Seles vs Ilya

Seles walked firm and strong into the arena. She'd only decided last minute to enter the competition seeing as she had been in the area at the time and found that if anything, it was good training for her pokemon. Oddly enough, she had been left with the same pokemon that she had entered in the roulette. Luck may or may not have been on her side on that one. Looking across the field, the blonde caught sight of her challenger, a young white haired girl.

Ilya was all but jumping on her heels with excitement. It was her time to battle and prove she was the best! Yep yep yep! >:3. Upon seeing the woman she was battling, Ilya blinked a moment wondering why she was dressed the way she was.... Eh, no matter~ "Hehehe ready~? Cause I am!" Ilya called already pulling out a pokeball.

Seles tensed a little knowing that Ilya had all her own pokemon too, and as the girl pulled out a pokeball, Seles pulled out her own. With a flash of light, two pokemon appeared: one an Absol and the other a Pawniard. "Lady Rem use Slash!" Seles called out causing her Pawniward to rush forwards with the move.

"Abby use uh.... Sword Dance!" Ilya called causing the Absol to mentally face/palm but preform the requested move despite how the attack on her may have done.

[Admiral Striker General]

The Slash landed with deadly accuracy, scoring a nasty critical hit. Fortunately for Ilya and Abby, it was only from a Pawniard and not a Bisharp or the like. Meanwhile Abby's power soared from her status move; this may turn into an interesting fight indeed, regardless the Pawniard's resistance.

Abby cringed a good deal before shaking her head and looking rather determined. "Abby use uh....Aerial Ace!" Ilya called. The Absol blinked and hesitated ever so slightly before charging with the air attack move. Rem tensed and waited for Seles's orders. "Rem use X-Scissor!" Seles called out, and with that, the small Pawniard charged forwards.

The Aerial Ace hit as always, but even with the Absol's incredible strength the Pawniard's resistance made it largely ineffective. As she pulled away, the Pawniard managed to land a pretty strong hit, but the Absol was far from down just yet.

Seles frowned greatly. "Rem use Sword Dance twice!" the blond called out. The Pawniard looked confused for a moment but then started the dance one right after the other. Ilya just stopped and stared for a moment as a look of confusion hit her face. Hu? Now what was that supposed to do? Er... Oh ya >>; Just like what it did with Abby of course. WAIT NO! D8; That wasn't good! "Abby use Megahorn!" Ilya called. The Absol formed the attack and the charged quickly retaliating.

And what a difference that extra power and lack of resistance made! Rem's attack was now at godly levels, but whether or not she'd have a chance to make good use of it remained to be seen.

"Now Rem use X-Scissor!" Seles called out causing Ilya to frown before the child's eyes narrowed. "Abby! You use X-Scissor too!" Ilya called out. This match was just getting harsh >>;.

The Absol's move landed with force, but not enough to take the Pawniard down. Moments later, the move was mirrored back at her, absol-utely crushing the beast. It was neck and neck now, and even with another move like that the slightest variation in where or how the Absol hit could make or break her ability to triumph before the Pawniard managed pure overkill.

Rem cringed feeling all but exhausted from the attack and the damage she had sustained. Seles's eyes narrowed knowing that this wasn't going to be good. Thankfully she wasn't on her third pokemon already. She just had to keep moving forwards and hope for the best now. "X-Scissor again!" was all Seles called out with.

Ilya's eyes widened as Abby was hurt rather badly by the move of the Pawniard. >_< She wasn't going to lose! No way! "You too, Abby! Give it your best X-Scissor!" the white haired girl ordered back. She wouldn't lose! She couldn't! she had to prove she was good at something!

Rem held on by the non-existent skin of her teeth before managing to struggle to her feet and throw her powerful blow. She had managed to stay in fighting condition, though only just barely. The same could not be said for Abby, however, and the Absol was knocked up and over, landing flat on her back with limbs held helplessly. She almost could have looked like she wanted pets, if not for the incredibly dazed and out-of-reality look on her face.

The look of sheer confusion that hit Ilya's face was only there fore a moment before she whimpered and returned Abby. Seles looked at Rem breathing inwards quietly before smiling. "Good job Rem!" she smiled at the rather exhausted looking Pawniard. However, in another moment, Ilya had fished out another pokeball and released an Arcanine. "Fire Fang!" was all Ilya called out, and with that, Fang had taken off. Seles's eyes grew, and though she was sure Rem wouldn't be able to take another hit, she ordered out an attack. "Guillotine!" Seles called.

Indeed, the Arcanine was just too fast, and at the first lick of flame off those fangs, even prior to the true bite, Rem was down and out.

Seles had to fight off a grimace as she returned her fainted Pawniard. Releasing her Horsea, Seles looked rather sharply at Ilya. " Lady Flanoura use Attract followed by Smoke Screen!" Seles called, and with that, the small sea horse formed the attack and shot it at the Arcanine. "Run up and use Thunder Fang!" Ilya called back, and suddenly the fire dog was off and moving again. It seemed the small little girl wasn't going to give any quarter.

Fang was far faster than the feeble foe, flaying Flanoura with ferocious fangs. The Horsea's defense was surprisingly remarkable for her size and evolutionary level, however, and the damage actually wasn't that great. Fang fell fully for the flirt, then, as smoke obscured his love like a sensual mist.

Ilya blinked rather confused for a moment and was actually hesitating now that there was a smoke in the area. However, after a second more, she grew confident again. "Use Thunder Fang again!" she called. "Rain Dance and the Muddy Water!" Seles called out.

Fang managed to put aside his feelings for his new-found love to consider those of his trainer and rushed forward, but just ended up biting empty air as the Horsea managed to hop away through the fog. Afterward it began to rain, and a murky flood washed over the Arcanine in the worst possible way, scoring a devastating critical hit.

The look of shock and distaste that was evident on Ilya's face seemed to come and go quickly. "Thunder Fang again!" she called not willing to give up her attacking just yet. Meanwhile, Seles found herself smiling just a bit but then wondering why her Horsea's speed hadn't seemed to change even with the new rain and her Swift Swim ability. Hm.... No matter for now. "Muddy Water again," was all she called back.

...Her speed had taken a moment to kick in because SHUT UP but she was still slower than Fang anyway if only slightly, as was apparent when his fangs began to spark before she could attack. However, said sparks ended up only shooting off to either side to make little hearts in the air before he whimpered, pining for her beauty. ...How would they even be together, anyway? Given size and species-... AGH THAT DIDN'T MATTER! ;3; Love would find a way..

Flanoura had other plans, however, splashing the big beastie with a murky wave. It wasn't as bad as before, but did further lower his accuracy, and still did some harsh damage.

Ilya squeaked when the water hit her large fire dog. What the.. D: This wasn't fair! Fang looked so much more hurt than that annoying little Horsea and he was supposed to be stronger! Right? YES SHE WAS RIGHT OF COURSE. "Fang use Thunder Fang! Twice!" Ilya called quickly in a state of slight panic now. No she could do this! She had stronger pokemon so she could do this! ><!!!

Meanwhile, Seles sucked in some air. Alright, she could finish it then. Suddenly looking towards her Horsea, Seles nodded. "Agility then Muddy Water!" she called.
