The Wind In The Trees [Mod]

[Willow]

A black-haired girl weaved in between the trees in the Runic Glade, a Zorua by her side. While this certain girl seemed to always be in a horrible mood when around people she was wearing a serene smile at the moment, nature did that to her. Besides, there was something about this place, it had an almost magical feel to it. However, while the girl was enjoying it not everyone was. A wind was blowing at the moment and, while not strong enough to really cause any damage, it was enough to mess up the Zorua's fur. The Zorua looked up at the girl and asked, "Raven, do we have to be walking in this wind? We could easily find shelter, then we can rest and I can keep my fur tidy."

The girl, Raven, had to hold back a laugh as she looked at her Pokemon. Her fur was all fluffed up thanks to the wind, giving her a look that seemed to be a mixed of cute and annoyed. However, instead of laughing she simply grinned and said, "Don't be such a wimp Ilira, a little wind never hurt anyone!"

[Eevee - M] ~ [Leafeon - M] ~ [Togetic - M]

Not too far away from where the human and pokemon were walking, a Leafeon and a small Eevee were trotting along. They were making their way some where’s in quite a hurry. Not too far away from them a Togetic could be seen bouncing from flower to flower and giggling happily to it’s self. Aside from these three, not much else pokemon wise could be seen.

[Willow]

Ilira was preparing a rant about how she was not a wimp and how wind had hurt people when a pokeball on Raven's belt began to glow. Just a moment after she glanced at it it sprang open, revealing a very ruffled Cyndaquil. The fire-type glared at his trainer for a moment before exclaiming, "I told you not to put me in a pokeball!"

Raven rolled her eyes and commented, "yeah, then you started ranting about how Gia could not be trusted and we have to get rid of her." At this the Cyndaquil narrowed his eyes and muttered something that sounded like 'stupid water-type'.

[Lady Leaf]

[Eevee - M] ~ [Leafeon - M] ~ [Togetic - M] ~ [Natu - F]

The Leafeon and Eevee were still trotting along at a pretty fine pace. They didn’t seem to notice the human or the two pokemon at all. The Togetic on the other hand had seen the flash or red light when the fire type pokemon released it’s self from a pokeball. For a short moment the Togetic was rather amazed by the light but when it didn’t happen again he simply went back to playing on the petals. Not too far away a small Natu suddenly landed on a near by branch and began to stare off into space.

[Willow]

The Cyndaquil looked up at Raven and exclaimed, "you like that evil water-bird because she runs in the family or something like that, you have no proof that she is not evil! I mean, how long was she in that pokeball? She could have been waiting this whole time, plotting something horrible! I say we dispose of her right away."[/b]

Raven narrowed her eyes and commented, "you know what, Cyar? I think you're just jealous because Gia is a water-type and has the advantage! But if you feel so strongly about it, why don't you just bring it up with her instead?" Before the Cyndaquil, Cyar, could protest Raven opened a pokeball. After a quick flash or red light cleared a Piplup, Gia, appeared.

Ilira, not wanting to be involved in the oncoming fight between the two Pokemon, turned around and trotted away at rapid speeds, unknowingly heading toward the Eevee and Leafeon. Raven didn't really mind that the Zorua had left for the moment, she tended to wander off when both Cyar and Gia where out at the same time and always came back.

[Lady Leaf]

[Eevee - M] ~ [Leafeon - M] ~ [Togetic - M] ~ [Natu - F]

It was the Eevee who first spotted the Zorua as she trotted into their path. The tiny pokemon ended up jumping and hiding behind the Leafeon is fear. The Leafeon, not sure whether or not the Zorua was dangerous decided to stand very, very still. Only her dark eyes moved as she kept an eye on Ilira.

[Willow]

Gia narrowed her eyes at Cyar and asked in a cool yet frightening voice, "Raven must have let me out of my pokeball in a forest which tend to have grass-types for a reason, and judging by the lack of battles around here I'm assuming its you. So, what lies have you been spreading about me?" Cyar gulped in fear and took a step back, while he was normally a brave Pokemon Gia honestly scared him. In the meantime Raven walked over to a nearby tree and sat at its base, sometimes it was best to let the Pokemon work things out themselves. However, she would stop them if it got to violent.

Ilira gave a calm nod to the Eevee and Leafeon before commenting, " 'sup. You don't see two Pokemon from the Eevee line at once to often, are you related or going somewhere together?" While Ilira's voice was calm there was a curious sparkle present in the Zorua's eyes.

[Lady Leaf]

[Eevee - M] ~ [Leafeon - M] ~ [Togetic - M] ~ [Natu - F]

The Leafeon didn’t answer Ilira at first but instead continued to watch the dark type. It was the Eevee who slid under the Leafeon’s belly and popped his head out under the Leafeon’s chin who replied first. <My Pops!> He claimed in a small, yet proud voice. The Leafeon then nodded in agreement before asking in a much deeper, older voice, <Who are you?>

Once again the Togetic stopped bouncing from flower to flower when the human sat down near his tree. With it’s curious like nature, the white pokemon made it’s way over to Raven and leaned up against one of the tree’s branches. “Tooo tic?” It asked, which had meant, <What yah doing?>

[Willow]

The Zorua gave a nod of understanding when the Eevee said that the Leafeon was his father, that made since considering how the Eevee seemed like it was still a child. However, some part of her wondered where the mother was. Instead of asking that question she chose to reply to the Leafeon and answered in a collected voice, "I am Ilira, a Zorua as you can see. I'm a captured Pokemon, however my trainer a little ways back. This is because I decided to go for a stroll when two of my traveling partners got in to a fight, something I would rather not be in a middle of." Her answer was rather detailed instead of the usual name because she wanted to save the Leafeon the time of asking what she was doing and possibly delaying something important.

Raven smiled up at the Togetic. While she did not understand what is said perfectly she had a pretty good idea and answered, "I'm just sitting here watching my Pokemon. You see they got in a fight again and decided to let them figure it out themselves this time, they always seem to fight about which type is better. Honestly, sometimes I wish they could just see what its like to be in the other persons paws and get over it."

[Lady Leaf]

[Eevee - M] ~ [Leafeon - M] ~ [Togetic - M] ~ [Natu - F]

<Captured?> The Eevee asked, sounding a bit worried, <Oh no! Who captured you? They should let you go! The big meanies!> Though the Eevee sounded rather upset about this the Leafeon staid rather calm, blinking a couple of times. <You don’t look captured.> He commented causing the Eevee to settle down a little. <Yah, huh, you don’t have any chains or a cage!> The Eevee added. They both seemed a bit confused.

The Togetic nodded to the humans reply though in truth he hadn’t really listen what Raven had said at all. <Come play with the flowers!> He chirped out happily, <It’s better than sitting.> He seemed to have a bit short of an attention span but at least he seemed happy. The Natu was still standing in the same spot as before, her tiny eyes staring intensely at something but it was hard to tell what exactly.

[Willow]

Ilira looked confused for a moment, that is until the Eevee said that he didn't see any chains. At this the Zorua couldn't help it, she burst out laughing. Once she had caught her breath she said, "oh no, being captured doesn't work like that. You are in these little balls called pokeballs, its actually kinda nice. You see whatever you want the ball to look like inside it turns in to, and you don't even feel the passage of time. Besides, my trainer, Raven, doesn't even keep us in our pokeballs that often. She lets us out as often as possible, I'm almost always out. Most of the time when Cyar and Gia are in their pokeballs its because they are fighting with each other or we are going through a area unsuited for one of them. Anyway, being captured has its perks. You get free food, shelter, and healing unless you are in a truly horrible situation, however that happens when captured far less then it does in the wild."

Raven smiled and let out a tiny laugh before saying, "okay, sure!" She liked this Pokemon, it just seemed so innocent and young.

[Lady Leaf]

[Eevee - M] ~ [Leafeon - M] ~ [Togetic - M] ~ [Natu - F]

The little Eevee blinked at this explanation before looking up at the Leafeon, <Have we ever had horrible situation?> He asked, not really knowing what one could be. The Leafeon was about to shake his head no when the Eevee suddenly gasped, <Ohhh! You mean like when I licked that yucky bug! It tasted sooooo bad and I ended up having to wash my mouth out for hours!> This caused the Leafeon to chuckle slightly.

The Togetic let out a rather excited giggle when the human agreed to play with him. He then lead the way over to the rather large flowers and showed her how to bounce off them. Of course the Togetic didn’t really realize that the human might be a bit too heavy for the flowers.

[Willow]

Ilira chuckled at the Eevee, poor thing was being hilarious without knowing it. Yet part of her felt sorry for it, the poor thing was going to be in a real situation for the first time one day and have no experienced. Like when I was in the fights... Shaking off the bad memory the Zorua said, "no, much worse. A horrible situation is like when you are so hungry that you would eat one hundred of those yucky bugs and like it. That is something that normally only happens in the wild and will hopefully never happen to you, however it does sometimes when winter comes. With trainers a horrible situation is, well..... Its like the trainer was just fighting in a Pokemon battle and lost, however human battle are different then ours. You see when a Pokemon really looses a battle and looses all its health they faint, with humans most of the time when they faint they..... They don't wake up. That is the worst situation a captured Pokemon can be in, when their human doesn't wake up. It is our job to protect them because we do wake up when we faint. While we are used in battles or fun or sport we are always healed and wake up feeling better then ever, however there are times when we have to protect the human from another human, a mean human. If we loose in this situation while we might just faint we will wake up, however you will often find that because you lost the human fainted and will not wake up. In a way they need us, they protect us from the horrible situations that we might find in the wild and we protect us them fainting." Ilira felt embarrassed almost the moment she finished giving her speech and commented while being grateful that her fur hid her blush, "sorry, I was babbling."

Raven fallowed the Togetic to the flowers and commented, "wow, these flowers are great! However, I think humans are to big to jump on flowers."

[Lady Leaf]

[Eevee - M] ~ [Leafeon - M] ~ [Togetic - M] ~ [Natu - F]

<Papa, what is winter?> The tiny Eevee whispered to the Leafeon when it was mentioned by the Zorua. <It’s very cold.> He replied in an equally hushed tone adding, <That’s why we live here.> The Eevee nodded then looked back at Ilira as she continued. By the end the Eevee was rather energetic and full of it’s self. <Arrrrr, I could protect a human!> He cried out, hoping out from under the Leafeon’s belly, <No bad thing would hurt my human!> The Leafeon just chuckled again.

The Togetic stopped hoping again when the human explained that she was too big for flower jumping. He had to think about that for a moment before finally nodding and smiling happily. With that, he suddenly flew away, disappearing behind some large brush. It took a few moments but soon enough it came rushing back, a small blue flower in it’s hand. <For you.> He said happily, reaching out to set it in her hair.

[Willow]

Ilira smiled at the Eevee and said in a playful voice, "I don't know, you have to be pretty strong to protect a human...." The Zorua ran over to a nearby tree and jumped on one of the lower-hanging branches before calling, "you might be strong enough to protect a human if you catch me, but that will never happen, I'm just to fast!" There was a playful gleam in her eyes, it had been a while since she played with another Pokemon.

Raven honestly felt touched when the Togetic put the flower in her hair, it had been ages since someone besides one of her own Pokemon did a kind gesture like that to her. With a sincere smile she said, "thank you, its very pretty. Say, do you have a name?"

[Lady Leaf]

[Eevee - M] ~ [Leafeon - M] ~ [Togetic - M] ~ [Natu - F]

The little Eevee let out a rather large sigh when Ilira claimed he wouldn’t be able to catch her. <I can! I can!> he cried out, racing towards the tree. It took him a bit but managed to climb up onto the branch the Zorua had jumped up onto and was now trying to make his way over to her. The Leafeon simply watched letting out a soft, <Be careful.>

“Tooogetic” the Togetic claimed his name was, well, Togetic. He had never been given a nickname before as he had grown up in the glad all his life. <What is your name?> He then asked in return, a huge smile still on his face.

[Willow]

Ilira gave a gasp of mock shock when the Eevee reached her and exclaimed, "oh wow, you caught me! I guess you could protect a human, after all!" She was actually a little impressed that the Eevee had managed to climb on to the branch, she had planned to pretend to be scared by something and jump down. Wow, kid must be strong for his age!

Raven gave a quick nod before replying, "nice to meet you, Togetic! I'm Raven, a Pokemon trainer."

[Lady Leaf]

[Eevee - M] ~ [Leafeon - M] ~ [Togetic - M] ~ [Natu - F]

<Yay! See I’m big and strong!> The tiny Eevee claimed as it burst into a fit of giggles. It’s tiny feet were hoping up and down when suddenly his back foot slipped a bit. Next thing he knew he was falling towards the ground. The Leafeon quickly blotted forwards, catching the little Eevee just in time. <Told you to be careful> He scolded softly.

<Raven, a Pokemon trainer.> The Togetic replied before tilting his head, that big smile still on it’s face, <That’s a really long name. I could call you Raven, or A or Pokemon or even trainer. But all of it is quite a mouth full.>

[Willow]

Ilira let out a horrified gasp as the Eevee fell off the branch, he could get hurt even if it was only a small fall. When the Leafeon caught to Eevee Ilira jumped off the branch and exclaimed, "oh Arceus, I'm so sorry! Is he hurt?" The black-furred Pokemon honestly felt like an idiot, getting a Eevee that young to climb a tree like that was practically asking for disaster.

Raven couldn't help it, she burst out laughing at the Togetic's words. Once she caught her breath she corrected, "Actually, my names Raven. You see, I am a Pokemon trainer, its what I do. That means that I catch Pokemon and we travel the world and get stronger together."

[Lady Leaf]

[Eevee - M] ~ [Leafeon - M] ~ [Togetic - M] ~ [Natu - F]

The little Eevee shock his head and bounced back up onto his feet happily. <That was a close one> He exclaimed. The Leafeon just smiled at Ilira, <He is fine. All children fall and get up again> It was a part of learning after all. <But you do have his spirits up rather high.> In the Leafeon’s mind that was a good thing. The little guy didn’t have too many friends.

<Ohh you’re a Raven.> The Togetic replied before smiling again, <Ah you grow strong together like the flowers on the trees. They grow strong together too.> Now he was understanding.
