"The Gods of the Onai, [known as the wolves to the human race], Tor and Fenris, have foreseen the utter decimation of their kind. There has been talk among the Fallen, rumors, which have thrown the world of the Gods into panic. It has been said that a fatal disease will bestow itself upon our kind, slaughtering many. Yet, there is hope… A second Vision of Tor’s has depicted her and Fenris’ children finding solace in a new land, a land free of the horrid disease. This land, christened Larentia from Onai mythology, was created by the humans in order to save the Onai. It is a super-biome, where any wolf may live. There are vast deserts, frigid tundra’s, expansive forests…everything an Onai could possibly need.”
In human history, a severe case of canine flu mutated and came upon the wolves, killing off many of them. Those that resisted the disease were taken from their homes and flown to Larentia, a continent that the humans refused to inhabit. They had said that the wolves needed their own room to grow and expand their numbers. However, with so few wolves, there posed a problem. Reproduction did not happen very often; seldom did wolves find suitable mates, and with so few of a breed having survived, their chances of reproducing were slim. The only hope for the wolves would be to reproduce with other breeds, and spawn hybrids…
This was in the past. Now, in the present, times have changed. The first generation of the wolves have bred and mated, creating these hybrid wolves. Each hybrid was to receive a new name, a unique name. They were also to be separated from the original wolves. The humans came in and tracked down the first generation, and flew them back to their previous homes. Now the continent is run by hybrid breeds of wolves, and all is peaceful once more.
The year is 5023, and in the world of the Onai Gods, rumors are spreading once again. A Prophecy has been created; Tor has had yet another vision.
Tor stirred on the soft ground, her white fur darkened with dust. She seemed to be coming out of a trance; many other wolves surrounded her. They all had the same expression on their face: fear. What had she seen this time? Tor groaned quietly and stood, shaking out her beautiful pelt.
“Tor, Tor!” the Onai cried, bustling around and pressing in on her.
“What did you See?” asked one male, a large, hulking brute with sand-colored fur.
Tor shivered, though the air was not cold. “I have Seen…a new Prophecy… Yet, the outcome is good.” She murmured, raising her maw to the sky. “Two wolves will claim land, two packs will be born. They shall all prosper and be happy.”
At this, many of the wolves cheered and howled in their delight, shaking the stars above; even the moon seemed to tremble. Tor herself did not join in with the celebrating – she alone appeared troubled.
Down below, in the Mortal world, the Prophecy was unfolding.
Yet, without the others noticing, Tor whispered fearfully, “For now…”
