For a while Xavier thought he had been catching up with his training... until recently. He almost hadn't a clue where all these new Poke'mon came from, but alas here they were, and desperately needed training. Well... he technically could leave them in their first forms, but Xavier was somewhat OCD about his Poke'mon and training them to be their very best. It was also very fun.

With a sigh, Xavier entered the EEC and scoped the place out, looking for any possible challengers... or at least someone that needed some training too. He was hoping to find someone that didn't have their main powerhouse on them, considering his entire party wasn't too beefy at the moment.

It was colder out right now with clouds covering the sky and blocking out the sun. Benjamin had no trouble with the cold and often enjoyed it more then he did the heat. His jet black hair seemed to make his electric blue eyes stand out, and he was sure that might attract some attention over to him. Well either that or the odd looking pokemon at his side. His shiny Houndour/Zorua hybrid was clearly going to get some looks, which he didn't mind. He loved her deep blue fur and they way she stuck to the shadows like him. He watched as she flicked her tail her deep blue patches of fur sticking out like his electric blue eyes. Wicked couldn't hide that fact that he was a little eager to be here. A building set up for people to battle their pokemon, was just the place for him. He had some new pokemon that needed to grow stronger and get used to the battle field so why not here? It didn't take him long though to spot another man in the building looking around. Since the place seemed empty he decided that this would as good a shot as any. Setting a brisk pace he walked over to the man with Cola trailing behind him. "Hello there." His blue eyes flashed for a heartbeat but other then that he didn't give anything away.

Benjamin's approach was unnoticed by Xavier, who had been distracted by a nearby battle, and he blinked rapidly when he heard the voice, turning towards its source. Ahh, a possible person to battle? "Ello there, the name's Xavier." He stated, offering a hand forward to Benjamin. Formalities were ingrained into the man from his mother's schooling while growing up. "Fancy a battle or did you just get done with one?" He winked in good nature.

Taking the hand since it seemed polite to accept the gesture. "Name's Benjamin." He didn't give his last name out, for two reasons. One the man didn't say his last name, and second he had wanted posters up for him around the region. When the man asked to battle he grinned to himself, "Sure a battle sounds fine. What kind of battle do you want?" He was interested in what kind of pokemon this man had on his team. Benjamin hadn't come here with a very powerful team, since he wanted mostly train so that would make this all the more interesting.

A grin quickly dominated Xavier's face as he released Benjamin's hand, tapping his chin thoughtfully. He hadn't done a double battle in a while, so... "I have six fellas on me that need some spot training." He began, tugging a couple Poke'balls from his belt. He tossed them into the air and caught them repeatedly while talking. "How does a double battle sound eh? Unless ya don't have six on your person." He offered, tilting his head in curiosity. This would be fun...

Benjamin thought that sounded just perfect for him, and it would help his pokemon that were close to evolving anyways. He watched as the trainer tossed two pokeballs in the air and looked at Cola who waged her tail. "Sounds fine to me. Shall he find a battle field." There were a few step up, and he started to make his way over to the closest one. Once there he recalled Cola and threw out two pokeballs. Out of one came a shiny Zorua, and the other was a Dratini.

Xavier nodded, his grin sliding into a smirk of sorts. "Wonderful~" He chimed, following the man to a nearby, unoccupied field. Once he had taken his chosen place, Xav flicked his wrist and sent the two balls he had been juggling out onto the field, Saki and Isis bursting forth from them. Saki, the albino Lapmander, was basically a white Charmander with Lapras ears, and a small shell on her back. Isis had appeared with a frontal flip, landing gracefully to observe her opponents. Ah, lovely!

Xavier bowed gently. "You can have the first move~"

This would be an interesting battle, as he waited an order from Benjamin who gave a nod to the other trainer. "Night Daze Slash, on Lapmander." The hybrid was interesting, but Benjamin had a few hybrids of his own so it came to no shock. But what he did notice was the white coloring the pokemon had, very interesting. "Ribbon kick it off with extremespeed on the Poochyena." The small dragon seemed to charge with a speed far greater then one would think she was capable of.

Xavier smirked; that was quick and to the point. The Extremespeed took priority naturally, Isis being struck before Xavier could work out an order. She took the blow but refused to fall, instead bracing her legs and skidding backwards. She shook her head with a growl, glancing back to Xavier. "That a girl Isis... Toxic on the Dratini." He pointed, Isis nodding and rushing towards her foe, spewing the Toxic towards her.

Saki, meanwhile, took the Night Daze with a shudder, curling her tail into herself as if trying to limit the damage. "Snap out of it Saki, Ice Beam!" Came Xav's command, Saki shaking her head vigorously and narrowing her eyes at Slash, loosing the chilled attack in his direction.

He gave himself a shake trying to warm himself up. Looking back at Benjamin he was a bit unsure of what to do next. After all this was only his second time in battle, and liked it better when he was given orders. "Use Payback." The shiny Zorua gave a nod as he unleashed the black energy as ordered. Ribbon cringed right away with the toxic hit her, and curled her tail up a bit. This turn her shed skin didn't kick in and she was left with the poison in her body. "Ribbon use Aqua tail." The dragon was a bit slower to respond but soon her tail glowed as she aimed to smack the pup back.

Xavier grinned at the ordered attacks, a sneaky little plan entering his brain rather fast. "Isis, Quick Attack into that Payback! Saki take the Aqua Tail and try an Ice Shard on the Dratini!" He called, Isis leaping with a flip and darting in the Quick Attack into the oncoming Payback, taking the blow for Saki. Due to her typing, it wasn't very effective, but she still stumbled backwards with the blow.

Saki, on the other hand, intercepted the Aqua Tail. At first one would think sending a Fire/Ice type into a water-typed blow would be absolutely mental, but the hybrid simply smirked as the water struck her skin, being absorbed into it and giving her extra energy. This was due to great luck at her birth to be given the Water Absorb ability, and she simply shoved the Dratini away, hurling an Ice Shard in her direction. "Good job you two." Xavier commented.

She let out a squeal as she felt the full blow of the ice attack. She shook her head for a few seconds trying to shake off the stink of the ice move. Casting a worried glance back at Benjamin she saw his icy blue eyes flashed. Clearly he was impressed by the sudden switch up. "Return the favor with thunderbolt." With hybrids it was a little more tricky trying to find there weakness. Plus he wasn't sure what type this hybrid was, it was fire/ice, or perhaps fire/water. Either way he should find out if it had part water in it after and if the thunderbolt hit. Now Slash glared at the other dog like pokemon, a bit upset that it blocked his attack. Benjamin smirked when he saw his Zorua give a huff, "Aerial Ace." He watched as his pokemon cast him a glance like he was nuts, but went forward with the attack.

The Thunderbolt struck Saki, and she did wince, but took the blow rather well due to her non-water typing. She cringed as the electricity's effects coursed through her, before shaking her head and folding her arms. How rude! She puffed some smoke in the Dratini's direction, shaking a claw at her in a 'no-no-no' fashion. Xavier couldn't help but grin at this. "Ice Beam." Was all he said, and Saki nodded, shooting the beam of ice towards Ribbon.

Meanwhile, Isis simple narrowed his eyes in response to Slash's glare, her red tail swooshing to the side, as if anticipating the Zorua's moves. As the Aerial Ace was called, Isis acted on her own according and used Dig, in an attempt to escape the attack. However, being a move that lands without fail, Isis was struck in her hindquarters as she was burrowing. She yelped in surprise and growled, submerging herself underground for the time being.

He was tempted to do that same, but decided not to. Instead he used the move Hone claws to raise his attack as he waited for the dig to hit him. He did smirk a bit he wasn't going to move, he was going to take the attack and prove he was strong. Ribbon on the other had cringed from the ice beam attack, but she felt the toxic fade thanks to her shed skin. She sighed, wondering how many of those ice attacks she could take, she was thinking not many more to be honest. Striking back with dragon rush, she hoped that it would hit. She could already feel that her energy was low though, thanks to those two past ice attacks.

The Dragon Rush wasn't anticipated and thus knocked Saki off her feet, landing on her back and... proceeding to get stuck on her back due to her shell. She squirmed and wiggled but just couldn't push herself back on her feet! Xavier blinked and bit his lip... that was certainly a problem he didn't foresee. Ice Beam wouldn't be very accurate from such a position... "Its alright Saki, keep trying to get up... use Psychic in the mean time, though." He said, Saki nodding in understanding and performing the attack.

Isis emerged from the ground just behind Slash, hoping to take him by surprise with the Dig attack. She remained focused and ready, although she was a tad peeved for that blow to her backside. Uncalled for!

"Use hidden power." The order reached his ears as he unleashed the move. Slash hoped the move would hit, since it would have a little more effect on the Poochyena since his hidden move power was ice. Eh not the best, but it was far better then using a dark type move on a fellow dark pokemon. Benjamin on one hand had been surprised when Ribbon manged to knock the Lapmander onto her back. Well that meant that he didn't have to worry about an ice beam attack again, but his pokemon was hit by the Psychic. "Use thunderbolt again." The small dragon gave a nod and manged to unleash the lightning attack once again.

The Hidden Power was surprising to Isis and she shivered when it made contact, back flipping three times to put some distance between herself and Slash. She then sneezed, causing her to blink rapidly, before looking back to Xavier. She wasn't too fond of the coldness in her limbs and was eager to keep moving... especially after getting hit these past three times. She needed to remain focus, and not falter... "Attract." Alright- wait, what? Isis blinked, looking back to Xavier again. She... wasn't exactly the seducing type but... with a hefty sigh, she faced Slash and turned her hindquarters to him, wagging her tail and turning her head to give him a hearty wink, in the Attract.

The Thunderbolt once again caused Saki to cringe, and she puffed out more smoke in irritation, yet closed her eyes and remained calm. She would figure a way out of this. "Fire Spin off your back Saki!" Came Xav's command, Saki blinking and smiling. That was good! She began spewing fire to her side, causing her to spin. She used the momentum to hop up off the ground and turn, sending flames towards Ribbon.

However that faded when she was ordered to use the move attract, crap that wasn't good. "Copy her." He saw as Slash cast him a glance that told him he was crazy as the small fox like pokemon looked uneasy. He was let out a few bonds closer to her, but was also hit by the attract as well. 'Tsk, why don't we gang up on these two?' He flicked his tail towards a trainers to show that he was a bit upset that they would order such a embarrassing move. Ribbon let out a small squeal of pain as the fire spin hit and she was trapped inside the ring of fire. "Fight back with thunder." As soon as he ordered that attack he saw a small seed of uncertainty hit Ribbon's eyes, the last time they used that move it ended up hitting her instead. Taking in a gulp she unleashed the attack as she noticed her opponent puffed out smoke again.

Also struck by the Attract, Isis halted her motions and tilted her head at Slash, a devious smirk appearing on her maw at his suggestion. <That sounds like a nice challenge.> She spoke her agreement, glancing towards the two trainers. Xavier hadn't noticed her change in behavior quite yet, too busy watching Saki and ordering her into a quick Double Team, splitting the hybrid into three copies of herself, upping her evasiveness and having the Thunder strike one of them.

Isis snickered. <Nows our chance!> She called, leaping towards Xavier with a font flip. "What on - " Xavier startled, taking a step back but being struck by the flying Poke'mon, teetering him off balance. It seemed the Poochyena had tackled him, and was now standing on his chest and fixing him with an unamused look. "Uh...?"

He watched as he ordered Ribbon to use thunderbolt again, and just a little bit after Isis charged at his trainer. Like her he was able to surprise him and knock the much heavier human down to the ground. The sudden leap caused Ribbon to look away and tilt her head as she looked at Slash. Ben on the other hand really didn't have a clue as to why Slash would jump on him like that. Well this was turning out to be an interesting battling that was for sure. "Hmm." He cast a look at Xavier to see that he was in the same mess. "Seems to me they want something."
