[Snow Soul]

There was supposed to be a slight chance of rain today but so far it was only cloudy. Considering it was summer it probably wouldn't rain. Of course even the chance of rain didn't seem to deter a blonde girl in jeans and green shirt who happen to be sitting on a branch. In her hands was an egg. The look on her face seemed to be a bit confused.

Her pale blue eyes were staring through the egg rather then at it. Mekura just couldn't believe she had won the egg. In fact she hadn't even realized Risa had entered her in the raffle. She was very surprised when Risa had told her it was time to claim prizes. Rubbing her head she held the egg closer. She was totally at a loss. Considering it was a mystery hybrid egg as the lady had told her.

She would have to have a talk with Risa about randomly entering her in things. Sighing she thought about the pokemon she had brought with her. Nana, her wurmple, Knight, her young shinx, Rio, the young Riolu, and Risa, her shiny ralts. Non of which were very motherly. Huh she had a spot open. Well Hana had gone off to return the books so Mekura was supposed to stay here. If not some where in the eastern woods. Hopefully she wouldn't meet up with any people while staying in one spot.

Reaching over to her bag on the other branch she pulled out a scarf she had picked up. Wrapping it around the egg she held the egg in her lap. Well she had to keep it warm so buying a scarf hadn't been all bad. This was the first egg she had had in a long while. Twitching she went completely still. Had that been a twig snapping?

But she was. There where no creepy pokemon here, but it was pretty. Akora was having fun running around. chaseing leafs that where blowing in the wind. Otsuyu smiled at her little pokemon, she liked to watch her play. Otsuyu looked up at the sky and frowned a little, it seemed like it could start to rain. She really did not want to caught in a down pour.. Oh well the risk of being out side Just then Akora stopped but did not make a sound. Otsuyu blinked and walked over to her pokemon and stepped on a twig. Otsuyu looked at a girl who was sitting down holding a egg. " A pokemon egg.." She said softy. [/scrolly] [bg=776fa1]

Mekura blinked as she heard the noises getting closer to her. Going rock still she hoped not to be noticed. It she moved she would more then likely be noticed. Tempted to get Risa out she debated it in her head right as she felt someone staring at her.Hearing her voice Mekura blinked. A little girl? Relaxing slightly she let her pale blue gaze rise to 'look' at the girl. Of course she wasn't actually looking at her, but through her.

"Yes. I some how won it in a raffle." She didn't mind talking to kids cause they were easier to deal with then full grown adults. Deciding it would be rude if she didn't introduce herself she sat up a little straighter. "I'm Mekura." Hoping the girl wouldn't notice the strangeness of her gaze her mind wondered over why the girl was out her. Was she with someone? Or by herself?

But she did not say anything mean to her. Just explained how she got the egg, Otsuyu did notice Mekura gaze. But it did not bother her, in fact she kinda like it. Gave a somewhat creepy feeling and she liked creepy. Besides her eyes where pretty or so Otsuyu thought. When Mekura said her name Otsuyu nodded and took a step forward. Though she was unsure about this older girl, would she be like the others if she knew she liked ghost Pokemon? " My name is Otsuyu.." She said in a shy tone of voice. She then desided to take a few more steps closer to try to get a better look at the egg, this was the very first time she had ever seen a pokemon egg. Otsuyu stopped though before getting to close. In fact she took few steps back again, unsure if Mekura wanted her that close. But she was used to being told to go away. So if Mekura did tell her to go away it would not hurt her feelings much. Mekura heard her take a step back and blinked wondering if it was her eyes. She knew some peopled thought they were creepy though usually little kids didn't note the creepiness of them. Mekura nodded her head. "Nice to meet you Otsuyu." Mekura heard her take a few steps closer and her gaze go down. Picking up the egg she let the girl inspect it. "I'd tell you what pokemon its going to be cept....I don't know. Its a random hybrid egg as I have been told."

When she took more steps back Mekura wondered if she was doing some kind of dance. The unsure feeling she got from the girl had she chuckling softly. "You can sit down you know. If you sit you can hold the egg." She had a feeling the girl wanted to look at the egg more then anything so she would let her. She liked kids.

Otsuyu hesitated, very unsure if she should hold the egg.. What if she dropped it? That would not be good at all... But if she was careful... Then it could be ok. Otsuyu then slowly walked over to Mekura and sat down next to her. " Are....are you sure I can hold it?" Asked again voicing how unsure she was. Akora moved from the spot she was standing and followed her trainer and looked up at the other girl. She felt this girl was different some how, but could not tell how. "Zorua?" said the small dark type. She then walked over to Mekura and started to sniff her. [/scrolly] [bg=776fa1]

Mekura smiled and nodded her head. "Yeah. Its fine." Gently she set the egg in the girl's lap. Though she kept one hand on it until the girl had both her hands on the egg. Once she did Mekura let go only to be sniffed by the girl's pokemon. Blinking she looked in the direction of the Zorua. Gently she rubbed the Zorua's ears. "Hello. You would be?" She was hoping to learn the pokemons name then remembered Risa wasn't out. Blinking she reached into her pocket and pulled out Risa's ball. Hitting the button a very sleepy ralts appeared. She had been sleeping since this morning so it was about time she woke up. Stretching she looked about and saw the young girl. ("Hello I'm Risa.") She gently projected her thoughts at the girl encase she wasn't used to a psychic.

When Mekura handed her the egg Otsuyu gently put her hands on it. She looked at the egg in awe, a new life was growing in side it. It may not be a ghost, dark, or poison Pokemon but she thought when it hatched it would be still as cute. Otsuyu looked how oddly colored at was and tried to make a guess based off the colors. But it was no use she had no idea what type/types this Pokemon was going to be. Though she thought the egg was pretty. "The egg is pretty." Ostuyu said softly. Akora leaned into Mekura hand when she rubbed her ears. It felt soo good!! She like this girl already, when Mekura asked what her name was she looked over at Otsuyu. But Mekura called out a ralts, and a shiny one at that. And it spoke to her trainer. When Otsuyu heard a voice in her mind she made a "huh?" sound and looked around to see if someone else had showed up. She had not noticed the ralts for she was looking at the egg. But after a few minutes she noticed Risa. Otsuyu looked and blinked at the small psychic Pokemon. After a minute a smile came to the young girl's face. " Wow!! You can talk like Maggie and Ghen??" Otsuyu asked not realizing that the voice was in her mind. Akora snickered and wished she could tell Otsuyu that the ralts was talking with her mind. [/scrolly] [bg=776fa1]

Mekura smiled and nodded her head. "Yeah it is." Relaxing against the tree trunk she rubbed the Zorua's ears who had leaned into the rub. The pokemon had a rather sweet nature. Listening to the noises around her she shut her eyes since it didn't make a difference whether they were open or not. Listening to Otsuyu she grinned. Risa could be a bit astonishing at times.

Risa listened to her and smiled. ("Yes through your mind.") A giggle escaped her mouth as she moved to Mekura and crawled into her lap. Noticing the egg was in the girl's lap she tilted her head then realized Mekura must have let her hold it. Grinning she looked over at the Zorua. <I'm Risa!> This time she used Poke speak since it was easier then telepathy most of the time. Though even with poke speak any more it tended to leak through the link she had with Mekura and get translated.

Not wanting to drop the egg. The young girl then wanted to call out Maggie and Ghen, but was not sure if that would scare Mekura away.. Even though Otsuyu loved ghost Pokemon, most other humans feared them. She did not know why though. Ghost Pokemon are just a great as a living Pokemon. It made her so angry that people hated ghost Pokemon when they so great. Otsuyu then blinked when she realized she was getting angry. She then calmed her self down and gently held the egg closer to her. Akora looked up at Risa, smiled and wagged her tail. < I'm Akora, its nice to see Otsuyu talking with another human for once. If it had not been for the Pokemon egg she may have just walked away.."> Akora said to Risa and walked over to Ostuyu and sat next to her to get a better look at the Pokemon egg. Otsuyu petted Akora and turned her head to look at Mekura. She was the first human besides Damien that she felt relaxed around. Though once again the thoughts if she was sacred of ghost Pokemon filled up the young girl's mind. But she was to afraid to ask. So she just looked back at the egg not saying a word. Normally Ostuyu did not care of people hated her for her love of ghosts.. But this time she did because she was starting to like Mekura. [/scrolly] [bg=776fa1]

Risa tilted her head as she felt the girl's feelings. Why was she angry? Watching her she blinked and looked over to Akora. <Mekura probably would have let her too. Mekura likes children too so she may have talked to her on the other hand.> She grinned and looked over at Otsuyu as she caught a few stray thoughts. Oh! she was afraid Mekura wouldn't like ghost types? Well that was silly seeing as Mekura had one herself. ("Don't worry. Mekura has a Lampent. Their a ghost/fire type. Plus Mekura see's things in a different light.") Of course her last sentence could be taken in several different ways.

Mekura poked Risa's head in a warning. Risa had a tendency to say things that she shouldn't. At least she hadn't given a big hint at Mekura's blindness this time. Risa was always looking for humans that would be friends with her. It was annoying sometimes but she knew Risa only worried for her.

Not even she could tell what Pokemon may come out of it. When little Risa caught some one Otsuyu thoughts and even spoke to her, Otsuyu looked at Risa and blinked. Some people would have been upset if someone read their thoughts. But Otsuyu as thankful she did, her fears where put rest and a smile came to her face. As for "seeing things in a different light" being a kid Otsuyu did not really understand that. " You have a ghost type??? May I see it?? Do you want to meet my Pokemon? Though one is a bug, I like bugs to." Otsuyu said with huge smile looking at Mekura. And truth is she wanted to show off Kurose, her Dusknoir. Who loved the color pink but he is still an awesome ghost Pokemon. [/scrolly] [bg=776fa1]

Mekura looked over at the girl and tilted her head. "Yes I have a Lampent but I don't have him on me at the moment. I do have a wurmple though. Her names Nana. Yes I would love to meet your pokemon." She had no problem meeting new pokemon. It was nice and a good change of pace from her own pokemon. "Would you like to meet mine?" Since the girl liked bug pokemon she might like Nana. Though the little wurmple had a problems with her looks.

Risa grinned and swayed gently from side to side with excitement. She couldn't wait till Rio came out. He was fun to play with even if Luce thought they should learn more. Since she often hung out with Rio Luce had also begun to make her read more too! Usually rather hard books when they came across a normal library in the cities.

At least she was willing to see her ghost pokemon. Very slowly and carefully, Otsuyu picked up the pokemon egg from her lap and placed it back on Mekura's lap. With that done Otsuyu stood up and walked a few feet away and took out four pokeballs with a one of her rare happy smiles on her face. " Alright everyone!! Time to come out!!" Otsuyu called. With flashes of light , Maggie, Ghen ,Kurose, and Zhou came out. Maggie blinked and looked to see anthoer human. Maggie looked at Otsuyu and saw that she was smileing. Well, that made for a nice surprise. This human must not fear ghots. With a smile Maggie bowed her head to Mekura. " Hello, I am Maggie. It is very nice to meet you. Mean while Ghen went right over to Mekura. " Heellloooo.... I am Ghen." The ghost pokemon said and looked down at the little shiny ralts. "Dusknoir." Kurose said happily and waved smiling. Zhou the Spinarak blinked but said nothing and crawled up a near by tree. Otsuyu smiled at her pokemon loveingly then she looked over at Mekura. " I hope you like my pokemon, and yes. Mekura took the egg and thought she had felt it rock. Hm? Running her hands over it slowly she inspected the shell even as she listened to Otsuyu. Her hands stilled as she felt the girl release her pokemon. Raising her eyes she seemed to stare right through the pokemon. "Hello! Nice to meet you Ghen and Maggie." Hearing the Dusknoir she smiled and nodded her head. Blinking she could feel the stare of the Spinarak but it seemed he wasn't going to stay anything. Risa grinned and waved to Ghen.

Mekura reached over into her bag and pulled out her other three pokeballs. Releasing her pokemon she listened as Knight the your shinx took up a defensive stance before looking about. Knight looked at the others deciding they weren't a threat he sat by his queen. Nana the wurmple looked about then realized she was not as pretty as these others. A bit self consious she crawled into Mekura's lap and hid behind the egg. Rio looked about and tilted his head. This was gonna be fun! He was already bouncing with energy at all the new people around him. <Hello all! I'm Rio.>

Again Mekura thought she felt the egg rock hmm. Nana seemed to have felt it too for she crawled up on to Mekura's shoulder to look down at the egg.

Your Wurmple is so cute, I wish I had one. Otsuyu said with a smile , Otsuyu waved to the other pokemon and walked over when she saw Mekura looking at the egg. Otsuyu looked at it and blinked, was something wrong with it? Had she done something to it? " Is.. Is the egg ok? Did..I do something to it? Otsuyu asked in a worried tone. Maggie came a little closer due to the worry in Otsuyu's voice and looked at the egg. She then smiled ay looked at " No my dear, I don't think you did. I looks like it may hatch very soon." Maggie said with a smile. Otsuyu smiled widely and looked at the egg. " Really?? I can I watch Mekura? I never seen a pokemon hatch from an egg before." Otsuyu asked. Ghen moved back to give more room, Kurose smiled at new life ready to be born, "Dusknoir Dusk" he said as he watched. [/scrolly] [bg=776fa1]

Mekura smiled and reached up with light and gentle fingers to rub a couple of spots Nana liked. "Shes a bit shy around others and a tad self conscious. Though I bet she would go to you if you keep complimenting her. Shes very gentle." Again she felt a slight rock. Looking back down she ran her fingers over it again. Suddenly hearing Otsuyu's concerned voice she looked in the direction of the young girl even as her pokemon explained it. Chuckling she nodded her head at Otsuyu's question. "I was wondering when it was gonna hatch. Guess it decided it was time to meet the world." She couldn't wait to get to know her new pokemon.

Knight went on alert as he looked at the egg. His queen was going to get a new member to her family. Though it would be interesting to see who he would be working with. Nana who had been watching the white haired girl looked at the egg and wondered how Mekura felt. Her poor trainer wouldn't be able to witness the egg hatching herself with out Risa's help. Rubbing her head against Mekura's cheek she watched the egg as its occasional rock turned into a even rocking pattern. Risa looked to the egg and let Mekura into her mind fully to see through her eyes as the egg glowed slightly. Rio's eyes went wide and he rushed to Mekura's side and leaned on her leg to look at the egg. He had to be pulled back slightly by Knight or he would have ended up in the Mekura's lap.

Suddenly the egg let off a flash of light blinding those nearest for a few seconds. The light disappeared leaving a confused looking baby pokemon. Mekura picked up the baby and gently checked her over to see if she was born healthy or not. If not she might go find a Pokemon Center. The Larvitar/Axew looked over her mommy. She was nice and gentle. Suddenly she seemed to realize there was others watching her. With out a sound she tried to hide in Mekura's arms. She was rather timid.
