Nami cheering him on was a great help as well. "Alright! Double Team, then Sludge Bomb!" Ty cried, more boldly. However his boldness faded when Gastly used Double team THEN tried to lick him. So...many....ghosts.... "S-sludgebomb...the Sw-Swablu..." Ty closed his eyes, picturing a non-ghost type for the moment instead. Maybe this would work. "Now, Sludge Bomb!" Well that was no fun. The Gastly launched the attack, then licked Ty, and Ty literally fell over, cringing. Ohdear... [/scrolly]

Gastly's Double Team made several shadow clones, but the Swablu seemed to have no problem dealing with them at the moment, as the feathers swarmed the right one dead on. Gastly's goofing off slowed him a bit, and the two blue Pokemon attacked about the same time, doing... fairly low damage considering their respective bonuses. This was looking to be a pretty long battle... until Blue began to glow a moment after her attack. Once the light faded, she looked... significantly stronger. Pumped up, even.

Whatever had happened had pumped the little bird up. It was enough to make Kero feel a bit more confident about the battle and so he called out his next plan of action. "Ok Blue! Use Outrage!" he had never had her use the attack before but he was hoping she would be able to handle it's effects. He would have to wait and see. [/scrolly] [bg=brown]

Messing with Ty was just too amusing. Ty meanwhile sighed, shaking as Gastly licked him again. Oh please be over soon... [/scrolly]

Blue hesitated for just a fraction of a second as she thought on how the move was performed, but while it wasn't pretty, it went off without a hitch. On the bright side, it did rather good damage; on the not so bright side, she was now locked into it. Gastly, while capable of having the first move, goofed off so long as to only attack after Blue, and by some incredible luck on either her or Ty's part, the Toxic missed. Pain Split was more effective, but even this didn't do too much. The battle was pretty even to start, though of course now it was even more even.

So instead he stood and watched as the battle continued, waiting to see what Ty would have his Gastly do. The battle, he had to admit, was pretty fun. [/scrolly] [bg=brown]

"Gastly! Use Thunderbolt!" Gastly smiled, unleashing the attack, then turned around and Licked the unsuspecting Ty right on the cheek, though he probably should have seen that coming. Ty paled again, falling over. Slowly, he stood to his feet, shuddering. The sooner this part of the battle was over, the better. [/scrolly]

Gastly's Thunderbolt hit first seeing as Gastly had decided to release the attack before goofing off again and did quite a bit of damage to Blue though her upped special defense took it rather well. Meanwhile, Blue's Outrage hit a moment later.

However, being the kind of guy he was, he was prparid for the change of it ending soon.
