Chessie trudged through the foggy woods with a grimace on her face, Swifty close behind her. The two weren't exactly happy to be lost in the terrifying woods, and to make everything worse, it was at night. Swifty bounced forward, arriving next to Chessie, and looked up at her with a questioning glance. Rolling her eyes, the girl looked down at the dog Pokemon and stopped walking. "Look, I don't know where we're going. Stop asking...Please. Thats only going to make me more frustrated." She groaned, scratching her head and looking around. Everything looked the same, only causing the two to become more confused. Swifty whined and nudged Chessie's leg, causing her to bend down and stroke the Poochyena's head. "Its okay, we'll get out eventually...Maybe if we just keep walking forward, we'll get somewhere..." She suggested, causing Swifty to nod her head.
"There has to be SOME WAY out of this shrouded hole of death, right? Maybe if we take rocks or something to drop on the ground, like that old nursery rhyme..." Before Chessie could finish, Swifty whined and raised a furry brow. "Right. That would've been a better idea when we entered the forest, huh?" She said, sighing and standing up now. Taking one last look around, Chessie finally gave up and slumped down against a rock, the aggravation finally getting to her. "This is useless. I might as well wait until its light or something, I mean, I can't even draw in this type of darkness! I can barely see as it is!" She complained, petting Swifty as she trotted over and sat next to her trainer. "Oh well. We'll wait then, agreed?" Chessie asked, looking at Swifty, who shook her head eagerly.

In the distance, a flickering light could be seen not too far off from where Chessie was sitting. It seemed that it was surrounded by other shadows, but it was impossible to tell exactly what was going on at the moment.

Swifty noticed the flickering light before Chessie did, sending the little dog into a fit of growls and whines. Obviously, it was scaring her, but she was definetely curious too. Chessie had just gotten into her sleeping bag when Swifty had alerted her, so she sat up in a frustrated manner and squinted to see what was disturing the Poochyena. There seemed to be a flickering light of some sort, and it sent shivers down Chessie's spine. "I wonder what that is..." She stared at it intently, the curiosity making her feet itch. "Wanna' go check it out?" She asked, looking at Swifty. Swifty seemed a bit reluctant on her answer, but seeing that her master did, she nodded. Curiosity had gotten the both of them, so they stood up and got ready to venture towards the mysterious, flickering light. Of course, they'd never watched a scary movie before either, so they didn't know they should stay where they are instead of go towards the terrifying thing. Oh well.

Ezio trudged through the Haunted Grove in silence, only the sounds of his own footsteps could be heard. It was getting dark though he didn't mind. If he really wanted to get out of this place all he had to do was call out one of his dragons or birds and there, it was as if having an escape rope in those games, what were they called again?
Continuing on, Ezio glanced around his surroundings, as if ready for anything to pop out at that exact moment. What was he doing in such a place? He had no idea, recently he had found himself popping up over all different places in Era, he wasn't all that sure why. Whatever, he figured He hadn't exactly been here before so why not explore it and see if he can find anything useful or at least train his team. Training was something he needed. For some reason, Ezio felt the need to prove himself, to whom it was not exactly clear but it was more like he needed to prove himself, to himself. Was he worth his own team? Could he really win back that one girl, the girl of his dreams?
Getting lost in his thoughts, Ezio lost track of where he was headed before his mind snapped back to reality. It was definitely night now. Where he was, he had no idea. He contemplated bringing out a pokemon but no, he'll brave it out a while longer unless he really needed it.
Walking for a few moments more, Ezio stopped once he noticed something in the near distance. A light flickering on and off. What exactly was that? Curiosity grabbing a hold of him, Ezio cautiously made his way to the light.

As they drew nearer to the light, it became more apparent that the light was actually a rather worried looking Litwick near 3 other Pokemon. The closest one happened to be a Stantler who appeared to be the leader of the other 2, a Ralts and a Gothorita. The smaller Pokemon were hiding behind the Stantler and glaring at the Litwick for whatever reason while the Litwick was backed into a tree, looking quite afraid.

Chessie hardly had time to notice the opposite, mostly because it was too dark to see the other human. But even if she could, she'd pay no attention, for there seemed to be a bit of an issue involving a Litwick, a Stantler, a Ralts, and a Gothorita. Swifty ruffled up her fur and bared her teeth, as if ready to pounce, but Chessie bent down and stroked her head lightly. "Calm down..." She hushed the Poochyena, and looked back at the situation. Well, she could say something and risk injury, she could send Swifty in there and risk injury to both Swifty and her, or she could leave it alone. But whats the fun in that? "H-Hey! Leave that Litwick alone!" She said, stammering a bit. The fact that this forest was so creepy at night didn't help with the situation and fear of being attacked.
"If it did anything at all, was it really a reason to attack it?" She asked, knowing that she wouldn't get an answer, unless some magical power let the Pokemon talk. Swifty looked at the four Pokemon, deciding which she should attack first, if any at all. "We can all be friends, right?" One of the cheesiest lines ever, maybe, but still better than saying nothing.

As Ezio neared the light, he began to make out the form of the figures and began to make out the situation. Something was obviously wrong though Ezio questioned himself whether he should intervene or not. It was a pokemon issue which should be resolved through pokemon, this wasn't some child aimed show where the protagonist resolves every problem a random pokemon may face, there were way too many and each one would ultimately lead to another problem or issue. Even though he said this to himself, Ezio still remained near and kept watch, he didn't like the look of things.
Suddenly though, the call of a young girl called be heard. Wide eyed, Ezio had not all been expecting this and mentally sweatdropped. No matter if the girl had decent pokemon or not, he had to intervene now. Running around the pack of pokemon, jumping in between the girl and the pokemon. He ddn't kniw the full story of what was going on but he needed to the protect the girl. He had caused enough hurt to people amd one girl in particular, he needed to protect at least someone from harm. Placing his hands on his pokeballs, he was prepared in case anyone of them wanted to attack. "Hey stay behind me" he called out to the girl, not taking his eyes off the pokemon

Chessie jumped back in fear as a man jumped in front of her, Pokeball clutched in his hand. Swifty yelped in surprise, jumping back with Chessie, but built up some courage and sniffed the man's feet and ankles curiously. "Swifty, get back!" Chessie hissed at the Poochyena, who reluctantly obeyed her command. She pawed at Chessie's leg, but only got a grunt in response. "Swifty, even if I wanted you to battle, you couldn't take all three of them! Think about it." She said, causing her furry friend to sit and ponder the question. Chessie looked up, a bit curious herself, and studied what she could tell of the man. It was too dark to really tell anything, but tried her best. He was obviously older than her, and taller it seemed, and he looked strong, which made her feel a bit safer.

The Litwick seemed startled by the entrance of the Poochyena and tried to pretend like she hadn't been scared in the first place. The humans weren't going to attack her right, right ... besides why would they even want to.
About that time the Ralts seemed to make some sort of motion towards the Litwick. It seemed he didn't take to kindly to ghost types which made sense considering he was a psychic type.
The Stantler nodded at the Ralts and lowered her antlers at the Litwick, charging at her with a Bite at the ready.
The Gothorita seemed to panic when the Stantler charged. The Litwick hadn't done anything wrong D: Why were they being so mean! Shaking her head, she used Psychic on the Stantler, stopping her in mid-charge and set her more or less gently on the ground. The Stantler looked none too please at the treatment but simply glared at the Gothorita lest she anger the Ralts. Indeed it seemed that the Ralts was more or less the leader of the group for whatever reason.
The Ralts looked angry when the Gothorita stopped the Stantler and slapped the Gothorita who fell backwards onto the ground, shocked to say the least though the Ralts seemed to regret his action and helped her up. It seemed something wasn't quite right here to say the least ... .
