Dang VC has lasted some time hasn't it? Makes me feel old somehow.

I know its probably cause we raised this site. We were here from the begging. Sg, You, Elayne, Cora, and Me and I guess Ryder too. Well at least within the first two months of me joining thats all I remember.

Yeah... it's such an old sight to see now a days heh. Most people start up sites and then let them dine. VC got past its baby stage at the very least.

It will go further I know this for fact. Eventually people's muse will return , and when that happens we will be reborn. I'm working on getting my muse back may take a little more time , but I will return.

Sooooo....

First there was the muse loss.

Then July 13-19 was Aywas's annual Scavenger Hunt, which when I think about it would possibly be a cool thing to kind of do around here when people are a bit more active. ... x3; Of course, I have no idea what could be offered as a prize that isn't seriously devalued at this point, but whatever.. Anyway, Scav was a thing where rather than finding as many things as we could, teams of people were DOING as many things as we could. I built an epic little clay sculpture, and another derpier (but cuter) one out of peanut shells, and drew a lot of things both digitally and traditionally, and painted my old computer tower, and so-on. Flora's parents got to hear things like "brb making 20-foot dragon plush" (which she BS'd together in about half an hour, it was amazing x'3). Two of our other teammates went to the zoo, but didn't get enough pictures, so then Thom and I went to the zoo here too, and one of the prior two put together their pictures and our pictures into a slideshow showing real animals that had Aywas pets based on them, etc. Elayne and Flora and several other people and I collabbed for what ideally would have been a 75,000 word novel but had partial credit available, and we got up to like 18,000 I think.

8'3 Needless to say it was crazy and hectic. Afterward I was completely burnt out on everything for several days.

Also, Scav is why VC didn't get a birthday present I'm so sorry. ;w; When I realized it was going to fall right in the middle of Scav Week I really did try to pump something out beforehand to just throw up really quick on the day-of, but I just couldn't seem to come up with anything and the few people I'd asked for suggestions seemed pretty dry as well so yeah I'm sorry I didn't forget though. ;w;

THEN, from July 26th to August 7th, FLORA WAS HERE IN MY HOUSE<3 It was amazing. We did things like go to a go-kart/various-other-small-rides/arcade place and saw Brave (a second time for me but it's great and she hadn't seen it and her mom took us and also really liked it so it was great) and unpacked boxes (x'3; yeah, see below) and played games and drew in each other's notebooks and lay in the floor for a few hours one night coming up with names for My Little Porny characters (like "Barity" and "Cheeri-lay" and "Princess Moon-ya"; obviously we just stole Princess Molestia from the internet :B). It was the best. Also her mom got me Pokemon Conquest as an early birthday present and that is amazing and has filled a lot of my time since Flora left. x'3

We also moved a few days after she got here; some of you know we had moved in with Thom's sister who is now our next-door neighbor while they were finishing our house. Those of you who don't know, that was also a thing that happened in early June and the house took much longer than expected and that's another reason I've been less active because I had less personal time and had to chase the kids a lot more when we were over there.

But yes so after moving we also lost internet and while I could very rarely connect to sis-in-law's signal from here (usually only on the porch though it was especially nice for whatever reason the last net-less day I had) we didn't get actual internet hooked up until yesterday. 8'3 But now I am back online.

...Which doesn't mean back to VC because now I'm applying for an actual job on Aywas. x3; And I don't mean like "oh I like this website more than VC I want to do stuff there instead", I mean this would pay a hundred real dollars a week for me to do art things. :B I'm sure odds are pretty slim as they're only hiring four people at the moment (and this is also kind of a trial thing to see if it's in the budget to continue doing so even if I did get it there's no guarantee it'd last), and on its own that money barely qualifies as a job, but holy shit a hundred extra dollars a week to do things that I would more or less do anyway? x'3; Yeah I have to at least try.

:B So yeah that's going to absorb a few more days minimum along with getting caught up with various things from being offline so long and then IIIIFFFFF I'm lucky and they like my work (8'D though I actually feel kind of decent about my chances because I'm sort of in love with what little work I've done so far and also that was for the easy part of the application and now getting into the harder parts I'm trudging through but getting hopeful that maybe a lot of people who would have been attracted enough by that cash offer to apply will actually get discouraged and quit over the hard stuff?? so keep your fingers crossed for me 83 I'd do it myself but that would make it harder to dra--*MAULED* X3 Oh come on what SG rant is complete without a bad joke?)-- but yes, if they like my work, I'll be doing on average two pets a day to meet my quota on top of any stuff I do for my various freelance art shops. :B

X3;;; BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE I've been thinking off and on about VC lately and had some ideas for new/altered mechanics and some various other things to make it more fun/challenging/etc. :B So hopefully you'll eventually hear about those.

Honestly have no Idea why I didn't see this earlier. However Congrats SG that's good to hear you're doing okay. And if you use a little logic theeeeeeen we can say VC's birthday never happens since we are currently frozen in time at spring. So If you want we can do a belated birthday just a thought, But seriously congrats.
