So I was talking with Kero and we realized that Durant's composition is rather debatable. Since VC has been trying to work on uniformalizing views of all Pokemon in order to keep them played similarly, we thought we'd ask what you think it is.
First of all, note that the Black Dex entry states:
"They attack in groups, covering themselves in steel armor to protect themselves from Heatmor."
Then watch this video of a 3D Durant.
So we know it has SOME sort of armor. But now here's the question: how much, and what is the rest? The possibilities will be listed from least to most armor. Read them all before choosing, and just pick which makes most sense to you.
Option 1-
It's a normal big ant. The middle gray of the body and dark gray of the legs are both a normal insect exoskeleton/shell, and the lightest gray parts are armor.
Option 2-
It's metallic. The middle gray of the body and dark gray of the legs are an exoskeleton made of some metallic material, and the lighest gray parts are thicker extra armor.
Option 3-
It's an ant in full-body armor except for the legs and eye holes, and it's a normal big ant underneath that. Both the light and mid gray are armor, and the dark is normal bug legs.
Option 4-
If you always thought something different than all of these, just tell us. Maybe you're seeing something we don't.

Also, please try to come to your own decision, but if you need to ask someone to help you pick, avoid both Kero and SG. We aren't allowed to discuss the options as we want to see what members think, not see which of us is better at persuading others to agree with her.
