JADE WEST
The sound of drums did in fact catch Jade's attention as she heard the stead beating of them. It was an interesting sound, the sound could easily be related to a drum set, or old tribal drumming. Both interested Jade and she found herself more pulled to the theory of a tribal drumming instead. But what person would be out here drumming, even more so who would be making that noise later at night. She found herself interested with that question, and soon a small pokemon came through the underbrush. It was a small fire pokemon and one that wasn't to common to the forest. Jade however wasn't really interested in another fire pokemon. Inside she allowed it to pass but it did appear to be chasing something.
She paused wondering if it was worth following the small pokemon to find out what it was chasing. It could lead to something more dangerous, and that wouldn't be good. But then again when did Jade ever play it safe her past scars were proof enough of that. She was a fighter and would risk pretty much life and limb just to get some kind of thrill from something. Motioning for her pokemon to follow she decided to slowly creep after the small pokemon still hidden in the shadows.

The drums got louder, and the Darumaka continued to accelerate. Suddenly coming to a clearing, the small fire pokemon finally stopped. Standing in a circle, three Darmanitan turned to the Darumaka that had just come forwards. Smiling a little, one of them raised her arms sideways and took up the child before turning back again. What appeared to be a very deeply tanned man could be seen at the center of the circle. His arms would raise and lower repeatedly as he banged on the drums and chanted something obscure into the air. The other fire pokemon seemed very interested in whatever the man was doing.

JADE WEST
The sound of her pawsteps on the forest floor as Donatra followed the fire pokemon, wondering what the fire type were doing. She paused in the shadows watching them her blue eyes bright in the darkness that seemed to swallow her up. Just like her trainer she was interested in what was going on, and before her owner could protest she stepped out into the light looking at the man. "Nine!" The shrill cry as her tails lifted off the ground a little bit and her gazed fixed on everything in front of her. She felt the crisp tinge of fire on the roof of her mouth as she prepaid herself to defend herself in case this turned into a fight. She had lived on the streets and was well aware of people's desire to own a pokemon with such an odd coloring as her own. She before Jade always had to fight them off and was always a bit on edge when meeting new people.
The sound of leaves crunching behind her that held more weight to them. She turned to see Jade walking over to her, the young teen standing by her side. "What are you and the pokemon doing sir?" Her tone was mild as she rested a hand on Donatra's head and turned her green gaze to the man. Her eyes weren't filled with much emotion and hard to read just like her voice. She wasn't about to give anyone way just yet, unless there was a good reason to anyways.

The Ninetale's call caused the man to jump back stopping his rhythmic beat and looking confused. Upon finding himself staring at the fire type, he turned his head to one side before noticing the young woman walking up behind her. Eh? "These aren't my pokemon!" he protested rather quickly before stopping and laughing lightly. "They're my friends, and I am friends with many. How now, young miss your friends with such a Tales yourself~" he smiled making a directional point at the girl's pokemon before laughing again lightly. The there Darmanitan laughed together in unison. The Darumaka blinked a little not understanding what was so funny but deciding to laugh anyways.

JADE WEST
Jade took a glance at the fire pokemon and then at her own, and wondered how her own black furred pokemon was taking it in. Her thoughts were pulled away when the man spoke quickly saying that the pokemon were his, and that they were his friends. Ah well that made sense, the way he spoke was a little different but she didn't think much of it. Some people just talked different then others and Jade wasn't about to stop and question it. She may want to know the answers to some questions but there were others that she just left alone. Partly because she didn't want to get drag into talking about one thing for a long amount of time. Plus Jade was a bit selfish and didn't really care about people enough to ask such foolish question. She smiled a bit as the man and pokemon chuckled before deciding to answer his question. "It was by luck more then anything else. She was sick and I took care of her, and I was lucky she decided to join with me and become my shadow." She shrugged her shoulders a bit as she looked at the other pokemon. "I'm assuming there's a story behind why these fire types hang around you as well." She blinked once wondering if she would get an answer to that. Either way Jade was fine with it, she wasn't really pushing for a story but wouldn't mind one.

The man looked curious as Jade spoke and explained why the Ninetales accompanied the girl. Well that made enough sense for him~ Nodding his had, he chuckled a bit at her question. "These ol' friends o' mine, we play drums... I came out and played one day, and they came and wanted to play too," he grinned with a rather eas expression. His words were honest at least, if a bit harder to understand than most. In truth, he rarely made contact with humans now a days, but that wasn't something he was going to share outright. "What'cha in the forest fer anyways?" he asked after another moment appearing to take more interest than he had previously let on.

JADE WEST
Jade listened as the man spoke, and watched as Dontra flicked her tail from time to time. The Ninetales was paying somewhat attention but she could tell that her mind was starting to wonder now that she knew that the drumming was for. She felt her own mind slip as well but she fought to bring it back. No she had to pay more attention then her pokemon was doing right now. Jade was always on edge a bit wondering was was gonna happen next, a bad trait that she really should get over. Though sometimes it helped her out and kept her out of danger, but most of the time it was just annoying. She nodded at his words, making a metal note for herself, well that was indeed an interesting way to meet pokemon but explained some things. She blinked at his question but didn't seem to bothered by it. She shrugged her shoulders again, "I've always been one for the forest. I find its peaceful and its a better place to find yourself then in the heart of a city. Its free from all the noise something that thrives in towns and cities." She paused wondering if she should ask the man what he was doing out here, but in the end she didn't say anything. He must just be out here for his own reasons and she wasn't about to push to find out why.

The man flashed a smile as the girl answered. Ah so she was out there of her own accord then? That was surprising but rather interesting now that he thought about it. Reaching up a hand to rub his chin and the small amount of stubble that was laid there, he hummed a bit thoughtfully. "You play drums?" he asked before slowly starting to stand himself upright. The Darmanitan shifted a little, and the one with the Darmaka set her baby down in front of her comfortably.

JADE WEST
Jade paused when the man got to his feet and the pokemon shifted a bit. Blinking bit more she felt the warmth from her Ninetales fur as she paid more attention to that at that second. "Um no not really. I don't do music things really." She seemed a but awkward by the fact and simply scoffed her feet in the dirt. "What age did you pick up drumming?" The question slipped past her lips before she could put much thought into, and she cursed her nature to speak sometimes without thinking.

The man appeared to shift a bit but didn't actually get to his feet. Instead, he ended up sitting back on his knees comfortably. "Well... I..." he stopped and thought curiously for a brief moment as he tried to remember exactly when he had started playing. "Dunno... a looooooong time ago... 'snot very hard though," he said as though trying to be encouraging for a brief moment. "C'mon~ You should try it," he laughed a bit before actually standing up and making a motion to the drum. The Darmanitan all seemed to nod in unison while the Darumaka seemed to blink briefly before quickly trying to catch up with the elders and nodded to.

JADE WEST
Jade watched Dontra as the black pokemon blinked her blue eyes looking around for a heartbeat. The Ninetales seemed alright with everything, though somewhat uneasy with being around another person. Jade though she went to the city alot never really talked to that many people while she was there. She would much rather keep to herself and if she never talked to another person she would be just fine with that. It seemed the man was also a little odd around people, something the two of them had in common. She shrugged when he said he didn't know how long, and that it wasn't very hard. "Sure, I guess it wouldn't hurt." She made her way over to the drums noticing that they were a bit different then a drum set so to say. Her fox pokemon followed her over, taking the lead and placing her paws on the tops before lifting her paw up and down and a small thud beat forming. She flashed her pokemon a smile it was cute in her mind, and she enjoyed the effort her friend made to make her feel more relaxed.

The man watched as the Ninteales took the lead with the drums and couldn't help but smile a little at the paw move. One of the Darmanitan chuckled a bit and leaned off his heavy fists to bang a little on his chest making a vibration that was surprisingly similar to that of the drum beat. The tanned man laughed a little and clapped his hands. "Bravo~" he said towards both before nodding. After a moment, he moved towards the drum and set a hand on it. "Go like this.." he said tightening his hand into a fist before banging the drum and letting up on it shortly after before hitting with his wrist. The sound came off as two different beats that harmonized well.
