[th] Salem | |
[No Image Yet] | Species: Eevee (Melanistic) Gender: Male Ability: Anticipation Starter |
[th]Having been with his trainer since they both were young, Salem fancies himself Corbin's right-hand pokemon. Friend, guardian, confidant, and occasional wingman, Salem uses his hard-earned gift of speech to assist his trainer in all sorts of things. Well, if by 'assist' you mean 'open his big fat mouth and get her into trouble,' anyway, since Salem seems incapable of not saying the first random thing that pops into his head with little sense of tact; if he thinks his trainer thinks you're the hottest thing short of the sun, he'll say so in all his up-front honesty and then have no idea why everyone involved just turned an impressive shade of red. He means well, though, and he's overall a very laid-back, kind-hearted pokemon who would gladly give up his last scrap of food if he thought someone else needed it more. He's very protective of Ruya, Corbin's Espeon, and affectionately refers to her as 'little sister' despite their lack of actual blood relation. |
[th] Haldis | |
Species: Onix Gender: Male Ability: Sturdy Starter
[th]Haldis is a fairly simple-minded creature. He likes food, he likes music, he likes his trainer and friends, and, sometimes, he likes to battle. Stand between him and those he cares for, or something he wants, and you will be squished. Unless you're too big or strong to squish, in which case he'll still certainly give his best effort. That's about all there is to him. |
[th] Ruya | |
Species: Espeon Gender: Female Ability: Synchronize Starter
[th]Ruya doesn't have much in the way of a personality. Having been bred and trained to replace the sight of a blind person, she was discouraged from thinking for herself and forming opinions and beliefs of her own. Her entire purpose is to sync up her mind to her trainer's and then automatically respond to their subconscious desires. They want to look over there? She looks over there, as smoothly as if the person themselves had moved their eyes. The syncing up also lets them access all of her sensory information and thoughts, allowing them to have a general 'sense' of other minds in the immediate area, and a capability to understand pokemon speech. However, this means that Ruya can do very little, if anything else, and has little capability to act independently, despite Corbin's best efforts to try to make her be her own person, something that confuses and distresses Ruya to some degree. She's pretty much incapable of battle-related psychic abilities, and has no social skills or sense of humour, prone to simply freezing up and blank staring when faced with unfamiliar situations. She has decided, though, that she likes being scratched behind the ears. And maybe she likes the sound of an acoustic guitar, too. She's pretty sure she doesn't like rain and snow, though. Or the dark. She really, really doesn't like being in the dark, because then she can't see. |
