And with night fast approaching Nyx wasn't going to be of any help to her at all ... of course who had heard of a Zubat afraid of the dark, it was unheard of. Apparently fate had decided to play a cruel trick on her when she had won Nyx at the fair, of course that's where she had won the majority of her Pokemon so she shouldn't be complaining~ it seemed Carly was rather lucky when it came to games and such. "Well Rina, what do you say we stop for the night and maybe practice our act hmm~?"Carly sighed before looking down at the Red Castform in her arms. Rina of course didn't mind at all, she was always up for some magic, of course it was more along the lines of what was seen in contests but it certainly looked like magic ... and there was always the little profit that magic shows gave her. Not that she really needed the money right now ... but it was always fun putting the wool over someone's eyes, and then there was the look that a person only made when he'd been deceived ... priceless. Letting Rina go, Carly laughed as the little Castform proceeded to twirl around her head, showering her with Water Gun. "Cut that out Rina! Come on, let's go make a fire first then we can practice OK? Besides the last thing I need is to be wet on top of the sweat ... it's so humid here it's almost suffocating,"Carly laughed before releasing Saito,"Saito, I need help finding some firewood, and then we should set up camp. It doesn't look like we'll make it to town tonight." The Sawk nodded and went looking for firewood while Rina twirled, using Water Gun once again for whatever reason causing Carly to laugh and shriek/squeal as she tried to avoid the water.[/scrolly]

Anastasia was roaming through the jungle, hoping to find some good bugs. Verde walked beside her on the left, and Juliet on the right, and the girl was holding Lavender in her arms. Night was quickly approaching, and that made Ana a little uneasy; although the Scizor, Scolipede, and Wurmple being there with her made it a little better.

However she wasn't seeing much of anything right now, and she let out a disappointed sigh. Suddenly, she heard a squeal, and her blond head perked up, looking around nervously. "What was that...?" The Pokemon looked around as well, ready to protect their trainer.

Slowly, Ana stepped in the direction of the sound, hoping maybe it was a nice Beedrill or something.

Stooooop!"Carly exclaimed, laughing as she lunged for the Castform who simply twirled away, obviously enjoying their little game. By the time Saito came back with said firewood, Carly was soaking wet and Rina was laughing up a storm. Shaking his head, the Sawk arranged the firewood in a fire pit that he made with some rocks he had found along the way. Finally managing to catch the mischievous Castform, Carly laughed and shook her head,"Now look what you've done, I'm soaking wet! Oh thanks Saito, could you help me set up camp? Rina use Ember on the logs please," she said before letting go of the Castform and going over to her backpack. Pulling out the needed camping supplies, Carly turned to Saito and the two of them quickly set up camp while Rina started the fire. Blowing a wet strand of hair out of her eyes, Carly thanked Saito and turned to Rina,"Well, how about we practice some hmm?" she asked the Castform who immediately nodded and twirled around Carly's head. Laughing, Carly shook her head and smiled at Rina, the Castform was certainly a handful at times but one thing was for sure, Rina never made anything boring. "All right then, well first we need to work on our entrance. Use Water Gun followed by Icy Wind while twirling ... and preferably away from me, I'm already wet enough," Carly said before walking a little ways away from Rina. Rina nodded, ecstatic that they were practicing now and started to twirl before using the moves Carly told her to. The effect was astounding, it seemed that crystals were forming in mid air, spinning along with Rina ... and perhaps there was a ... . Was that a rainbow?[/scrolly]

Ana made her way through the jungle, towards the direction of the sounds; she could tell there was someone nearby. And finally, the girl and her Pokemon reached the source of the sounds.

Ana froze, seeing the RED Castform, and the crystals, and the RAINBOW! It was just so cute and the show that went with it was just...amazing!

Ana could do nothing more than stand right out in the open, mesmerized. Her blue eyes sparkled and a grin was on her face. Even funnier than that, the Scolipede next to her had the exact same expression.

Carly was about to tell Rina what to do next when the Castform got sidetracked ... it seemed she had spotted the newcomers and was now spinning around Juliet's head in greeting. Seeing Rina go off on her own suddenly, Carly blinked and turned to see the girl and ... a S...s...scolipede ... .__. that ... was one big bug and well, she certainly couldn't show that she was scared (besides she could always hug Mr. Fluffles later) and both the girl and the ... giant bug seemed to be entranced by something or another. Taking a step forward (though making sure to stay well away from the giant) she smiled, albeit nervously and waved,"H.h.hello~, what brings you here?" Carly asked in a somewhat quiet voice, wishing that her hair was anything but wet and stringy ... but of course Rina had to play and got her soaking wet in the process. Oh well~ at least it wasn't some hot guy that had somehow managed to find her ... lost ... in the forest ... alone ... OK moving on~. Pushing the thoughts aside Carly studied the girl to see what her response would be, though she kept stealing nervous glances at the Scolipede ... seriously, what was that giant doing out here anyway.[/scrolly]

Juliet smiled, eyes softening as the Red Castform floated around her head, still unable to get over that beautiful display that had just been shown.

Ana on the other hand, was still entranced, and one hand lightly pet the Shiny Wurmple in her arms. "I was just exploring, and time got away from me, and...that was really pretty," she said, her voice very soft.

Meanwhile, Verde was unimpressed, and stood off to the side. <Not as pretty as me, hmph...>

I kinda got lost and it's getting dark anyways so I thought I'd camp here for the night." Carly explained, motioning to the camp and Saito who was watching Ana with a wary eye along with the Scolipede and the rest of the Pokemon. Rina laughed at Verde's answer and started twirling again right above Verde before using water gun and icy wind, creating a shower of crystals that twirled all around Verde. Rina was clearly being her hyperactive self again but then again, Verde didn't know that, for all she knew Rina was just rubbing the fact that she was pretty in her face. Seeing Rina's act, Carly literally face palmed and shook her head,"Rina ... ," she groaned quietly,"Whhhhyyyy ..."[/scrolly]

Ana blinked when she was invited to go over by the fire. Since she'd left home, the only warmth she knew was lying on the ground with a blanket and her Pokemon, since she knew nothing about building fires.

"That sounds nice....Thank you." Her voice was still soft and sweet, as she returned Juliet and Lavender. Meanwhile, Verde shot Rina an icy glare, only to be returned as well.

Ana made her way over to the fire, sitting down, maybe showing a little too much skin. But the girl didn't know any better. Her black tank top and matching mini-skirt made her look a little...provocative, but Anastasia was really far from that.

"I'm Anastasia," she told the girl. "And that was really pretty, what the Castform did."

Well ... at least that giant Pokemon was gone, now she wouldn't have to worry about getting stepped on/squashed possibly ... not that Saito would allow that, but one could never be too careful. Smiling at Ana, Carly nodded and motioned for her to follow as she led the way to the campfire, sitting down, Carly noticed Ana's ... revealing outfit and smiled; it certainly seemed they had the same tastes in clothes at least. Looking down at her own white and red mini skirt and lacy short sleeve white and red blouse, Carly couldn't help but chuckle softly. Even on this brisk night Carly wasn't about to dress in something warmer which was probably why she was so close to the fire right now,"Nice outfit,"Carly said before Ana spoke up again,"I'm Carly by the way, or you can call me CJ~. Oh and thanks, it's a little something I've been working on with Rina, still don't have it down quite yet but we're getting there~."[/scrolly]

Ana gave a nod, sitting by the warm fire, and the girl couldn't help but smile. It was so nice, and she couldn't remember ever sitting by a fire like this. Most of her nights nowadays she spent lying on the cold ground with an old blanket and Lavender. "Nice to meet you," she said shyly. "I don't think I could ever do that with any of my Pokemon," she admitted.

It's actually really easy to do ... have you ever heard of Pokemon Contests? It's really just a combination of moves or actions used together to create something entirely new. Like ... Ice Beam while spinning around would create a slide of sorts. What Rina was doing was a simple Water Gun paired with and Icy Wind while spinning, but like I said we still haven't worked out the kinks,"Carly replied before looking over at Rina who had decided that the fire was fun to float around and laughing before looking back at Ana. "Hey you hungry? I don't have much but ... I can see what I can come up with," Carly asked before beginning to look through her bag. In truth the only food that Carly had was Pokemon food and some leftovers from supper at that fancy restaurant, hardly enough for two people though Carly had been prepared to just go hungry tonight. Of course if Ana had any food on her that would suit Carly just fine~.[/scrolly]

Ana blushed lightly. "I really don't think I could think of something like that. I'm not that creative," she said softly. "I just like to collect Bug Pokemon; I hope to specialize in breeding them one day, for money and stuff."

Ana's blush deepened when she was offered food. "Oh, I haven't been long eaten," she replied with a soft smile. It wasn't long ago that she'd dropped by the house, fighting back memories in order to scrounge up what food and cash she could. She had enough to last a little while, plus money to restock later.

But just the memory of that house made the girl pale, and she trembled lightly before shaking it off, thinking happy thoughts as she warmed up by the fire.

"But thank you~" she said brightly.

What was this girl nuts or something? Why would anyone ever want to breed bugs at all they were just so slimey and gross and BIG. The big factor was probably one of the main reasons Carly never liked bugs that much but she had even won a Venonat at the fair but Val was all right so that was fine. When Ana said that she had eaten already smiled,"OK, that's actually just fine because I don't really have much food on me,"Carly said before pulling out the leftovers from the other day. Well ... they weren't really leftovers but they were a random man's lunch before Carly had stolen it so that counted for something. As Carly began heating the food up in front of the fire, she noticed that Ana didn't look so good and frowned slightly,"Are you all right sweetie? Something wrong?"Carly asked in a concerned voice.[/scrolly]

"I'm fine..." she blatantly lied, wiping her eyes. "I was just...cold...and the fire is making my eyes water. It's better now. Thank you." The girl smiled at Carly, hugging herself as she warmed up by the fire. It'd been so long since she felt truly warm, so this was just nice.

She wasn't going to push if Ana didn't want to tell her ... even though Carly's more inquisitive side was now screaming at her to find out what the girl was hiding ... she would just ignore it for now and move on. OK ... ya know if you want to talk just let me know~,"Carly offered in a kind voice. Sure she had just met the girl but Carly wasn't about to just ignore someone when they were hurting and if Ana could possibly help her with her ... research then so much the better~. The food had warmed up by this time so Carly picked up the lunch she had stolen and started to eat it only to fight down the urge to gag; blech mayonnaise >P whoever the guy was had horrible taste. Swallowing the bite, Carly shivered/shuddered and stared at the sandwich a moment before taking another bite. Of course it didn't matter that there was mayonnaise on it, Carly was hungry and would eat just about anything at this point. "So what brings you out here so late?"[/scrolly]

Ana gave a weak nod. "Thank you..." she replied weakly. At the question, Ana froze. "Well, I don't exactly have a home anymore," she replied, shaking. Her voice barely a whisper. "Not since...." Her voice trailed off, and she found herself holding back sobs. She shook her head, burying her face in her palms. "Nevermind...it's nothing," she squeaked.

Sitting upright with a slight frown on her face, Carly scooted closer to Ana and put an arm around her as she continued to speak. When Ana faltered and claimed it was nothing, Carly had to fight back a laugh and simply shook her head before drawing Ana into a hug,"It's all right sweetie ... , shhhh,"Carly whispered quietly,"But I don't think it's 'nothing' if 'nothing' has you this upset ... ? What's wrong ... ?"[/scrolly]

Ana shivered, leaning into Carly as the tears began to flow. "...My....my mother...killed herself....in front of me...not too long back. I....I can't go back there...." She buried her face in Carly's shoulder. "I...I took what I could...and am trying to find my half-sister....like Mama wanted....it was all she asked of me before she pulled the trigger...."

"I ... I'm sorry to hear what you had to go through ... , but ... perhaps I could help you find your half-sister. I'm pretty good at digging up facts myself you know, it's kinda how I make a living you might say~,"she replied in a quiet voice,"Don't you worry Ana, it'll be all right ... you'll see."[/scrolly]

Ana practically clung to Carly, burying her face in the woman's shoulder as the tears started to flow freely. It was true that Ana broke down like this alot nowadays, but she was normally alone. And the human arms around her felt comforting. After several moments, she looked up at Carly.

"You...would? You could...?" The girl smiled, hugging her tighter. "I would love that...Thank you."
