The Heat (Open/Mod)

[Jay]

Ken was hit by both Magnitudes, and being part part fire type, he was damaged heavily. Falling over, the Combusken began to try and fight his way up. Suddenly irritated beyond reason, the Combusken charged forwards and shot off a Double Kick at both pokemon one kick for each but the far more powerful at the Numel who started it."Ken wait!" Nami shouted. However, it was too late.

[Maid Melody]

The numel was hit by the kick and seemed dazed and confused. Shaking its head, the numel used earth power on both the sandshrew and the combusken, thinking only of self-defense now.

[Ezio]

Not expecting the kick at all, Plymonea rolled quite a distance away. Getting back up in a daze, the Sandshrew remained confused as to what had attack it when the Numel used Earth Power, knocking it over again.

"Plymmie!!" Tierra called out as she ran over to her Sandshrew, picking her up and hugging her. "It's ok if you don't want to continue" Tierra said to Plymonea. Shaking her head, the Sandshrew turned to face the Numel to use Rollout once again.

[Jay]

The Combusken dodged the attack and simply stood next to Nami again as though waiting for the battle to finish. Ken was angry but wasn't going to get involved anymore. Nami sighed and put one hand Ken's shoulder and kept him standing there.

[Maid Melody]

Upon seeing the sandshrew attempt to use rollout once again, the numel used protect and then unleashed a powerful lava plume at its attacker.

[Ezio]

Taking the impact of the Lava Plume on the same spot as before, Plymonea winced but didn't let up its attack, staying curled up and turning around for another Rollout. "Plymmie I don't think that's going to work, how about another tactic?" Tierra called out. However the Sandshrew failed to pay attention as it continued its attack.

[Jay]

Seeing that the attacks seemed to be failing, Nami looked at Ken, and the Combusken looked back at the brown haired woman. "Ken use Double Kick on that Numel, help 'em out!" she called out. The Combusken charged forwards and formed a Double Kick trying to kick the Numel at least off its feet.

[Maid Melody]

The numel was hit by the double kick and uttered a cry of pain as it was knocked out of the sand as a result. Now on solid ground, the numel shook its head before getting hit by another rollout and getting knocked off its feet once again, eyes wild with fear but it was evident that the numel was wearing down by the multiple attacks.
Charging towards the combusken the numel used double-edge in an attempt to knock the combusken senseless after what it had done to it.

[Ezio]

As the Combusken Double Kicked the Numel and the camel pokemon had retaliated with Double Edge, Plymonea used this time to build up moment for yet another Roll Out attack, ignoring what her trainer would yell to her, only focusing on attacking the Numel.

Tierra sighed and dropped her head as she watched her Sandshrew before turning to Nami. "Thanks for helping, Plymmie can get so stubborn sometimes." Tierra explained before turning her attention back to the battle.

[Jay]

The Combusken took the Double-Edge and swore far worse than a pirate. It had hurt a lot, and he wasn't about to let it come off scott free. Forming a Sky Uppercut, Ken launched his attack with his hand at the Numel.

Nami looked back to the girl and smiled lightly. "No problem," she answered back. In truth, she was somewhat smug in her own mind about Ken's battling skills, but she tried to keep that out of conversation especially towards a child. No.... she'd do somewhat of the proper thing and simply answer back lightly.

[Maid Melody]

The numel grimaced when it was hit by the rollout and the sky uppercut one after the other and stumbled backwards, not willing to give up quite yet. Shaking its head, the numel unleashed another magnitude attack.

[Ezio]

Feeling another Magnitude attack coming, Tierra grasped onto an object nearby to avoid falling, only to realize that this magnitude was weaker than the other. Looking up at what she had grasped onto, Tierra was surprised to find the object that she had grasped onto was actually Nami. "Oh oops, sorry!" She apologized, letting go of Nami.

Not giving up despite the magnitude attack, Plymonea continued with yet another Rollout attack. How much damage she had sustained and how long she could go for was anyone's guess.

[Jay]

Nami found Tierra clinging to her and then looked down as the girl said sorry. The brown haired woman laughed a fraction and pat the child on the head. "It's alright," she answered back. Ken lost his footing due to the shifting sands of the Magnitude and fell back feeling the extra pain from it being a fire type and weak to it in general. Angry again, the Combusken formed a Flamethrower and shot it at the Numel.

[Maid Melody]

The Numel was getting tired now, that much was evident. Hit by the rollout he all but fell over as he tried to regain his footing only to be blasted by a flamethrower. The normally ineffective move was enough to make the Numel falter. For a moment he seemed to ready to attack again when the Numel suddenly fell to the ground, too tired to fight any longer.

[Ezio]

"Yaaaay!!" Cried Tierra as the Numel was defeated, "thank you so much Nami!" She thanked before running over to her Sandshrew who had now finished her Rollout attacks and was laying on the floor, exhausted. Throwing a pokeball at the Numel and picking Plymonea up, Tierra snuggled her.

"Thank you, you were awesome. Let's see of we caught that Numel!" Tierra told her Sandshrew before turning around to see if the Numel would be caught.

[Maid Melody]

The pokeball sucked the exhausted Numel up before it shook once and made a DING. The Numel had been caught!

Ability: Simple
Personality: Shy and withdrawn, this Numel frightens very easily and will often run behind his trainer for comfort. He doesn't like to battle and freezes in fear sometimes when battling an opponent bigger than he is. Only time will tell if he will gain confidence in himself.

All was silent, it seemed that the sound of the battle had frightened any pokemon in the area.

[Jay]

Nami watched as the capture was finalized and smiled a bit at the young girl. "Looks like you have a new friend now," she grinned back to Tierra before stopping and thinking for a minute on something. "What are you going to name it?" she finally asked.

[Ezio]

Holding her pokeball which contained her newly captured Numel in the air, Tierra thought for a moment at Nami's question. What would she name him she thought to herself. Smiling as she thought of a name, "I think I'll name him... Indiana... Indiana Jones" she said proudly.

Lowering her arm and holding it in both hands, Tierra smiled at it one last time before putting it away in her bag. Snuggling her Sandshrew again, Tierra turned to Nami once more. "Thank you very much once again Nami"

[Jay]

Nami put her hands in front of herself and nodded lightly at the girl. "You're welcome," she answered back. "Ken seemed to want to fight as well." The Combusken said nothing but crossed his arms and sighed outwards as though ready to move on. In another moment, the fire chicken pokemon started to walk away. Seeing this, Nami sweat dropped and then looked back at Tierra. "Shall we keep going?" she asked lightly.

[Ezio]

"Yes let's continue going! We must find treasure!!" Tierra exclaimed cheerfully yet with a strong sense of determination in her voice. Placing her Sandshrew on the floor before returning her to her pokeball, Tierra grabbed her Indiana Jones hat out of her bag as she put away Plymonea's pokeball.

Placing it firmly on her head and tilting it forwards slightly, Tierra was now prepared to search for that treasure that had been eluding her for so long. Not that she was searching for anything in particular but she just wanted to find something at least.

With a small grin on her face she marched on a few steps before stopping suddenly. "Erm Nami......" Tierra said shyly as if she was embarrassed, "do you happen to know which way it is?" She asked, no wanting to look back.
