Evening had set, and it was finally time to set the big plan into action. Having scouted Kero and Alvaro--well, more like stalked with the help from a certain Taillow--for a while, Kel had managed to pinpoint their position.
Kel was strategically positioned in a hole in the forest, disguised with a woven covering of grass and leaves, so it looked natural, and just big enough for one person to fit in and peek out. Near him, Leah, his Floatzel, was positioned. On the other side, Blade was standing watch but the Scizor was just out of sight. Gideon, his Shiny Lairon, and Samson the Tauros were farther north, while Venom, his newly acquired Toxicroak, brought up the rear.
High above, a melanistic Taillow, Lil' Bit, flew overhead as the sun started to set. In her talons was a crumpled note, as her eyes scanned the area for her target.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] “I can’t eat any more” Kero complained as he flopped his body back into the grass. In front of him was an almost empty bowl of fruits he had managed to pick, clean and cut in the forest. He had completely pigged out on them, eating much faster than he should have. The end result was a tummy ache which was why had fallen over. “You’re certain none of those were poisonous, right?” His question was directed to Alvaro, the man he was traveling with and claimed he loved.
He wasn’t really sure how long they had been traveling for now. Perhaps a few months? It was odd having lost track of time. Before he started traveling everything was always planned. He ate at certain times, he had meetings at certain times, worked at certain times. Heck, even his free time was planned. This new way of life was so… relaxing and care free. He almost didn’t want to go back to the old ways. Though every now and then he did find himself drawn back into it. He just couldn’t seem to ignore certain issues that purged Era. He felt it was his duty to help the people he was learning about on the travels. But hey, this wasn’t the time to think of that. Right now his tummy hurt!
A rather loud, snort, of sorts came from Charizard after Kero asked his question. He had been eating away at the fruits until the word ‘poisonous’ was spoken. Instantly his head swung over to Alvaro and the dragon glared at him. It never failed. If something went wrong or there something that could be blamed or accused on someone, Charizard turned his head to Alvaro. It was his fault even if it wasn’t his fault!

He was far from fazed by it if he had ever been before, and instead of leering or anything, his eye simply looked sideways and stared at Kero. "They shouldn't be. I've been eating them for a while, and I'm not dead yet so...?" he chuckled a bit to himself and shook his head slowly. "You just ate too fast and made yourself sick." Alvaro's voice had a teasing manner, though it was rather truthful when it came down to it. Humans weren't meant to consume things in mass quantities and so quickly. Snorlax and Munchlax did that enough, really. "Ya going to be ok?" he asked looking sideways at Kero. [/scrolly] |

Finally, the black Taillow saw her target; she'd gone through extensive recognition training, courtesy of Kel, and now knew Kero when she saw him. Without stopping, she flew straight over, her talons releasing the note, which was wrapped around a rock. The weighted message plummeted to the ground below, and would land with a thud, whether it hit ground, human, or Pokemon. The note itself was simple, and scrawled in fairly-legible handwriting: Count Blackthorne, If you know what is best for you, you'll withdraw the wanted posters. This is the first and only message you will receive before we take action. We will not be held responsible for anything that happens as a result.
You have been warned. After dropping the message, the litle black bird did a U-turn--not the attack, the actual maneuver--and started making her way back to Kels' vicinity.

Kero’s listened to Alvaro’s words and knew he was right. But he couldn’t help it. The fruits had been so good! “Yah, I’m ok,” He claimed as he sat himself back up and grinned at Alvaro. His hand was on his tummy but he knew it would settle down eventually. Charizard snorted at this before getting ready to eat something else when the stone suddenly fell from the sky. The rock had managed to drop onto one of the empty plates, bouncing a little and tumbling onto the blanket where it came to a halt. For a moment Charizard just froze and looked at it, unsure of what to think at first. Kero on the other hand ended up looking up to see where the rock had come from. All he could spot was a black bird flying by. Perhaps it had dropped it. “Is that, a note?” Kero asked, looking back down at the rock before reaching out to pick it up. He fell silent as he pulled the note off the rock and began to read it. With a frown quickly filling his features, Kero reached out so Alvaro could take the note.

He hadn't looked up as Kero had but was instead looking over the bowl carefully making sure it hadn't cracked or anything. When Kero had taken up the paper and read it, Alvaro raised his eyebrow before finally taking it to read it for himself. Upon actually reading it, the green haired man started to laugh a little before setting the paper down and shaking his head slowly. "Someone has a stupid sense of humor," he mumbled a tad darker than his laugh as his eyes shifted away and started to look around slowly. [/scrolly] |

The Taillow paused, seeing the Charizard; that was...intimidating.But then she remembered she had a job to do, and continued her flight to Kel, hoping she wasn't followed.
Meanwhile, Kel and the rest of his team waited, hidden in their assigned positions. Lil' Bit should return any minute, then they could go through with their ambush on the bratty noble.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] “Heh, yah… ” Kero replied back to Alvaro, though the worried expression on his face showed he didn’t think this to be just a joke. He knew that one day he would end up getting threatened by someone for the poster. He had even warned Alvaro about this. Yet for some reason actually seeing it on paper… well it was a lot more nerve wrecking than he had anticipated. There was no turning back now, though. He had made his choice and it was time he stood up for himself. No, not just himself. For Alvaro, his family name and the people of Era. He needed to be brave.
“A bird dropped it,” Kero announced looking back up at the sky again before turning his head to the direction he knew the bird had flown in. “Maybe it can help us find the person who wrote this.” If they could take down the person who made the note then perhaps the threat would never come to pass. Of course, even as Kero got to his feet the thought of it being perhaps, more than one person, never crossed his mind. He simply began to head in the direction he knew the bird had gone, Charizard close behind him.

Taking out a pokeball, the green haired man released a rather somber looking Shuppet. Stella stared calmly and floated by Alvaro without a word as they walked. She was simply there to be another set of eyes rather than anything else. [/scrolly] |

Crap...Lil' Bit looked back, seeing she was followed. Speeding up, she continued on towards Kel's location. However, it wasn't long before the little bird flew over the Tauros and the Shiny Lairon, and she gave a chirp.
The two Pokemon emerged from their hiding places, looking as if they were ready to fight.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] “Do you think the person who sent the note is even-” Kero had began to ask Alvaro as they walked but was cut off by the site of two pokemon. A Lairon and a Tauros. “They… aren’t from around here, are they?” Was the very firs thing out of Kero’s mouth as his pale eyes shifted between the two pokemon. He wasn’t a hundred percent sure on this, but he had a bad feeling about the two pokemon. Enough that he ended up backing up a little, stopping to stand beside Alvaro.
Charizard noticed the nervousness in Kero, and instead of stepping back, he moved in front of the two men. His head lowered and let out a small growl as if to tell the two to stay away. He didn’t much like Alvaro, but he wasn’t about to let anyone hurt him or Kero.

He was pretty sure they weren't supposed to be there to say the least of it. Fingering a pokeball, Alvaro released his Poochyquill, Naomi just in case. The Shiny Lairon took the Charizard up on his challenge, using a Stone Edge. Tauros charged at the Poochyquil with a Double Edge.
Meanwhile, Lil' Bit flapped as hard as she could to get to her Trainer's location. Three loud chirps from the little black bird signaled that she was being followed.
Kel, peeking out from under the cover on his hole, swore to himself at the sight. He'd realized the big hole in their plan. There wasn't exactly much of a way to slip out of here without being spotted. Oh, the disadvantages of planning while drunk.
The Bandit ducked into his hole, trying to think of his next move.
