Name: Paradox Species: Sigilyph Gender: Male Ability: Wonder Skin Personality: Paradox is an enigma wrapped in a mystery. He doesn't show much emotion at all, and just does its own thing in battle, whether the trainer gives commands or not. He always seems as though he'd much rather be somewhere else.
Here you goes~ I'll get someone to update pen and remove Paradox from Fish's shop. :3
Note: Song's pen was at 2065 when this was posted.

<You're lying,> she said simply. <What you're trying to tell me doesn't make any sense. If your human actually cared about Pokemon, he wouldn't let that Houndour do those things. You just don't want another Pokemon to join you because it's competition.> The Charmeleon looked down at her carefully before looking back up at Dawn and then over at Dusk. It seemed... like the Roggenrola was right. It didn't make any sense. Not that he wanted to go with them, anyway, but that wasn't the point.
The Crunch attack was able to hit and the Flareon yowled in pain. Staggering back a bit, it was clear he was just barely holding onto consciousness. As a last-ditch effort, he steeled himself mentally and attempted a Flail at the Houndour. Hit or miss, his luck would not be with him today and his erratic movements would send him head-first into a nearby pile of rocks, knocking him out and leaving him in a crumpled heap on the ground.

They evolve into something called Gyarados. Though there are, of course, exceptions, the majority of them are very angry Pokemon and have been known to cause havoc. They're... quite a bit larger than Magikarp, too," Ruka explained. That being said, Magikarp were actually pretty big for a fish... At least by regular animal-fish standards. At his following comment, she giggled faintly. That was part of what had made her more impatient, actually. He'd caught something, even if it hadn't really been caught so much as... annoyed, but still!
When he mentioned wandering around Era, she got a bit worried at first. Did that mean he wanted to leave now? He'd said he was going to wander, so did that mean he didn't want her to go with him? Or that he wasn't even going to go to Orion City with her like they talked about? After a few moments of inwardly panicking, Shade dragged her out of it by reaching out to tap on her shoulder. She turned her attention to him and, after a few moments of sorting out the last few moments' activities, she realized how silly she was being. Her attention quickly shifted back to Indi.
"Ah! Er, sorry, I... got a little lost in thought. I... I think that sounds like a great idea! I'd even go with you if I could, but... I have to keep going back to Orion City at least every two weeks to check in. I wouldn't want to cause any annoyances during the travels. I'm sure it would be much more fun to do it alone, anyway. The freedom to make decisions without worrying about someone else seems nice," she concluded, if a bit lamely. [/scrolly] |

The Bug-type just stared up at the man in amazement. He had lived here before? They had so much in common! It was so incredible and almost unbelievable... When Orion made his request, the Karrablast nodded quickly and with determination. He would protect this castle! It would be difficult and arduous and all that nonsense from the fairy-tales and story books but he'd do it. For sure!
Hearing the introductions, both the Gyarados and the Togepi looked between each of those introduced and seemed to smile a bit. At mention of intruding, the Water-type shook her head. She wasn't intruding, really. At least, if she was, it wasn't in any majorly negative way that she could see. Alia seemed like a piss-poor thief if that was her aim. Peering over at the Togepi when the situation was explained, the big Pokemon looked amused. <He wanders alone because he knows the rooms to hide in where there will be others to protect him. I don't think I've ever met his actual parents,> she explained, then looking thoughtful.
Then, she lowered her tail and set the Togepi down on the ground. <Having one being take care of him would probably do him a lot more good than having a dozen or so parent-figures, though. I think he should go with you,> she added, pushing him gently toward the girl. Plus, he wasn't getting any stronger with all the others take care of him the way they did. The Togepi looked a little upset, but the human was new and that made her scary! Though, the idea of adventure did dim his discomfort regarding the idea somewhat.

<Oh,> the Roggenrolla responded, sounding rather disappointed. She supposed she could attack them and get taken away, but the black weasel-thing had already said the human liked Fire-types so she'd probably be neglected. Better to be spoiled rotten by someone she didn't really like than neglected by someone else she didn't really like, she figured. Both Charmeleon and Rock-type looked over toward Dusk, a sweatdrop appearing over the reptile's face. This Bite caused the Flareon to flinch, leaving him cringing and unable to retaliate.

I'm telling you it's a horrid excuse for an insult," she stated plainly. As the Snorlax was released, Arcadie looked faintly annoyed. "You really are stupid, aren't you? I tell you that your legs stretched out were rude and dangerous because they took up room and you release this ugly thing? Ugh. Aubergine... Swords Dance, then Worry Seed."
Immediately, the hybrid crossed its arms, each glowing a lavender color. Then, he spit up a seed into his claw and chucked it at the Snorlax. Upon contact, presumably, it would attach itself like a bur, latching on and starting to cause an itch that even that giant wouldn't be able to ignore. [/scrolly] |

It may be a strange idea and she certainly wasn't any less nervous about it, but his agreement made things so much easier in her mind. However, upon hearing the suggestions from the other two, she immediately looked crestfallen. Hadn't she just talked about their comfort being the driving force behind her decision? And now they just wanted to throw her idea out the window? The decision that had taken her so much courage to actually state and they were going to try and stamp it into the ground...
Even as the tears slowly started to pool in her eyes, Ruka felt ridiculous. She should at least be trying to defend her idea, but they had stated so matter-of-factly that they'd do differently that her spirit was crushed. How was she supposed to fight them on this? Shaking every so slightly, almost unnoticably, she grit her teeth against the tears and held her Cleffa close to her chest. Said Baby Pokemon tried to reassure her with pats on the hand holding her, but it didn't look like anything was going to help.
"S-sorry," she managed to whisper, nearly needing to hiss it out completely to help fight the tears. Then she spun around, exiting the room in a rush and hurrying down the hall. The Buneary clung to her head, but the Riolu turned to glare at all three of the humans left in the room. This was not acceptable. It didn't really matter to her that Noah wasn't at all the cause, he was still there and thus he was also to blame. Emitting a light growl, she turned and -- with some comical effort due to her size -- left the room as well to follow Ruka's scent to the beach, where she sat huddled up next to the water's edge, her feet and bottom getting slightly wet thanks to the waves. She was just so relaxed that it made him relaxed. Either way, at the slight tease, he blushed faintly and reached up to scratch his cheek sheepishly. He did also giggle a little to show he didn't really think she was offended by his earlier comment, though. At her following comment about the effectiveness of the product, he grinned. "Oh, yeah, I know. I, uh... well, this may sound silly, but sometimes I like to take a bath with my Pokemon. Rather than buy some product for actual animals, I like to baby them a little. This both smells better than the majority of chemical products and better for them. I assume it is, anyway."
At the second little "jab" of sorts from Delilah, he just lightly sighed. He just preferred to get things that had a purpose rather than just things for the sake of having things. After a moment, he smiled calmly and nodded in agreement to them all smelling damn good. Taking the bottle she offered and test-smelling it, he sighed with a pleasant hum. "Indeed they do. This one is most definitely nice," he said, closing the bottle and tilting it to look at the information. He was sure he had a citrus-y kind of perfume back at the apartment, too. Might go especially nice with this.
"Thanks," he offered with a bright smile. Jemma was glad she came along, otherwise he might've been standing there for several more hours with Misty getting increasingly more whiny over that time. He was pretty easy to please, he was just indecisive about little things like this. Reaching out to pick up a matching conditioner, he hummed thoughtfully and looked to Delilah curiously. "If you don't mind, maybe we could get together sometime when I'm not showing my... least impressive traits," he suggested with a light chuckle. Hoping it was clear he meant his indecisiveness and very likely his obliviousness regarding his comment on the plants, he just smiled and added, "We can exchange numbers." [/scrolly] |

The Carnivine peered toward Justice at her comment on leaving before his attention was drawn back to Duke. Nodding his head in understanding, the Grass-type smiled faintly. <It's wonderful to meet you both. I imagine knighthood is rather difficult as well, though I'd hope you were proud of your lifestyle. I believe your companion wishes to be on her way, however, so... I suppose I should wish you farewell. I wouldn't want to keep you longer than necessary.>
He was quick to bow his head and start to usher his wife into the forest, but she stopped him almost immediately. "I, uh... am sorry... about all this. I did not know how to say this before. Sorry for... taking so long," she admitted rather bashfully, but in English! The Carnivine simply sighed, turning back toward the humans and gazing at them carefully. Her speaking their language would assuredly grab attention again -- or at least he thought -- and he didn't want to lose her. She seemed completely oblivious to this concept. She just wanted to apologize.

The Galvantula just froze out of surprise when he was touched. The Weedle, though, rather quickly reached out her butt and tapped the flat of her spiked tail on the girl's hand. This was her daddy! This crazy human could look, but no TOUCHIE! Still silent as ever, she just peered at Skye -- not even glaring, but more just watching. Her father coughed and shifted so the Weedle was a bit farther away from the human and her Pokemon before bowing his head in apology. <She's just a little possessive, y'know? Her momma left her with me, so she hates it when others get too close,> he tried to explain.
Blinking up at the Hydreigon, the little Mothim just gulped. <I, uh... yeah, you could say that. Sometimes when I startle myself... I forget I'm flying.> He wasn't outright blaming Lucifer, at least. After all, it wasn't his fault at all. The Bug-type was just easily surprised and very sensitive.

In his attempts to not make a fool of himself, it looked like he had. That was just like him, though... Of course, it all made sense now that it had been explained and it wasn't as if he would've known something like that if Alex hadn't said it.
"Yeah, it's no biggie. My bad. Don't worry about putting it in. I can just let this one settle for a while before getting the next if that's the case." Considering the offer, though, he reached up to tap his lower lip thoughtfully. Did he really want or need a drink menu? Maybe not, but having the young man retrieve one would certainly give Jemma more time to think about a better excuse to keep him from working and paying attention to him at least. "I think I will take a look at that menu. Thanks," he said with a bright smile.
Only at this time did he actually notice that Alex was on a crutch and he blinked in surprise. Now... he kind of felt bad. Though, he was on the job so there was no reason for him to feel that way. It still seemed like he'd been a bit too oblivious. It was a little late to mention it, though, so he'd have to find some reason why he wouldn't have noticed. Easiest way would be flattery, but... he'd take the few moments to consider something else so as not to seem too flirtatious. [/scrolly] |
