:'3 So I know what I originally said about relationships vary but I realized this is perfect for a theme I've always wanted to do so you guys get stuck with these names for seven brothers and a little sister~<3 (You can extra-nickname and call them whatever you like, but must keep the "official" name in the bio too. x3) Name: Una Species: White Eevee Gender: Female Ability: Run Away Personality: The baby of the family with seven older brothers, it is a miracle Una was not sheltered to oblivion. Actually, she has a fairly rocky relationship with most of them, being pretty close to the youngest with things getting progressively worse the older they get, save that the fourth- and first-oldest are switched. While Primus is kind of snooty and annoying (though not as much as Secundus or Tertius in her opinion), Quartus terrifies her.
She is actually quite curious and mildly adventurous, and prone to wandering off from time to time. She loves all manners of songbirds, especially bluejays, and likes to think of herself as a 'free bird' as a result. She absolutely despises all forms of chains and leashes, and will attack them on sight whether attached to or intended for her or not. Often enough, though, she is quite content to stay at home and satisfy her curiosity through reading and watching television if available. This has led to a mild fascination with technology, and while paws make it hard to do much, she does understand how many things work and if given proper resources can build some simple things like levers and pulleys and even a few semi-complex ones.
Unfortunately, this has also led to quite a fear of things that cannot be scientifically explained. Religion is one thing, as she can accept that there are simply some forces that can't be seen, but magic! She is absolutely terrified of Psychic-types including her Espeon brother, somewhat unnerved by Dark-types though her Umbreon brother is all right usually, and appalled and mildly enraged by 'magic tricks' that she cannot find the trick behind. Name: Primus Species: Albino Vaporeon Gender: Male Ability: Water Absorb Personality: Primus is the eldest of seven sons. As such, he tries to make quite a point to always be positively dignified and respectable. This seems to work well about half the time, but the other half he just comes off as a bit haughty. Fairly spoiled for most of his life, he expects things to be done for him as simply the natural order of things. While he can get fairly upset when this doesn't happen, it does at least take him a while, as while he is a bit impatient about repeated asking he is pretty good about waiting with only mild annoyance for fair lengths of time, and once he has gotten something he is instantly pleased and never holds a grudge for the time. He is also relatively humble, all things considered. While he wants and expects the finest life has to offer, he is generally good-natured all the same about accepting less and even rather low-quality items and services just so long as it is the best or among the best available from the current source. That is, while he prefers a fine gourmet dinner in several light courses, he will gladly accept a single apple so long as it is the best one in the barrel, and so-on.
Primus is a gifted fighter in terms of both offense and defense. He is not especially fond of fighting and will try not to without good reason. While a little reluctant to admit or show it, he is even fairly generous and kind-hearted and does like to help others if they come to him directly. However, he will readily defend his position or those people and things who earn his respect or affection, as well as fight earn rewards if he wants something badly enough, though he tries not to hurt anyone too badly. That said, if betrayed, he can become momentarily ruthless. When he doesn't want to fight, he is quite skilled at evasive maneuvers, though this goes away quickly enough if he actually gets worked up in a fighting mindset. When he isn't feeling it, though, he will generally slip to the side of an attack- or melt into any nearby water if possible- and refuse counterattack until either the foe acknowledges he is bored with the idea or his trainer finds someone else to pacify the attacker. Name: Secundus Species: Melanistic Jolteon Gender: Male - Straight Ability: Quick Feet Personality: This Jolteon is extremely vain, believing himself to be the most dashing, intelligent, and charismatic of his siblings, as well as their parents's favorite. (In fact, while their mother cares for them all equally, their father finds him annoying.) He also likes to think of himself as charming and chivalrous- a regular Prince Charming, in fact. This is actually spot-on... so long is one is going by Shrek's version of the concept.
One of the few faults even he himself can see is his extreme fear of heights and, more specifically, falling. His youngest brother once pushed him out of a second-story window, which has also resulted in the fear of anyone being behind him in situations that may be at all hazardous. Secundus is the second of seven sons. Name: Tertius Species: Abundistic Flareon Gender: Male Ability: Flash Fire Personality: At a glance, this Flareon comes off as quite a pushover at best and maybe even a bit spineless at worst. He is rather withdrawn and often shy, and seems to be pretty emotionally weak in most senses. However, he does have a certain subtle charm that borders on an art, often but not always utilizing his natural faults as fuel for sympathy. In fact, he is quite the ladies's man (and even kind of a closet perv) and even seems to have something of a gift for seduction with some types of girls. With most anyone, he's a bit of a suck-up, and prefers backing up a chosen 'champion' and riding on his or her coattails over putting in any real work himself. He can and will battle if need be, though he is neither the best nor worst fighter and on rare occasion outright fumbles. He is something of a picky eater- in more an OCD than snooty way- and refuses to drink anything that is not perfectly clear or ingest anything that he believes smells funny. Tertius is the third of seven sons. Name: Quartus Species: Red Espeon Gender: Male - Straight Ability: Synchronize Personality: Generally happy and somewhat easily excited, Quartus the Espeon is both loyal and caring... under the right circumstances. As long as he is in a warm place, he will gladly do almost anything asked of him and enjoys both playing and battling equally, and is good with kids. He is quite confident and happy with himself, even though he knows he is not the prettiest Eon, with thin ears and a bit oddly shaped head. He likes to play off the latter as being due to him having an abnormally developed brain.. which may be closer to the truth than he realizes, given he is extremely intelligent with Psychic powers surpassing the average member of his species (though he is also physically weaker, and only average with non-psychic special powers). He is very gifted with telepathy and can speak to even large crowds with ease; in fact, while he can keep his personal thoughts private easily enough, he has difficulty differentiating telepathy and PokeSpeak as well as limiting himself in general, and usually if he's projecting thought with intent for anyone to hear, everyone can hear.
He simply cannot stand any amount of cold; really, anything below 70 and he starts to complain. Get below 50 and he thinks he's going to die, dramatically flailing and begging for shelter and refusing to go on except to find some. In actual freezing weather he won't come out of his PokeBall, and if forced out retreats immediately. If somehow stuck, he would curl up for warmth and become essentially an inanimate object until appeased. Quartus is the fourth of seven sons. Name: Quintius Species: Spring Umbreon Gender: Male - Pansexual Ability: Synchronize Personality: Perfectly collected under normal circumstances, this Umbreon seems relaxed and unbothered by anything. In reality, he’s a bit of a wimp and just happens to be good at acting otherwise. He will hold up conversation just fine most of the time but when he does happen to slip up in any fashion, he will quickly go into panic mode and likely decide his best course of action is to simply run. Or fight, if he’s more annoyed than panicked. He is a fair battler and absolutely fine with even extreme violence or outright bloodshed. However, he sometimes faints if he sees a cut on himself. He can get scraped, scuffed, busted up, impaled, or whatever, just as long as it isn't a cut. Even scratches and papercuts make him a bit nervous.
He is good with children and adults alike, being able to come up with entertainment ideas in nearly every situation. It is not advisable, however, to introduce him to a reptile of any kind. He will do his best to be polite and will likely fail. For some reason that he prefers not to explain, he has a lingering fear (and as a result, prejudice) of reptiles, be they Pokemon or normal animals. Quintius is the fifth of seven sons. [insert new sprite with these colors here :3] Name: Sextus Species: Indigo Leafeon Gender: Male - Straight Ability: Chlorophyll Personality: This Leafeon can come off as a little bit skittish and edgy at times, but is actually quite the intellectual. He is absolutely terrified of fire and Fire-type Pokemon well beyond just his type weakness, and he will actively flee and hide and refuse to fight any Fire-types he comes against... (unless his trainer can scare him even worse, but even then he's sketchy and nervous and fumbling all the while.)
For whatever reason, he doesn't tend to eat as much as he should and is usually a little underweight, his ribs fairly visible to those who really look at him. ... This really shouldn't be possible considering he "eats" via photosynthesis, but... Actually, though, that's exactly why; due to his fear of fire and by extension heat, he prefers not to spend too much time in the sun, or any on the hottest summer days. He doesn't mind being in the sun as long as it's nice enough weather and just in passing, and he will sit in the sun to get enough nourishment when he's in enough need, but he will look miserable and very twitchy if he has to. This is is also why he comes off as edgy at times.
At night (when he usually stays up), or just when indoors, he is actually quite calm if very quiet. As mentioned, he is rather intellectual, as well as rather thoughtful toward others. He is capable of reading English and actually loves to write poems, no matter how difficult it happens to be with paws! Sextus is the sixth of seven sons. Name: Septimus Species: Shiny Glaceon Gender: Male Ability: Snow Cloak Personality: Septimus is the youngest of seven sons- and, ironically, arguably the most dominant of the lot. The only one of his siblings for whom he strongly cares is his younger sister, while his brothers inspire little but ambition to prove that being the youngest (male) does not make him the weakest. He is very serious and hard-working, even now that his family has been split up and the odds of his brothers seeing his prowess is fairly low. Septimus is very pragmatic in his ambitions as well as fairly lacking in sympathy and desensitized to violence, and disproportionate retribution is an unfortunate side effect of this often enough. Simply striking the wrong nerve when he is in an ill mood can result in a full-on assault. When actually provoked either by threatening him directly or something for which he cares, he is ruthless, and if a conflict ends with blood on his paws, he won't be particularly concerned.
He is in no way a warmonger of any sort, however. In fact, he is quite cunning and skilled at strategic maneuvers, often coming up with creative, unorthodox solutions for even the most unusual problems. He is also quite loyal to his trainer, and will remain so just so long as his trainer seems equally loyal to him, and he is quite happy to offer his brilliant mind as aid if ever needed so long as proper gratitude is offered. Being offered and shown one's loyalty and respect in bulk is pretty well the best way to gain his comradery- even if largely circumstancial and prone to change- no matter who one is.
He fears very little in life, bravely facing whatever comes his mind with claws sharp and mind clear. However, he does exercise a healthy caution of several things, and will stop to think things through if a situation looks to have high odds of inducing injury. If an alternate route cannot be found, he'll simply have to risk it, but he is usually quite good at finding alternate routes. In particular, he is unfortunately not the strongest swimmer, but neither has he ever really had a need to be. As such, while he can swim a little if need be, he likes to avoid it whenever he can out of a [s]fear of[/s] healthy caution against drowning. (Pronunciations are as follows; I hope you all know what a schwa (ə) is. Una: OO - nuh. Just take the L out of Luna. Primus: PRY - məss. Where pry rhymes with fly. Secundus: seh - KUUN - dəss. Where the 'uu' sounds like the 'oo' in woof, NOT like coon or a short u as in hug. Tertius: TRR - shəss. Where trr rhymes with grr. Quartus: K(W)OR - dəss. The w is light and even kind of optional. Quintius: KWIN - (t)shəss. The t is sort of there, but light, and may even be slurred out sometimes. Sextus: SEX - təss. Pretty straight-forward. x3 Septimus: SEP - tih - məss. The t can actually lean toward either the first or second syllable. *shrug* Sixty jillion Awesome Points to everyone who gets this reference without being told. :'3 )
