This story was inspired by the Linkin Park song New Divide. I hope you like it.
Prologue:
Once, on the planet Reach, before any of the Covenant were ever discovered, the citizens found a large asteroid buried in the ground. They uncovered it, then found a supersoldier inside. He was a SPARTAN. He called himself Jake-316, and wondered where he was. When the citizens told him he was on planet Reach, he nodded. He stood up, then the citizen's offered him food. He took of his helmet, and he had short Brown hair, skin that was extremely white(probably from being in his armor a lot), and his eyes were Green, but if you looked closely enough you could actually see a war going on in his eyes. He must've seen a lot of it. He quickly ate the food and drank the water the citizens had given him, then put his helmet back on without a word of thanks. He hadn't been seen since. Until 50 years later.........
Chapter 1:
Jenna was having the time of her life. The year was 2552 and she had nothing to be worried about. She was out walking through a comms center, taking a tour of it. She then heard a zapping sound, and turned to see 3 Zealot class Elites with Energy Swords impale the officials leading the tour. People screamed, and they ran, but they were still impaled or sliced. Jenna lloked in horror as one of the Zealots then swung at her. She looked away and braced herself for great pain and death. It never came. When she opened her eyes, she saw one of the Zealots impaled with his own sword, and one with a broken neck. She then heard a gunshot, and flinched. What she was completely unexpected. She saw an Elite fall to the floor and the SPARTAN with a pistol in his hand. He had saved her life. But not the others. She looked around then began to cry, and the SPARTAN said "Oh, boohoo. Shit happens." Then left. Jenna cried even harder, and felt a bit of hatred for the SPARTAN. He was a dick, and she wished that he had never saved her life. She eventually heard sirens, then police and medics poured in the comms center. They saw the dead people, then the Zealots, then Jenna. They were very surprized, but knew not to ask the girl what happened. They took her to a place where she could rest, then called the UNSC officials. "Hello, this is the local authorities at Dextron city, Reach. We have bad news, very bad news. The Covenant, they're here."
Chapter 2:
The UNSC sent in SPARTAN's, and Marines, and ODST's, and everything that they had. Jenna was evacuated to a nearby spacestation. She had been there for several months now, and the war was still going on. The UNSC officials were also on the spacestation, and she heard one of them talking to a team of SPARTAN's via webcam. She also heard Noble team. She wondered who they were, but kept walking, as she didn't want anything to happen to anyone. She decided to go to the lounge, and told her friends what happened with the SPARTAN. "Yeah, that happened to all of us!" They replied. "Yeah, he's a dick." Said another. Jenna then wondered how he had ever even made it to being a SPARTAN. She hated him. Then Jenna felt a sharp pain in her back, and blacked out.

Jenna woke up, and she was in an escape pod. She saw her friend, and she whispered, "shhhh... sorry about kidnapping you, it's just I wanted someone to come with me to Reach." Jenna gulped, then felt a hard impact. They had landed.
The Final Chapter:
Jenna woke up, and heard gunfire all around her. They had landed in a warzone. They climbed out of the escape pod, then ran for a bush. Jenna glared at her friend, and she shrugged, then fell over. Jenna saw a line of 20-30 purple crystalline projectiles embedded in her back, then they exploded. Jenna went flying across the clearing from the explosion, then was caught by something big and hard. She turned and saw the Spartan holding her, and then he shot a Grunt in the face with his pistol. He then put Jenna down, then she got an idea for the douchebag SPARTAN. She told him to follow her, then ran towards a clearing. She heard no gunfire though, so she was afraid that they had lost the war. She told the SPARTAN to keep going forwards towards the clearing. He did, then Covenant came from everywhere.(This is where you listen to New Divide) Soon all you could hear was gunfire, and she screamed that he'd get what he deserved. She ran away, and left the SPARTAN to fend for himself. He used his Pistol, but when it ran out of ammo a Zealot tried to stab him. He sidestepped, caught the energy sword between his arm and his side, then spun around and slit the Zealot's throat. He then grabbed the Energy Sword and threw it at a Hunter, knocking it down and killing it. He then used his Assault Rifle, but it ran out of ammo when there were 3 zealots left. One stabbed at him, but he caught it and broke his neck. The second one stabbed at him two, but he managed to block it, but both of the Zealots knocked him down. One stabbed at him, and he blocked it with his enegy sword, but the other impaled, him, and sadly, Reach fell, the SPARTAN was killed, and many, many lives were lost......
Sorry this was kinda short and sucky, but it was kinda rushed. Leave comments below please.
