New Discoveries (Caden/Mod)

[Snow Soul]

The day was warm and the sun shining with a few clouds for some shadow every now and then. Jumping about were some wild pokemon as they played. Soon the mothers would probably come to take them for a nap. A little ways in the medium length grass two Shiny pokemon ran around. The shiny eevee and shiny umbreon played a weird game of hide'n'seek/tag. Both were running about while a Cyndaquil followed after her flaming back flaring excitedly. Jumping up she tried to go after the Eevee. A bit farther a Furret was digging to try and find something or maybe bury something. A few yards to the left of the Furret were two psychics talking about something or other mentally.

Among the tall grass was a red headed girl clad in a green shirt with blue jeans. Her emerald eyes seemed to be fixed on her drawing of the tall grass with pokemon playing in it. With her attention drawn to her sketchpad she more then likely wouldn't notice anyone for a bit. Rikka loved drawing her pokemon and tended to put the moment into her drawing to show the playfulness of the pokemon and the fun they were having. Another fifteen minutes and she seemed to be half way done. Looking up she smiled as she watched her pokemon jump around having fun with their little game.

Something sounded as if it were coming. Step by step, it was getting closer. That was when a Lucario appeared, carrying a boy who seemed kinda sad... and really thin. His overalls barely even fit on him now, and kept falling no matter how tight he pulled the straps. The Lucario sat him down and smiled. < ._. We have arrived. I hope you're okay. You haven't been looking to well lately. Out here though, you can just relax in nice weather. Nobody will mess with us here.> the Lucario says to the boy who almost instantly fell to the ground and lie there, eyes wide open. "Luc... I can't wait to finally find that money.. Everyone seems to have so much of it... We need to find it. DX I'm tired of eating scraps and barely getting through. I'm almost out of food again, and we've all been holding back what we ate so much! It's not fair..." Luca says slowly as he lies there. DX It really wasn't fair. He worked so hard to get the little bit they had to eat, yet they still went hungry. The nobles wouldn't care anyways. They acted like they were good, but deep down, even the youngest noble was evil. He would prove that one day, and the rebels would respect him, and he would get more to eat... and everything would settle down and the nobles would lose power. That sounded nice.. but... it was so far from happening DX First, he had to find some food. Around here, there weren't many people, so he wouldn't find any he- He suddenly noticed the girl and stared.

"Why... is there somebody here? Nobody is supposed to be here. DX I don't want to get laughed at again, Luc! T_T" Luca says rather quickly. Luc just stood there and studied the girl. She didn't seem bad...

Rikka didn't seem to notice the young boy and his Lucario as she watched her pokemon play from her spot in the grass. Laughing she picked a blade of grass and chewed on it a bit. It was a sweet grass and didn't even taste all that back. Looking back at her drawing she messed with it a bit adding lines and erasing lines. Suddenly she was tackled by her Furret who was holding something shiny. "Really now what did you find?" Tacking the shiny object she saw it was a feather of sorts. But Skarmory's didn't come here did they? Holding it up to the light she watched it glitter slightly. "Alrighty add it to the bag in your pocket. Remember that pocket only holds so much."

Night ran past Rikka and toward the boy unknowingly. Looking forward he bumped into the kid and rolled backward. Standing up he shook his head and blinked. Spotting the boy the shiny eevee crouched low and ran back to Rikka. He didn't particularly care for new comers. Jumping on her shoulder he tried to get her attention to the boy staring at her behind.

Rikka looked at Night and humored him by standing up and turning around. Blinking she spotted the boy and smiled. "Hello! I'm Rikka." She didn't even stopped to see if he was dangerous or not she just walked right over to greet him. She stopped a few feet away and crouched down to be eye level with him. Her eyes drifted over his scrawniness and blinked. She would have to get some food into the boy. He was definitely too skinny for his height.

Luca was just lying there, looking at Luc who studied the others. Suddenly, Luca was about to get rammed by Night, Luc hopped in the way and took the blow. He couldn't let a sick starving boy get rammed ._. Luca slowly looked over and stared at Rikka who came over. Luca had stepped back, but seemed ready to step in if something happened. "Luca.." he says somewhat lowly. DX Oh come on.. his rest barely lasted a minute! He stared at the girl with tired looking eyes. What'd she want? DX He was too hungry to worry about her right now.

Rikka watched him just lie there as she approached. Pour boy. Giving a small signal Night jumped off her shoulder and ran to get the others to help. Kiki teleported over right away looked him over. She could probably get rid of any sickness in him. Looking to the Lucario she tilted her head. Looking back at the boy she touched his forehead and let loose a heal wave to help his young body Recover. Abra arrived next with the bag as his side while Night and Moon came running over with Raikiri. "What kind of food would you like? I have fruits but can easily make apple sauce with the apples. Hmm." Rooting though her bag she pulled out some poke food and offered it to the Lucario.

Sitting on the grass she continued to root through her bag. "Ah ha! I found my candy stash." Pulling it out she also grabbed several apples, peaches and Oranges laying everything out before the boy. "Nice to meet you Luca. Now eat as much as you like. You look hungry and tired. Soon as the sun gets a little lower in the sky I can set up a tent. Till then your just gonna have to sleep in the sun." Her eyes seemed bright and cheery as though she didn't see the fact he had probably been neglected. Though she was apparently going to make him eat something along with making the Lucario eat too.

The Lucario looked at the Pokefood and seemed to hesitate. Luca always ate first.. that's how it was. He was more important. He also had to give food to the other pokemon. They were just as hungry as he was. He didn't accept it until he saw all of the other food. He then got in Luca's bag and released two other pokemon. The Lucario, Tyrogue, and Rattata all began to dig into the food they were given, seeming rather hungry.

Luca was amazed at how fast she started to give him things. He hadn't even asked her and given her that cute poor boy look ._. He sat up slowly after getting the heal wave. "..... How do you have so much food...? I starve and you have more than I've eaten all week....." Luca says rather slowly as he studied the food. His mouth was already drooling. He started with some actual fruits, since they would be much better for him than candy. Oh my gosh... it was so good <3 He was eating rather quickly until he felt it finally hit his stomach, then he slowed down. He then looked at the candy, and very slowly took some. It... was so good DX He'd only had Candy a few times before! Luca then looked back at Rikka. "Why.. did you just give me all of this? Others... they don't give much of anything, no matter how much I beg...." Luca says slowly. He figured she knew that he was poor and starving, but he wasn't sure... She was acting like he had just run a marathon and needed to rest

The three pokemon all let out happy calls that meant thank you. ^^ The Rattata looked a bit nervous though.

Rikka watched the Lucario hesitate before he let out too more pokemon. Blinking she grabbed another Container and opened it up for them. Kiki looked the other pokemon over and touched each of them giving them a heal wave also. They were about as bad a shape as the child. Stepping back to let them eat she sat near her friend Cloud and both discussed Rikka and her new found friends.

Rikka blinked as he started asking question. "Oh well I trade my drawings for supplies. It keeps me and my pokemon fed. Go ahead and eat as much as you like." Yeah she was a bit Strange but he was just a kid and starving at that. She smiled as he tasted the food then slowed down a bit. She loved the look of awe on his face as he ate a piece of candy. "Oh I'm just different. I like to share and so share is what I do."

Night deciding he had seen enough jumped behind Rikka to hide from them all. Moon on the other hand was checking out the new pokemon. No sooner had a peaceful moment passed then Flare, the cyndaquil burst through the grass and went tumbling. Rikka grabbed her before she could roll into any of the other pokemon. Flare shook her head and nuzzled Rikka before she hopped to her feet and looked at the New comers. She loved new friends. <Hello!! I'm Flare!>

Luca seemed rather happy as he kept eating. "I'm... really happy. I haven't eaten like this for so long... I can't even remember having anyone tell me to eat as much as I like with this much food.... ._. Thank you.. so much." Luca says rather slowly. He kept eating until he felt like any more could get him sick.

Luc was eating and saw the new container. He watched Flare come at them, but she was pulled away in time. <I am Luc.> Luc says calmly. Rattata suddenly went running away from them. <DX She was going to barbecue me! I know it!> he says rather quickly before finding a nice rock to hide behind. He was looking around it rather slowly. His Tyrogue looked at Flare and nodded, not really saying much else. ._. Yup.. his pokemon were all pretty odd.

Rikka smiled and thought about keeping him. Yeah she was all about helping people and he was cute so it didn't hurt. "Your welcome. I always have food to spare. Especially when I have Haunter with me. He likes to eat." She looked over at the pokemon and noticed the Rattata run away because of something. Before she could grab Flare, the fire pokemon ran after the scared Rattata thinking it was a new game. Rikka sweat dropped and looked to Moon. "Stop her before she traumatizes the poor Rattata."

Moon nodded and Chased after Flare pinning her down quickly. Sighing she blinked then jumped off after being singed by Flare's fire. Growling she tackled the fire pokemon and started to lecture her.

Luca practically stared at her as she talked about so much extra food. "It's... not fair. >.> People have so much food.. yet I'm starving just because of my parents... M-my... my... mom died... and.. my dad left before... I was born. I... I've been alone for years." Luca suddenly found himself bursting into tears. T_T He didn't like being like this. Other kids had parents or siblings.. but as far as he knew, he was entirely alone in the world, and would probably die before he was grown up. DDDDX

The Rattata saw Flare coming after him and suddenly got even more scared. He began running faster and faster before hiding in the grass. <S-she... was gonna kill me. DDDX I bet somebody's behind me! AAAAH!> the Rattata suddenly started to go crazy as he shivered and shook while running around. Everything to him was out to destroy him... and that included the grass....

Rikka listened to him and blinked. Yup she was taking him in! He needed the stability of someone there for him! As he burst into tears she reached over from her sitting spot and pulled him into her lap rocking him gently. "Shhh. Its okay. You can stay with me. That way you will always be fed! We travel a lot but we get to see lots of places. Oh and your Pokemon will be well fed too!" Rikka was careful not to go overboard with her cheeriness as she tended to do as she rocked the young boy gently.

Night noticed the crying boy and crawled down from Rikka's shoulder to his lap. Hesitantly he nudged the boys cheek gently. He was timid but he was like Rikka and didn't like to see others cry. Moon finished lecturing the Cyndaquil and hopped off of her and over to the Rattata slowly. He apparently had some mental problems. <Sorry She likes to make new friends and sometimes forgets that she can be a little scary. or annoying.> Leaving him to his own devices she went to check up on Rikka only to see that boy had started crying.

Luca seemed to halt his crying a little bit at her words. He was now sitting on her lap and was trying to calm down. "You mean..... like.... adopt... or something..?" he says somewhat slowly. He... was going to be adopted? That was the best news he's heard in his life! His crying started to stop, and he found himself hugging Rikka as the other pokemon nudged his cheeks."Thank you... so much.." he mumbles lowly in his happiness.

The Rattata listened to Moon for a moment before going back to being afraid. He then worn himself out and was now sleeping in the grass.

Rikka watched him try to calm and down and apparently take in her words. "Yup! You'd have all the company you can stand. Though you'd have to be happy with two weird Wingulls. Ones afraid of water!" The last part she tried to make it sound like a secret but smiled and showed that she was trying to cheer him up. Though it wasn't needed cause he hugged her and seemed to be happy as could be. Chuckling she hugged him back and rubbed his back.

Moon watched as the Rattata went back to being scared then passed out. Night watched the boy and sighed with relief that the boy was no longer crying. And he was part of the family now! Stretching he crawled onto Rikka's shoulder and slipped under her hair to hide basically. He wasn't a people pokemon. He was much too timid for that.

Luca was way too happy as he listened to her and even found himself laughing at the last words she said. ._. Wait... he just laughed! He hadn't laughed for so long! Never a happy real laugh anyways. He found himself suddenly so happy as he didn't let go of Rikka. Tears were streaming again, but they seemed to be tears of joy.

Smiling she ran her fingers through his hair gently. She loved kids!! They were second only to pokemon. Rubbing his back gently she noticed his tears of happiness. "Hey eat some more. Your just too skinny for your age." Moon wandered over and noticed the boy had yet to let go of Rikka. Why was it that Rikka had to try and take care of everyone she came upon? Moon just shook her head and knew Rikka wouldn't me Rikka if she didn't try to make everyone happy. [/scrolly]

Luca grinned happily and began to make his way back to the food and kept eating. He hadn't been this full in so long... He couldn't believe one girl would do this much for him. He'd gotten sandwiches and things from people.. but a buffet was just so much! He was now having trouble stopping eating. He didn't know when to stop because he'd never been full enough to.

A place to get him cleaned up and new clothes. She watched him continue to eat as though he didn't know what full was. "Alrighty You gotta slow down or your going to give yourself a tummy ache. Tummy aches are pleasant." Carefully she loaded up some of the food back into her bag. "Don't worry you can have more later." [/scrolly]

Luca looked a bit saddened when the food was taken away from him. There was so much.. and it was gone now. T_T He found tears forming in his eyes. "A Tummy Ache sounds better than starving!" Luca points out rather quickly. He was still a bit worried about Rikka though. What... would she do all of this for? He had nothing to give back to her...

How long had he been with out food? Blinking she cuddled him and held him like a child should be. "Don't worry I've got plenty so later when you have taken a nap to get some energy you can have more." Moon watched and sweat dropped over Rikka's antics. She always got this way around Children. She absolutely loved them and would often give them all the love she had. Moon though it might be a side affect from growing up an only child. Night thought it was just Rikka being the kind loving Rikka he knew. [/scrolly]

Luca smiled rather happily at what she said and just kept the hug going. "I... Thank you... I'll eat more later.." Luca says rather silently. He found his eyes getting heavy for some reason. Usually pains sent him into sleep.. but this was more relaxing. He had a full stomach.. and wasn't alone... He was smiling as his eyes closed and seemed to be getting sleepy already.
