[OOC: On behalf of Adrian Bane, some of her staff team (read: some actual board staff :B) will be judging these contests.
Please post appeals for the Winter Contest here. Participants must be of Ice, Psychic, Fighting, Steel, or PLAIN Normal types. (Read: no birds, Bibarel, Deerling, etc.)
Please try to limit appeals to four or five moves. Appeals should be fully RP'd in somewhat glittery detail (but don't make it painful; purple prose should always be handled with great care if it's used at all). If you aren't sure what you're supposed to be doing, please look into anime contest appeals rounds; it's putting on a little show with Pokemon moves used by a single Pokemon for a crowd.
This and the Autumn Appeals will run simultaneously, but in-RP they are held on two separate days-- we'll say "Sat, Dec 17" for fall and "Sat, Dec 31" for winter. OOC, they'll start when this is posted and run through Jan 31. Starting in February, the top four contestants from each contest will compete in the Fall VS Winter Contest, which IC will be held on "Sat, Jan 14".
For Winter:
Entry Prize: 1 Token (per character entered)
Fourth Prize: 1 Token + $100 + Move on to FvW Contest
Third Prize: 5 Tokens + $500 + Move on to FvW
Second Prize: 7 Tokens + $1000 + Move on to FvW
First Prize: 10 Tokens + $1500 + Move on to FvW
You may enter once per character with as many characters as you want, but for mysterious reasons that may or may not make logical sense IC (:B), only one of your characters will win more than an entry prize... unless this completely flops and less than four total players enter. x3;; Heh.
(If someone's really good, their characters might 'win', and it'll be posted in order for bragging rights, but prizes will be bumped to the runners up until four separate people have won, and all but one character belonging to a single member will mysteriously not be able to make the FvW contest. x3 Also, if you do technically "earn" more than one prize slot, you can choose which prize to take. Most would obviously choose the highest one, but if the character you most wanted to win got a lower amount than a char you weren't as excited about, we won't force one over the other. If that made sense to anyone.)
You CAN win in BOTH the Fall and Winter contest, and one character CAN progress from EACH. (If the SAME character of a single player progresses from both, his or her progression slot from one will be given to a runner-up. If the character wins different places in each contest (ex: third in Fall and first in Winter), the progression slot will be given to someone in the contest he or she did worse in (in this example, Fall, since third is lower than first); if the character wins the same place (ex: second place in both contests), a coin will be flipped.
