A man walked slowly and methodically past the grave stones, looking at each one closely. He had heard of this place as a child many decades ago, and was interested in the rumor that it was possessed by evil spirits. Of course Osiris believed in spirits, but he doubted that they would harm the living. Just in case, he planned on showing the dead that lay here his utmost respect.
He stopped at a particularly showy tomb stone. It was of white marble, and reflected almost like a mirror. The spire was impressive in high and was perhaps a foot taller than Osiris. He tapped his cane lightly on its side after reading the inscription, "Ah.." He exhaled knowingly. "I remember this surname." One of his wrinkled fingers reached out to trace the letters, "This family was once one of the richest in Era." The Era he spoke of was before his time. The family that now interested him had died out after its last descendent failed to marry.
His lip twitched quickly, the facial tick might not have been detected should someone have accompanied him to the grove. The thought that his family and his genetics would also be lost to the world worried Osiris. In most cultures consummating and reproducing were important themes, how else would you keep a people alive? His sexual orientation was not beneficial to that goal in the slightest, which was possibly why religions frowned upon it.
"I don't even like kids." He reminded himself. The only thing that sparked his interest in children was how quickly they could be indoctrinated into a faith. Still, he was only the slightest bit nagged that nature had plans for him. "Maybe I could clone myself." He mused with a chuckle. Osiris stopped worrying when he remembered that he could not die. His genes would not be wiped clean from the slate because he would always be there.

Not far off, a Poochyena lay at the foot of a tombstone with his ears back and his eyes shut. From any angle, the dark dog pokemon appeared asleep, but in truth, he was actually listening intently for any sounds of movement and trying to register what said movements were without looking up.

Osiris glanced toward the dog pokemon that rested on a gravestone. It reminded him of his own poocyhena, Incubus. The poor soul was so depressed, and Osiris didn't have the slightest clue why that was. Maybe he needs more socialization? The man thought to himself. Poocyhena were pack pokemon, after all.
From his pocket he withdrew a pokeball. His pointer finger pressed the button, enlarging the sphere then releasing the pokemon that waited inside. "There now, have some fresh air." He said with a pleasant smile.
Incubus found himself in the middle of some graveyard. He sniffed around cautiously then slunk toward his trainer. The shiny pokemon stayed low to the ground, both his tail and ears sticking to his body. <What?> He asked in a bland monotone, looking up at his master.
The trainer bent down and patted the poochyena on the head, "Just thought you'd enjoy keeping me company." He said, not really expecting his pokemon to agree. "And there's another poochyena over there. It might be good for you to say hello." The gold hound groaned, <Must I?> He asked, annoyed. The man nodded and the poochyena trudged off toward the other of its species, grumbling all the way.
<Hello...> He said to the apparently sleeping pokemon.

The other Poochyena's ears twitched at the voice, and he opened an eye and looked at the shiny before closing his eye again. <Sup?> he asked in a rather laid back voice to the other Poochyena.

Incubus was glad that the other pokemon wasn't hyper, aggressive, or in any other way annoying. Maybe he could get out of this quickly. <My human wants me to make some friends I guess..> The shiny poochyena felt like a loser for saying that but continued, <So that's what I'm doing.>

The other Poochyena raised an eyebrow and brought his head up to look at the other now. <You're trainer?> he asked before sitting up fully. <Weird....but whatever....> he shrugged. <So since you're a human's pokemon.. do ya have a name?>

<Yeah,> He responded, <My name's Incubus.> The poochyena glanced back to Osiris, wondering how long he would have to talk to the wild pokemon. He'd much rather fight something or sleep than socialize. The man appeared to be happy to see Incubus talking with another pokemon.

The other Poochyena nodded at this and then looked off towards the human. <He seems pretty laid back> he commented before scratching his ear a bit. <Cool> was the general answer to the name. After a moment, something moved not far of and caught the Poochyena's attention for a few seconds.

Incubus followed the other pokemon's gaze to somewhere not far off. He wanted any excuse to stop talking, <What was that?> He asked, feigning curiosity. Incubus trotted back to Osiris' heels, <I think there's something around here, we should check it out.> He said with an affirmative nod.
The trainer thought on it for a moment then agreed, "Good idea, Incubus." He said then walked toward the spot where he had seen movement. It was most likely a pokemon of some sort.

The other Poochyena watched and said nothing but watched the movement for a bit until his eyes finally caught sight of the pokemon not far off. A Sableye stared out from behind a tree and appeared to be watching the group carefully.

Incubus growled at the sableye that seemed to be stalking them from behind a tree. Osiris raised his eye brows, "Hm.." He seemed rather interested in the pokemon. "You there, sableye." Osiris called out to the wild pokemon. "Yes I see you. Now would you care to join my team?" If the sableye refused, the man might send out Incubus to fight it.

The Poochyena saw the motion and seemed rather bored now. Starting to walk off, the Poochyena began to disappear. The Sableye watched with a mischievous grin and shook his head at the man.

Osiris had read myths detailing sableye that stole human souls, and this made him want the ghost type. Shedinja was another pokemon rumored to take souls, but sableye appeared more malevolent. "Very well," He replied, "Then Incubus, would you be so kind and use odor sleuth follow by brick break?"
Incubus barked in response then took a deep whiff of the sabeleye's scent. Having identified it, he was then able to attack with the fighting technique.

The Sableye was hit caustically by the Brick Break due to the Odor Sleuth just previous it. Falling back a moment, the dark and ghost type shook his head and then grinned before using Claw Sharpen and then releasing a Brick Break of his own.

The brick break landed squarely on the poochyena's chest. Incubus fell backward on his rump, and growled. <Oomph!> He shook it off then went back into the fight. "Looks like now would be a good time for payback." Incubus nodded then rushed forward to attack.

The Sableye formed a Detect and dodged the blow of the Payback smirking as he went. Using another Claw Sharpen, the Sabeleye grinned mischievously.

"Hm.." Osiris rubbed his chin, feeling the slight stubble there. "Why don't you use taunt, Incubus." The shiny pokemon stood tall, <Yeah, just try and hit me!> He dared the sableye, forcing the wild pokemon to only use attack moves.
"Good show. Now use fire fang."

Irritated by the Taunt, the Sableye waited for the next attack, and as the Fire Fang came at him, the Sableye cringed at the fiery bite on his arm before releasing an Aerial Ace using that arm to try and throw the Poochyena back.

"I think a me first attack would do well here, Incubus." Osiris mentioned while gazing off into the lifeless woods. There was a slight chill in the air and the man wrapped his coat more securely around his body.
The shiny poochyena panted slightly then lunged at the sableye with a stronger version of its own aerial ace.

The Aerial Ace hit the Sabeye, yet the ghost and dark type simply smirked as he was hit by the attack. Forming another Brick Break, the malicious pokemon was ready to take down this annoying attacker for good. Not far off, something else moved behind a stone tomb. It appeared the Poochyena from before was watching the battle from a safer distance.
