Xavier sweat-dropped. "I honestly haven't the faintest idea what." He said with a sigh, blinking once more at the Poochyena that was determined to tear a hole in Xavier's shirt. Shaking his head, Xav brought up her Poke'ball and tapped her, returning Isis. "Ah well. In that case I'll just bring out..." He paused, considering the situation. Saki had taken the Thunderbolt, despite her evasiveness, and was looking rather tired. Not to mention she seemed slowed... ahh, was that paralysis? Not good.

But her ability... perhaps he could abuse that.

Smirking, Xavier tossed out another ball, a Piplup materializing from within it. The Piplup looked back at Xavier when she appeared, pounding a small wing to her chest and nodding. "Pip!" She said confidently, looking towards Benjamin and his Poke'mon. This was Xena, a courageous little penguin. "Don't look at them Xena, Bubblebeam on Saki." He pointed, Xena faltering and looking back at Xavier with a gape. But Saki was fire and and...

Yet Saki called out to Xena, giving her a firm nod. Xena blanched at her but sighed, closing an eye and releasing the attack onto Saki. Saki absorbed it and gained energy back, huffing more smoke towards Ribbon. "Wonderful. Now, Saki, Ice Shard once more." Xavier ordered, Saki loosing the attack.

He saw Slash's eyes narrow and knew that he wouldn't hear the end of it. Getting back to his feet he was able to watch as Ribbon was hit by another ice attack. The beat down of ice attacks seemed to take its total on her, and the finally the little dragon fainted. Scowling a bit he recalled her and ran threw his mind on how to send out. Bringing out Layla his Luxio he watched as she already started to spark right away. Clearly she was ready for a fight, which was odd for her. Normally she didn't like to fight, but after hanging around with him for sometime she was getting used to it. Deciding to go with Nightmare to finish off that hybrid he called out his shiny absol. He smirked a bit when Nightmare fixed his ice blue gaze on the hybrid and charged without an order for Benjamin. His sword on his head lighting up as he struck with megahorn. Layla on the other hand waited for him to order her attack and aimed to hit the Piplup with a thunder fang attack.

As the Dratini fell, Saki looked over to Xena and nodded gracefully, the Piplup letting out a boisterous "Piiiiplup!" in celebration, pumping a wing enthusiastically into the air. Yet before their celebrations could continue, the next two Poke'mon were sent out and on the move, Xavier barely having any time to react. The Thunder Fang met its mark and Xena cried out in defiance, wincing under the super effective blow, the electricity coursing through her. The Luxio was one evolved stage ahead of her, and the STAB from the attack proved to drop her health dangerously low. "Hang in there Xena, ya just got out here, I know you can do it. Brine!" He called, Xena's eyes opening with a new found determination as she sprayed the Brine forth, her Torrent kicking in as well.

Meanwhile, the Megahorn (although powerful) was not very effective against Saki's fire typing, and although she was sent skidding backwards, she simply stared down the Absol before her. <That was unacceptably rude!> She chided, folding her arms. "Flamethrower, Saki." Xav said, Saki huffing up her chest and spewing the flames forth.

Being electric the water move wouldn't be supper effective on her, but it was annoying. "Thunderbolt." Flicking her star shaped tail she let lose the electric attack. Nightmare smirked as the pokemon folded her arms, 'As if I care.' His icy blue eyes narrowed as he charged forward using a quick attack to increase his speed as a black energy gathered in his mouth. It was becoming even more clear that Nightmare was far more aggressive then most pokemon. Growing closer he shot out a shadow ball attack.

Xena was an unhappy Piplup. She had just gotten out, and was now being beat down with powerful moves... super effective against her, even! Xavier wasn't too fond of the odds, and attempted another target switch. But how could he... ah! "Xena, Dive into the tunnel Isis made from her Dig earlier!" He pointed towards the nearby tunnel, Xena diving into it without a further thought, spewing water from her beak to surround her like a bubble. She maneuvered through the tunnel system rather easily, although utterly exhausted from the electricity blows. she wouldn't last much longer...

Fortunately for Saki, her second clone was struck by the Shadow Ball instead, the clone having dove in front of it. This left Saki and one more clone, and Saki wasn't too pleased. <So horribly rude, if only Her Highness and Almighty Lady was here, she... she would...> She muttered, unable to speak further on the Arbok she looked to as a Goddess. A small blush coated her white face. "Flamethrower again, Saki." Xavier's command disrupted her thoughts. Yes! She would fight for her Goddess Lady! With new found energy, Saki once again spewed flames forth.

She gave herself a shake as her tail started to glow silver with an iron tail. Jumping into the air she came back down slaming her tail by the enertrance of the hole. Trying her best to trap the small water pokemon under ground. Once she was sure that atleast one end of the hole was blocked she raced over to the other to do the same. Though in her haste she wasn't sure if perhaps the water type manged to get out, or would find a way to get out before she finished the second hole. Nightmare watched as the clone was hit by the attack instead. Narrowing his icy blue eyes once again he took the flamethrower attack. Lashing out with a night slash attack, he waited to see if it hit or not. He choose to take no notice of how the pokemon was mumbling to herself.

Xena had been heading towards the exit of the tunnel when it suddenly collapsed on her. She... was trapped? Blinking, she stopped her movements and looked back and forth between the tunnel exits. They were both gone! The Piplup tried to keep herself from panicking, folding her arms and thinking deeply. Come on, she could get out of this... ha! Smirking, she formed a Drill Peck on her feet and pushed it through the ground above her, drilling herself out of the tunnel she was trapped in. She burst from the ground and turned to Layla, directing the Drill Peck in her direction.

The Night Slash was fast and it hit Saki dead on, the Lapmander crying out in pain before backing away slightly. She was still standing, after all she had gotten soaked by water twice now so her health had been repleted, but these attacks were strong. She couldn't take many more hits. "Ice Beam." Was all Xavier said and Saki sighed, finding inner calmness before launching the attack.

Though the move didn't hurt her that much thanks to the type match up. Giving herself a shake the lion like pokemon flicked her star shaped tail before letting out a thunderbolt attack. Nightmare blinked when he saw the ice beam attack coming at him, instead of taking it this time he fired out a flamethrower attack at it which melted the ice. Deciding to be unfair he raced at her and attacked her with shadow claw. Normally in battle it was understood that a pokemon would normally use one move per turn, but Nightmare didn't play fair.

The final Thunderbolt struck home, with Xena still being in close quarters, and although the Piplup was resilient, the type match up was just too much for her and she fainted. Xavier returned with Piplup with a grin; he would have to work with her more. That was good to know, however. "Rest well."

In Xena's place, Xavier smirked before sending out Blau, his Barboach. Blau spun around once before regarding the Luxio before him, and greeted the Poke'mon with a friendly "Baaar~", yet before he could continue, Xavier was on the move. "Mud Bomb." He ordered, Blau blinking. Oh this was a battle? He was so on, then. Grinning, the Barboach sent the bomb flying towards the Luxio.

Saki, on the other part of the field, was taken aback when her ice was melted away, the quick Shadow Claw that followed afterwards was unexpected and damaging. With a shrill cry, she also fainted, but not before glaring at Nightmare. Xavier frowned somewhat... the Absol was fairly independent and appeared to be ruthless. Alright, then. Returning Saki, Xavier sent out Ace, his Charmeleon, whom looked at the Absol and puffed a ring of smoke at him. Man, he didn't look to chill... "Flamethrower." Xavier commanded, Ace shrugging before unleashing the flames.

He watched as the fire started to come towards him, but as it raced at him water started to fall and drench the battle field. It seemed the shiny Absol had used rain dance to power up water moves and even have a negative affect on fire moves. Though this time he was hit, and even though it didn't have a great effect on him, it still stung a bit. Letting out an odd sounding growl the Absol attacked with water pulse. It seemed he planned on attacking twice from now on, or at least while he was mad at getting hit like that. Still to him this Charmeleon was a threat, something worth his time to fight. He would enjoy battling him, even if he lost in the end. He would grow from this, and learn how to take him down in the future. Layla had been surprised when she beat her opponent, and before she was called back muttered out a sorry. She never loved battling, and would rather not hurt anybody, but she had to follow her trainers rules. She had been so wrapped up in her thoughts that she let out a little squeal when the mud bomb attack hit her dead on. She knew enough that electric attacks would be pointless on this fish like pokemon. Thinking a little to fast she used magnet rise to raise her off the ground. That should keep her safe from most ground attacks for now, right? She was a little unsure of that, but time would tell.

Ace's eyes narrowed at the Growl, his attack being lowered somewhat by the move. Yet before he could retaliate, the Water Pulse came towards him, and he knew better than that. He rolled to the side out of the way, smoke pouring from his nostrils in a huff. Ah man, this guy didn't play by the rules... two could play at this game! Standing up, he Growled right back at Nightmare, before slamming into the ground in a fierce Earthquake attack.

Xavier hadn't called for either of those moves, but he knew Ace well enough to trust the Poke'mon. Earthquake, being a move that struck all the opponents and allies in a double battle, did strike Blau, but luckily his typing negated a bit of the damage. As the Luxio used Magnet Rise, Xavier hummed. He could deal with that. "Scald." Blau complied immediately, loosing the jet of scalding water towards the floating cat,

But the red furred absol seemed to care little about that. However the earthquake did sting a bit, and he knew that the attacks he had already taken were coming back to haunt him. Though he knew he still had a good amount of fight in him, and he didn't plan on making this easy for his opponent. Fighting back with his payback attack he watched as the dark energy gathered in front of him. His bright blue eyes glowing with a wickedness that match his trainer's to the t. Layla wasn't hit by the earthquake thanks to her magnet rise, but the scald attack did hit her. Crying out a little she found herself stepping back a bit. She was uneasy with battling, and she was far from enjoying this. But she had to follow the orders of the pokeball, "Quick attack." She groaned but followed through with the attack. Racing towards the water/ground pokemon.

(Oh gawd I didn't see this sorry!)

Ace saw the dark energy brewing and watched it carefully, distrusting of the move. What was it? It looked ominous... his gaze flicked sideways for a brief moment to consider his partner and the damage he took from his own Earthquake, but that moment cost him; the Payback struck, a truly devastating blow considering the circumstances of the move. Ace roared defiantly, skidding across the ground but refusing to fall. As he came to a stop, he shook somewhat before dropping to a knee, his gaze intent on the Absol.

Meanwhile, Blau was struck by the Quick attack due to the sheer speed of the move. Xavier hummed thoughtfully, considering his opponents... first things first, it was raining. Perhaps Blau could use that to his advantage... "Dig, Ace." He commanded, Ace burrowing underground to avoid the wet weather that was about to unfold. "Surf." Blau cheered, gathering water in pools around him before rushing forth towards both foes in the wide, amped up water attack.

The fire pokemon dug his way under ground, but before Nightmare could think he was hit by a wall of water. The surf attack hit him knocking him back and soaking his fur and making him shiver a bit. He was about to attack Blau, when he heard a command from Benjamin, "Stone edge on Ace." He paused for a heartbeat wanting to attack Blau, but glancing at Wicked he knew that he better follow his order. Commanding the rocks to rise he let out a slow sigh feeling his body starting to hurt from the pain of battling. Layla was not fairing well and was knocked down by the surf attack. Getting back to her feet she flinched from the pain, and cast a glance over at Nightmare. She thought about asking him for help, but she knew that she would just be laughed at by him. Instead she gave her coat a shake and charged with an ice fang attack.

The Stone Edge was a keen move, the ground rising from beneath Ace's hidden body and forming into sharp stones, pushing him out from his shelter and into the air with a cry. Sheesh, this was getting tough! He fell to the ground with a small thud, shaking his head slowly and forcing himself up. Even if this was his last stand, he would make it count! Xavier knew it was all-in at this point."Overheat." He stated, Ace unleashing the ferocious attack.

Blau saw the Ice Fang incoming and acted quickly, water forming around his tail. He charged forth with an Aqua Tail, taking the Ice Fang head-on. This would be his attempt to exchange blows; in taking the Ice Fang, he fell back, ice forming on his tail and fusing him to the ground beneath him. Unfortunate!

Before he could jump out of the wave the flames of the fire attack overtook him, heating up his fur and leaving a few nice burns. Clenching his teeth he glared at the fire pokemon, and it looked like he might keep going. But that attacks had taken there total on him, and the shiny absol blacked out. Nightmare was recalled back into his ball and Wicked's own eyes flashed for a few seconds. But soon he let out Cola his Zorua/Houndour hybrid. The small dog pokemon gave a bark as she turned her blue muzzle towards the fire lizard. "Cola, show him your fire blast." He was greeted by a bark by his pokemon as she shot out the fire attack. Layla was hit by the aqua tail and stumbled back shivering to herself. She didn't want to keep fighting, but orders were orders. She watched as the pokemon was frozen by her ice fang and sighed to herself. She knew that she had to attack once again but it didn't seem fair. She pushed that thought to the back of her mind and charged in to attack with an iron tail.

Being frozen to the floor, Blau couldn't escape the Iron Tail and promptly fainted. Xavier winced; that had to have hurt. Returning the small fish, he shuffled Poke'balls and sent Isis back onto the field. The Poochyena shook her head and barked, grinning back at Xav. "Good that yer back to normal. Crunch on the Luxio." He pointed, Isis breaking into a sprint, jaws wide with the Crunch attack as she leapt towards her target.

Ace, although being one of Xavier's more seasoned fighters, knew he would faint soon. The Overheat had been powerful, but his special attack dropped due to it, and he could feel that; a dull singe in his throat. The Fire Blast that came his way was avoided due to sheer accuracy, but just barely. The lizard had rolled, and now rested on a knee, panting slightly. Yet he was strong, and determined; forcing himself up onto his feet and staring the hybrid down. "Toxic." Ace grunted, spitting the venom forth.

It seemed the unwillingness and the attacks she had already taken had taken there toll on her. Recalling her back into her ball the only pokemon he had left was to send out Slash again. He prayed the small pokemon would listen and watched as the fox like creature formed. "Aerial ace now!" The black pokemon didn't think twice about the attack this time as he slashed at the red dog. Cola barked as she was hit by the toxic attack and shook her head unhappy with the attack. Shaking her head without thinking the dog shot out a powerful flamethrower at her attacker. Flicking her tail she risked it and took a glance over at her father who was also on the battle field with her. Her blue muzzle and underbelly looking just like his shiny blue fur on his head and feet.

The Aerial Ace struck fast and nailed poor Isis, knocking her flat of her paws and causing her to roll across the ground. As she fell still, she tried to lift her head but was too worn by then, and simply offered her opponent a small grin before fainting. Ace, although the Flamethrower wasn't effective, was down for the count regardless. A double knock-out. Very nice.

Xavier returned them and sent forth Miguel, his Melanistic Horseviper, whom looked around cynically before spotting the two opponents across the field. Well this... was not good. He looked back to Xavier, whom folded his arms, thinking. Two on one... "Well. lets give it a shot. Surf." He ordered, Miguel sighing but complying, sending the wall of water towards his foes.
