Aisla had found out the pokemon liked round objects and was playing with her. She liked happy pokemon and this one was rather cute. Maybe she should catch one after this. Wondering which pokemon her opponent would choose she looked over at the otherside of the Arena. Were all her opponent's pokemon this cute? She hoped that battle would be worth it. She kinda wanted to be able to evolve her pokemon. Rolling the ball a little ways she let the Stunky chase after it only to bat it back. Aisla grinned and rolled tha ball again as she waited for her opponent to chose a pokemon. [/scrolly]

The reason for this was Kitty had briefly gotten lost, then been too afraid to try finding her way back. There were really only so many places one could do this between the Pokemon assignment and the battle areas, and Ryan had found her easily enough, but it had still set their battle back a good twenty minutes. He'd half a mind to withdraw her from competition after all, not really having wanted to let her in the first place, but she'd insisted. She didn't think she'd win, but if she did do good she'd get a new Pokemon! And even if she didn't, she'd get at least one Token to help her buy a new Pokemon. And getting to play with other people's would be fun, right? Thus, at long last, the seven-year-old took her place across from Aisla, smiling brightly when she saw her Stunky playing with the girl. "Missy!!<3" she called. "Hi Missy!" Oh but hey! They should start the battle. ... Mmm... She really didn't want to hurt Missy actually.. but.. It was all in fun, right? Right. They could take it easy. Mmmm, she should use one of the girl's Pokemon too! She only had a chance to get to see them for a second when she got them, but she knew which one she wanted. The child tossed a PokeBall down gently at her feet, and a beautiful gray Ninetales appeared, blinking a bit at the sight of Kitty. "EEP<3 You're so PRETTY!" Despite her urge to glomp the fox, however, she forced herself to remember the battle and pointed toward Aisla and Missy. "Er, Ninetales, use--" ... What attacks did Ninetales know? ... Uh.. Well it was a Fire-type. "Use Flamethrower!" Fire-types were supposed to know that right? [/scrolly]

Aw man Ain was gonna love that child. Allis probably would have gone easy on her too. When she spotted the girl get all excited over seeing her pokemon Aisla ended up laughing. "Hello I'm Aisla and I shall be you opponent today." She figured she should introduce herself. When the girl sent out Ain she could already tell the what the Young Ninetales was thinking about. She could see the excitment on her face. Oy. Ain looked at her trainer for the day and couldn't help thinking she looked soooooo cute. Looking to Aisla she looked all happy. She was ready to comply to the young girls orders. Aisla smacked her forehead. "Alright Missy use Smog then Leer." Upon hearing the girl finally call out an order to Ain she chuckled. "Her names Ain by the way." That would let the little girl get a little more familliar with her pokemon for the day. [/scrolly]

[Jay]

With a burst of speed, Ain attacked first releasing the fiery move scoring a critical hit on the poor skunk pokemon. Missy was hit by the move but managed to stand it then launched of a Smog followed by a Leer. Though it didn't do too much damage on its own, the Smog did poison Ain. In another moment, the leer hit as well.

Ain? Oh right, the nice lady who gave her Aisla's Pokemon had said that, right? Well, Ain could-- D8!! ACK! Kitty squeaked and flailed a bit when the yucky smoke left the pretty puppy coughing and sickly-looking. That was poison right? Dx NYAH why was there never any antidote? Or rather why would the tournament people not let her help the poor puppy? Well ah... She guessed they just had to try to make the battle quicker, right? Uh... What could make... Oooh~ .3. Kitty knew! Brother used those moves a lot! Surely she'd be able to. "Ain, use Sunny Day and Fi'ry Dans!" Because obviously such a pretty Pokemon would be able to dance, right? Ain, however, looked back at Kitty in utter confusion wondering how on earth she was expected to use Volcarona's signature move and a little sad to disappoint, but then decided she may as well perform the Sunny Day and... eh.. She began to prance around anyway before leashing some Embers from her tails. That was a fiery dance of sorts, right? [/scrolly]

Hearing the girl's orders she blinked. uh..... "Rain dance then Night slash." Missy nodded her head and quickly performed the rain dance before dashing at Ain with her Night slash. Aisla watched the little girl closer wondering if she had an adult with her. She looked a bit young to be here. And where was she from? [/scrolly]

The sun shined bright from Ain's Sunny Day, and as the Ember followed, it hit the Missy. However, the Rain Dance that was called after that darkened the skies. The Night Slash that followed that earned a critical hit on Ain, and following that, the poison took its toll on the Ninetales.

"Ain!" The girl literally teared up in fear for the poor pretty puppy. But then-- "Missy?" She didn't like how hurt she was getting either! They... They'd take them straight to the Pokemon Center though.. right? Yeah... That... that was okay. Just keep remembering that. So.. then.. Well, that definitely wasn't Fiery Dance.. So then Ninetales didn't know it? Uhh... Well then.. "Sunny Day and... Fire Spin!" Amy knew that move and it was really cool! ..Ryan also said it was really good for something or other but she couldn't actually remember what at the moment. Maybe Nineta- Ain- would know it too? "Its alright Missy. Another Night Slash and Rain dance." If Aisla wasn't concentrating on the battle she would have laughed over the war of weather. It would have been funnier to see the crowds reaction. Missy who was shaking quickly moved to preform the moves. The sooner she finished the battle the sooner she could go back to Kitty right? [Jay]

The speedier Ninetales used the Sunny Day followed by the Fire Spin. The fiery attack did a bit of damage and entrapped the Stunky as a result. Meanwhile Missy formed another Night Slash, and after this, the rain fell once more. After that, Ain cringed from the poison's effects. Somewhere in the world, possibly Hoenn, someone at a weather station was finding himself deeply on edge for reasons he would never fully understand.

Yeah she'd totally known that, it just slipped her mind. << So then uh.. "Now Ain... Fl--ah.." Rain would make it weaker.. right? But.. she wasn't supposed to keep using lots of moves all the time right? ..That's what the referee people had said. Not more than... how many? Uh.. Well she'd be safe. "Flamethrower," she ordered despite the rain. [/scrolly]

The words left her lips even as the girl called out the fire attack. It would be easy if Ain's ability wasn't flash fire. Any fire moves she used on her pokemon would make her stronger. Tilting her head she tried to think the next attacks through in her head. [/scrolly]

The Protect managed to stay and prevented the Flamethrower. Both pokemon then seemed to be licked by their respective strains, Missy's being the flames still spinning around her while Ain's being the poison.

Aisla called out her next attack even as the little girl did. "Missy nightslash." then the name hit her. Ainy....pffft. Aisla held back her laugh with all her might. Of course that did no good considering she ended up chuckling. Ain didn't know why Aisla was laughing but she liked the little girls nickname for her. It was cute.

[Jay]

The Flamethrower hit the Stunky causing her to cry out. After that, the Stunky retaliated with a Night Slash. The fires then hurt the Stunky a bit while the poison hurt Ain.
