The brown haired woman looked up at the nurse and then at her pokemon before shaking her head. "None that need immediate care like the Sneasel," she answered back nodding her head quietly before looking to the two Zigzagoon twins. It was only then that she noticed that Hope hadn't come in. Her head turned around the pokemon center and caught sight of Nicki sinking into the couch not far off, yet still she didn't see the man. Sighing to herself, the brown haired woman rubbed her temple before finally deciding not to worry about it for now. Walking over to Nicki, Nami sat down in a chair near the other girl. Ken, who was far too proud to lay in his trainer's lap like a pet, took another chair for himself and then gestured to the Zigzagoon twins to come sit with him. One: they were warm and soft. Two: they were warm and soft. Thre--- well you get the idea. Leaning back into the chair, Nami closed her eyes and groaned a little rather quietly to herself. She was exhausted but had quite a bit of frost-bitten nervous energy that was causing her to shake ever so slightly. "I ran away from home when I was eighteen and went to live with my sister who had run away years previous to me. When I found her, she became everything to me, a mother, a big sister, a little sister, and sometimes a daughter. She got married and was going to have a baby, but she died while having it, and the baby was stillborn. I ran away from her husband because being around him while he grieved only hurt me more. I... was so selfish.... I ran back home... only to find my mother had disappeared.. I have no idea what happened to her, and I blamed myself for leaving. And now I... just don't really do anything but run away from it." Tears had slowly started to trickle down Nami's face, and though she tried to fight them back, she was unable to and simply found herself sitting there with a deadpan expression as the tears continued to fall. "It's all my fault.... but... Nici... I know what loss is like...." A half smile managed to work its way onto Nami's face, but after that, it fell again, and she found herself un-able to bring it up again. [/scrolly]

What he had done to his dad and his sister. He had always thought everything he did was just. How can that be when all he does is hurt people. Hope closed his eye's and let out a deep breathe. He was in some kind of trance before it was broken by a bark. Hope opened his eye's to see the little grey dog. "Everything ok?" Hope asked curiously. When she stared to tug at him he began to understand. He couldn't help but smile. "I'm not going in I feel to bad about making her cry. You go it's warm in there plus , that's where you belong that's where your friend's are. Me I don't have friends so I don't belong anywhere. Hope stood up and brushed the snow away. He proceeded to walk away. He looked over his shoulder to see the poochyena staring at him. Given his weakness to be mean to Pokemon. He walked back and then walked into the Pokemon center. He turned to see the two girl's and noticed Nami was crying. Hope thought's raced what happened now? He thought. [/scrolly]

At Nami's response, the nurse nodded, set the claw on the counter and hurried away to the back room where the Sneasel was.

The Zigzagoon twins blinked when Ken offered them to sit with him and looked at each other before finally walking over to the Combusken and jumping up onto a chair near Ken in unison. Looking over at Ken, the braver of the twins climbed onto the same chair Ken was in and laid down beside Ken in a rather small ball, enjoying relaxing for the time being. The other twin however seemed reluctant to do the same but finally got up the courage to follow her twin's example and snuggled against her twin.

The Poochyena wasn't buying what Hope said in the slightest and was about to bite down harder in an attempt to drag him into the Pokecenter only to find that Hope had already pulled free of her and was walking away. More surprised than anything, the Poochyena stared after Hope, wondering why he was leaving when the human suddenly turned around and headed into the Pokecenter. Pleased that her plan had worked after all, the Poochyena pranced trotted into the Pokecenter after Hope and looked to see the twins snuggled comfortably against the Combusken. It seemed the Sneasel was in the back room getting help so there was really nothing to worry about right now. Walking over by Ken, the Poochyena laid down underneath one of the chairs and placed her head on her paws, waiting to see what would happen now that they had finally reached the Pokecenter.

Tee hee. The girl sat there, eyes closed, letting the drowsy feeling in her mind take over. When she heard the cushion in the chair across from her go down slightly, with Blaze still in her lap, napping from his battles, her eyes flew open, nerves shot. She found only Nami, resting her eyes as a groan slipped her lips. Nicki wasn't the only one tired, it seemed. After days of travels, it might be nice to find someone comfortable to sleep. This couch might not be so bad. She leaned her head back again, falling back into a quiet place. A warm one. When Nami started speaking again, Nicodemus looked at her with awe, shock filling her mind. Was this really what she'd done? Nicki felt her throat swell, guilt jamming it. She hadn't just let her emotions go, but she'd opened a dark past of someone she barely even knew. "Nami, stop crying. Please. You were a kid, you didn't know what you were doing. It's not your fault." Hope's entrance was faintly heard, Nicki's mind glued on Nami. How could she fix this? A quick idea filled her mind. She'd rather have someone hate her than see them cry right in front of her. She turned to Hope, "I'm really sorry Hope. I didn't mean what I said out in the ice field." She looked at both of them simultaneously, "I lied, made the whole thing up. It seemed like a good way to get back at you," she looked up at Hope. She could feel her heart pound. How do you lie about lying?"I'm sorry, I really am. You're probably a really nice guy, I just lost it. And Nami, you're the most selfless person I know. What about the Zizagoons? Or that Sneasel? That Sneasel would be dead if it wasn't for you." [/scrolly]

She'd remembered that look on Nicodemus's face, and it hadn't been a lie had it? She... she wasn't sure now.... Biting her lip hard and finally bringing an arm up to wipe away a few stray tears, Nami breathed inwards trying to grab a hold of herself. She hadn't cried in so long, and now it was just.... ugh this sucked. That was the only way she could begin to describe it. It sucked. Breathing inwards, she managed to calm herself a bit more and ended up staring a tad blankly into space. "I.... I'm sorry.... I... just... really need to get some sleep," she murmured before standing up and looking at Hope for a moment. A half smile came and faded from her face again before Nami walked back towards the back to possibly ask the Nurse Joy about a room. Ken remained where he was and sighed outwards quietly snuggling into the two Zigzagoon and sighing to himself a tad tiredly. He wasn't sure what to say if anything at all. He simply just shook his head and mentally prayed to Arceus that everything would work out alight in the end. [/scrolly]

He saw her she was crying she was hurt no way she could have faked it. Could she ? was she really that good? Hope's gut told him no and that's what he wen't with. He saw Nami a women in tears not 5 seconds ago stand up and smile. As she walked past him he turned his head to see her walk over to nurse joy. Gone about five minutes and Nami was in tears. He felt that somehow it was what he had done. was it the sneasel? was he ok? Hope's mind raced with a million different possibilities of what might have happen'd. He calmed himself and looked at Nici"Lying is a bad habbit." he said before walking over to Nami. "Is he ok? Insert awkward silence here are you ok?" Hope was slightly nervous that he stepped out of bound's with that question. [/scrolly]

[Maid Melody]

The nurse had just finished working on the Sneasel who by this time was resting quietly when she spotted Nami and smiled, "Why hello there, you'll be happy to hear that the Sneasel will be just fine and is now resting. Was there anything else I could assist you with?"the nurse said in a kind voice.

The Zigzagoon twins were clearly enjoying themselves and loved being petted by the Combusken. It was so warm in here and after all the commotion they were just ... tired ... after a time the twins went to sleep, still snuggled up against Ken.

The Poochyena listened to Hope and Nicki with interest, making a small woof in agreement with Nicki about Nami saving the twins and the Sneasel. She still was rather neutral about the whole thing and would prefer to remain out of it but the humans had helped them ... so it would only be right to try to cheer them up.

[Nicodemus]

The girl smiled down at the Poochyena, patting it's head, it's fur still slightly chilled. "Thanks, girl." She could use all the help she could get, even if it did come from a Pokemon. She was just digging herself a hole, deeper and deeper. She found herself staring after where Nami had gone when Hope had taken her attention once more. She sighed, "You have no idea."

Laying her head against the couch, she closed her eyes. All the exhaustion was catching up, and she just wanted to sleep. It was moments like this when she really did want her mom. She'd hold her and feed her and even cook up creamy hot chocolate. Nicki never cried with her mother around.

Her arms found themselves around her Quilava, not quite picking him up or holding him, but still enough to find comfort from his fiery furred body. He tensed for a moment, but let her. Blaze loosened up and simply stared out at the wall with annoyance written all over his face. This was what she had Dream for, not him. He was here to fight.

However, when the Nurse spoke, Nami;s attention went back to her and nodded her head. "Thank you for telling me... I.. was wondering if you wouldn't mind it if me and my friends stayed here the night," she stated aloud but still rather quietly. "I'll... be ok," she murmured at Hope after a moment. Her stomach was still cringing under the surface but... but she was going to have to stay strong. Ken continued to just sit but was now watching Nicki a bit now. <Mmm...> was all the Combusken finally said before shaking his head slowly. [/scrolly]

He was relived that the sneasel was OK he doubted it was seriously hurt anyway. He had been in many battles all his Pokemon healed after a few hours or so. Then again it had the razor claw in there so he couldn't be to careful. He looked at the poochyena and wondered what would happened if he hadn't come in. He spoke in general knowing he had a place to stay. "I'm going to head to the store you two wan't anybody wan't anything?" he asked politely looking from Nicki to the poochyena to Nami. [/scrolly]

The nurse smiled at Nami and nodded,"Of course you may, the rooms are just down the hallway and to the right. The Razor Claw is yours to keep if you'd like, or you could give it back to the Sneasel, whichever works seeing as it was his to begin with. Is there anything else I can help you with?"she said in a kind voice.

The Poochyena wagged her tail when she was pet and barked again, hopping onto the couch beside Nicki and curling up next to her. The couch was by far more comfortable than the floor anyway, and Nicki seemed to be sad ... either that or tired.

She let it lay beside her, a gentle hand falling to just behind it's ears, rubbing in soft circles, fingers enjoying the smooth gray fur. The pup was like a little teddy bear. "Hey Pup." Blaze was already squirming out of her grip, heading for his own Pokeball, eager to get away from the curling and holding and all that bull. By the time Nicki realized what he was doing, he was already gone into his own ball. She sighed, shrugging. Despite she had a wild Pokemon at her side, enjoying her company, she still couldn't shake the feeling of exhaustion. At hearing the Nurse, she found it hard to resist the fact that she could already be sleeping in her own room, in her own temporary bed. It'd been too long since she'd had a bed. But she wouldn't abandon the pup, not yet. Nicki would wait until the little gray fur ball decided to run off on her own. No need to give the Poochyena abandonment issues, if that was even possible. "If you wouldn't mind picking up some pokemon food, I'd pay ya back when you get back," she stated rather slowly. At the Nurse's question, Nami looked back at the woman. "I think the Sneasel should have it..." she finally answered back. Ken remained where he was but looked sideways at Nici and the Poochyena for a few seconds before looking forwards again. Maybe... nah..... [/scrolly]

Hope looked at Nami and nodded before he left the store. Upon leaving he looked upwards at the sky. he stood there and wondered How his sister was doing. After about a minute or so he pressed forwards. Looking for a market of some sort. A chance encounter that has changed me as a person. Hope thought to himself Nami, Nici and the Pokemon as well. Hope smirked and thought what a strange day he had. He looked to the left to find a little flee market. "Perfect." Is all he said before entering the market.

[Maid Melody]

The nurse nodded at Nami and smiled,"Of course, I will give the claw to him when he wakes. For now though why don't you all get a good night's rest, you look positively exhausted."

The Zigzagoon twins continued to sleep curled up next to Ken, oblivious to anything that was going on around them.

The Poochyena snuggled up against Nici when she was pet and wagged her tail, obviously enjoying the attention.

Such a harmless little creature. She wondered what it's life was like. Out in the snow all the time, all by itself. Or did it have a family? Did it have a mother? A father? Maybe even a sibling? Did it have anyone it could stick by whenever she got lonely? Pokemon had to have families. They were better than humans. Their families didn't split up. Her neck burned and she looked up, seeing Nami's fire Pokemon look at her. What was up with him? She sent it a questioning gaze, knowing that even though it wasn't human, it still understood. Hope would be back soon with food, and she could give some to the Poochyena, and it would be content and go home. Then Nicodemus could go to sleep. In a bed. With blankets and soft pillows. She couldn't wait. Heaven was calling her and she couldn't answer it yet. It was on hold, patiently awaiting her arrival. [/scrolly]

Looking back towards Nici for a moment and then back at the nurse Joy, Nami bowed a bit. "Thank you," she finally stated bowing a bit. "I'll wait until he gets back and then head to bed." she murmured making a directional motion towards where Hope had gone before then slowly walking over towards the couches again. Ken continued to watch Nici, and as the young woman seemed to notice this, he simply nodded his head slowly. "Busken," he answered back as though something along the lines of 'I understand'. However, it was truly up for debate as to what exactly Ken was getting at or understood at that point even in his own mind. [/scrolly]

Hope walked into the market and heard a ding as a bell above his head rang. He walked to the back of the store to find some Pokemon food. He got three thermos's full of Pokemon food. One for everyone the least he could do is help them out. He walked over and picked up some apples he put them in a bag and tied it in a knot. He then put the items down on the checkout counter. Thankfully there was no line.

[Maid Melody]

The nurse nodded her head and smiled, "Of course~. If there's anything else please don't hesitate to ask,"she said before bowing her head and heading to the back to check on the Sneasel.

The Poochyena seemed to be able to tell that Nici was tired and whined softly, licking her on the cheek.

The Zigzagoon twins continued to sleep snuggled against Ken contentedly.

When Hope entered the store, the cashier looked up at him as the bell rang and nodded his head in greeting,"Good evening, let me know if you need any help."

It was a full on laugh. Was she seriously attempting to talk to a Combusken? She must be more tired than she really was. Nici smiled and blinked at the fire creature, nodding slightly to let him know at least she heard him. Though for whatever reason he was talking to her was still pretty fuzzy. A warm tongue brushed her cheek and she felt herself quiver. She looked down, to look at the big scarlet eyes the Poochyena stared at her with as it whined. "Am I missin' the memo or somethin'?" She grinned at the pup, her cheeks warming up as she flushed from all the attention. Of course, it had to be from Pokemon. Nicki simply figured she wasn't the social type, and she learned to get along without human companionship. She had her Pokemon and that's all she really needed. Her attention switched to Nami as she walked over, slowly. "Aye," Nicki managed a smile, "Wanna sit?" She was beginning to feel a little better, even if she was really tired. The pup on her lap was way too friendly to resist the temptation. Maybe it'd cheer Nami up, too. [/scrolly]
