My Brother's Love (Jay/Elayne)

In the house they looked at the walls and random objects filling the halls while outside they scanned every tree, bush and blade of grass he could find. It wasn’t until they stopped just before the gate that he finally looked up at Elayne before allowing his eyes to drop to the sketches she held up for them to see. He actually knew a tiny bit about different herbs though the ones he had studied had nothing to do with burns and fever. “These pictures almost look like photo’s.” Lance commented, his eyes still on the paper though he did not reach out to take them. “I wouldn’t be ashamed of them.” He was speaking the truth and for once wasn’t just saying something nice to impress his brother. He hadn't said anything during the entire walk, yet as Elayne turned and spoke, blue spheres examined the drawings of the pictures. They were rather detailed, and Elayne seemed to know what they were well enough. He hadn't seen anything of such growing around, but then again, there had to be some somewhere~ "A herb garden sounds nice indeed," Felis grinned lightly at Elayne. "Now then... let's see..." At Lance's comment Felis simply looked sideways and grinned. "Elayne has talent~" he chimed lightly before slowly stepping out of the garden gates than and into the surrounding area. [/scrolly]

I've had a lot of practice ... ,"she replied quietly before following Felis into the forest. Looking around carefully, Elayne began to examine the plants, studying the leaves and occasionally flipping a page in the book to see if it correlated with any of the drawings she had made previously. Setting the book down where all of them could look at it, Elayne bent to examine a plant more closely and smiled when she recognized it,"This herb helps with poison, that'd be handy to have around. I know I don't always carry an antidote with me ... ."she mused, more to herself than anyone else before carefully uprooting the plant before realizing she hadn't brought a basket with her ... and she certainly didn't want to accidentally crush the young plant. Sighing, Elayne set the plant down and shrugged out of her jacket before setting the plant on it, it would work as a makeshift bag for now at least.[/scrolly]

Without another word, he followed closely behind his brother and Elayne, his eyes drifting from bush to bush to plant to plant. He couldn’t spot anything that looked like her pictures but he did recognize one of the plants he saw. It was useful for making an oil used a few of the things they made at his factory back on the orange islands. Though the plant wasn’t rare there, he was certain it couldn’t be as commonly seen in Era. None the less, it wouldn’t be useful to Elayne. He found himself turning his head, blue eyes looking down at Elayne and then the plant she was scooping up. “There are many different pokemon in the area that can cause one to become poisoned. It’s surprising people aren’t in need of more antidotes as it is.” Lance claimed before he began to walk again, his eyes once more looking around. He really wasn’t very good at finding things. He could probably be looking right at a useful plant and not even realize it. Though that one… “Is that a herb?” He asked, pointing towards a small, purple and green plant. It’s leaves were long and skinny and it sort of looked pretty. [/scrolly] [bg=black]

However, as Elayne had stopped, Feliciano had stopped as well and turned. When Elayne explained what the plant was for, the blond haired man nearly fell straight over. Oh for the love of Rosie El Roserade. Felis had to fight off the urge to both laugh and sigh. That would have been helpful to know.... went through Felis's mind, yet for all the gardening work he had done, he wasn't one to know of wild herbs outside of pokemon berries and he like. "Rosie's been known to accidentally poison people," Felis finally sighed. "So it will be very useful, indeed." [/scrolly]

I do know the plant right next to it is useful to cure paralysis though," she replied rather easily before Felis mentioned that Rosie had been known to poison others,"I had the same problem with Lily believe it or not, when I first got her she was a spoiled brat and would sometimes use poison powder or grass knot or something of the like to get me to pay attention to her. It forced me to figure out which plants were useful for antidotes since going into town wasn't possible most of the time." Bending down to turn the pages in her notebook, Elayne studied her drawings to see if there were any more of the herbs in the area.[/scrolly]

But there he was, bending down to carefully remove the rather pretty coloured thing from the ground without breaking it. “Alright,” was his reply to Elayne as began working away at it, his eyes shifting to the plant beside it for a moment when she mentioned that it was good for paralysis. When he finished, he slowly stood up, holding the plant in his hands as his eyes shifted from Felis to Elayne. “Got it,” He announced, unsure of what else to say. He wasn’t use to actually spending time with his brother and certainly had never spent much time with Elayne. In all honesty, he was actually enjoying it yet at the same time had the urge to run off and be alone again. It was so… awkward for him. Perhaps it would pass as time did. “Do you have many grass types as well, my dear?” Lance asked after she spoke about her… Lily… what ever type of pokemon that was. [/scrolly] [bg=black]

"She probably just wanted to be noticed," he pointed out after a moment. Felis looked at Lance as he stated that he had gotten the plant, and for a brief moment, he couldn't help but grin ear to ear. "Perfecto~" he answered back rather easily before looking back and starting to search for more plants. As Lance's question came to Felis's ears, he remained quiet knowing that it was put towards Elayne. Felis already knew the answer well enough, but it still wasn't his to answer. Continuing to search, he stopped a moment coming to a different herb hat was sticking out and already producing flowers. Bringing a finger to his chin, he wondered why it looked as familiar as it did.... maybe a cousin of something that was in the garden? Yes that was quite possible.... [/scrolly]

Ugh ... at this rate we'll need a basket or something to carry them in ... I know, I can ask Miliani to teleport back to the castle and get a basket. Where do you keep them Felis?" Elayne asked before Lance posed his own question about the grass types she had. "I have several grass types actually, Lily's my Chikorita ... I got a few from Felis on my birthday ... let's see, I have a couple from breeding and some others from a contest and from travelling. You can meet them all back at the castle if you'd like~. Oh! That reminds me, we have herbs good for paralysis, poison ... sleeping would be useful too and ummm burns. Better safe than sorry right?"Elayne replied before flipping through her notebook again until she found the herb she was looking for. "There! It should be nearby so that's good,... , can you think of anything else we might need herbs for,"Elayne asked, looking between Felis and Lance to see if they could come up with anything else.[/scrolly]
