Something was off.
It seemed like just an hour ago Ella had been skipping along a merry little path in your everyday forest, with her partner Calista, the Shiny Glameow, just beside her. Lovely birdsong echoed in her ears, and flowers blossomed along the little brick road as her shoes seemed to prance in perfect rhythm. The liquid, golden sunlight draped like a veil of silk over Calista's glossy, roseate hued coat, and both she and her Pokemon comrade had a happy twinkle in their eyes.
And yet now... it seemed as she'd taken one step and the whole world had shifted into a new, dreary gloom of darkness around her. The woods were dead quiet; no sparkling emerald green leaves clung to trees--they were all bare, and eerily towered over her in the frightful silence. Not only that, but it seemed like gray clouds had suddenly appeared to block out the sunshine--that, or the tree branches lacing together at the top in the canopy shadowed the entire forest without the help of the clouds. Either way.. Ella felt scared. Immediately, she thought to scoop up Calista in her arms, pressing the little feline against her chest. She could almost hear her own breathing in the still forest.
"H.. hello?" Ella called out, taking another tentative step forward. "Is anyone there?" As she usually did when she was frightened, Ella's tone sounded small, weak, and rather childish--not only that, but her mind was a blur. She couldn't think straight when she was afraid; always having those foolish, childlike fears that some evil monster was going to jump out at her any second.

Far off into the brush, the sound of a Hoothoot calling out could be heard rather loudly. However, the vibrations that bounced off the trees distorted the sound, and it became hard to tell exactly where it was coming from. A sized flock of Murkrow suddenly flew overhead calling out in their cold calls as they grazed the sky. Suddenly, from behind a tree, two sparkling eyes seemed to focus themselves on the girl. A glint of something mischievous came and went from the spheres of sorts, and in another moment, a Sableye came forwards and slowly began to start following the girl.

Ella couldn't help but flinch back slightly and shudder as the dark flock of Pokemon flew past, their wings carrying a trace of the scents of darkness and despair. Suddenly, despite the spacious appearing, bare branches of all the umber hued trees surrounding her, Ella felt crushed in a tiny space--although she also felt like that if she took one step out of this space, something would surely jump out and attack her. Taking in a deep breath of air, however, the girl took a small step forward... then another, then another.
Finally her feet fell into a sort of rhythm that made her feel a bit safer. But Ella had never been the type to be good at telling if someone was following her--though there was very few things that she was good at, so it came as no surprise. However, Calista, having feline like senses, did have a strange sort of prickle that something was watching or following them. The cat Pokemon squirmed in her trainer's arms, as if she were trying to look behind them. "What is it, Calista?" Ella asked her partner in a soothing, high-pitched voice.

Meanwhile, the Sableye quickly backed up a few steps in case the cat pokemon actually did catch sight of him. However, after a few seconds, he smirked before stepping forwards again slowly, quietly, carefully-- almost there! Reaching out a finger, the Sableye made to poke the girl before suddenly issuing out a horrendous shriek of sorts and running away as fast as he could. Oh that had been fun fun fun!

Ella had suspected nothing, not anything at all; and yet, as soon as the dark and ghost creature had poked her, she felt as if burning fire, freezing ice, and shocking electricity all at once wound up her spine. She let out a small gasp of air at colliding with the ghost type, whipping around instantly, both fear and anger reflecting in her chocolate brown gaze. The humanoid like creature let out horrendous shrieks that she were sure would echo and haunt in her mind forever after that day, and yet she couldn't help but to utter the rather obvious reaction- "What the- !?" she cried out. Calista leaped out of her arms as the girl could no longer with strain her; the blossom hued feline hissing in aggravation that another creature had dared to touch her precious trainer.
"C'mon, Cali, we have to follow it!" Ella yelled, still in rage and shock from the Sableye poking her. She ran as fast as she could, with her Pokemon just ahead of her, racing blindly through the dark, thick, foreboding trees. Ella clenched her teeth in irritation--there wasn't much that made her snap out of her normally cheerful self, but being taunted by a Pokemon when she was scared and feeling alone in a dark forest did.

Meanwhile, short legs were short. Though he tried too out run his pursuers, the Sableye kept hearing the feet behind him grow louder and louder which, in turn, caused him to flail his arms a bit as he tried to speed up. Unluckily for him, the Sableye had looked back just to see how close his pursuers were only to look forwards again just in time to go crashing into a tree. The tree itself vibrated for a few seconds from the force of the sableye while the Dark/Ghost type now under it was rubbing the back of his head and muttering obscenities under his breath. that had hurt! >.<

Ella had to nearly stop herself from running into the Sableye, as she hadn't known it had stopped. Skidding to a halt, the girl narrowed her eyes in now both frustration and curiosity at the creature now rubbing the back of it's head. "What are you?" she asked in her typical childish, and rather naive soprano cords. "If only I had a Pokedex..." she muttered to herself, before shaking the thought off, and taking a step closer. "Now, what was that Pokemon again.. Oh! You must be a Sableye.. right?" Ella frowned slightly to herself, before she concluded that yes, she remembered that this was a Sableye. "You're kind of cute, I guess," she giggled to herself, before rather stupidly reaching out a small, thin hand to touch it, all her anger from before forgotten in the blink of an eye. Calista still growled beside her protectively, ready to leap forward if the Sableye so much as laid a claw on Ella, yet her trainer was unaware of this like all other things.

The Sableye turned his head and looked a tad fearfully as it appeared he was caught. As the woman made to reach out to him, he flinched back a little for a brief moment before realizing that she wasn't about to impale him or something rose. "Sable....eye," he finally answered back something akin to a 'oh hi' in pokemon speak. Ah yes, he was still somewhat scared, but as long as this girl didn't sick her crazy feline on him, he'd be fine for now, yep yep~

As the Pokemon said its name in what Ella could almost make out to be a sort of greeting she presumed, she couldn't help but smile at herself for getting it's name right. "So you are a Sableye," she exclaimed giddily in exclamation, clapping her hands together and giggling. Then her expression hardened a little bit more, as she remember her experience from just a few moments ago. "Hey, don't think you're off the hook just yet, though!" She tried to make her tone sound firm and intimidating; though that was a bit difficult for someone of her illustration, with somewhat small with childlike features. "Why'd you poke me?" Her still somewhat frustrated wail seemed akin to the sort of whine she'd make when she was a little girl and she didn't get her way.

The Sableye looked startled at the girl's sharp words, and for a moment, he debated on just running away or something. However, when she asked why he had pocked her, a confused look came to his face. "Sable," he answered back stating 'fun' rather plain and simply in poke-speech anyways. Indeed, he loved scaring people! It was fun....eh for the most part. When they actually chased after him, it wasn't fun anymore ;3;''

Ella pondered the rather simple response and what it might mean; perhaps he was trying to scare her? Most Ghost-types enjoyed scaring people, and thought it was fun--and so she came to the same conclusion as what his reply actually meant. "Do you like scaring people?" she inquired, whilst kneeling down to its eye level. "It's not nice to scare people, you know." She crooned, speaking in a soft, gentle voice that one might comfort a pet with. "Well, I'm Ella, and this is Calista," she gestured to her feline Pokemon before continuing, "We won't hurt you, don't worry."
The girl stood up again, and taking a glance around the forest, suddenly it didn't seem quite as leering or foreboding. Absentmindedly, Ella murmured aloud quietly: "Maybe it's lonely, and that's why it enjoys scaring people." It was a sort of a naive idea--not everything in the world did things because they were sad or lonely.

At the words from the girl, a rather confused but curious look came onto the face of the Sableye. It wasn't nice? D: But it was fun! .x. And fun things were fun right? Riiiiiight? Right. But... from the girl's tone, the Sableye couldn't help but feel oddly bad now for scaring her. "Sable-eye...." he frowned a little before looking away and rubbing the back of his neck. It had been his form of a sort of almost apology. He wasn't actually all too sure why he scared people... Maybe it was just their startled frightened looks that made him burst out laughing and feel better about himself.

Ella seemed to recognize that as an apology of sorts, and so at that she smiled and did a little twirl on her tiptoe. "That's okay. You're a cute little guy, aren't ya?" she giggled, bending down to eye level again. Calista sat down as well besides her trainer--although she didn't look as tense as before, she still watched the Sableye through narrowed, suspicious eye. "Are you lonely here in this forest?" Ella asked.

At the words from the girl, the Sableye seemed to look at her with a quiet confused expression. However, when she asked about being lonely he frowned even more. Well... sometimes it was lonely... when he had someone to scare it wasn't lonely, but when he was alone... ya... "Sableye sable eye sable eye..." he sighed admitting that it was somewhat lonely in the forest especially after he scared someone off. He'd never really thought about it but... he wished that people would stay around after they scared him ._.; Only sometimes though... but yah....

Ella wasn't exactly sure whether or not he had said that he was lonely, but from his expression she made the inference that it was a confession that he was in fact lonely. So she said the first thing that came to mind: "Well, if you're lonely, maybe you can join me and my Pokemon!" she exclaimed, if not a bit too excitedly; the thought crossed her mind that maybe the Sableye would want to battle her first, and so she pondered which Pokemon she might use if it came to that while waiting for the Sableye's response, despite the fact she would only be able to partially understand it anyway.

....Ok? The Sableye blinked a moment at the girl's exclamation of sorts. She seemed so happy about it and and and but but but....But would she make him give up scaring people <w<? Looking down a moment, the Sableye twisted his small hands around in thought. Well... he could probably scare a few people still but but but.... Blinking and wondering when in the world he had started this obscure doubtfulness, he looked back up at Ella and rubbed the back of his head slowly. "Sable..." he finally answered back quietly in a sort of 'maybe'. "EYE?" he added quickly after that. "Saaaaaaable eye! Sable. Saaable!" he chattered rather quickly trying to ask if she would still let him mess with people every once in a while if he went with her.

Uhm..? Damnit, what was he saying? It was impossible for her to understand the Sableye what with his very quick chattering at that moment, but it sounded somewhat like a question, so she decided that she would simply answer yes or no, and hopefully that would be good enough for him, despite the fact she wasn't sure just exactly what he was asking. "Uhm.. sure?" she said, hopeful that it was the correct answer that he wanted to hear, mentally crossing her fingers. All the while Calista had been watching the human-shaped ghost-type with curiosity, and she still sat neatly planted right next to her trainer; Calista could clearly understand what the Sableye was trying to say, of course, and just as her trainer wondered how the Sableye would react.

8UUU YESSSSSSS!!!!!!! The Sableye threw his arms up in the air and jumped up and down for a few seconds before grinning and clapping his hands repeatedly. Then sure! That way he wouldn't have to be alone even after he pranked people! After a moment, he regained composure and gave an 'official' nod of sorts. Alright, he would go with her n.n~

Ella couldn't help but let out a excited giggle, with both triumph and amusement; for apparently she had answered correctly in the Sableye's mind, and so she threw her first up in the air whilst holding a PokeBall. She lightly tossed the little red and white ball at the Sableye, and closed her eyes, waiting to hear the trademark 'ding' to prove that she had officially caught the Ghost-type. Calista stood up and padded over to the shaking PokeBall, sniffing it expectantly.

The pokeball did indeed draw the Sableye in, and in less than a second, the ding echoed out into the air. Well that was easy~
Name: Species: Sableye Gender: Male Ability: Keen Eye Personality: Mischievous and playful, this Sableye loves a good scaring game. He doesn't mind other games either but is more enthralled by scaring the daylights out of someone rather than anything else. He does get lonely at times, and during these times, he will seek out anyone or anything to cling to and talk to. He can be quite bold and likes to believe he's extremely brave even if he isn't. Battles are always fun to him, and he treats them mostly as a game. All in all, he has mostly good intentions....mostly.
