A Fun Endeavor? [Fish]

This was going to be great.

Nami couldn't stop smiling for less than a minute as she went winding through the particular shop she was currently in. A banquet of sea paraphernalia was laid out here and there catching blue eyes every few seconds and causing Nami to drop whatever she had been looking for and quickly go over to something else. Sea and beach dresses and skirts lined the back walls and mended with straw hats of varying size. Baskets and cups for making sand castles lined the floor. Confusing but shiny things swung like monkeys from the ceiling, and Nami couldn't stop smiling.

It had been a while since she had shopped- since she had money to shop, but she still had to be specific on what she wanted least they- she and Ty - run out of money before anything happened. "Ep! It's so cute..." she squealed a little before quickly setting down what appeared to be some sort of starfish to quickly move back to the vibrant dresses that coated the back walls. "But those are so pretty too, and we don't want to spend too much money and..." Nami caught herself realizing that she had said 'we', but it was her and Ty, and... yeah. They'd been traveling for what felt like forever now, and they'd both been there for each other. They'd.. even saved a kid and got him back to his family and...

Why was she making excuses? Stopping in mid-thought, Nami shook her head and looked back after a moment. "Hey Ty!" What color?" she asked pointing to the various flower patterned sundresses.

In fact, he was just excited about being here with her, on an actual date. Or well, getting ready for a date, anyway. But...a date! With Nami! It was enough to make him smile, and his face was practically stuck that way. For the most part, he was going between looking at different oddities and watching Nami rush around the store looking at....everything. Then, he jumped when she actually asked his opinion on something. "Hmm....as much as I love green....the blue brings out your eyes," he replied, almost as if he knew what he was talking about. "Really?" she asked a smile coming to her features. "I think..." she hummed turning back before reaching up to pull down the beach dress and turning around again. "Ah... I like it... what do you think?" she asked looking up at Ty for a brief moment. It did, in fact, accent her eyes nicely and gave quite a serene look over all. One could question if maybe her name had been because of the reflection of her eyes, but of course that was silly. [/scrolly]

He gave a nod as she took it down and held it up. "I think it'd look good on you," he said with a nod. In fact, he thought she looked good as is, the dress just somehow made it even better. "I'm gonna try it on," she grinned before practically skipping to the back. Dodging under a rack of clothes before disappearing into a dressing room, Nami closed the door quickly after that. The cashier who had watched all this put a hand to his heart and let a cool breath out. Thank Arceus she hadn't broken anything. Meanwhile, sounds of moving could be heard, and in another second, Nami came out once more wearing the dress. It clung a little but fit her figure rather nicely. "It feels really durable.. and really soft..." she hummed a little twirling about and causing her dress to flare a little. [/scrolly]

But still...she was just so....cute? Pretty? Amazing. And apparently more graceful than she gave herself credit for. When she walked out wearing the dress, Ty took a step back. Whoa....He let out a low whistle, albeit involuntarily. "Wow....it looks great on ya..." he said, blushing lightly. [/scrolly]

Fighting back this urge, she removed her hand again and offered an easy smile and rubbed the back of her neck. "I... thanks..." she beamed a little and couldn't help but giggle -giggle?!- if only a little. "I think... Yep I think I'm getting it," she stated flatly before spinning around lightly -only to trip on the rug that was in the store and go crashing into a table. The cashier flinched. So much for graceful... [/scrolly]

Walking over to her, he knelt down and offered his hand in assistance. "You okay?" he asked softly. Part of him was mildly embarrassed, but...the majority of him was worried for her. Nami could have face/floored a million times over had she not caught sight of Ty's hand After a second or so, she took it and stood up slowly again before starting to set the things that had dropped back up as well. "Yeah.. remind me not to do that in a crowded store..." she mumbled a little before shaking her head and slowly looking back at Ty. "I'm going to take this to the register," she said after a moment pulling the tag from the dress before starting to walk over. Just then, Temera Efrette walked into the store straight backed and leering. "Hey! You!" she barked at Ty before pointing her gun at him. "Your bounty is mine!" she barked before releasing a barrage of bullets. The few people in the store suddenly broke into panic as screams of fear rang out. [/scrolly]

"Will do," he replied with a smile, watching her go to the counter. Then, everything was ruined as...some chick barged in. "Oh crap I still have tha--" He dived behind a shelf as bullets were unloaded into the store. This was just great....they were FINALLY getting some relaxing time, and...who WAS she? Suddenly, he came to his senses, crawling to stay hidden behind the shelves. Those icy blue eyes scanned for Nami. She had to be okay....he'd send her off to wait for him. It'd be okay....right? Nami had been hit -though not lethal and not even through her vitals. The bullet had grazed her arm causing her to cry out startled and fall sideways on the same damn arm. Flinching, she ended up curling by the register for a brief moment before fear compelled her to move behind something. No sooner had she started to crawl than the woman behind the register seized her by the arm and pulled her behind. Nami nearly screamed, yet when she realized what the other woman was doing, she nodded and hid behind the counter.

"Hey! I know there's a Ty somethin' or other in here! Get your ass out here!" Teme barked venomously as she stopped shooting if only for a brief moment. Reloading her guns, the blond haired woman waited and looked around the room with a heated anticipation about her.

He couldn't leave Nami, but he couldn't let her stay here in danger, either. Thinking quickly, he called out Scorch, and the Magmar ducked beside him. "Scorch, use Smokescreen," Ty whispered, and the Magmar obeyed, a thick smoke filling the room. "Everybody! Out!" he commanded the others who may have been trapped in there. What he planned to do himself....he didn't know. [/scrolly]

As smoke began to fill the room, Teme's eyes grew and narrowed again. Swearing under her breath, the blond woman pulled up and arm and put it over her mouth to keep herself from taking in the air. Staring into the room, she stepped out again waiting for those to run by to get out. Upon hearing Ty's call, Nami's eyes widened, and she forced herself up. Pushing the store clerk who was trying to get her to go out with her, Nami started to move through the smoke disregarding her own problems at the moment. "Ty? Ty!?" she called through the smoke before suddenly tripping over something and flinching. Ow. She'd hit her arm again...Teme growled and watched as various people ran out of the store but not her target, damn it.

"Nami! Get outta here! I'll meet up with you later, I promise! I just don't want you to get hurt....Dammit don't worry about me! Run!" he called, crawling to another part of the store, hiding behind another shelf. There wasn't much time....and he knew if the smoke cleared and he was gone...she'd just chase after him. That was common sense. [/scrolly]

Upon hearing Ty's words, Nami physically fidgeted and shook her head forcing herself back up again though lower than she was at full height. "I'm not leaving you!" she shouted back. Suddenly a bullet went whizzing by, and Nami was left staring in horror that it had come so close. For a few seconds, she just stood there, and after that, she managed to take a step back and ended up falling flat on her butt again. Maybe... maybe she should get out but... but he.... "You... you better come find me later or I swear I'll..." Nami didn't get to finish her statement as the sounds of feet entering vibrated. "Come out!" Teme barked still with her arm pressed against her nose and mouth.

"I promise! Just go while you can!" he shouted through his threatening tears. "Nami, I love you," he choked, picking up a seashell and chucking it in the direction of the voice of the woman after him. "Leave me be! I'm reformed now, dammit!" [/scrolly]

Teme's head darted when the seashell was tossed, and slowly heading that way, the woman aimed her gun through the smoke and growled a little like some feral cat. Nami's eyes grew, and her face went scarlet at Ty's words. She sat there startled for a few seconds feeling her heart beat screaming in her ears. He loved her? He loved her. And he was going to die just like... all the other people she loved? Something deep within Nami snapped and snapped hard. Shoving herself up, she twisted around and found the first thing that came to her hand. Teme, meanwhile, was focused on where Ty was yelling. "Shove it, jackass! Your head is on the list!" the blond haired woman barked. Suddenly the sound of running could be heard. Teme's head darted in the direction but before she could raise her gun, Nami swung. Wood cracked on skull, and the brown haired woman was left standing there seething: blue eyes wild with terror and aggression. "Don't you dare hurt him!" she screamed raising what she had taken up - a wooden cane of some sort- and sent it cracking down again on a very disoriented Teme. The blond hared woman blocked the attack with her gun this time and proceeded to shove Nami back before trying to aim the gun and finding it hard.

The smokescreen began to clear enough for him to see Nami and the woman. Nami looked on top but a cane was still no match for a gun... Rushing over, he grabbed Nami's arm. "Scorch, Smokescreen again!" The Magmar obeyed as he attempted to pull Nami towards the door, Scorch following behind them. He hoped this worked... [/scrolly]

Nami was screaming, screeching, and wailing like the banshee herself even after having her arm pulled and her entire body dragged off by Ty out of the store and down the street. Rage had blinded her, and fear was only egging it on. She wanted to go back and kill that woman for even daring to harm the one constant in her life at the moment, and yet she was pulled along down the street and away from Teme. Slowly her voice died down, and her legs worked faster. Thus, they ran.

Temera Efrette scowled and watched as the man took off. Forcing herself to her feet, she quickly took chase after the man in question and the woman he had been with. At first she had caught the general direction, yet when Nami had finally stopped screaming, she found herself caught in the maze of streets that was the city. Growling, she simply continued to run and look for her target -targets now. That woman was going to pay big time for this.

Scorch followed behind them, and soon they were away from there. Ty, however, was tired, his heart beating out of his chest, echoing in his ears. He leaned against the wall after he stopped running, his lungs on fire as he breathed heavily, shaking. They'd lost her...finally....they'd lost her. And...he'd almost lost Nami....Those blue eyes squeezed shut, the first of many tears flowing down his cheek as he still held her arm. [/scrolly]
