Stupid, stupid, stupid. He had a feeling it was going to haunt him for a long time. Probably a good thing he hadn’t admitted to eating the last of Felis’s birthday cake those few years ago as well. “Technically I wasn’t the one who hacked them.” he claimed, crossing his arms over his chest, “Vipin did. And that so does not count! Besides they were probably going to die anyways and you wouldn’t help me with father!” Ok… they really weren’t even close to dying and … knowing Felis, they most likely never would have. Truth was, Lance had been jealous of them and well… Felis had been jerk and… It was only fair! And damn Felis for making him think of that man! [/scrolly] [bg=black]

"Riiiiiiiiiiiight," the blond haired man stated rolling his eyes a good deal in the process. "Touch my flowers again and I'll make you work with Tim for a month," he grinned at his own wording rather pleased with that. Watching Lance work outside in the gardens actually brought a humorous image to his mind. Slowly turning and leaning on the wall that was near him, Felis crossed his arms in front of himself. "So what did you do... when you were gone?" he finally asked. It had been nagging at him simply out of habit to question as well as the fact that, deep down, Felis would love to travel. The ability to see the world sounded... well simply amazing...and.... [/scrolly]

He was pretty sure he shouldn’t mention that it had also been him who had cut all of the almost bloomed sunflower heads off his sunflower patch the one year. “Oh please, there is nothing left out there for me to ruin right now anyway.” The criminals he had down in the basement had done a good enough job on that. He had finally allowed his finger to drop from his chin, his eyes falling back onto Felis when the younger man posed a question. It was a casually asked, yet to Lance, a very delicate question. Luckily had been expecting it to come up at some point. “I began work with a trading and manufacturing company.” he answered before looking away, “I believe it suited me as I was able to see many places and things I had not been able to before.” Before he was lucky if he was able to leave the castle grounds without his parents digging down his throat. The past two years had been the most freedom he had ever had in his life, and oddly enough he had worked almost every waking moment of it. Though Lance didn’t see how much his answer could effect Felis. Though Lance himself didn’t see why his younger brother couldn’t hand his duties over to someone to watch for a few months if he wanted to go traveling. Ha, something their father probably would have never allowed. But that man wasn’t around anymore, was he? Of course there was always the problem of finding someone who had the ability to watch over things while still being able to contact Felis if someone they couldn’t deal with came up. But with the number of friends Felis has… Lance saw no reason why one of them wouldn’t be able to. [/scrolly] [bg=black]

Ah, that poor front lawn. Thankfully the backyard was untouched, and the greenhouse was still fine and dandy. However, the front... oh the poor front. It had even made Rosie tear up. At the next comment, Felis found himself blinking slowly. A business? Well... that was something, he guessed. "I see," he answered back half sighing. "Have any fun while out in the world? Meet new people eat different foods?" he asked with something between a questioning and overly calm air. [/scrolly]

Something Lance was rarely able to do. He almost envied Felis for that. What he would give to clear his mind and think of only the small pleasures in life. Yet… had he not cooed like a baby bird when Nero claimed they were friends? “I met many new people. Some much like us, many who weren’t. The places out of Era are very different from Era. There are no nobles and people have an equal opportunity to do as they wish. It was a like a dream.” He fell silent for a moment before shaking his head and answering the second question, “I did try a few new foods. This one place had this wired thing they called poutine. It was brown gravy and cheese on top of fries.” And dreadfully unhealthy to eat. [/scrolly] [bg=black]

It would be so fun to travel and see the world as it was. However, he knew better than to just up and leave the castle. He.... he had responsibilities now that he couldn't ignore to just leave even if he wanted to. The description of the food.. sounded oddly tasty ._. Butting a hand to his chin, Felis half grinned. "Sounds like fun," he finally smiled back. "I've.... been thinking about planning a trip to Paradise Island... take the family and maybe the butlers and some friends out and rent out the entire place, heh," he smiled a little in thought at this. But in his mind, when wasn’t Felis wasting time? “I’ve heard it’s a very beautiful and peaceful place.” Lance replied, “I’ve never been there but I’m certain you would enjoy it. Taking time off would never hurt.” Though why Felis would want to take the butlers with him was beyond Lance. Either way, he was not about to crush Felis’s idea. The younger man seemed happy about it and well… that was Lance’s goal was it not? To make Felis happy? Though he did have one worry… “I don’t mean to intrude but… I have a feeling you might be spoiling Rosa too much.” He knew when he was younger he use to spoil the girl too much as well. When he realized he had, he feared that she would turn out his sisters. He did not want her turning out anything like them! With the amount Felis spoiled her now, that was worry was once again starting to swell up inside Lance. He needed to make sure she didn’t end up like them and that he and Felis did not turn out like their father. [/scrolly] [bg=black]

"I was wondering if you wanted to come as well," he clarified after that before falling quiet again. It wasn't so much that he actually wanted Lance to come so much as the fact that... well.. ok... maybe somewhere in his mind, Felis found that it would be something good... something they hadn't really done before.. so... At the comment on Rosa, Felis blinked slowly. "She's ten," was all he answered back with as though that explained why he did what he did and such. [/scrolly]

Well, Felis had said family but for some reason he hadn’t thought of himself. It would be unwise to take so much time off work but then it would also help him draw closer to one of his goals. He could not decline such an offer. “I would be honoured to accompany you.” he replied with a small bow and smile on his face. It would probably be good for him anyway. He had been rather stressed and depressed lately so a relaxing trip would be welcomed. However, when Felis claimed Rosa was ten but gave no further explanation, Lance found himself crossing his arms over his chest. “Exactly. She’s old enough to be in grade four like the commoners kids.” he claimed, as he eyed Felis’s reactions before continuing, “In a couple years she will be going through puberty, finding attractions to males her age and even wanting to go out on her own.” If she was anything like him she would defiantly want to go out and adventure. Though his own words did worry him. Had anyone thought about giving Rosa the talk about what to expect as she grew older? Perhaps Felis would have Elayne talk to her about it. [/scrolly] [bg=black]

"I know... I know," he sighed dryly shaking his head a little. Rosa hadn't had tutoring in nearly two years go.. such a vacation of sorts. However, he'd have to look into getting her back into the swing of things, he guessed. That wasn't going to be fun... But it was needed.... After a moment of shaking his head slowly, Felis found himself resting a bit more on the wall than before. "I'll start hiring tutors and things," he mused dryly. [/scrolly]

Hearing Felis' voice, Elayne looked up and closed her sketchbook, not wanting anyone else to see the drawings,"Hey Felis, do you think you can hel-,"Elayne began, only to stop midsentence as she spotted Lance. Elayne hadn't expected to see Lance, and ever since the attack she had been a little more anxious, of course Elly hadn't let her set foot outside of her room for fear that Elayne would get hurt during the attack but that was beside the point ... what was Lance doing here anyway ... ? Elly was walking beside Elayne, relieved that the chaos had died down for the most part when she saw Lance about the same time Elayne did. Stiffening slightly, Elly all but leered at the other man, wondering what he was doing here at a time like this.[/scrolly]

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance uncrossed his arms and let out a small sigh as Felis agreed to get Rosa a tutor or, what Lance hoped, a private teacher. “If you are worried about her getting upset at you for making her study, you can blame me.” Lance suggested with a raised eyebrow, “I don’t mind being the bad guy. Besides she’s…” He stopped mid sentence and found himself turning around as he heard a small voice interrupt. Those dark blue eyes of his found themselves settling on Elayne, the girl seemingly stopping mid sentence as well. It seemed she hadn’t been expecting him to be there as well. Though it made him wonder if she had enough manors to check the room before speaking… ugh it didn’t matter. He had to respect her both for Felis’s request and his own goals. Not only was she family, she was important to Felis. There was one more thing that did bother him about her being there. His attire… he was not as nicely dressed as usually. His hair was messily done and his clothes… he felt so naked! “Good morning my dear, it‘s a pleasure to see you again.” Lance complemented her with a low bow, his voice slightly shaky. Damnit! He didn’t even have a rose in his pocket![/scrolly] [bg=black]

Lance had been cut off, and it left Felis wondering what he had been about to say. 'She's old enough to be understanding' perhaps? 'She's going to er uhm... respect it one day?' Felis was trying to figure out when he actually realized the reason that Lance had stopped, and his eye shifted over towards Elayne before a small smile came to his face. "Yes, Elayne?" he asked after a moment smiling rather easily despite all his general mixed up emotions about everything. [/scrolly]

But then again, Elayne didn't own any skirts and only had the one dress that she had worn to the masquerade, but that was only for special occasions and hardly fit to travel in. Elayne was about to ask what brought Lance here in the first place when she heard Felis speak and turned to him, smiling more easily now,"I was just wondering if you wanted to help me find some plants but that can wait,"Elayne replied in an easy voice,"Your brother's here, and I wouldn't want to take you away from him or anything."[/scrolly]

Besides… I’m not properly dressed for so much company.” He gave another short bow at that moment before taking a few steps and turning to walk away. It really was embarrassing to him to be so under dressed and in truth it was the only reason he wanted to leave. He had an appearance to upkeep! [/scrolly] [bg=black]

It was rather hard to break old habits after all and trusting never came easy to Elayne after all she had been through. Deciding to make the best of it, Elayne smiled,"I was going to head to the forest to look for some herbs and maybe some berries. Who knows Lance, you might just learn something~,"she said in an excited voice, "I drew a lot of the herbs and plants I found when I was travelling, I don't know if there are any similar around here but I figured it was worth a shot."Elayne continued, gesturing to the book she held though she was rather reluctant to show anyone her drawings, even if it would help the search.[/scrolly]

That simple grab of the arm to keep him from leaving was pure torture because he knew right then and there that he wasn’t leaving. It was fine… it was ok. Elayne had already seen his incomplete attire and there for it couldn’t hurt for her to see him this way a little longer. He was just being foolish. Though he couldn’t get that itching feeling to find a bathroom of some sort to attended to his hair. “I suppose it couldn’t hurt…” Lance claimed, relaxing his body and looking from Felis to Elayne. To learn something new. He had no intentions of ever learning about different herbs in the forest but it could never hurt. He had been visiting different forests of late, mostly the glade, so perhaps it could come in handy. Though most herbs needed to be crushed and heated and so on before they became effective and he had no idea how to do that stuff. He was no doctor. “It should prove it’s self interesting.” Lance replied after Elayne finished speaking, giving her a small smile before looking between them both. “Lead the way.”[/scrolly] [bg=black]

He... wasn't actually sure why but though he tried to keep a level head and remember why he'd been frustrated at his brother, Felis couldn't help but find himself grinning at Lance coming with them. Looking back at Elayne, Felis smiled easily. "Great~" he answered back before stepping sideways to follow Elayne out whichever exit she chose. The front was the most logical way, but the back led out through as well. [/scrolly]

Heading towards the front door, Elayne still held her notebook rather tightly against her chest until they were outside. In fact, it wasn't until that they were almost to the gates of Forest Castle that she released her grip on the book and stopped to look at the drawings before turning to Lance and Felis to show them the book. She really ... should show them what they were looking for after all right ... right. With a rather self-conscious smile, Elayne pointed out the plants that she was looking for in the book,"I was thinking of looking for these herbs and maybe starting a little garden, it would save me a lot of the trouble of going out and finding them every time I run low. They're supposed to be good for burns and fevers but I'm not entirely sure where they would be growing around here," she explained, pointing out the drawing in the book which looked almost like a near replica of the plant, complete with an explanation of which parts of the plant were good for what,"I uh ... I've never actually showed my drawings to anyone before ... sorry if they're not very good ... .[/scrolly]
