ALICE ROHESIA INCREPO --this is a gift, it comes with a price!-- Alice stepped lightly into the place known as the Arcane Temple, her hair swept back in the light wind that seemed to give this place a new and forbidden air. Alice's tongue swept across her lips. Forbidden. Even more tasty.
Loveless, out of her Pokeball, trekked not far behind, blending in with the fog and tracking her master's movements with ease. This was a new place to her too, and the branches scraping her ears proved to be a great nuisance--more-so than one would normally imagine, because it was more evidence of her blindness. Nevertheless, she followed Alice faithfully and let out a long, drawn-out howl when they reached the entrance. Alice immediately knew what that howl meant. It was Loveless's way of warning her danger was near, or sometimes, just trying to get her attention.
This time, as Alice did a quick survey, she saw it was just to get her attention. Loveless, as if sensing her trainer's gaze rest upon her, laid down and place her paws over her eyes, very clearly saying she was feeling out of her comfort zone here. Alice bent down and stroked her fur gently, reassuring the Mightyena until she saw it fit to continue on.
A snapping of branches behind her alerted Alice to the presence of someone...or something...behind her, and by the time this registered, Loveless had already begun growling. Alice reached in her bag and grabbed Amamu's and Lauma's Pokeballs, ready to attack. "Who's there?" she called out, not a trace of fear in her voice, for she felt none. An adventure. How yummy.

ooc: 'kay time for Kayla to barge in on your topic please. .n.
Arabella Vega skipped merrily through a the Eastern Woods, enjoying the feel of the cool breeze on her skin and the wind in her hair. A smile danced across rose-colored lips, creamy chocolate brown pools bright in the summer day and-- Ella skidded to a halt as she suddenly found herself looking up at a large, beautiful temple, dimly lit by the sunlight streaming through the treetops. Her eyes went wide with wonder at the beauty and intricacy and detail of every little part of the building, and she couldn't help but stop to stare in awe.
Calista, her Shiny Glameow and also her most beloved friend, advanced towards her trainer having been a little farther behind, keeping watch on anything that might try to jump out and attack them. Fearlessness and haughtiness was apparent in the feline's gaze as she glanced around, as if daring that any Pokemon that might try to harm them so much as step a paw out of line. Ella's arms worked almost like natural mechanisms as the pink cat jumped up into her trainer's arms, who caught her without even hardly paying attention. However, as she did so, Calista snapped a few twigs loudly in the process.
Who's there? A voice rang out loud and clear, echoing in her mind and snapping the girl back into reality. Ella blinked once, twice; before she realized that the voice was most likely directed at her. It was then that she saw there was another, very small and petite-looking girl standing a little distance away from her at the entrance of the temple. Thinking her to be a child, Ella ran over to her without a second thought, a grin on her face.
"Sorry, were you talking to me?" she asked her, though at a closer look Ella realized she was probably older than she appeared, but how much the girl wasn't quite certain of. "I'm Arabella, but you can call me Ella. Who are you?" Ella inquired sweetly, scuffing her shoe on the dirt as she waited for a response.

Alice's grip on her Pokeballs lightened when she caught sight of the red-headed girl heading toward her, shiny Glameow in tow. Loveless, catching the scent, grinned her canine grin and wagged her tail, longing to chase the coming Pokemon back to wherever it came from. Alice silenced her impatient whining with a movement of her hand and a telepathic command that carried no words, but meaning to let the girl and her Pokemon be until they started a fight...or until it was time to start one.
"Sorry, were you talking to me?" the girl asked, clearly searching Alice for details such as strength and true age. The "little" girl suppressed a smirk. Her real age would be up for guesses, but it was not to be revealed. "I'm Arabella, but you can call me Ella. Who are you?"
Playing up the little-girl act, Alice shuffled her feet across the foliage-covered ground "I-I don't know. I ran away from my parents in Fairway, over in Sinnoh, and now it's just me and Loveless, mostly, and she's blind. The other two are still really young. All my other Pokemon are back at home." Of course, none of what Alice said was inaccurate. However, it was intentionally misleading.
Instantly perking up, Alice's eyes began glittering with faux excitement. "I hear there's treasure here. Do you want to look for it with me?" Loveless snorted, which got instant scolding from Alice. " Don't ruin this. We might be able to trick them into helping us."

Ella wasn't smart enough to guess the girl's facade, and so therefore she fell right for the tragic, innocent sob story that flowed out of her lips. Calista was a bit more suspicious, however, and let out a small growl of warning at the canine Pokemon, lashing her spring-like tail back and forth, almost as if she were daring the creature to try and touch her. Ella, however, took no notice of this, and instead used her typical voice that she did when talking to small children or Pokemon.
"I'm sorry to hear that .. of course I'll help you find the treasure!" The redheaded girl smiled, a look of determination in her eyes to help this 'little' girl. "Would you like to tell me your name?" Ella asked, smiling warmly; most children were told not to give away their name to strangers, but it was at least worth a shot. "Oh, and by the way, this is my partner, Calista. Calista, say hello," she instructed, and the feline mewed its name halfheartedly.

ALICE ROHESIA INCREPO --this is a gift, it comes with a price!-- "I'm sorry to hear that .. of course I'll help you find the treasure!" Alice feigned a look of childlike excitement, while sending another telepathic message to Loveless. "See?" it said. "What'd I tell you?' Loveless smirked, her hyena-like lips curling up in a smile. She wished she could see the stupid girl that would be tricked into helping her master. Of course, there was again the matter of her cat. In Loveless' mind, anyone who would have a cat as a partner was obviously lacking a few major thousand brain cells, considering canines were so much more reliable. "T-thank you," Alice forced herself to stammer. "That would be very much appreciated, ma'am--I mean, Ella. I don't know my way around here, and I'm sure you don't either, but at least instead of just one mind working, we have two--plus our Pokemon." This was so very, very yummy. It was so easy to manipulate this young girl, and now, if there were any traps in the temple, she could be the one to take the fall. She'd heard the treasure wasn't one to be taken, but with this lovely asset, whatever misfortune that was to befall the treasure's bearer could take out its punishment on the stupid girl. "Would you like to tell me your name?" the stupid girl asked. "It's Alice, ma'am," Alice replied, surprised at herself for giving away her real name. She'd meant to say "Rose" for "Rohesia," but by some slip of the tongue, she'd accidentally let her identity fall out of her mouth. Oh well...not anything to be done about it now. Whatever the consequences were, they were most certainly not to be yummy. "Oh, and by the way, this is my partner, Calista. Calista, say hello." Loveless listened to the creature emotionless meow, and barked loudly, catching an immediate glare from Alice, but unfortunately, this did not stop the behavior, as Loveless was blind and had no way of perceiving the glare. Alice, once she caught her mistake, snapped her fingers, which most certainly had gotten the Mightyena's attention and resulted in an apologetic whimper and step back. "This is my Mightyena, Loveless, as I'm sure you've already gathered. She may be blind, but she's a wonderful partner. And don't bother asking about the name--she came with it and won't bother telling me what it means."[/blockquote]

Although Ella could not tell that there was anything unusual about this little girl, Calista glared at the small, blonde-haired child and her silvery hued Mightyena with obvious dislike, though the Glameow still appeared to be trying to figure out why she felt like she should be suspicious of the pair. Nonetheless Ella still took no notice of this, instead giving the girl a reassuring grin. "Alright, Alice, then let's go in." The redheaded trainer advanced a few steps into the temple, and all at once she felt oddly disturbed; as if a chilling shiver had made it's way into her body, freezing every limb for a moment with just one touch.
But the uncomfortable wave passed just as quickly as it come, and being the naive heart she was, Ella dismissed it with a wave of her hand; surely there couldn't be anything harmful or paranormal in this temple. It was just so beautiful! How could it possibly be dangerous? But Calista obviously felt it too, and she leaped straight out of her trainer's arms and began growling, looking in every direction. "There there Cali," Ella whispered softly, picking up her feline Pokemon once more. "I'm sure it was nothing."
"Are you coming, Alice?" Ella called.
