Dear Vicious Circle I represent a Mystical themed role play website known as Aldlake Haven. Our website is www.aldlake.com. We are a Chat/Roleplay based site that holds regular special events for our users such as Trivia's, RP's and events for our members and the reason I am emailing you is to ask if you would be interested in a banner/link exchange with us? If you were to say yes, we will add you to our links page where our members, and others can see your sites link. This will get more advertising for both our sites which will be of obvious benefit to both of us. If you agree to this please reply back to me or you can contact our Team Manager Eugenekoh1@aldlake.com and he can answer any questions you may have. We have a selection of banners available (at www.aldlake.com/home.php?go=link&l=tous) please do feel free to 'hotlink' them directly from our website. This helps us keep track of our affiliations and allows us to operate an Affiliate of the Month scheme where each month our top affiliates are placed on our home page! Hope to hear from you soon. Regards, Isabella

We thank you for your consideration, but no thanks. It hardly seems fair that we be placed at the bottom- and judging by the looks of it what will become the middle- of such a massive pile of affiliates on a single page members must go out of their way to ever see in exchange for placing you in a static position on every single page of our board. Furthermore, we do tend to ask our button be placed up before the request is sent as a standard courtesy since you are the one requesting as opposed to needing to go out of our way to contact you to inform you we've accepted and running the risk it will get lost in transition or someone will forget. The lack of this courtesy, in addition to the e-mail-written request, shows quite a lack of actual interest in us (really? you couldn't take five seconds to make the message fit a message board post over its original e-mail intent?), and while this is expected from advertisements we really would prefer our affiliates look us over at all to know if they even like us specifically as opposed to just liking the idea of another place to throw a button.
Again though, thank you for your consideration, and good luck with that site.
