Nami shivered a fraction and huddled close to her Combusken who was rubbing his arms rather methodically in order to try and warm himself up. Ken was cold... and wondered why on earth they had left the south of the nice warm sand to come up there to the freezing cold Glacial Village. However, Pippy, Nami's Piplup seemed to be loving the ice and having a great time in the snow not far off from them. The brown haired woman crossed her arms in front of herself again and watched the Piplup for a few seconds more before shivering again. She wanted to be back to normal temperatures... even in the summer the area was cold! Starting to walk, the brown haired woman made her way through the village followed by Ken, her Combusken, and Pippy, her Piplup.

Nami wasn't the only one out in the frigid, bitter cold. Nicodemus was trudging through the soft snow, her feet sinking quickly into the thick frost as she stepped forward. She ignored the freezing wave of cold that flashed through her feet as the snow entered her shoes, soaking her socks, and reaching her once warm feet. She kept moving, trying to reach Nami in order to have a least some companion. Maybe something good could come of it. "Hey!" she ran forward, almost falling. "Wait up!" she called, her usually loud voice sounding a bit desperate. She'd been out in the north by herself for about a week or so, contact with another human would bring sanity back.

Upon hearing the call, the brown haired woman stopped and turned around rather surprised that someone was calling her. After seeing another brown haired girl, Nami turned fully around and smiled halfheartedly. "Hello," she answered back with a light smile. She wondered why exactly she had been addressed yet didn't really mind it in the end of it all. Ken turned his head as well and looked back at the two women before shrugging his shoulders and walking closer to Nami again. He didn't want his trainer to freeze and preferred to stand near her to keep her warm.

Sniffing the air in search of more food, the large pokemon yawned as it continued walking along the snowy path. It was tired and getting sleepy but yet it was still hungry... much more hungry. It stomped along, squinting its eyes, scanning the area around before spotting some humans not too far away. Thinking that they would have food or at least be a tasty treat, the Snorlax stomped along hungrily in their direction.

The girl skidded to a halt at the older woman's side. Catching up on her breath, which had gradually lost her on her way through the snow. Nici smiled up at the girl, "Hey. I'm Nicodemus." she held out her hand, introducing herself. "I was wondering if I could travel with you. It's kind of boring out here by myself." She could pick up the sound of something stomping through the snow, straight for them. It was big. Something huge. Blinking her blue eyes and focusing on the girl in front of her, Nici ignored the fact that something was there. She'd deal with that later.

"Ah hello," Nami smiled back lightly. "My name is Nami, and this is my Combusken, Ken." Ken stepped forwards waving a hand before stepping back again. In truth, the brown haired woman was surprised that the girl had just come out of nowhere and asked to travel with her. However, traveling with someone wouldn't be that bad.... Hm... I don't know anything about this girl though... Nami's face moved into sort of a somber pattern before she quickly perked up again. "Sure that sounds like fun... but let's talk a bit first hah... are you headed anywhere particular or something?" Ken tensed a fraction feeling that there was something not far off, but it had missed Nami's gaze entirely. The Combusken looked back and wondered if the pokemon would dare wander closer. Nami remained oblivious and was having some fun talking.

Picking up speed, the Snorlax continued stomping along which had turned into more of a run with each step gradually getting louder. It's stomach grumbled loudly and it could have easily been mistaken for a roar. As it ran along, the Snorlax yawned yet again. As it neared the two girls, the Snorlax stopped right infront of them, sniffing the air before spotting and grabbing a backpack, emptying it's contents into its mouth.

Nami turned and saw the Snorlax pick up her bag and all but... EAT IT? The brown haired woman's paper fans were in her hands in half a second, and she was already jumping in the air. "NOT! MY! STUFF!" she shouted suddenly bringing down her fan in a bashing motion onto the Snorlax and almost mimicking some sort of fighting type move. Ken blinked as he saw this before sweat dropping and looking back at the girl they had just met. "Ken... combus...ken...." he said trying to explain Nami's.... rage. The brown haired woman was already on a rampage though and was ready to continue bashing the Snorlax. Ken just continued to sweat drop.

Nicodemus blinked, her face full of relief. Finally, company. And she wasn't too bothered with a companion to travel with. She was so lonely just traveling aimlessly in the snow, no idea where she was heading, no goals in her head. The girl, Nami, introduced herself. And her Kombustion, which who was supposedly called Ken. She held out her hand, about to tell Nami about herself. Unfortunately, her acute ears couldn't help but pick up the sound of a roar in the distance, the pounding in the snow increasing to the sound of thunder booming at each step. A great Snorlax appeared, it's blank gaze looking right at a backpack. Nami's to be exact. It's great hand swipe outward, taking the pack and eating the whole thing, seeming to enjoy each bite. In reply, Nami decided she wasn't too happy with the whole thing. And who could blame her? That was her stuff for crying out loud. Ken just looked at the two, not too sure of what to do. He was confused, her trainer hadn't said a word to him, just took off with rage on the Snorlax. Nicodemus understood and reached for a small, round object in her pocket, knowing it would be out of her reach to stop a Snorlax on her own. But maybe one of her friends could. Pushing down on a small, silver button on the red ball she held, a flash of red formed a beam that stretched to the ground. It took form, the blinding red changing into a fierce, defiant looking Pokemon. A Quilava glared up at the Snorlax, immediately knowing that was his target. He let out a growl, "Quil." Nicodemus interrupted him. "Blaze, I need you to stop that Snorlax, but don't hurt that girl." she instructed, kneeling beside him to give him a fierce, scorning look. She knew how fire-happy he could get. Blaze let out a growl of protest, but he listened. Messing with Nicodemus was like messing with your life. If you were her Pokemon, of course. She might be nice, but if you did something that she didn't like, you were asking for it. He stepped forward, aiming a quick Double-Edge. It ought to at least do some damage to the great Pokemon in front of him. And with no fire, it was no danger to girl in front of him.

After emptying out the backpack, the Snorlax looked in it before tossing away, uninterested now that it was empty. The Snorlax yawned, seeming as if he hadn't taken notice of Nami's rage. The Snorlax sooned called out in discomfort as the Quilava used Double Edge. Looking back at the fire pokemon, it used Yawn before randomly, as if it just fell asleep, used Body Slam.

Nicodemus looked over to the fire pokemon Nami traveled with. "I know I'm not your trainer, but I think it'd be best if you got her out of there before that Snorlax mistakes her for my Quilava." she suggested, only thinking ahead to avoid the worst possibilities.
Blaze looked up at the Snorlax, a grin on his fiery face as the Pokemon let out a roar of protest, his Double-Edge hitting his opponent. He landed neatly on his feet, his paws skidding just a bit in the snow that gave way. The soft fluff let his feet sink in a few inches, the fire forming his ankle collars sizzling as they refused to fail. They melted through the neverending snow as the fire withered to little more than a small flame. The Quilava ignored his paw's problems and let out a growl, threatening the Snorlax. The small roar brought his attack stats higher, he could feel it as the fire on his back blazed ever higher, like a bonfire on his back. Instantly, it waned. The Snorlax's yawn making him tired. He shook his head trying to shake it off. Shoving his head into the snow in effort to slow its effects. The freezing feeling immediately found its way into his brain, wiggling into the hottest parts of it. Sizzling could be heard as his fiery flames melted through the soft snow, easily destroying any exsistance of it. Awakened, Blaze looked up, ready to fight again. His moment of victory was short lived. He was hit with a hard tackle, the blast of power sending him into the air, to land with a thud on the snow that had begun to melt as he made physical contact with it. Taking little more than a moment, the fire Pokemon found himself back on his paws, trying to decide what to do. Snorlax was a normal Pokemon, his normal type moves wouldn't do too much damage. But the girl was still in the way, he didn't want to hurt her. What if he used Focus Punch? Nici had taught him how to use it, and he was sure he wouldn't miss. He'd aim for his enemy's face, that always landed some serious damage. It's worth a shot. he figured, charging forward on all fours, straight for the Snorlax. As he neared the creature, he reared up on his hind legs, glowing embers forming on his right paw as he pulled it back with it's muscles tensing. He could feel the power surging through his now formed fist, ready to release it. He swung, tempted to close his eyes as he jumped up to reach the Snorlax's face. This better work!

Nami continued to smack at the Snorlax without caring about anything on the subject of a battle. The Combusken, Ken, sighed outwards before walking forwards and forming a Sky Uppercut in his hand. Combusken were known for their fighting kicks, yet Ken didn't have a sturdy enough ground to launch off his kicks. The Combusken internally knew this and was not about to make a mistake in falling through the snow just because of a kick. After a moment, the Combusken launched yet another Sky Uppercut in order to make sure that his job was done. He knew that Nami probably just wanted revenge and to finish this himself, so after this action, he stopped and waited for the brown haired woman to calm down once more. [Nici, can you wait your turn to post next time? That was my turn in the thread and you posted twice ahead of me. It's a tad annoying. Also, double space between your paragraphs please, and it is Combusken not Kombusken. ]

The Snorlax, not sure what to do as both pokemon attacked almost at the same time. After taking in all three hits, the Snorlax was actually sent up in the air for a few seconds which even surprised him. As the Snorlax crashed down onto the ground, it used Earthquake in conjunction of the force received from the fall.

Nicodemus felt uneasy. What should she be doing? Helping the stranger out? Calling her Pokemon back? Well, not really. She wouldn't mind having a Snorlax and Blaze could use the practice. But what about the other girl? She'd probably get herself killed trying to take on a Snorlax on by herself, though Nicki wouldn't pass the chance to fight one herself.
Her thoughts were intterupted when she saw the Kombusten hit the wild Pokemon with two fierce uppercuts, at the same time Blaze sent a good Focus Punch at the big belly of his opponent. They were getting better, but the Quilava still needed some practice with them.
Anyway, the Snorlax went lurching back, hitting the ground with a hard thud. Unfortunately, that sent a good Earthquake at them, making her fall to her knees with her hands shoved half way through the snow. It was freezing, ice cold, and she could see her skin growing paler and paler as her arm was still in the icy slush. She groaned in anger and looked up at her Pokemon. "Blaze, use Eruption!"
Risky, yes. But, if Blaze aimed right, no one but the Snorlax would be hit. It was a chance she was willing to take.
Blaze grunted with content and effort. His fist, glowing with fiery embers, collided the sleeping beast's stomach. A soft thud echoed and he knew he'd hit it, and it wasn't his imagination. As he saw the Snorlax fall, he let himself stand upright and grin, his back flaring with pride. Looks like he took down the whole thing without any help. With just one shot!
He looked back at Nicki, still smiling, when he spotted the Combusken. So much for taking down the Snorlax on his own. He stopped grinning and started growling. He opened his jaws, either to let some flame loose, or aim a bite, or even say something, when a huge thud hit the ground and made him shudder. He couldn't stand still, and it was hurting. Earthquake.
It stopped, enough for him to move. He was growling so hard it was hurting his throat. He was about to lurch forward and start tearing at the wild Pokemon without any move in mind. Just as he was about to, Nicodemus stopped him and told him to use Eruption.
Eruption? Was she sure? Didn't she say not to use Fire-Type moves? Whatever. She was the trainer.
He went back on all fours, blaring his flames. Energy surged through his veins and he smiled inwardly at pleasure of all the power within himself. He loved knowing he was strong, knowing he had some power to show off with.
He let his fire surge, drawing out fierce, blaring, blazes to char the wild Pokemon with. He was happy to be able to do so, it was so much fun. He could actually feel the snow starting to melt around him, because of his fire. He couldn't even begin to explain to get out of the cold slush.

Nami, quite literally, went flying as the Earthquake sent her back into a tree. Irritated by this, the brown haired woman forced herself up and stood rather uneasily for a few seconds. Ken shook his head in irritation at the entire situation, and as the Earthquake made to hit him, the fiery chicken pokemon jumped in the air with his powerful legs before coming straight down with a Double Kick. Watching this, Nami shook her head and rubbed her shoulder. That... infuriating creature.....

Hope was trudging through the snow when he almost lost balance. Hope knew that it was an earthquake the question was was it a Pokemon or natural?. Hope's question was answered when a female went flying into a tree. Hope looked up to see A huge battle between two Pokemon and a Snorlax.
Hope looked at the girl and offered his hand to help her up. Hope smiled and said politely "need some help?". Hope was Known for walking in on crazy Pokemon so the whole scene wasn't shocking to him.

The Snorlax was lying on his back, thinking that he might get a chance to sleep when he was hit by the Eruption. With an annoying groan, he scratched where the attack had hit as it had stung more than anything as a result of his Thick Fat ability. Rolling onto his feet, the Snorlax looked up just in time to see the fire chicken come down on him with a double kick...and knock him off his feet again with a resounding THUD coupled with yet another Earthquake attack. Why wouldn't anybody just let him sleep already!

Nicodemus smiled, calling out to her Pokemon. "At a boy, Blaze! Now use a Flamewheel and follow it up with an agility."
With any luck, they'd be able to finish off this Snorlax, with the help of Nami's Pokemon too.
Speaking of which, the Fire Pokemon kicked the wild Pokemon, sending it crashing down to earth and creating another Earthquake. This one wasn't as painful, but it still jarred her pretty badly.
After the quake was over, Blaze went to work. He jumped up, baring his teeth as fire poured out of his skin, and he rolled in the air, flipping all over the place in mid air, until he was just a blur of orange and red fire, and rushed over Snorlax. "Come on, just faint already!" he growled at the Pokemon.
