Soul Searching at the Bottom of a Bottle (Open)

[KARP KARP!]

The bar wasn't very busy tonight; just a few people scattered about, drinking a little. In the far corner, tossing back yet another beer, was an out of shape, unshaven man with scraggly red hair. His clothes were dirty, and he didn't smell all that pleasant.

That time in Felis's basement had done a number on Kel; he wasn't fit anymore, and he'd failed at stealing a few times. How long had it been? He didn't even know; the man had lost all track of time on top of everything else. The man had no clue where the gang was, or the whereabouts of Sen, but right now, he was starting to question who he even was. So, he'd gone off on his own to do a little soul searching. He drained his beer and put the empty bottle on the table with the other three before motioning for another. Maybe he'd find himself at the bottom of the next one....

Just then, the door to the bar was pushed open, and a purple haired young man wearing a black shirt and an easy red undershirt along with grey slacks His stance was an an angle with the bar, and his line of vision was not in front of himself but behind. "Come on Law, it'll just be one drink...." the voice of the purple haired man was light but almost nagging in nature. "You're usually the one that wants to come... why so glum?" the young man asked as he stepped further into the bar.

Somewhat unwillingly, a blue haired man with almost identical features to the purple haired man whom had just entered save for his hair and his clothing style walked into the bar. His face was more stern than his clone's, and he seemed to be fighting off the urge to sigh. "Do you even remember what you did the last time you were drunk, big brother?" the blue haired man, Law apparently, answered back. Though he was taller and could argue being older, Lawrence wasn't one to fight such things and preferred to use it as an appeal at times such as this.

The purple haired man laughed a little and rubbed the back of his head. "Nope, why?" he asked already knowing the answer that was coming back. Sure enough, Lawrence raised a hand and face/palmed. Lex only chuckled a little in return. "Oh come on, it wasn't that bad, and that's what you're around for isn't it?" he jived a little.

Lawrence sighed and offered something of a weak smile. "Yeah yeah I know, Lex, I know..." Law stated, finally informally introducing his brother to the bar by stating his name. Perking up, the purple haired young man clapped his hands together and seemed to all but skip towards the bar after that. Sighing, Lawrence watched for a moment before looking around the bar itself. Yellow eyes seemed to freeze as they looked over at Kel, and for a brief moment, they narrowed before quickly relaxing again. Pft, I have issues... Law mentally sighed a little before starting over towards the bar where Lex was already ordering.

[KARP KARP!]

Kel's attention was drawn to the twins that entered the bar, and for a minute, he forgot about his own problems. But then, he sighed, looking back to his bottle. He tipped his drink back again, eyes scanning the room.

"Hey, Bartender." The man raised an empty bottle as he looked toward the bar. "Gimme another." The bartender raised an eyebrow. "You haven't finished the fourth one yet."

Kel tossed back the half-full bottle, draining it. "I have now." The bartender rolled his eyes as Kel looked over to Law. Eh, whatever. Those grey eyes stared towards the door, deep in thought. The beer wasn't even helping his problems anymore.

[Jay]

The bartender sighed a little at Kel and shook his head a bit. He was going to have to limit the man here soon, and he wasn't sure if he wanted to. Looking towards Lex and Law, he offered a smile. "Evenin' boys... are ya both old enough to drink?" he asked. The sharp look that he was given back caused the man to falter for a moment, yet after that, a chuckle escaped from both Lex and Law settling the sudden tension as soon as it had come up. Fishing out his wallet, Lex held his identification forwards. The bartender leaned forwards. "Alexander Collins?" he asked after a moment.

Lex smirked a bit and nodded his head. "Most call me Lex though," he answered back returning the ID as quickly as he had produced it. Lawrence chuckled a bit. "And if ya can't tell, we're twins and share a b-day," he explained. The bartender hesitated a moment before nodding his head in understanding. Both young men ordered the same drink: a single beer to which the bartender scoffed but produced.

After that, Lex had turned around in his chair and leaned back on the bar, looking about the room and wondering if there was anyone drunk enough to play with. The man that had addressed the bartender earlier looked big, but he also looked drunk meaning..... Elbowing Lawrence and causing the latter to jump, Lex stood up and started slowly over towards the man only to stop and take a rather large swig of beer for luck before he actually got to Kel. " 'ey mister, ya know drinkin' 'lone's not fun," he called.

[KARP KARP!]

Now that he thought about it, Kel realized he wasn't holding his beer like he used to. Oh well. "I'd say I'm good fer two more, so how 'bout bringin' em both?" he asked the bartender, sighing softly, then looking over at the two men.

"I'll say. Go find me some chick with a nice rack, then maybe we'll talk," he muttered, looking at the one that had walked over to him.

Kel popped open beer number five. "This ain't who I used to be. I used to be somethin' special. Now I'm just old fat and washed up."

[Jay]

The bartender reflected a stern expression but sighed. "One more," was the return statement as the bartender then started to fish out another one.

Meanwhile, Lex blinked a little at Kel's words before laughing a little. "Eh...." was all that escaped him. He didn't want to be around women when he was having a good time. They tended to ruin things and flip his good mood. A particular friend of his hadn't been the kindest to him, and he was starting to believe the entire female species was something to only be used for -heh... well. He wouldn't get into that. As Kel continued, Lex turned his head to one side before finally plopping down next to Kel. "Well shit that sucks," was the full reply.

Meanwhile, Lawrence watched all of this and sighed a little before reaching over and picking up his glass from the bar. Sipping it slowly, he closed one eye but redirected his sight and hearing solely at Lex and Kel. The red haired man didn't seem like someone he wanted to play with, especially his sheer size being taken into consideration, but Lawrence wasn't about to just leave Lex there either.

[KARP KARP!]

Kel nodded slowly. "Yep. I had money; I had friends. On top of the world. I'd walk into a bar alone, and walk out with someone's girl. Have my way and toss her back to the boyfriend. But now I walk in, and the girls walk out..." The man shook his head, not knowing why he was opening up--if that counted as opening up.

Kel started to toss back the rest of his beer, but the "one more" rang in his head. "There was a time when I could take twice this much beer...."

At that time, some random patron turned on the jukebox.

Kel took another sip of his beer. "Irony, you bitch..." Any other night, he'd have found the guy who did that and punched his lights out. But not this Kel. This Kel just clung tightly to his beer bottle.

Lex's eye shot in the manner that Lawrence's hand, and it was questionable as to whether this was just some sort of genetic habit or something more. "Geeze look what'ah have to look forwards to," he laughed a little before sighing and taking another swig of beer. The taste was actually starting to burn to the 'new' drinker of sorts, but Lex did his best to ignore it for now. It made him more happy in the long run... even if he couldn't remember some stuff. "Aw come on..." he sighed a little shaking his head a bit, but as Irony decided to bitch out Kel, Lex had to fight off the urge to laugh. "Ya got any family 'er anythin'?" he asked.

Lawrence, meanwhile, sighed, got up, and started over towards Lex and Kel. "Hey, Lexi you gonna introduce me to your new friend or what?" he asked forcing a smile. Though he didn't particularly want to talk to Kel, Lawrence didn't like not having someone to talk to. Seeing as his main gabbing brother had changed attention, Lawrence gave in and decided to do so as well. Lex looked rather sharply at Law, and both of them knew Lexington Fawks wasn't a fan of being called Lexi- unless it happened to be a pet name from some patron or something. " 'Ey you're the one who said you didn't want to come," Lex replied as if that made any actual sense. "This is my bro, Law... the name's Lex by the way," he said after a moment.

[KARP KARP!]

"Dixon," Kel stated, still not one to give out his real name. "Dixon Fyre." The man looked at the twins. "Nope. None that claim me, anyway," he answered.

"I know my old self is in here somewhere. I just need to do a little more soul searching." He finished the fifth beer. "One more, 'tender?" he asked, as if he literally thought he'd find his soul in one of those beers.

[Jay]

Lex raised his eyebrow and turned his head to one side. He's kinda .... Down? Sad? Stupid Which meant it would have been easier to manipulate him... if there had been anything to gain from such, though. It seemed as though he had lost everything -including money- and that was certainly discouraging for those that made their living by coning others. Law meanwhile frowned a little coming to the basic conclusion that Lex was. The hell are you doing? There are better people to mess with... Lawrence mentally asked as he looked sideways at his twin. Lex sighed a little but continued to offer a smile. "Doubt you'll find et there..." the purple haired man laughed a little.

[KARP KARP!]

Kel sighed, leaning back in his seat after being rejected one more beer. "Maybe not, but still. Find me some hot chick and I'll check her pants," he snorted. "Ah well, I'll find myself again...Or die tryin'." He gave a shrug, looking between the two. "Well, what brings you kids to a joint like this?"

[Jay]

Well......that certainly wasn't a cheery mood that he wanted to see. Lex had to fight the urge to sigh at Kel, and instead, he ended up chuckling a little to himself instead. At the question, Lex shrugged his shoulders and offered an easy grin. "Just out for ah drink~" he replied rather quickly before taking yet another sip of his drink which was rapidly depleting in front of him. Lawrence smirked a little eyeing Lex as the man started to sway ever so slightly. Lex you get tipsy too easy... he thought to himself before taking a sip of his drink. "Yeah, Lex wanted a drink," he chuckled a little before shaking his head and taking another sip.

[KARP KARP!]

Kel nodded. "Well, that's all ya can get here. No action, no fun, and the music sucks." This comment ushered a disgruntled grunt from the bartender. "But they do have the best beer." He sighed, looking around. "Speaking of which....I've reached my limit....Great." The red-haired fat man thought a moment, grey eyes scanning the room.

Getting an idea, he leaned in closer to the boys. "I think I may hop over to the bar down the street," he whispered. "You boys wanna join me?"

Kel's last words elicited a laugh from Lex. Law, meanwhile, smirked a little but didn't quite show a full physical reaction. It wasn't his style after all. "How about we go ...have some fun instead..." the purple haired teen offered. What he meant by fun could be debatable by the outsider, but it was clear enough in Lex's mind: go mess with some people, steal some stuff, and call it a night. Law rolled his eyes and sipped his drink but chuckled quietly after Lex. he knew his brother too well and knew intentions too well. Were they going to blame things on Kel as they walked down the street and stole stuff. Yep.

[KARP KARP!]

"What ain't fun about bar-hoppin? Maybe there'd be more women at the next one. Something hot for me and a set o' twins for you two." The man thought a minute as he stood to his feet. "What kinda fun you boys talkin? If you speak the right language, maybe I can teach ya'll a trick or two." He gave a grin, remembering how he was at that age. Oh how those were the days. But his best days were ahead of him. Assuming he could get out of this rut...

Lexington looked sideways at Lawrence, and for a few seconds both exchanged a smirk. "We... were thinking maybe goin' raving," Lex answered back after a moment. Law smirked more and nodded his head that much more. "Either that or....maybe goin' to -ah- pickin' a few pockets," Lawrence said, and it was probably easy to tell from the two's expressions that that was exactly what they were thinking.
