Spoiling for a Fight (Open)

[KARP KARP!]

For some reason, the EEC looked a lot cooler at night; and the fact that it was practically empty made it that much more eerie. Such an ungodly hour, yet the unmistakable figure of a young girl wanting to do a little training could be seen in the arena. Of course, who would want to battle at this time of night?

Chase Tagran's green eyes scanned the area, her sandalled feet making little sound as she explored the center. Her short red hair was kept out of her face, and she had a dark red, low cut shirt that showed her stomach, with a black pair of capris pants.

Sure, there was no one here at the moment, and she and Hunter were going to go tomorrow. But the petite girl couldn't wait, and instead of waking Hunter, Chase let her twin sleep. Practically itching for a battle, she sighed. Oh well, either way she was going to get Hunter to come after she woke up. The older twin was just a little impatient sometimes.

Suddenly, she stopped, looking around. Maybe she was paranoid, but she just couldn't shake this feeling that she wasn't alone...

DRAKE SHADDIX

In fact there was someone watching, and if the young girl looked to ahead of her she would be able to see a small flame of a pokemon hiding in the shadows. The flame wasn't the brightest around, but it lit up the space around it making the flame seem brighter then it would have in the day time. As soon as the pokemon was aware of Chase its flame grew a bit and it started to walk towards her. The closer it got you could see the tiny size of the pokemon as the Cyndaquil walked up. Other then seeming to be able the pokemon's color instead of blue was a light brownish red.

"Hey Rex! Wait up bud!" The sound of rapid foot steps sounded as a tall man came running over. His black hair covered one of his eyes and had mixes of white to it. He looked to be in his late 20's and in rather good shape. Drake came to a stop as his shiny Cyndaquil looked at him, and simply tilted his head. It took him sometime to notice the girl, but once he did a grin spread onto his face. "Wow, so did you survive the zombie attack?" He chuckled a bit as he leaned back on the balls of his heels. Clearly Drake wasn't shy, and had no trouble cracking a joke at any hour of the day.

Chase noticed the flame of the Cyndaquil, and in fact had a Pokeball in hand. The girl was SURE it wasn't a wild Pokemon, but still. Cyndaquil really wasn't her type, anyway. And she knew Hunter had a Quilava. But as she suspected, the little Fire type's owner wasn't far behind. Okay, so he really wasn't all that bad looking. Not that Chase would ever let him know she thought he was hot.

The petite seventeen year old snorted lightly at the man's comment. "Apparently it ain't over yet; cuz that joke was as dead as they come," she replied rather harshly, sizing the man up.

DRAKE SHADDIX

Drake smirked bit at her comment, but wasn't bothered by it. Flipping his hair out of his face, he didn't react to the harshness in her voice. He never saw a point to get worked up by words, even more so by a complete stranger. Even though that grin never seemed to leave his, "Ah well I guess your right." On the ground next to him Rex tilted his head once again. Sometimes the small fire type didn't understand Drake, but he still enjoyed hanging with him. Fighting back a yawn he looked back at the clock to see what time it was, midnight. Huh seemed he had been here for sometime, "The name's Drake." He didn't offer his last name, nah he only did that with people he became good friends with.

From the looks of it, Drake wasn't going to be set off very easily. Not that that was a bad thing; Chase had a knack for getting at people's nerves. "Chase," she replied after hesitating a moment. As she'd gotten older, she realized that she didn't exactly have a feminine name; and on top of that, she and her sister had the exact same middle name.

Chase Anne Tagran took that moment to mentally curse her mother for being so...whatever it was they called that woman. Chase preferred stupid. "....Cute Cyndaquil," she stated to break the silence. "So you wanna like, battle, or what?"

DRAKE SHADDIX

So her name was Chase, interesting very interesting. Drake often liked names that weren't normal, after all his name wasn't common. In fact his didn't hear of many people with that name now a days, and figured that it was more common a long time ago. "Cool." Was his only comment at her name, but quickly smiled a bit more when she mentioned his Cyndaquil. He saw the small fire pokemon's flame burn a light bright as Rex tilted his head. It was basically a blush, but it showed threw his flames instead of turning his checks that ruby red like it did to people. "Thanks, sure I'd be up for a battle. What kind did you have in mind?" He shrugged his shoulders a bit running through what pokemon he had on hand right now.

[KARP KARP!]

Chase's mind ran through her own team, and she could think of two Pokemon that could use the training. "Well, I've got six. So whatever works with you I can work with," she replied. The girl was somewhat excited over a battle, even so late at night. Though she did a great job of hiding that little number.

DRAKE SHADDIX

Next to him Rex's flame burned a little brighter, but other then that nothing about the fire pokemon changed. "So we could do two on two, with six." He knew that a few on his team could use some training, and he was eager to get North out on the battle field. He started to make his way over to an battle field, personally not wanting to have a battle in the middle of the room. He kept his pace a bit slower though, since he normally was very brisk in his walking. Next to Rex walked along always looking back at the girl.
