The young woman dug her nails into the fresh dirt while positioning her body correctly. She arched her torso up then bent her arms back to support her weight. Her arms and head were beneath her stomach and back, parallel with the ground. Then she kicked one leg up, following with the other, until she was in a hand stand. Cassi giggled softly as she wandered around on her hands, looking around at the now upside down world. The woman let herself fall back on her bare feet and return to an upright stance.
It was early morning, the perfect time for stretching and yoga. Cassandra had found a spot in the woods on the outskirts of the city where she could find solitude. This was the only time when Cassi really liked to be alone. At all other hours she enjoyed the company of other people, but for now she was at peace with herself.
Cassandra looked to her side where Eros laid peacefully among scattered brown leaves. The shiny absol snored contentedly. His sleep schedule deviated from his trainer's. Eros liked to sleep all day and stay up all night. Cassi liked to stay up most of the night as well, but she also liked being in the sunshine. To have the best of both worlds, the trainer took to staying up late, waking up early, and napping in the midday.
The girl whistled softly, calling to her other pokemon that were exploring somewhere nearby. Midnight was sleeping in a tree above Cassandra, one eye opened lazily when the girl whistled. Solo the togetic floated up to his trainer happily and embraced her in a hug. Cassi hugged her exuberant pokemon back with a smile. Solo always put her in a great mood. Now there was only one pokemon still unaccounted for. Cassi whistled again, this time she was greeted by a harsh scraping noise which startled the sleeping pokemon into consciousness. A shiny skarmory landed on the ground a few feet from her trainer, an annoyed look in her eye.
"Well now that everyone's here, let's go explore." Cassandra suggested with a smile.

It was still early in the morning, yet the steady sound of something could be heard. The beat of wings perhaps? Indeed it appeared so as the sound of flight continued to grow louder still. A Scyther flew only a hundred meters away from where Cassandra was.

Cassandra whipped around when she heard the steady thrum of fast wingbeats. For a moment she was excited, thinking that there was another flying pokemon for her to capture. She was slightly disappointed when she saw that the pokemon was a scyther. It was a powerful pokemon, that she knew, but it was also a bug. Cassi had never been fond of bugs, actually she was quite frightened of them. Having bird pokemon was a comfort because they could keep the insects at bay. However, the scyther was partly a flying type. "They say the best way to get over a fear is to confront it head on." She said to her pokemon.
The trainer looked over her four pokemon thoughtfully. What one did she want to use for this battle? Cassandra knew that her shiny skarmory wasn't the most friendly character around, and she had a desire to earn the pokemon's respect. Cassandra had yet to battle with Razorblade, "What better time than the present?"
Cassi walked over to the metal bird and placed a hand on the shiny head. Razorblade appeared unsure about having the human so close to her but tolerated it for the moment. "Come on Razor, lets battle together." The skarmory cawed loudly then flapped her sharp wings, taking to the air. "Go after that scyther with air slash."

The Slash caught the Scyther off guard, and the green bug pokemon was set off course for a moment and bashed into a tree. Shaking his head and staring at the pokemon that had attacked him, the Scyther forced himself up and formed a Razor Wind attack. Using it as fast as he could, the Scyther attacked.

The bird flew into the attack, taking the hit proudly. Her metal coating provided a great defense against attacks, especially if they were already weakened by a type disadvantage. The wind did almost nothing to the steel pokemon and she grinned. <Nice try.> She taunted then dove down for a fury attack. Razorblade pecked mercilessly at the skarmory, wanting to make it suffer. She didn't care what her trainer wanted, right now this battle was hers alone.

The Furry Attack hit the Scyther causing him to flinch and recoil a fraction. Irritated, the Scyther used a Double Team before suddenly rushing forwards and using a Slash towards the Skarmory. He refused to go down that easily!

In response to the scyther's clones, Razor created some of her own and avoided the slash. Once her copies were busy flying around the scyther she flapped her wings and let loose an icy wind. The shiny skarmory then dove down at the bug, hoping to stab at its chest with a drill peck.
Well, they weren't exactly battling together, but Razorblade seemed to be doing pretty well on her own. "Good job, Razor." Cassandra routed her pokemon on, trying to get in on the fight. Her pokemon seemed to want nothing to do with her.

The Icy Wind destroyed a few of the clones that the Scyther had and did some damage to him as well. He managed to avoid the Drill Peck to the chest, yet was hit by it on the wing instead. Recoiling and forming more clones before shaking his head and using a Slash again, the Scyther moved forwards once more. However, he was taking on damage quickly.

The shiny skarmory flew up when she saw the many scythers coming towards her. The real bug managed to get his scythe hooked around one of her talons. The bird pokemon, annoyed, decided to grab onto the scythe with her claws and continue soaring upward.
Cassandra saw this as an opportunity to get in a powerful move. She wasn't sure if Razor also saw the opening, so she would give out the order, "Now use flash cannon!" Razorblade glanced down quickly at her trainer and thought about the move. The steel pokemon nodded then aimed a blast of light at the bug pokemon below her.

Hit directly by the Flash Cannon, the Scyther was knocked straight out and fell over without another word. He lay sprawled out on the ground unconscious only managing to sigh outwards due to the pressure leaving his lungs. Not far off, a light sound rang out before falling into silence. What could it be? Would Cassandra go find out?

Cassandra jumped up happily and cheered on her pokemon in their first win together, "That was great, Razor." She commended the skarmory proudly. The bird pokemon landed beside her trainer, feeling only slightly closer to the human. The trainer looked toward her other pokemon, "Should I catch it?" Cassi couldn't get a direct answer out of any of them, so she decided against it.
The strange noise now captured her attention and she beckoned to her pokemon to follow. "Come on, let's find out what that could be."

As one walked along, the noise repeated itself and began to become discernible. "Pachiiii!" a Pachirisu squealed with joy as she climbed higher up a tree that could now be seen a few meters off. "Get back here fiend!" a woman's voice answered this happy call with an irritated. A very distressed looking woman was standing at the base of said tree with her hands on her hips as she looked up at the electric pokemon. "That was a family heirloom!" she shouted at it not even noticing anyone else approaching.

Cassandra debated with herself on whether or not she should just walk away from the situation. It wasn't her business, and the woman would probably get back the "heirloom" from the pokemon eventually. Still, she couldn't deny the urge to help and walked up to the woman. "Excuse me," She began politely, "Would you like some help?" She asked while looking up at the thieving pokemon.

The woman turned her head around surprised for a moment before registering that there was another person there. "Ah...well...um... if you can get that Pachirisu down..." she made a motion to the electric squirrel pokemon up in the tree. The Pachirisu had stopped and one could see that she was holding some sort of necklace in one hand even as she moved about. The woman sighed outwards obviously unsure of what to do.

Cassandra nodded, "I'll take care of this," She said reassuringly to the woman then turned to her togetic, "Solo it's up to you." Cassi pointed up into the tree, "Fly up there, use yawn, then use psychic to get the necklace away from pachirisu." Solo floated happily up to where the pachirisu was and hovered above the branch. He yawned loudly, making sure the electric type could see, then focused his psychic powers on making the necklace come to him.

The Pachirisu yawned in response to the Togetic and looked back rather sleepily for a sudden moment. She had been energized one minute but was now tired the next and couldn't quite understand why. After a moment, the Psychic succeeded in causing the necklace to fly away from the Pachirisu's grasp. The electric pokemon made a sudden reach for it again, yet she was becoming drowsier by the moment and began to yawn even more. The necklace floated back towards Solo.
The woman watched all of this and sighed outwards before finally smiling. "Thank you..." she said once she saw that the necklace was moved away from the Pachirisu.

Cassi nodded approvingly, "Good job, Solo. Now bring it down slowly and give it to this woman." The togetic obeyed his trainer, guiding the floating jewelry through the air and into the lady's hands.

The woman took the necklace back and seemed to breathe out putting a hand to her heart and then smiling. "Thank you, dear," she smiled even more now. "That silly squirrel is just terrible sometimes." She shook her head and then looked back to see the Pachirisu now all but dozing on the branch. The woman seemed to think to herself for a moment and then looked back at the purple haired girl. "Thank you again.. I wish I could do something in return for this..."

The money-hungry side of her personality whimpered inside her brain, but she ignored it. Usually when she did a job, it was more difficult and actually worth the reward. Even though she almost desperately needed the money, Cassandra wasn't about to ask for it. Occasionally her pride sprung up to maintain her self-image. "Oh, don't bother." She said with a smile, "It was no trouble at all."

The woman seemed to smile a bit more. "Alright, thank you again," she stated before starting off again stepping back and waving before continuing on again. Not far off, a few men seemed to walk and talk with one another. It seemed to be getting a bit busier now. A young boy followed the men as well. Where were they going? Who knew.
