An entrance to the cavern found! (Open/Mod)

Alex walked down the small path and casually glanced up at the sky. The clouds were covering the sun and a cold mist could be felt coming down which made it feel uncomfortable and depressing. He had heard about an opening along this path that went into a very beautiful cavern that the locals call crystalline cavern. Which is supposed to be lit up by mysterious crystals and also it is home to a lot of rare Pokemon that Alex was interested in adding to his team. After a few minutes of searching he finally came upon the opening just where the locals said it would be. To his surprise the opening was really fairly large and grand once you started to observe it closely. He pulled out one of his pokeballs and released Jasmine his Dratini. She came up to Alex and caressed his leg and started making small noises. "Hey Jasmine are you ready to help me find some more friends to add to our team?" The small dragon seemed to smile and make a gesture as if she were ready to follow him anywhere. They set off deeper inside the cave which was oddly cold but was still better than the cold mist falling outside. He would normally have Frost out but he figured that Jasmine needed some quality time and she could get into the water and search for Pokemon. They began there search deep inside the cavern walking along a small river hoping to see anything but Alex was searching for a certain Pokemon and he had heard rumors of it being spotted inside this cavern. This information made him very excited so he kept his eyes and ears peeled for any sign of movement while Jasmine followed happily close by.

The cavern was quiet but peacefully though. The sound of gentle moving water was all that could be heard. However, if someone happened to look down into the water, he could see a few Wooper swimming by with the current. They seemed unfazed by the human and his pokemon in the cave, and honestly they were just probably outright oblivious. Meanwhile, a Mudkip far off was sitting by the water's edge and didn't... seem to be moving... just sitting there like some sort of obscure stone statue. Hm....

Alex walked along the path and could see several Wooper swimming along side them in the river. Jasmine looked down at them and waved her tail at them as if saying hello. Alex smiled and waved at them too, they were cute but they weren't what he was looking for exactly so he left them alone to swim off to where ever they were going. He continued along the side of the river and spotted the Mudkip just sitting there staring off into space which made him wonder what in the world could be so interesting. He looked in the direction that the pokemon was staring and couldn't see anything. He looked at jasmine and she looked up at him and gave him the impression that she didn't know either. They walked up to him and he squatted next to the Mudkip and said, "Hey what are you looking at?". Jasmine came up to his other side and put her face in front of its. "Hey are you alright you seem to be staring off into space there?" Jasmine said as she tilted her head slightly at the little water pokemon.

The Wooper in question had waved their tales back playfully before continuing on again. Well at least they were friendly~ As the Mudkip was approached, he didn't seem to move at all, and even when the Dratini asked what he was looking at, he continued to stare into space for a good few seconds before his pupils grew and it seemed that he actually noticed someone was there. "Kip!" he stated as a general greeting. <I'm looking at...uh...uh...... oh there was something there!> the Mudkip explained in poke-speech as he made a motion into the water towards the other edge of the cavern. <It was really sparkly and I just sorta... stared...heh...> Well... that was interesting, somewhat, eh?

Jasmine smiled as the small pokemon seemed to finally break his attention away from the object long enough to talk to her. *Well whatever it was it must have really caught your attention or was something amazingly shiny.* She looked over in the direction that the mudkip had said it was and she couldn't see anything there. She motioned to Alex that there was something in the water over there. Alex got up and started looking for anything moving in the water but he just wasn't able to see into the dimly lit cave that well. Alex said to Jasmine, "Why don't you dive into the water and see if you can find whatever it was that was just there?" Jasmine nodded yes back to Alex and she dove into the water and began to swim into the direction of where the Mudkip had said it saw something shiny. While Jasmine was going to investigate Alex decided he would stay with the little pokemon and see if he could scan the surroundings for anything else in the area.

Within the water, in the direct angle to where the Mudkip had been looking, a rather interesting shimmering stone could be seen. The lights in the cave distorted the look of it, and thus it flickered only a few times per second, yet it was a rather gorgeous opal color.

Meanwhile, as the young man looked around, he would see a pile of rocks off to one side of the tunnel area. A very slow moving Shuckle could be seen lifting up rocks and slowly placing them in the pile very carefully for some meticulous purpose. Farther off, a Wynaut could be seen chatting quietly with another and using his ears to convey some sort of message.

Jasmine briefly saw the stone shimmer in the water giving her a good idea as to where it was. She examined the stone for a few moments, then finally grabbing it in her mouth and taking it back to Alex. While Jasmine was in the water he saw a few other pokemon playing around further away. The appeared to be Wynauts. They were cute but he wasn't very interested in them so he continued to look around the cave for anything else when he spotted the Shuckle sorting rocks into a pile. He thought for a few moments whether he would want a Shuckle when Jasmine came back out of the water holding a shiny stone in her mouth. The stone was a pretty opal color and he didn't know what it was right off but he decided to put it into his backpack for safe keeping. Jasmine smiled as Alex patted her on the head, "That was a good job Jasmine now could you do me a favor and see if you can spot any other pokemon in the water while i search on land?" She nodded up at him and quickly jumped back into the water. Alex yelled at her, "Stay close to me and don't go to far alright!" Jasmine poked her head out of the water and made a sound *Dra ti ti ni!* and nodded back to him after ducking back into the dark cold water. He looked down at the Mudkip and said, "Hey if you want to come with me you can. I'm just going to explore this cave but i wouldn't mind the company." He started off down the path and looked around for anything interesting.

The Mudkip watched as the Dratini retrieved the stone, and something startled came to his face. Hey wait a minute that was what he had been staring at. Watching wistfully as the man took it from his pokemon, the Mudkip frowned before slowly turning his head to one side. Well... maybe if he followed him, he'd get the stone back... or something. Under the water, another Dratini could be seen swimming around and playing with what appeared to be a Wooper who was also swimming. A Clamperl could be seen at the bottom of the river closed and sleeping.

Meanwhile, on the surface, a Cleffa could be seen walking with a Wooper

Jasmine looked around in the water and spotted a Clamperl sleeping at the bottom of the river and she silently giggled to herself. *I think I will let it rest and i don't think Its what Alex is looking for in the first place* She continued to examine her surroundings when she saw another Dratini playing with what looked to be a Wooper.

Jasmine held back the urge to go over there and start playing with them but she knew that she had a job to do and she wasn't about to disappoint her trainer. She swam on down the river and kept looking for anything else that might be swimming along the river while keeping an eye out for Alex to make sure he wasn't in trouble and that she hadn't gone to far from him.

Alex looked back behind him and noticed the little Mudkip following close behind him witch put a smile on his face. After a few minutes of walking he finally decided that it would be easier having one of his other pokemon out doing the talking for him since Jasmine was off looking by herself. He stopped and thought for a minute before grabbing one of his pokeballs. He opened it and a Ghastly popped out, she was new to his team and he thought he should spend some time with her.

"Alright Evangeline lets see if we can find any interesting pokemon."

She looked at him with a big grin on her face and said, "Ghaaasttlyy!" in her pokemon voice.

He looked on ahead and saw a cute little Cleffa walking with a Wooper. He stood there and thought about trying to befriend the Cleffa but decided that he would leave it alone and let it stay here with its friends. He pushed onward with Evangeline close behind, followed by the little Mudkip who seemed to be glaring at him for some reason.

Evangeline looked down at him and said, *Why do you keep looking at him like that?*

[Jay]

The Mudkip in question looked at the Gastly that had been released form the ball and turned his head to one side realizing that he was being addressed. <Well... he has the stone crystal thingy!> he answered back as if this were extremely easily understood even to one who had come on later in the adventure of sorts.

Meanwhile, not too far from where Alex was walking, a Whismur could be seen looking around with a mildly confused expression on her face... as if Wimsur had any other expression, really but she looked more confused than normal. Hm... now where had that little one gone? She was sure he had been right here, but then he just disappeared...hm. Farther off, behind a rock, yet another Cleffa could be seen looking up over the rock and laughing quietly to himself. Suddenly the sounds of wings could be heard, and a Woobat came flying through the cavern. However, instead of blue, it was an odd shade of green... oh hey a shiny, possibly?

Under water, a Slowpoke could be seen more submerged than she normally would have been. This was what came of reacting too slowly to prey catching onto her tail: she got pulled into the water as the prey tried to get away.

Evangeline looked down at the little Mudkip and smirked slightly and said, *Oh well I didn't know about the stone until just now when you told me. Anyway I'm sure he will give it back to you at some point so don't worry about it and just enjoy the adventure.* She then smiled at the Mudkip and than floated over to Alex's side and licked him on the side of the face like she did when they first met.

Alex jumped from the sudden chill that went up his spine as the little ghost licked him. "Please don't do that you know how much it freaks me out when you do it." She looked at him and made a really big smile and just kept floating beside him. He looked down behind him at the little Mudkip and noticed that he just kept staring at his backpack but he just couldn't figure out why at the moment.

He looked back ahead of him and noticed the Whismur who seemed to be troubled by something even though they always looked that way. He decided to leave the little thing be and head on through out the cavern. He saw another Cleffa and began to wonder how many were there in this cave, I mean this was like the third or fourth one so far.

The different colored Woobat caught his eye and he decided to try and befriend it. "Evangeline can you go up there and talk to the little Woobat flying through the air for me?" She nodded and began to float up toward it and soon was in front of it.

*Hey can I talk to you for a moment, I want to ask you something?*

Meanwhile while Alex was doing all of this Jasmine was busy searching for pokemon under the water when she saw a Slowpoke struggling with something that had a hold of her tail. She shouted, *Hey hold on, I'm coming to help you!* she screamed. She got to her and grabbed on too her front right leg and started to help her from being drug farther down.

[Jay]

The Mudkip frowned a little when the Gastly answered that he should just enjoy the adventure. Honestly he didn't really want to go on an adventure. He just wanted his rock back ._. Ah well... Hopefully the man would give it back soon. Thus the determined little Mud-fish pokemon followed after the group ever still.

The Woobat whom had been focused solely on flying through the cave was forced to stop suddenly when the Gastly came right in front of him and flipped his form about a little trying to calm down. <UH.... sure dude what'cha need?> he asked not even really caring what gender the Gastly was anyways and simply referring to it in general.

Thankfully with the help of Jasmine, the Slowpoke was able to pull herself back up onto land, and what had been originally dragging the water psychic down came to the surface as....a Quagsire?! The pokemon in question opened his mouth and released the tail he had been holding on to in order to sink back down into the water again.

Evangeline looked at the woobat with a raised eyebrow and said, *Um I'm actually a girl, dude.* She already started to dislike the pokemon for the remark and thought to herself (Do I look like a guy and if so why didn't anyone tell me this!) She shook her head and looked back at the pokemon in front of her and said, *Any way my trainer thinks your really cool and wanted too talk with you for a minute if its no trouble for you?* She continued to float there while waiting for his answer.

Meanwhile Alex stood there staring at Evangeline and the woobat and felt two eyes peering at him from behind. He looked back and stared down at the mudkip that had been following them since the entrance. His eyes seemed to be glued to his backpack and to where the stone from earlier was sitting. It finally dawned on to him that he was after the stone from earlier. He pulled his backpack off and reached for the stone and handed it down to the little mudkip and said, "Is this what you had been wanting little guy?".

Jasmine laid down on the bank next to the slowpoke and breathed a sigh of relief as she watched the quagsire slowly sink into the water. She looked over and said, *Are you alright? It didn't hurt you did it?*

[Jay]

The Woobat turned his form to one side and stared at the Gastly before turning upwards again and shaking his entire body. <Sorry 'bout dat> he answered back at the first comment before looking confused at the second. Looking towards the human, the Woobat sweat dropped and looked back at the Gastly. <Why?>

The Mudkip in question livened considerably when the stone was produced again, and he quickly stood back on his haunches and extended two arms outwards to the stone before taking it and snuggling it rather quickly. Yay! Stone<3

The Slowpoke stared at Jasmine for a few seconds before shaking her head slowly. <I'm..........alright> she assessed extremely slowly as was part of her general demeanor anyways considering her species and all.

She smiled at the woobat as he apologized to her for calling her a dude. When he asked her why she made a look like she was thinking hard and then smiled, *I guess he wants to talk to you so he can ask you if you want to come along with us and stuff.* She just floated there with a big grin on her face and waited for his response.

Alex let the little pokemon grab the stone from his hand and he watched as he snuggled it with a large smile on his face. He smiled and petted the pokemon gently on the head, "You know if you want too you can come with us and maybe along the way you can find other stones that are even prettier than that one." Alex pulled out a pokeball and held it in front of the mudkip wondering if he would join him or not.

Jasmine looked at the slowpoke and smiled, *Well as long as your alright then i guess i can leave you here and go back to what i was doing before i spotted you in trouble.* She jumped into the water and lifted her head back out and said, *Just be careful next time and try not to let that happen again.* She dived into the water and continued the search.

[Jay]

o3o' Uh... come with? The Woobat frowned a little and seemed to turn his form from one side to the other as he thought about this. <Well, ya see... I was just going down the tunnel here and really have to get to a certain place ya see...> he said before slowly breaking off as though unsure if the Gastly really did see or not considering his wording was somewhat poor there.

The Mudkip listened to Alex and seemed to stare in what could only be described as awe. Really? More stones even prettier than this one? Looking down at the stone and then up at Alex before once again repeating, the Mukdip broke into a huge smile and clapped his forelegs together and nodded before slowly reaching out and poking the pokeball before disappearing inside. The ball rang in capture rather quickly after that.

Held Item: Random Stone - this shimmering rock has no potentially interesting properties to it, but for whatever reason, this Mudkip likes it quite a lot and thus keeps it with him wherever he goes
Personality: This Mudkip is a bit of an odd one, really. He stands very still most hours of the day and tends to stare blankly at things until something calls his attention elsewhere. One such instance of this is when his trainer calls him or when someone startles him. He's actually very mellow, not one to start trouble but one to generally go with the flow of things. That being said, he seems to have a fascination with shiny rocks and stones and can get easily distracted by them when they happen to catch his eye the right way. When in battle, he is prone to using long range moves before quickly running away in order to not get hit.

The Slowpoke seemed to look towards Jasmine and slowly nodded her head before going back to fishing once more. Farther upstream, a Seel could be seen swimming rather blissfully followed lightly by a Feebas.

Evangeline raised an eyebrow at the woobat who seemed to be in a hurry and also trying to dodge the conversation and be on his way. She let out a sigh and said, *Well its alright if your in a hurry to go somewhere, well take care of yourself then.* She said this as she began to float back down toward her trainer. As she came down she could see that the little mudkip had joined them after he got his rock from Alex's backpack.

Alex picked up the pokeball and placed it in his pocket and then looked at Evangeline who began to float up next to him. "It's alright if he didn't want to come with us, anyway I wasn't really interested that much anyway. I just liked the fact he was unique." He pets her on the head and starts to walk down the path some more.

Jasmine at this time had kept on swimming down the river and also keeping an eye out for Alex to make sure she didn't go too far from him. As she did this she noticed a seel and a feebas swimming together and thought about it for a moment but they weren't what he was looking for either. So she just went on by and waved her tail at them and said hello to be nice.

And with that, the Woobat flew through the cavern once more now that he had no longer been halted by any sort of restrictions.

Farther into the cavern, another Whismur could be seen walking rather slowly parallel with the water. Two Shellder on the other side of the water could be seen lightly splashing one another in a gentle game of play. Farther away from the water and on Alex's side, a Diglett popped up before sinking down into the ground again. Farther on, a large rock being could be seen blocking the passage way. Was that... an Onix? Why yes it was.

Meanwhile in the water, yet another Feebas went by apparently trying to catch up to the other two who were swimming away.

Alex strolled along the path with Evangeline floating beside him and Jasmine in the water not too far off from where he was. He looked around and saw two shellders splashing in the water and silently laughed to himself. He caught a glimpse of a diglett but it soon disappeared into its little tunnel before he could get a good look at it. He didn't pay much attention to the little whismur walking along the path farther down the cavern since he had seen a couple near the front of the cave. As he walked on down further along he could see something huge blocking his path. As the got closer he was able to tell that it was an onix, the sheer sight of it made him a little excited. He walked up too the large pokemon and said, "Hey do you think i could have a moment of your time please?". Evangeline floated next to him as they both waited for it to give them a response.

Jasmine continued to swim through the water in search of some pokemon that she knew Alex would be interested in. She spotted a small feebas swimming after the seel and other feebas that had just went by. She thought to herself that it must be having trouble keeping up with them. She swam toward it and said, *Hey there are you having trouble keeping up with them?*

[Jay]

One massive eye opened from one side of the rock pokemon and stared at Alex for a few scant seconds before the entire head raised and the long snake appeared to 'stretch' before shaking his form out and looking at the young man before him. "Onix?" he asked. A rough translation of 'yes', in fact.

The Feebas stopped a moment and looked a little worriedly at Jasmine before nodding his head. <Yes... just a little...> he assured as he tried to make himself appear less weak in that particular moment. He didn't want to get laughed at or anything...
