<sup>Breathing foggy little clouds out, Riku padded through the thick forest. Her feet crunched satisfyingly on the snow as she went. Clinging to her arm and seeming to be perfectly comfortable was Lucretia, her beloved Octillery who hadn't been placed in a Pokeball since she was purchased. Next to Riku walked another of her recently-obtained Pokemon - a Piloswine.

His name was Blizzard, she had been told at the adoption center, and he seemed to be resigned to having a new trainer, though not exactly comfortable yet. Indeed, Blizzard trudged through the snow beside his new trainer without hesitation, even knowing that it would end up as some 'bonding' experience. As if he would ever look up to this prissy prettygirl trainer as a leader. He rolled his eyes beneath the thick fur covering them. He would battle for her, fine, but he would do it his way.</sup>

[Jay]

Not far off, a Gastly floated through the trees as though oblivious to the human and her pokemon not far off. He seemed to be searching for something with the way that he was looking from side to side but not bothering to turn completely around.

[Rarity]

<sup>Riku spotted the Gastly and smiled, moving towards it with grace and continuously crunching footsteps.

"Wanna battle~?" she purred to the Ghost-type, indicating her Piloswine to be the Gastly's opponent if he agreed. Blizzard said nothing, merely sat there next to his trainer like a rock. Lucretia also said and did nothing, but she kept clinging to her trainer's arm.</sup>

[Jay]

Startled by the sound, the Gastly turned and seemed to look suddenly intimidated for a moment before bursting into tears and flying a few more feet away. Well... that wasn't the best reaction.... Would Riku pursue him?

[Rarity]

<sup>Riku blinked at the Gastly, wondering just what the hell was wrong with the Ghost-type. She shrugged and let it go, placing her hand on Blizzard's.. head? Hump? Whatever that high part of a Piloswine was, she placed her hand there.

"Yeah, let's keep moving." she said and did just that. Blizzard didn't much like the hand on his.. whatever it was, but he didn't protest aloud.</sup>

[Jay]

There appeared to be no other pokemon for a bit. However, in another minute, a Vulpix came running straight towards Riku as though she didn't even see the girl or her pokemon.

[Rarity]

<sup>The woman spotted the Vulpix coming at her and wondered why canine Pokemon never seemed to see her when they ran near her. She tried to get it's attention.

"Hey there..~" she said, loud enough for the fox to hear from slightly far away.</sup>

[Jay]

Hearing the voice, the Vulpix eventually stopped and looked around confused on who was speaking. Finally seeing the human, he grinned a bit and trotted over. "VUL!" he called in a greeting all his own.

[Rarity]

<sup>Riku smiled at the Pokemon; she adored Vulpix, so this one was no exception.

"Hi! You wouldn't happen to be up for a battle, would you?" Once again, Blizzard didn't move, but this time he gave a little snort to show that he was paying attention.</sup>

[Jay]

The Vulpix turned his head to one side and then the other before nodding an 'alright'. Meh... not much else to do today so why not? Backing up now, the Vulpix waited for some sort of attack.

[Rarity]

<sup>Surprisingly, Riku didn't send Blizzard to fight the Vulpix; instead, she placed Lucretia on the ground. Even though it was snowy and cold, Lucretia was used to freezing oceans and didn't mind one bit.

"Use Focus Energy and Gunk Shot to start out." Riku instructed, and Lucretia did just that.</sup>

[Jay]

The Vulpix scrambled as the Gunk Shot came at him and dodged the bulk of it but was hit with at least some of it. Crying out, he shook his head rather irritated before seeming to think of something. Smirking, the Vulpix used Attract.

[Rarity]

^{Where a normal female Pokemon would have been head over heels for a male Pokemon using Attract, Lucretia happened to be a feminist and more into other females than males anyway, so the Attract earned the wild Vulpix little more than an annoyed look and an Octazooka. Riku appeared to be impressed with her lovely octopus and decided to allow her to fight on her own until she seemed to need help.}

[Jay]

Hit by the Octazooka, the Vulpix fell backwards and twitched for a moment before slowly sitting back up again and shaking his head. Gunk had gotten in his eyes, and he found it a tad harder to see. Forming a Flamethower, the Vulpix released it.

[Rarity]

^{The Octillery was scorched by the Flamethrower, which didn't do too much damage on its own, but she appeared to have sustained a burn as well. Ignoring this, she aimed a Gunk Shot at the annoying vulpine, wishing to get the fight over with so she could go back to clinging to her dear trainer.}

[Jay]

The Gunk Shot hit the Vulpix and caused him to fall back again. Suddenly, something in him twitched. Ack... poison. It had found its way into him, and the small fire pokemon was now cringing from the fast working poison in his system. Trying desperately to think of something that he could use that would finish the battle as fast as possible, the Vulpix used a Fire Blast. However, the fire itself went off in a completely different direction due to his low accuracy and the general lower accuracy of the move.

[Rarity]

^{Lucretia blinked at the Vulpix, cringing slightly from her burn when it damaged her a bit. She decided to finish this battle quickly with one more Octazooka; if this didn't do it, she wasn't sure what would.}

[Jay]

The Octazooka hit the Vulpix and made him fall back into the snow. Twitching a few times, the Vulpix tried to fight his way up. However, the poison seemed to be the sudden and rather violent end to him as he he flailed a moment and suddenly fainted from it.

[Rarity]

^{"Heee~" Riku looked gleeful as she threw a Pokeball at the damaged Vulpix, happy to have the fox Pokemon as a part of her team, then began looking around for more Pokemon. Lucretia was indifferent to her new teammate and happily climbed back up Riku's leg to rest on her shoulder.}

[Jay]

The pokeball sealed around the Vulpix and actually shook several times before finally ringing in capture.

Ability: Flash Fire
Personality: Rather hardheaded and determined to prove himself, this Vulpix likes to show his power through battling. He tends to charge straight forwards into any situation but does show a few prospects of strategy every once in a while. Though he can be quite a mule of sorts, he actually respects his trainer quite a lot and would go quite far  to ensure her happiness.


Far off, a Spoink could be seen hopping around followed closely by a Shiftry who appeared to be keeping tabs on the other pokemon for some reason or another.
