Somehow, it was colder than what he remembered. The wind brought an added chill, adding to the somber eerines of the scene. Trudging up a mountain, a young man dressed in black, draped in a dark, torn cloak that covered his face lamented on the memories of this particular place. Here was where it all begun. That short lived euphoria which he could never forget, the moment, the scene, that memory of when he first met her burned and branded into his mind.
For the past couple of weeks he had been dreaming of her. Sweet, beautiful dreams of a better time only to awake to the bitterness of regret. His mistakes uneraseable, what he did, im his eyes, unforgivable. It was his decision, it was his choice it was his worst mistake. What could he do but move on? Everthing was all too late now, time machines don't exist, a celebi he would never find.
Finally reaching the mountaintop, the young man spotted a familiar fallen log, it the same spot it had been all that time ago. It was funny how some things don't change whilst others change so much.
Sitting on the log, the man took off his cloak, staring out over the view. Ezio had a fatigued look on his face, his hair was longer an messy, facial hair was now growing. He was slightly taller and more built, he was still a teen after all, even though he was now of legal age. The smile which once always filled his face was no longer there, instead his face stood emotionless, his eyes seeming dead.
It was about time, he figured as he looked up towards the sky. Sure enough, the rest of his memory was re-enacted as he watched the nothern lights fill the sky. It was a beautiful and mesmerising scene though it only helped in adding to his regret.
Feeling his hand unconsciously make its way across several spherical objects, Ezio contemplated releasing his pokemon, the only family he left in the world before decidig against it. He wanted to be alone for awhile more, in the agony of his thoughts. Why on earth had he done what he did? Why did he ever leave?
Standing up, Ezio let out a long sigh. He was frustrated at himself, at everything. He needed to take his mind off things, perhaps some training would help, there were some pokemon around. Scanning his surroundings, Ezio searched for any pokemon willing enough for a battle.

A low fog settled in the area, perhaps in an eerie reply to Ezio's dark musings... or perhaps coincidence. This weather element caused many Poke'mon to tuck into their nests for the time being; it was not always safe (nor wise) to take off into a mist. Yet, as those too timid tucked away, the bold emerged, perhaps for a bit of snacking while the others snoozed.
Off to the man's left, a Poochyena could be seen trotting along, pausing briefly to bark something back towards what looked like a small Lillipup, whom was shuddering. Upon being barked at, the small puppy yelped, scurrying to the dark hyena's side, continuing to shiver. She watched the fog skittishly; she didn't like it! The Poochyena sighed, shaking his head a moment and bopping the pup on the noggin, grinning down at her. The two appeared to be friends.
To Ezio's right, he would see a Stunky leering at him rather suspiciously. What was he doing here? He didn't see many humans up here and... the ones he did saw were nothing but trouble-makers! Huffing up a little, he took a step towards Ezio, in an attempt to make himself more intimidating. "Stun! Stunky!" He called to him, as if jeering at the man to 'get off his lawn' or something.
Yet the Stunky flinched as a loud roar came from within the fog. He glanced sideways towards the settling mist... what on Era was that...? His previously intimidating appearance shrunk as he gazed into the fog, then back at Ezio keenly.

Watching as a low fog covered the area, Ezio payed it no mind as he crossed his arms and continued to survey his surroundings. What should he fight? Who should he train? All of them needed to be trained and he wanted to evolve his youngest pokemon and he needed a battle.
Hearing the sounds of barking caught his attention as he turned to look. Spotting the Poochyena and Lillipup, the smallest of smiles crept up on his face. Seeing the two together reminded him of how things used to be, looking away he figured he might as well leave them alone, they were too cute together.
Turning his attention away and spotting the Stunky, Ezio was intrigued. Tilting his head to the side, he kept the gaze, staring back at the Stunky, wondering what the pokemon's next move would be. The Stunky appeared like it would put up a decent fight and he figured he might be a nice addition to his team. Before Ezio could challenge the pokemon however, the loud roar took both their attention.
What exactly what was that? Quickly placing his hand over his pokeballs, Emilio took a few steps forward, placing himself in front of the Stunky. Whatever this thing was, it obviously wasn't going to go down without a fight.

The roar has scared the Lillipup, sending her running. The Poochyena sighed and followed after her, yipping words of encouragement to hopefully soothe her nerves. The pair disappeared down a slope, opposite from the roar and the mist.
The Stunky blinked at Ezio's bravery, 'tch'ing somewhat and storming by the man, glaring up at him. "Stunky!" He declared, huffing his tail into the air and storming off towards the roar. He would show this human! He wasn't a scaredy-skunk! With determination, he puffed up big, before bellowing a loud "STUNNNN-KYYY!" into the air, a defiant roar back to the unknown.
There was a moment of silence, where Stunky's call echoed through the air... then all of a sudden, Stunky was sent flying right by Ezio's head, landing with a skid across the ground. Emerging from the mist was a very large Beartic, glaring daggers at the small Poke'mon. Her eye drifted to Ezio next, and she bellowed once more, raising a fist to strike him. The Stunky staggered to his paws, bewildered.

Briefly glancing down at the Stunky, Ezio admired it's courage. Not every pokemon would just run off like that but with no idea of what the creature the roar came from was, it was rather foolish. Standing watching, anticipating, Ezio wondered what would happen next.
Ezio had to quickly dodge as the Stunky suddenly came flying towards his head. Rather worried for the Stunky, Ezio was about to make his way to heal the pokemon when the large creature stopped him. Turning and facing the Beartic as it prepared to strike him. Keeping his gaze on the pokemon and never looking away nor trembling a flash of white suddenly sprouted as his Flygon appeared a few moments before the Beartic struck Ezio, tackling and charging into the Beartic in an effort to get the creature away from her Trainer. NO ONE hurt her trainer, much less some random white bear. Fly gave a death glare to the Beartic, snarling at it.
Two more flashes and Fly was soon joined by Ezio's Metang and Shimapix (ooc: blitzpix but i prefer shimapix, a hybrid of a blitzle and vulpix) who were both snarling at the Beartic. "Fly, let Metallic and Bellasia handle this, they can use the training. But if things get too rough help them out." Ezio called out to his starter pokemon as he quickly made his way over towards the Stunky, pulling out a potion. "You're quite the courageous one you know that?~ Here, this'll make you feel better" He stated as he healed the pokemon, smiling at it before turning his attention back to the battle. He would've like to catch that Stunky but the Beartic was his priority now.
Metallic didn't need any more words before she charged the Beartic before anyone else could react. The only pokemon more protective of Ezio than Fly, was Metallic. With hate-filled eyes, Metallic charged the Beartic with a Meteor Mash. She was prepared to kill this creature if it came to it.

The Stunky leered as Ezio approached. What, this human thought him a weakling? He was fine! He began to huff up once more, only to wince and deflate with a sigh. Aw, who was he kidding? That overgrown polar-bear had practically knocked his marbles out... as a matter of fact, when did the sky become the ground, and the ground... the.... sky? Yet as the potion made contact and the words of praise reached his furry ears, the Stunky blinked, shaking himself rapidly before peering over at Ezio. Courageous...? "Stunky Stun." He nodded, a slight flush on his cheeks. Yes, quite right! Courageous... Haa...
Meanwhile, the Beartic was less than pleased that her punch had been pushed back, locking her eyes with Fly, a positively lethal look within them. Yet as Ezio called the dragonfly back, she growled; he dare mock her so?! <I rule this side of the mountain! This village is my own!> She spat in Poke'speech, sneering at her two new opponents. <I have ripped through Poke'mon far larger than you Rattata. What chance have you got?!> She roared defiantly, casting her arms upwards and beginning a Swords Dance. She wasn't playing around!
As her dance finished, she felt the Metang plow into her, a fierce snarl leaving her lips. Typical beasts, fear making them fight unfairly, two on one and a type advantage to boot (well, unfair in the bear's eyes, anyway)! She glared right back at the steel-type, making to grab one of his arms and pulverize the ground in a Bulldoze attack. Two could play this game!
