He kept eyes on the ground, when she placed her hand on his shoulder the young boy closed his eyes as he fought back tears. He hated crying in front of Sofia!! He felt like it made him look weak... When he is the strong one who protects her.. But there where no stopping these tears, one again they ran down his cheeks and his body started to tremble. he slowly raised his head and opened his eyes to look at Sofia. " S...Sofia... M...My...D...Dad is... Is... Dead.." Harvey said in soft tearful voice. [/scrolly]

Something had happened...something bad...Sofia had never seen Harvey this upset before and...it scared her... At the sight of his tears, Sofia's heart ached and she was about to say something when Harvey looked at her. Whatever words Sofia had in mind to stay stuck in her throat as she saw his tear-stained face. Eyes growing wide with concern upon seeing his face Sofia couldn't help but wonder what had made Harvey so upset until she heard his soft, halting words. A small gasp escaped Sofia's lips as she pulled Harvey into an embrace, biting her own lip to keep from crying as well. She...she couldn't believe it...Harvey's dad was...dead... "I'm so sorry..."Sofia whispered in Harvey's ear as she held him close,"Harvey...I'm...sorry.." Tears were streaming down her own cheeks now but Sofia didn't seem to notice or even care. Sofia couldn't imagine losing her own father...she had been gone so long...she didn't think-... What would she had done if someone from her own family had died...the thought made Sofia cringe as she continued to hold Harvey. They...they had to be there...they were all right...she was sure of it...had to believe it.[/scrolly]

Sure she had been able to feel Harvey's emotions, being a sympathetic pokemon due to species, but with Sofia's mixed in it was a little harder to stand. Even after years of training herself, she couldn't deny her nature to want to simply pick them up and hug them close. A red eye slid sideways, and Amina found herself edging closer to Nathan. 'You could have been less harsh...' she mumbled psychically to her husband who remained still and just watched. After a moment, Nathan breathed in and released his breath before raising a hand to his temple and massaging it slowly. 'I know' he admitted mentally before reaching sideways and wrapping an arm around her. [/scrolly]

He then just let himself freely cry, he did not care anymore. guilt, anger and sadness overwhelmed the young man. Rayna was at a loss she had no idea what to say or do for Harvey... What could anyone say to someone who had lost a loved one?? " H...Harvey... It.. It will be alright." Rayna said though the words felt empty even though she meant them. Harvey then once again forced himself to calm down. He let go of Sofia and slowly turned to look at Nathan, his eyes where red from crying so hard. " Sofia and I will go home.. Though I... I have a stop I want to make.. Someone I need to see before going home..." Harvey said and looked both Nathan and Ami in the eyes. Ms. Bennett was on his mind, the kind bur strict maid of his home. She also helped him feel better when he was down, and right now he needed her more then ever. [/scrolly]

The last thing that Harvey needed to see right now was her crying too... Nodding at Harvey's initial words, Sofia picked up Angel again and held the Pichu close as much for comfort as to make sure the Angel wouldn't wander off. Sofia's earlier cheeryness was gone as she stared blindly at the ground, trying to take in the news she had just heard. It didn't seem real but...Harvey's reaction and general demeanor said otherwise. The news made her worry about her own family back home...she did miss them but it hadn't been as bad when she was with Harvey. Sofia enjoyed exploring Era with him and couldn't think of anything else she'd rather do even if it had kept her away from home for a long time. Well, at least she'd managed to write a few times so her family couldn't be as worried...or at least Sofia hoped they wouldn't be. After a few moments Sofia looked up at Harvey, managing a small smile if only for his sake, wondering who exactly he needed to see. They had been gone a really long time and...no...if Harvey needed to do something she would stay with him. "All right... I'll go with you... We've stayed together this long might as well see it through hmm?"Sofia replied in as cheerful a voice as she could manage, more or less forcing a laugh at her own attempt of making light of the situation. Turning to Amina and Nathan, Sofia's face didn't drop her mask of happiness despite the ache in her own chest,"Don't worry about us mmk? We'll go home, promise,"Sofia replied, curtsying as best as she could with Angel in her arms.[/scrolly]

As Harvey finally calmed and said that he would go home but needed to make a stop, the redhead blinked briefly before frowning. He would much rather accompany them and make sure they got home. 'They're fourteen aren't they?' Amina's thoughts cut into Nathan's and he found himself looking sideways at her. 'And Justice was sixteen... we already saw that they have pokemon, and you still ...have work to do...' The Gardevoir projected. As much as she loved children and as much as she wanted to help, as long as they got home, that was good, right? Amina also knew how much Nathan would kick himself if he was unable to pursue their main line of work at the moment as well. Justice was sixteen, and they were fourteen and a pair... They'd... be alright, right? Hopefully... Nathan breathed in deeply and rubbed his temple a bit before nodding a bit. "Alright, I have work to do, but get home as soon as you can." the redhead sighed aloud frowning and showing a bit more of his age than was custom for him. [/scrolly]

When Harvey made a promise he always kept it. Though feared what was going to happen now... Surely Sofia's family was going to be mad at him.. And the thought of only having Mom to go back to just made him want to stay away even more. But with the help of the maids and Sofia everything should be alright... Or so Harvey hoped anyway... Harvey then turned to Sofia and nodded, " Alright.. Lets go.." Harvey said as he started to walk. All of Harvey's pokemon followed say for Rayna. She looked back at Nathan and Ami and gave a bow. " Thank you both so much for allowing Harvey to return on his own." the shiny Riolu said before running off after Harvey. [/scrolly]

Shifting Angel in her arms slightly, Sofia curtsied again,"Thank you very much. I promise we'll go home soon,"she replied in a calm, level voice before turning to Harvey as he spoke. Pulling out Angel's pokeball, Sofia returned the Pichu and pocketed the pokeball before reaching out and taking hold of Harvey's hand. Sofia gave his hand a gentle squeeze before starting to walk alongside him. After they were a short distance away from Amina and Nathan, Sofia stopped and gave Harvey a gentle kiss on the cheek,"It'll be all right Harvey...you'll see,"she said in a quiet voice, smiling despite the pain that had latched onto her heart ever since Harvey had told her what had happened.[/scrolly]
