X3 So while plenty of you seem to be planning actual threads in response to the recent tragedy, I figured this thread might be interesting anyway, as discussion of those chars you don't wanna mess with just yet, and to help everyone keep track of everyone else easier and possibly collaborate on ideas, and possibly to help figure out reactions on chars whose feelings on it aren't immediately apparent to their players. (For example, occasionally when chatting with Jay some topic comes up which prompts one of us to be like "Oh wow I don't even know how ___ would respond to that" and the other one can make a pretty accurate guess, getting an "Oh lol that's so right!", etc. x3)
So.
What do all of your characters think, guys?
----------------------------------------------------------------
Alaric is... pretty torn up about it, and terrified for all the people he knew in the capital. Once he confirms the most important among those are okay, he's just kind of going to be in a daze of 'how did this happen' for a while, not really so much mourning the losses of others so much as he's just shocked and concerned for what could follow. It may eventually spark him to get off his ass and start seriously trying plans he once made to try to rise up among nobility, but that remains to be seen.
Delilah's going to mourn her new favorite nature-y shop but be grateful for the fact the damage was so relatively limited. It's going to intensify her hatred for nobility and make her even more distrusting of them to a point she may even hesitate to use some of them anymore, though not enough to dissuade her entirely, because she's going to know she hasn't HEARD anything about Rebel involvement and refuse to believe any in their ranks might have done something like that. Overall she's going to go off and on with little spurts of sudden depression because there's bound to have been at least a few people she knew at least injured if not killed, but for the most part it won't phase her that much given her general mindset that this is a necessary part of war and the end result will make it worthwhile.
xD; Kali is going to be more torn up about the fact she and Yue will never get to go to the clock tower now since he suggested that once a long time ago and then they never did. For the most part she'll be like "well that sucks" for everyone, but more pissed that the main shop is closed for so long and rolling her eyes at everyone and their stupid war, and then she'll just get right back to work not really caring about the outcome as long as her little world is fine.
X3 And I'll type more later.

Faith is going to nothing short of flip out and immediately call her brother for the first time in forever to make sure he's all right. After confirming that he was well away from the bombs, she'll break off contact again, just confusing him all the more and making him more suspicious and concerned about what she may be doing out there. What little empathy she has left for the average person shows through in the fact that this act of slaughter enrages her to the point that she has random fits of violence for weeks after and gets banned from a few of her favourite bars and alienates a few of her acquaintances as a result. Her tendency to blame everything on nobility will take the helm in her thinking and cause her to become all the more bloodthirsty and dangerously reckless on the job...but only when she's working alone.
Bianca will have it the worst, as her store is on the fringes of the carnage. None of her pokemon, pets, or customers, nor herself, got out without anything more than mild to moderate injuries, but a great deal of her non-pokemon merchandise and belongings were destroyed. She's forced to try to cut her losses and set up shop in a different city, and is shaken up and sent into a mild depression by the incident for a long time, cutting ties with a lot of her friends and spending even more time drinking and pursuing one night stands in a misguided attempt to pull herself out of it.
Amy will have her criminal and Rebel hatred shoot through the roof, and possibly start heavily drinking again. She'll become more violent toward criminals in her work to take out her rage on them (though her motto is still 'bring them in alive'), and possibly start going after bigger-time targets, having been more or less a bottom feeder before.
And I will type more about others later.

*sucks in air* here we go >>
Alvaro: would probably be surprised and actually wanna go see the wreckage. x3; He'd probably debate body snatching depending on his mood. As any sort of after shock, he'd just go on with life with a sort of 'shrug' attitude.
Jack: I see him being pretty thankful that he wasn't in the area. I'm debating killing Logan in the explosion, but if not, Jack would probably be a bit paranoid and debate actually taking some sort of side in the war only for Third to note that they were already on a 'team' theirs. If Logan died, Jack would mourn for like... ever xD; and just be easily pissed/moody for a while and ....possibly letting Ripper take control for a bit.
Felis:.....is going to be a mess, plain and simple 'x3. His general inability to let the past go will burn and tattoo him mixing the general 'failure' with that of not being able to do anything when Forest Castle burned. xD; Thus for a while he'd just cry for a few hours after seeing it on TV. He'll probably be unable to sit down and pace up and down Forest Castle before finally rushing over to try and help with the relief efforts or something.
Gwen: is about to flipshit 'xD. And in the chaos of her forceful panicking and worry about Tray possibly being attacked by the rebels (seeing as she assumes it's a rebel attack), she'll probably start stockpiling guns 'x3
Haii: ._. I'm... actually not fully sure .-.
Ieri: will probably stop his search for the queen to help with the relief efforts. He'll blame the rebels and the gangs seeing them as the source of the chaos, and if he could become even more of a loyalist than he already is, he'd be more so.
Ilya: 'x3 will probably cry about all the shit she could have bought while down there that she wouldn't get a chance to do so now.
Indiana: Indi'd have a pretty bad reaction to the news. He'd feel bad for all the people that died in the explosions and scold himself for not having the equipment with him to save their lives. He'd actually probably start a rather interesting 'gang' of doctors so to speak >_>; oddly...
Jayme: is going to flat out break. Given that he had just started his apprentice-ship under Miguel in order to save and protect people only to watch destruction right in front of him, it would be a blow to everything he had been trying to establish. Because of this, he'd probably break down and cry. After that, he'd probably rush to help the relief efforts only to catch sight of a few corpse and totally crack. x3;

Ari: The boy is absolutely crushed as his mother has died in the incident. He also mourns all those lost in this act of senseless violence. Though He is conflicted as to which side should be taken. He is a rebel who hates the nobles , but he doesn't think they could have stopped it. The boy is young and as such can't make a valid decision just yet. However with time will come his answer.
Hope: Enraged to say the least. He believes that this could have been prevented if era had some kind of law enforcement. So that is just what he is going to do. Hope will be making his own crew to oppose the criminal acts of era. This crew is solely meant to eliminate gang member's.
Van: Is the saddest he has ever been; Not only having his mother die , but one of his best friends as well. Van kept strong until he passed by what used to be the clock tower. This was his spot he would come here everyday to eat lunch. The man had been coming here his entire life so it was quite a blow. Van's Hatred for the nobles is at an all time high. He will not hesitate to kill a noble anymore.
Mike: Is in pretty bad shape seeing how he was in a store when the bomb wen't off. Although not hit by the explosion , but the roof did cave in on him. Mike had protected a little kid from some harm , but the kid was hurt none the less. Mike has lost consciousness and has not regained it just yet.
Ty: Has left to go aid central. The man knows this was an act of terror and is trying to figure out why someone would do this. His personal belief is that it was radical rebels. He will still remain loyal to Ilya and other nobles.

Garci, while initially ambivalent towards the war, realized the implications of these bombings. He had been to both the Commerce District and the Clock Tower. He will be, however, feel absolutely blessed that he wasn't in the Commercial District that Saturday. In all likelihood, he'll return to the Clock Tower and mull things over, realizing that its sudden ceasing must have been a symbol of order subsequently ceasing in the region, and its destruction only meant a descent into chaos. He would like to still be an observing figure, a foreigner who came to - or rather, was forced to come to Era, but he knows that he might end up being dragged into either side. Prior to this atrocity, he had been sided halfheartedly with the Rebels, and is therefore more likely to sway to their side. However, unwilling to hear any of the arguments that political parties and the media has, he feels he cannot truly side knowing that the true assailant is unknown. Furthermore, he will also likely continue his wanderings far away from possible battlegrounds, and may even flee to the desert if he sees it necessary.

Xavier: Will initially not believe it, but after accepting the truth (whether it be by convincing or seeing the destruction himself), will automatically link the deed with the Rebels, having seen their violent methods in the past first-hand. If anything, he will be more angry towards the Rebellion, and it may just be enough to push him onto the Nobles' side and take a more active role against them. He will also be worried for those he holds dear, and check up on everyone just to soothe his paranoia.
Felix: At first, his reaction will be to try and loot and plunder any abandoned shops for spare cash. Already being desensitized to the conflicts within Era, he really could care less about who did what, that is... until he discovers the explosion killed one of his darling cats, whom had been wandering about that day (This is still being debated, however, because I am too kind of a soul). If I do go through with this idea, Felix will be... distraught, which is never good for someone already so far-gone. He may even snap and go ape-shit crazy on anyone that comes near him... Felix the mass murderer? Who knows...
Ryuu: Ryuu will have been working on a suit for a customer (most likely Lance) when the explosion took place. He didn't investigate the sound of the blast however, being too preoccupied in his work (time is money!) and figuring it was just a battle or something. After finding out the truth, however, he will be... well, shocked for starters. And scared, being the generally timid guy he is. He was never one for violence, however, and will find it hard to take active part in the war... however, he will offer help to those families that need it, in any little way that he can.
Jacob: For some reason or another, doesn't really seem to care... or so he claims, anyway. He feels this incident is awfully convenient and may use the confusion to his advantage. How? Only time will tell...

(For the record, guys, you do know there is a difference between "Noble supporting" and "loyalist", right? The prior supports the system of nobility in general and may or may not want a direct monarch (some could be content with power divided among the dukes). Loyalists specifically want the old royal blood back where it "belongs"- usually Alice though some might have even been fine with Nolan and most would be willing to try any other royals too.)

OK so Elayne is still not quite sure what all of her chars will think of this but here it goes
Elayne: Considering she's more of a bleeding heart than anything and the fact that she was there the day before is very distraught over the whole thing. Honestly the girl doesn't know how she keeps going given the hellish year she's had thus far and of course seeing Felis' breakdown didn't help matters. Her worry for others outweighs her own grief and thus far seeing those she cares about safe is the only thing that's really keeping her on her feet though who knows exactly how long this will last. Believing that the rebels had a hand in this has forced Elayne to take a side and though she is still reluctant to go home (and face her witch of a mother) she will step up and do what she can to help those in need.
Sofia: Depending on how Sofia hears about this event happening, she will no doubt have questions and will pepper any poor soul that should happen to cross her with them. Needless to say the little girl who hates seeing anyone sad will be beside herself if she happens to come across the carnage and will cling to Harvey or anybody she knows and just cry her little eyes out. Any refugees she finds Sofia will make her mission in life to cheer up and be happy >8U because sadness isn't good of course! Of course she'd be worried about her own parents because .___. OMG THEY MIGHT HAVE BEEN THERE HARVEY LET'S GO DXXX
Miguel: Is pretty much seeing red right about now, furious that anybody, rebel or otherwise would take life so recklessly. Miguel is not naturally a violent man but after seeing the carnage on television would have gone right out to find who had done such a thing if not for Rosa. Thankfully he doesn't have very many people he knows in that area and thus isn't worried about them ... until Jade shows up on his doorstep (quite literally) and bringing the reality of what happened to all those people crashing down on him. Though he is thankful Jade isn't hurt, Miguel is still tense about the whole thing and wishes he could do something to help. Who knows this may lead him to actually doing something about it as a count that is his rightful title by birth.
Vicki a.k.a. Vengeance: Wouldn't have cared less if Jack hadn't been in the middle of it to be honest though seeing the corpses did strike a chord deep within her upon seeing the carnage. Seeing Jack in the middle of such chaos though made Vicki snap and as a result her normal stoic nature disappeared ... perhaps never to be seen again though some echo of it may still remain. With Jack at the forefront of her mind Vicki cared for little else until she was certain that he was all right and even still is loathe to leave his side (not that she could if she wanted to anyway considering her condition). As for the future, Vicki rarely, if ever thinks ahead (for why worry over something that may not be) and is just taking it one day at a time.
Jalicia: Where do I even begin .... ehhh considering Jalicia's shop AND living quarters are in the commercial district she's pretty badly beat up. This on top of losing her entire family save her youngest brother (and for all she knows her best friend) is going to make her a mess in such a way Elayne doesn't even know how to begin to explain but will try anyway. Normal talkative Jalicia will be gone, leaving Jalicia a shell of her former self though her friends and brother keep her hanging on even if it's just barely. Really all Jae wants to do at this point is curl up into a hole and die but then that would mean the monsters who did this have won and Jae most certainly won't stand for that. Emotional to the extreme, Jae will probably shift from anger to depression rather quickly and without warning or will simply sit in one place and stare out the window (or into space) like the life has just been sucked right out of her. Jae still has the delusion that her former fiance would never hurt her or her family (even though he hurt her in the worst possible way) and thus blames the gangs for this and is more determined then ever to get them off the street. Of course the tragedy really has her on the fence considering rebels and nobles (though she still clings rather hard to the rebels because of her ex) she might be swayed to support the nobles if they step up and do something about this mess.
Carly: Is rather stunned and shocked about the entire thing and can't believe she was just THERE yesterday arguing over a Zebstrika of all things. Carly will probably run straight to Lyall and demand answers before dissolving into tears as she realizes the horror of what happened. Considering Carly lost everything and everyone she cared about when she was young will make her realize all the more what others are going through and want to help even if in just little ways. Of course the entire thing has scared her something badly and will probably make her cling to Lyall (and everyone else close to her) all the more, terrified as she is about losing them.

From the top!
Yukiko won't think the nobles had their hands in the bombing itself (though she won't rule out the possibility), but will look back and see that they did little (compared to what she knows they likely could have) to help not only fix the damage but find the perpetrators. Of course, this will come in hindsight, when she's not starving and malnourished and thankful that she could go into a shelter without shame to get a hot cup of mystery soup and a blanket so she didn't have to eat/sleep in the trash.
Flora has no idea wtf to think. With all these conflicting ideas about who's to blame she's like "Meh. That really sucks." Then she closed out of that tab on her computer and did other things on the internet instead.
Soleh thinks that this shit needs to stop and is ready to take down whoever's responsible. She's been leaning towards Rebel so she's likely to try to help them, though if it becomes evident Rebel forces were to blame for it she'll a) feel betrayed and b) attack them with a vengeance.
Whitney was unfortunate and was near the area of the blast. Xe was hospitalized with burns and other injuries. However, Xe has no real insurance, and is also having problems because Whitney defines xirself as neither/both male and female (while most of the time it's just to mess with people, it has become xir identity as well) and doctors don't tend to do very well with anything regarding the trans* spectrum.
Rosemary is trying to poke around for clues as to who did this, wondering if she can deal with them.
Faye's apartment was very close to the shop, and was completely destroyed. She was out and about when it happened, so she and her Pokemon are all fine, but she is currently in the Shelter. She was struggling to pay back student loans to begin with, and now she'll be even further in debt. Despite her practical personality--that too much emotional whatever gets in the way of doing shit--she's starting to fall into a depression.
Layton still blames the Rebels for the chaos, and thinks that whether or not they were behind the bombings, they are the reason they happened indirectly. He thinks someone needs to take the throne and restore order--he would prefer Alice, though he's beginning to think he'll settle for any Noble with a good head on their shoulders.
Skye is still a "fashionable rebel": she lives in northern Orre and only travels to Era to train and such, and is only tangentially affected by goings-on. She is severely put-off by the shop's closure, though. Fuck those bombers, killing her shopping time.
Nep and Eq and Jade I may type up later but they're still WIP so /shrug
