Nibbler had been in, and won, so many battles that his true strength was often underestimated- even by Kali herself. He'd have been a Raticate long ago were it not for the little white stone hanging like a dog tag from his neck. The question now was if he could take a same-type bonus'd hit from this pretty determined-looking Floatzel.
She didn't have much time to think, however, and her faith in the beastie won out in a moment's notice. "Super Fang," she called out. ...She was intentionally ignoring that speed-dating comment, by the way. This was naturally solely to concentrate on the battle, and in no way because she actually felt slightly bad about any snappy quips that jumped to mind, nor was she slightly blushing at all. She was engaged, after all; in fact, she intended to do a little shopping around for her wedding planning after she'd poked around for the Pokemon she was after in this part of town. Clearly this meant she would no longer find any other males attractive ever.. right?
Nibbler did his best to move with the hit, his small size working to his advantage at least in an evasive regard, but in the end he wasn't able to cushion it very much at all. The water and weight of Leah's tails delivered a crushing blow; had he been an alley cat or a poodle instead of a hearty Pokemon his ribs would have cracked almost for sure. That had been well over half his limit, if not even a little over three-fourths. Fortunately, what his maneuver had at least managed was not getting thrown too far, and he quickly bounced back to bite the Floatzel for what was guaranteed to be half her own health.

Okay, so it looked like the little rodent had some fight in him after all. But unlike the Rattata, the Floatzel still had something to prove. Even after all this time, she couldn't let it go. Dammit she loved her trainer, and surely a couple victories today would do it!
"Leah, dodge!"
.....Waitwhat? Oh crap battle...right... She went to dodge the attack, but was way too late as it hit dead on, halving her health. Okay, focus. No more drooling over her slightly heavier trainer, yet still somehow sexy--oh wait FOCUS.
"Leah, Brick Break!"
Leah took off to her full speed, rushing at the Rattata before launching the attack.

Fuuuuuuckthat hurt, even with the endure. God it kept him conscious but didn't make it less painful okay. A moment after contact was made, the little rat practically exploded with a surge of energy that would bring the Floatzel to his level. The moment after that, he lay fainted, toll taken by the Sandstorm. All the same, Kali praised, "Good job." The Super Fang had been nothing but a distraction to start.

The combo, combined with the Sandstorm, took Leah out, no problem. That left Kel with two Pokemon. Two options. Venom, and Junior. He sighed silently, thinking it over. Okay, maybe get Junior out there, then see if Venom's style could maybe ease the odds in his favor a little. Hopefully.
"Junior! Your turn." Tossing a Pokeball, Kel called out a small Nidoran, which...oddly he'd named Junior for the sole purpose that he reminded the man so much of a young version of himself. Young, brash, chip on his shoulders, but above all, a real charmer with the ladies.

Recalling her dear fainted Rattata, Kali sent in her final new addition- yes, she had only five Pokemon with her today. With any luck, Kelsy would never know the difference.. at least until she gloated about the fact, anyway, but she was still undecided as to whether or not she would.
"Looks like a good time for you, Reyna." And out came a Gardevoir. Kali had brought her as a means to compare if she found a Gothitelle.
However, as she came out, Reyna brought a hand to her mouth in surprise and flushed a little. Turning to Kali somewhat urgently, she asked, '..Are.. What's going on, Kali?' Only the girl would hear.
"Hey, don't worry~" she chimed. "We're not fighting. It's just a little friendly competition with my new friend here~"
:X 'I... But he's so little..'
"Oh it's fine. He wants to fight, don'tcha Junior?" She leaned to look beyond the Gardevoir and smile at the Nidoran. ...For a brief moment, Kali was suddenly struck by some form of.... Deja vu? Dread?? ..She.. wasn't even sure. It just felt as though.. somehow.. she should have a bad feeling about male Nidoran? ....Well whatever, it was probably nothing. "You don't have to hurt 'im. Just a little.. tussle."
... Reyna sighed. Turning back to their opponents, she nodded. '...All right.' She was letting him go first, though. <Your move,> she told him.

Kel mentally kicked himself; he was screwed. Or maybe not. He just had to time this right, and maybe the Pokemon's willpower matched his own.
"Junior, Shadow Claw!"
The Nidoran blinked. What? He was expected to attack that beautiful creature before him? No way. Instead, he trotted over, a mischievous gleam in his eyes. <Ya know, I don't see any point in battling; especially a beautiful being such as yourself.> He gave somewhat of a small grin.
Kel facepalmed. What? That wasn't a--oh she couldn't have called out a male...that woulda made life easier.

Kali joined Kelsy in facepalming, only realizing after the fact they'd both done so, and unable to resist a slight breath of a laugh over the fact. "....I don't guess you'd Psychic..?"
As expected, Reyna spun with an appalled look. 'W--what?? D'8 But he doesn't WANT to fight, and I--'
Kali sighed. Looking up to Kelsy, she asked, "...Draw?"

Kel grumbled, before finally nodding. "...Draw." He rubbed his temples; the man was down to his last Pokemon. This chick had him on the ropes. Kel Jaegar was NEVER down like this. It was just so...blah let's just get this over with, and maybe he'll pull one out of his ass.
"Venom." He tossed the Pokeball, and the Toxicroak emerged, and as always...he had a chip on his shoulder. He stood there, practically shuddering with anticipation. He couldn't wait to get his toxic fists smashed against some poor soul's face; hearing them scream for mercy. Oh yes...

Stormy was weaker, but she didn't know if Sia would be recovered from his little... incident.. Thus, her dear Shadow Electivire it was. The Shiny again took the stage, blank and mechanical as ever. She might have toyed with him a little, but Kali would never forgive herself if she lost because she was fucking around. She'd let him call the first move, if only to avoid calls of a sucker punch (and not the Dark-type move), but then... :3 Well, he'd regret underestimating the pretty little girl.

"Alright, Venom. Let's do this. Go make 'em cry." That was it; Kel knew Venom would rather do his own thing. Besides, when it came to Venom...Kel was sure the Toxicroak didn't know what was going through his own head half the time.
Meanwhile Venom gave another shudder, combined with a sick grin. He rushed at the Electivire, his fist seeping with poison as he prepared a Poison Jab, hoping to poison the other Pokemon.

Venom here was a lot like Sia, wasn't he? At any rate, battle time. "Psychic," she ordered as the Toxicroak rushed in. The Electivire stood like a wall and gathered power. The Toxicroak hit square, and succeeded in poisoning her. She then released the psychic blast, staggering a moment after from the weakness of the toxin. Were she a normal Pokemon, she'd have fallen to her knees, but pain did not phase her half so badly as the thought of failing her mission.

The Psychic tossed the Toxicroak back, and was damn well effective. He just lay there a good minute, before finally twitching. No....he couldn't go out. Not after one hit. No! Struggling, he finally made it to his feet, slapping himself in the face to shake loose the cobwebs.
When he stood, his eyes widened. No! How'd she get that far away! He was screwed! Mustering up the rest of his strength, the Toxicroak scrambled to get closer to the Electivire, preparing a nice Payback when he finally did so.

Kel smirked when the smoke cleared. Ha! He only had two more Pokemon to knock out and it seemed as if he could do it. He was gunna--crap. Looking at Venom...well, the Fighting/Poison type had fainted also. Kel lowered his head, returning the Toxicroak.
"I lost...I really...I lost...." His hair fell over his eyes as he looked down. "I really am rusty...I really don't have it anymore. Just a washed up old man..."

She moved to Stormy, nudging her a bit with her toe (as she was wearing her usual flip-flops). "Stormy. ..Hey, Storm." Slowly- very, very slowly- the Electivire's eyes twitched... then cracked open. Kali smiled. "Up." For a good ten seconds, nothing happened. Then her fingers clenched. One arm moved, then another, and over the next thirty or forty seconds, the Electivire managed to sit up.
Propping herself on her arms, she was still clearly disoriented and weak, shaking slightly; and she only managed to hold the position for a few seconds before falling back down, truly out now, but Kali laughed with proud delight all the same. "You're awesome." She recalled her dear friend now, then smiled at Kelsy. "What can I say? Hard to beat willpower like that~"

Kel winced as he looked up to see the Electivire struggle to get back to her feet, then snorted as she fell back down. Great...now she was rubbing it in. Six months ago he would have stomped her flat without even thinking about it. But no...he got his ass handed to him.
"Hmph. If I was half the man I used to be it wouldn't have gone this way," he muttered before turning away, kicking at an empty beer can on the ground.

No one she was going to make an effort to hang out with, but someone she might like seeing every now and then. ^_^

..Oh hey, what time was it now anyway? She'd been searching for a while since last time she checked even before this battle. Pulling her phone just far enough from her purse to see the time, she startled a little before dropping it back in. "Oh damn, speaking of, I should probably get going. I don't have much time left at all to search for Pokemon before I need to start shopping." Beaming, she explained, "I'm getting married next month~" Although.. as many little details as she had been looking into lately, she still hadn't entirely decided where they should go for it... She definitely wanted a honeymoon at Paradise, if she could get him to take off work long enough<3 But as for the actual wedding, she was still drawing a blank.
..That.. and... The smile fell a bit. "Might..actually wanna cut out the hunting.." she muttered more to herself as she double-checked her purse and person making sure she had everything. "Finding a dress might take a while without my best gay..." She wished she knew where Sen had gone... ;-; It had been so, so long since she'd seen him and.... Oh she really just hoped nothing had happened.. The very last time they'd hung out, he said he would help her with her dress, and she had been putting it off, but she knew she needed to start... or... At the least, as she'd been doing, try to get as much else planned as possible so she'd have as much time at the end for that as she could get.... and also stall the longest in hopes he might show up. <:X Sigh..

Kel looked up at Kali when she mentioned him being older than her old man. "Hey, I may be old but....ah forget it..." He sighed, looking around as he listened. Heh...number one gay. That reminded Kel of his used-to be right hand man; almost like his son. But it was his fault Kel was where he was now in the first place. Grah. If he ever saw that sorry excuse for a man again....
"Yeah, I should go too. Got...business to take care of," he said. But all the while he was thinking, plotting. He'd seen where she kept her Pokeballs. Seen what she had. Most of it, anyway. But...this would prove whether or not he could still do this. Once and for all. If he couldn't pull this off, he really was useless.
