felis had finished talking with Ruka but other than telling her to keep fire types inside it didn't seem Felis was going to say anything else. Elayne waited for a little while to see if anyone was going to say anything else before she took a step towards Ruka and finally blurted the first question that came to mind,"You'rereallyabreeder?" As soon as the words left her mouth, or rather a string of words run together so that they sounded almost like one word, Elayne was mentally kicking herself for asking such a stupid question. Lance had just said that Ruka was a breeder after all ... after taking a few deep breaths Elayne shook her head and tried again,"Sorry ... I mean I want to be a breeder too and I'm working on it but I'm kind of an amateur. I've bred some Pokemon already but ... your hybrid is absolutely adorable~ what's her name? She's a Cacnea Illumise hybrid right?"Elayne said in a clearly excited voice, hardly containing her excitement and would have continued to question Ruka if Elly's soft laughter hadn't registered just then. Glancing at the Espeon, she smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of her head, blushing slightly out of the realization that she'd just kinda ranted to a woman she'd just met. Elly laughed softly at shook her head, it was very rare to see Elayne so excited ... but Elly certainly wasn't complaining. Looking over at the Cleffa that had bowed to Felis, Elly chuckled softly and turned to look at the other two Pokemon, an Illumise and ... a hybrid which, according to Elayne was part Cacnea and Illumise. Nodding to them in greeting, Elly sat near Elayne's feet and swished her tail back and forth contentedly, still rather amused by Elayne's excitement at the end of it all.[/scrolly]

"I haven't seen either of you since the fire... I really didn't know..." Ferd says rather silently. He was suddenly glomped and found himself lying on the ground with Rosa hugging him. He laughed and hugged her back before looked up at Felis. "You... really don't want me here, do you?" he asks silently. He then heard what Felis said afterward and seemed a bit confused. He was suddenly glomped again by Felis, but he seemed almost hesitant. It worried Felis a bit, but he looked over at Elayne. Who was that girl...? She seemed familiar, but he couldn't quite figure it out. "Uh... it's nice to meet you.. ^_^ I don't really remember you that much.." Ferd says hesitantly. Ferd had gotten up by now and shook her hand with a smile. Ferd then heard what must have been Lance talking about some girl he brought. Now he was entirely confused. There were so many people here, but he was still missing some chunks of his family. Finally the question hit him, and he looked over at Felis. "Felis... where is everyone else? I want to tell Mom I'm back." Ferd says rather slowly. [/scrolly]

(Which was a probably a very good thing) He had noticed the… affectionate hug… something that he hadn’t gotten… it… no he wasn’t jealous… that was just foolish. Felis’s reaction didn’t matter as long as he got what he wanted out of the man. It… It had always been like that anyway, right? The oldest brother… he had always been a disappointment to the family. It didn’t matter. He wasn’t jealous… he… He would use this to his advantage! The damn buggers had no idea what they were falling into! Ha! A smiled slipped onto his face as Felis welcomed Ruka and soon after so did Elayne, kind of. Did geeking out on Ruka over breeding count as a greeting? Eh, as long as Ruka was liked. However, Lance did notice that Rosa had stayed quiet which caused that smile on his lips to fade. “Rosa,” He called out to her, his dark blue eyes settling on her with a stern undertone. “Come say hello.” He wasn’t sure why his little Rosa hadn’t already said hello but it didn’t matter. He wasn’t going to let her be rude. Not his little Rosa. After asking Rosa to come and say hello, the question from Ferd reached Lance’s ears and he fond himself turning around abruptly. Did the boy not know that… A sudden image formed in Lance’s mind. The fire and Rosa surrounded by… No, their mother would not be coming back. Lance knew that first hand. As much as he would like to completely crush Ferd at that moment by claiming she wouldn’t be coming back, Lance held it in. He knew his tactics on these things often came out harsh even when he was trying to be delicate on them. No, Felis should be the one to handle this. He would… pretend to care about what Felis thought about Ferd not knowing and follow from their. “Felis…” Lance turned his attention to his brother and gave a somewhat worried look that silently read, ‘What do we do?’ [/scrolly] [bg=black]

The rose surprised her a little but she shyly accepted it with a little giggle, nodding her head. "Oh, then not to worry. These three are the only ones that came with me and... I don't have anywhere to store more Pokeballs on this dress and... um, I don't own any purses." She felt a little awkward admitting that but that was mostly because she felt surrounded by blessed people and she struggled a little for what she had. When she heard the question from Elayne, she turned and smiled warmly, nodding her with a small giggle. "That's quite an admirable aim. There will always be new things to learn, however, so don't look at me as any better; anyone that breeds their Pokemon is someone you might be able to learn something from. You could probably help me out with some pointers, even." That was a hard-learned lesson for the woman that she'd gotten here in Era. "You are very right about her. She's also albino! However, for whatever reason, she couldn't shove that emotion form the back of her mind, and Rosa had no idea why. At Ferd's question, Felis gave a soft cough and bit the inside of his mouth softly. His eyes shifted to Rosa for a moment before they shifted back again. Forcing a smile, Felis looked at Ferd. "Ah... We need to talk about a few things, it seems..." he finally stated before looking towards Tai and Tim. "Tai, Tim would you mind showing Rosa, Elayne, and Miss Ruka the backyard gardens? They're very lovely right now seeing as spring has finally come nearly full circle...." he chimed as best he could. "We'll be out in a bit as well, but I need to talk a bit...." he stated making a motion to both brothers. Though he wasn't sure why he hadn't sent one brother out and had a conversation one at a time, Felis kept to his decision. Rosa blinked a few times at Felis's words before finally smiling and nodding. Taking Elayne's hand, she started to walk but stopped a moment and looked back towards Ruka as that flicker came and went again. Reaching to take Ruka's hand as well, Rosa managed to keep her smile. After a moment she removed her hand from Felis' shoulder as Ruka began to speak and smiled, though not near as brightly as she had been earlier out of worry for Felis."Daisy is a beautiful name, she certainly looks every bit as beautiful as her mother as well. It seems she got the best traits of both parents. Maybe later I can show you Elly's sons and daughter, two of them just recently hatched and I have three other eggs I'm taking care of right now,", Elayne replied before Felis asked if the butlers would show them the gardens. Looking back at Felis, Elayne nodded and hoped that everything would be all right ... . Feeling Rosa take her hand, Elayne looked down at her and smiled as she allowed herself to be led away, trying to reassure herself that everything would be all right ... Felis would be fine after all ... . Shaking her head slightly, Elayne pushed the thoughts away and tried to calm herself down. Elly nodded at the Cleffa when he waved at her before looking up at Elayne, sensing that there was something wrong but not wanting to invade Elayne's thoughts to find out what. When Felis suggested they see the gardens, Elly simply nodded and followed after her trainer without a second thought.[/scrolly]

The only woman they saw around here was simply Rosa, and now this Ruka girl. Once given an order, they both bowed. Tim seemed to take his job a bit more seriously and his bow was quicker, and found himself already leading the way, and Tai was pretty much following him. They opened all of the doors along the way, and Ferd found himself getting nervous. ".... Felis.... Why did you make everyone leave? W-where is mom? Where are the others too. T-they are just off somewhere else... right? M-mom can't.... She..." Ferd found himself doubting himself the longer he went on, until he started to get the message that he was going to be presented with. It was all just in his head.. right? It seemed his little Rosa had obeyed his words anyway. He had expected as much. The girl had always been good at listening to his orders, for the most part. He did, on the other hand, still find it odd that Rosa was playing shy with Ruka. He would have to ask Felis if this was becoming a common trait in the child. If not, perhaps he would need to have a talk with Rosa. Though he had a feeling that would be harder said than then. For some reason he had a feelings Felis wouldn’t willingly leave Rosa alone with him. That thought alone caused the jealousy of Ferd’s warm welcome home to only brew even more. Speaking of Ferd… Felis had requested everyone to head to the gardens and when the hall was emptied, Lance found himself unable to hold his tongue. Though he did attempt to keep his words from being too harsh. “Mother, Celio, and Maria will not be returning.” he claimed in a somewhat stern tone. He had not said Ada’s name as he hadn’t seen her body or heard anything regarding her since the day of the fire. Perhaps a few days ago he would claimed she was dead, but then, he would have also claimed Ferd was as well. With the reappearance of Ferd, Lance always dreaded the thought of Ada coming back as well. [/scrolly] [bg=black]
