Kurtis then took out two of his pokeballs and called out Adora and his Pontya out. The two where happy to be out of there pokeballs. Pontya started to race around the Meadow laughing happily. Adora mean while went back over to Kurtis who was now sitting next to a rock. She sat next her trainer and cuddled up next to him. Kurtis smiled and petted Adora closed his eyes and just sat there relaxing. If anyone where to come up suddenly it would most likely startle Kurtis. I love days like this.." Kurtis said softly to himself.[/scrolly]

The trees were turning different shades and preparing for winter while the Meadow was shifting its grass and herb populations a bit. Though she'd been there time and time before picking out the herbs and such in the flowers, Nero wasn't there to pick such today. Rather, she was there to let the 'pups' run as they would. Two Growlithe chased each other just ahead of the crossdresser while a third, not a full purebred like his brothers, chased just after them. For now, she had none of her psychics out, and though she would someday make the Growlvee sibling one, he was not one now... It was this fact alone which made Nero feel alone. She needed some time away from everyone and everything, and this was rather peaceful, indeed....However, it was as she was walking that the dark haired ninja stopped a moment as she caught sight of someone laying in the grasses..... hm? Ponyta looked up to see Nero and her Pokemon. " Hm? A trainer? I must tell Kurtis.." The fire Pokemon said and started to trot over to Kurtis. When she got over to Kurtis she lowered her head and nuzzled him. " Kurtis, someone is here." she told him. Kurtis opened his eyes and sat up. Yep there was someone else here. Kurtis blinked held Adora in his arms and stood up. Kurtis looked at Nero for a few minutes before nodding in a greeting but then he started to walk away. " Its no one I think.. We can just move spots." Kurtis said softly and Ponyta just started to follow him. [/scrolly]

M... that was alright. Nero could respect a person's wish to be alone. Starting to walk off in a different direction, Nero moved slowly as the quiet clicks of her heels meeting grass could be heard. However, Dodger, the 'leader' of the three Growlithe didn't let it go that easily. What? Someone was in his new territory? NO WAY! The fire pup's eyes narrowed, and suddenly he was running up to Kurtis and jumping up and down rather quickly barking. The other two Growlithe seemed to 'follow the leader' and did much the same thing. Nero... quite literally face/palmed and started to walk over. [/scrolly]

Kurtis stopped in his tracks and looked down at the three fire dog Pokemon. He just smiled and laughed softly, not scared of them at all. My, my you three are brave ones aren't you." Kurtis said in a good mannered tone not annoyed at all. If anything he was amused a little. Ponyta was not amused at all though. She snorted and stomped her hoof and glared at the Growlithe. "Leave my trainer alone." She said crossly. [/scrolly]

Dodger seemed to brin rather pleased at the compliment and all previous will lost as he wagged his tail and nodded his head. Yep! He was alpha! However, as the Ponyta spoke to him, Dodger frowned and growled a little rather irritated. Francis wagged his tail a bit but then grew somber. Tito quite literally jumped up and licked Kurtis on the noes before grinning happily. After seeing the peaceful reactions, Nero finally stepped forwards. "You three," she called causing all three of the pups to stop and look back at her. [/scrolly]

Kurtis then heard Ponyta getting annoyed. he patted her and chuckled. " Its alright my friend. They mean me no harm." That's when Tito jumped up and licked Kurtis on the nose. That made Kurtis laugh softly again, Kurtis loved pokemon. most never judged people. When Nero spoke, Kurtis turned to look at the young man." Your pokemon are very nice." Kurtis said softly with smile. Ponyta shook her head and sighed. She found them kinda annoying. But she would not say that out loud. Adora who had been sleeping in Kurtis's arms. Woke up then waved when she saw Nero " Axew!" She said in greeting. [/scrolly]

"They're still young.... and need to learn better manners," Nero answered back bending down so that she could be almost at eye level with the fire pups. All three seemed to wag their tails yet stopped as they found themselves stared at by their trainer. After a moment, Nero looked up and stood up again before making something of a bow. "Nero," she stated more or lesss giving what introduction she could. [/scrolly]

He did not mind, he loved baby pokemon. "Well I did not mind at all. I found it rather cute." Kurtis said with a smile as Nero glared down his pokemon. When Nero stood back up gave a bow and said his name. Kurtis returned the bow and smiled. " I'm Kurtis, its very nice to meet you Nero." Kurtis said. [/scrolly]

Though she was unsure of how far she wanted to take this conversation, she didn't want to leave it in an awkward silence of sorts. Shifting her feet a bit, Nero looked sideways at Kurtis's pony pokemon. "Your Ponyta doesn't seem to approve though," she answered back after a moment. Tito wagged his tail again and began to run in a small circle about himself before stopping and then making to run under Ponyta. Dodger, not wanting to be outclassed, ran and dove behind Nero. Poor Francis seemed to panic for a moment unsure of what to do before he finally twisted himself around and hid behind Kurtis. [/scrolly]

They really annoyed her. in fact she was still kinda glaring at them. Kurtis looked at Ponyta and just sighed and petted her again. " Your right, she does not." Kurtis said with a weak smile. Kurtis then looked at the pups just in time to see Tito run around then hid under Ponyta who was not pleased with that. " Hey!" She said and bent her neck to look between her legs at the pup. She then snorted in disapproval. Kurtis laughed softly at his Ponyta and watched as Dodger, dove behind Nero and Francis hid behind him. Again causeing Kurtis to laugh. These pups where just so cute and Adora was also laughing. Finding this to be rather amusing. " My my, lots of energy they have.. They remind me of my sisters Growlithe. Though he is much older then they are. " Kurtis said with a gentle smile. [/scrolly]

Dodger slowly pulled his head out from behind Nero and snickered for a few seconds before barking just behind Nero causing her to mentally cringe just for a moment. Nero did her best to ignore the pup for now at least. Hm? A sister? "They're... said to be good loyal pokemon in the long run... though they all seem... foolish at the moment," she answered back quietly rubbing one arm as she said this. [/scrolly]

" Why you little!!!" Ponyta said. She then moved so she could look right at the pup. " I hope you can run fast little fire pup.." She said. Ponyta was now in the mood to play a little game of chase. Kurtis looked at his Ponyta when she said that and gave a sigh. He sometime wished she did not get so easily agitated. When Nero spoke again, Kurtis looked at him and nodded when he said they'er said to be loyal pokemon. Indeed they are. My sister's Growlithe never leaves her side whenever she has him out. " Kurtis chuckled at the memory. " I'm sure when these pups grow up a little they will be just as loyal as any other Growlithe." Kurtis said with a nod. Starting to seance Nero was unsure about the the little pups for some reason. [/scrolly]

Though his one day full fire form would be extremely fast, for now, he was still somewhat short-legged and moved only moderately fast. Nero looked calmly at Kurtis and nodded silently for a moment. All younglings did grow up, and hopefully that would be what was needed, so to speak. Watching the game of chase that had erupted, Nero blinked a moment and mentally sweat dropped ever so slightly. To try and avert the awkward silence that was once again threatening, Nero looked back at Kurtis. "With a Ponyta.....do you travel a lot?" Nero asked after a moment. [/scrolly]

Well that just made things all the more fun!! Ponyta started to pick up speed. " You wont out run me little fire pup!!" Ponyta called out. Kurtis watched with a smile on his face. Ponyta sure loved to run and race others.. It made him remember when he first met the fire Pokemon back in the east.. Though when Kurtis thought of the east his smile turned to a frown and he shook his head as to shake away those bad memories he just wished he could forget. When Nero spoke again, Kurtis looked at him and smiled once again. But the smile faded when he asked if he traveled a lot because he had a Ponyta. For a few minutes Kurtis looked at Nero with out saying anything. But his kind hearted smile came back and Kurtis nodded. " I used to, but when my sister I came here we fell in love with this place. And made it our home. Well my sister still likes to travel but I just enjoy whats here." Kurtis said some what lieing. Not wanting Nero to ask where he had come from. Kurtis then started to feel something bad was happening. He looked up to see the clouds starting to darken and the winds started to pick up. " Hmm, seems like a storm is starting to pick up... Pity, it was such a beautiful day.." Kurtis said and looked down back at Nero. [/scrolly]

Just a little faster! Come on! However, when the air began to pick up, something in the young Growlvee caused him to stop dead in his tracks. Dodger's ears flicked up and downwards at the feeling of the wind picking up as well. A quiet growl escaped from the pup. Francis did much the same. Nero hadn't needed these cues as the feeling of air moving had caused the hair on the back of nero's neck to stand on end. Though she had heard Kurtis's explanation on traveling, she probably would have asked something if not for her senses now being directed towards something else entirely. Having lived and having been considered a resident of Tree-Top Town, she had learned to heighten her sense. "There's something coming..." she murmured allowing her voice to slide up an octave or two in this. Damn... was that really a twister? The air gush seemed familiar to it, but what... horrid luck... "I.... believe the area should be vacated... if what is coming what I think is coming...." Nero finally stated as her voice slid back down the octave chain. Slowly pulling out three pokeballs, Nero returned her pups rather quickly. Turning towards Kurtis, Nero then started walking diagonal to the air that was now running. [/scrolly]

Then when the pups started to growl as if something bad was going to happen, Kurtis looked at Adora who was still in his arms. She and grew tense and was looking up at the sky, Kurtis then looked at Ponyta who had to jump over Tito who stopped so suddenly. She turned to yell at him but stopped, she felt it two. Something was coming. She then ran over back to Kurtis who petted his worried Pokemon. When Nero spoke and returned his Pokemon, Kurtis decided to return his Pokemon to. When Nero looked at him and started to walk diagonal. Never having to deal with a twister before Kurtis had no idea what was coming. But followed Nero, also walking diagonally to the wind. " What is going on?." Kurtis asked, he was getting a little worried now. The wind was getting stronger then it would in a normal storm. [/scrolly]

As Kurtis asked what was going on, a brown eye slid backwards to regard the man for a moment despite the fact that Nero was continuing to walk. They had to find a hill or something to stand between them and the wind that might lead up to "A twister... possibly," Nero murmured back as she looked around. "We need to find either a place indoors or something tall to block the wind..." she explained. She only had two of her large pokemon with her and wasn't sure even with that that it would be able to block the wind. For now she,d take necessarily precaution. [/scrolly]

He had only been in the west for a year, but he never had had to deal with one till today, Though Kurtis kept himself calm and collected. Nothing would be gained form getting scared or panicking. Kurtis then started to scan the area with his eyes for a place they could hide. But sadly he saw no where they could take cover. " I don't see a place to take cover! We might have to ride our pokemon out of here!" said Kurtis raising his voice as the winds picked up some more. [/scrolly]

Riding pokemon away from the twister could be problematic depending on the pokemon and the strength... She could have a good number of pokemon use Protect again like she had, but the pups were far from trained for that, and her Metagross and Steelix---- oh. Stopping and looking towards a hill, Nero looked then back at Kurtis. "I have an idea," she finally stated still rather calmly. Releasing her Steelix, Nero watched as Semeil came forwards. "Well hellooooooo there gorgeous~" Semeil grinned smiling at Kurtis. Nero nearly face/palmed. "Semeil... would you mind making a hole in the hill there?" Nero asked. The Steelix looked towards the hill and sighed. "Oh honey I swear if I get ANY dirty on me I'll just---oh what was that?" the Steelix stopped and actually started to register the weather. "Oooh dear I see hmmm well we'll fix that right up then mmmkay babycakes? Good good." With that, the Steelix pressed into the hill and dug a hole through but not coming out the other side. Pulling himself out again, the Steelix smiled. "Alrighty there babe, if you need anything else let me know honneh. Momma Semeil's right here~" he smiled. Nero's eye twitched, yet she said nothing before returning him and then looking at the hole made in the hill. "Will this work?" she asked. [/scrolly]
