It was Christmas, and though he had all but begged and pleaded her to stay in bed, Nathan found himself unable to convince Amina to skip Adrian's Christmas Gala. He'd managed to get her to put it off for a few days, but once Christmas day hit Amina was adamant. They were nobles, and Amina knew too well what it meant to Nathan to go to such parties and socialize possibly gaining some sort of information in the process. Even if she had been injured greatly those short weeks ago and even though she wasn't completely healed, Ami refused to avoid the ball altogether. If she could walk, which more or less meant if she could use herself to psychically glide on the floor, then she was going to go.
Even though he knew how determined Amina could be, Nathan had still tried his best to get the Gardevoir to consider he health first. However, Amina knew Nathan's ploys, tricks, and arguments inside and out and disarmed him with his own words. Thus, the redhead gave in, and thus, they had both dressed up and were now standing in the hall of Desert Palace walking slowly through a maze of people. Nathan wore a simple black and white tux with a red and green tie calling the most attention to his appearance. Amina wore a thin trimmed sparkling white, red, and green dress that, though simple in design, was indeed very elegant overall. Their colors matched well, and it was rather easy to see how they could be together. This fact was indeed planned out with precision.
'What do you think, Lord Nathan?' Amina asked quietly looking towards Nathan as they walked easily through the crowds. 'Are you glad I forced you to come out?' She chuckled slightly. Nathan looked sideways at her, and the Gardevoir herself fell silent again and reflected a calm look.
"I think we should have stayed home," the redhead answered back in a calm controlled voice that was barely above a whisper anyways. "You're..." Amina sighed and rolled her eyes.
'Fine. I'm fine, Nathan' Ami projected at Nathan rather sternly before smiling softly. 'All these minds are so... interesting....' Ami commented after a few seconds. 'There are so many thoughts, but a lot of them are thinking the same thing....' She hummed softly.
"If it becomes too much, we can go.." Nathan said quieter still. Amina sighed deeply and shook her head before elbowing her husband gently. Nathan sighed but slowly smiled. "I'm sorry... I just... don't want you hurt, Amina," he sighed. Amina smiled softly and shook her head. She already knew that. They shared thoughts, after all. However, even with him admitting this outright, Amina wasn't going to let them go home just yet. There were too many people to see, too much to possibly do.
