I used to go to a 'career center' for computer programming and hardware. I went for one whole semester before realizing that programming wasn't my thing at all, and so I left. I missed my friends from the class, but all was well.
Fast-forward to last year. I began going to college, and within a week or two I happened to find almost the entire group of friends from the career place! Naturally I hung around with them and was happy as a lark.
That was semester one. Semester two, I still hung out with them, but one thing changed - one of my friends from the place began bringing his older brother to the room we all hang out in. Of course I fell for him, right?
So I talked to him almost constantly in that room, and eventually got his number and began texting him as well. We got on well over the summer and talked almost every day for long periods of time. I hinted that I liked him and eventually just up and told him I did, and he just took forever to reply and then said he didn't know what to say when he finally said something.
A few weeks ago, I was talking to a friend of mine who is a mutual friend, wherein she told me that he told her he liked this third girl. At the moment I hadn't really thought anything of it, but as the day progressed it kept bothering me and getting to me so finally when I got home I texted him to ask about the girl he liked.
He confirmed that he did and said that he thought it was obvious and that he didn't mean to lead anyone on, even though he knew damn well that I liked him the entire time and could have just been like "sorry I like someone else". Fine, fine, I cried a little but I was alright later.
So as the week progresses, I can barely get him to talk to me. Last week, same thing. I finally got him to spit out what his problem was; he thought I was mad at him and he didn't feel like he should feel bad for liking someone else.
Insert facepalm.
Sad part is that I still like him. :/
