Zack had entered the gorge by climbing down the rocks. He was here to do some intense training because after his encounter with the Weavile he realized he needed his team to be stronger. He was climbing down with Plus and Minus and was looking around for either trainers or pokemon.

Not far off from where Zack had climbed down, a metal bird could be seen sitting rather still and eying something in the rocks rather sharply. Within the rock area that the Skarmory was looking at, an Ekans could be seen slowly moving in and out of the rock space.

The Skarmory's eye slid over towards Zack, yet the bird didn't say anything for a moment but slid his eyes back to the snake. If it chose to attack, he'd attack, but then again... This human was unaware of the Ekans it seemed. The Ekans was smirking to himself and hissing quietly now seeing the bird and wondering if it would choose to fight him. If this were the case, he'd have at it. Neither party seemed to show any sort of awareness that Zack was there.

"Hmm?" said Zack surprised as the Skarmory looked at him and then turned back to the rock. "What could be so interesting under there..." he walked close enough and peered under the rock, seeing the Ekans. "Well...I did come here for battle practice.." he said as he threw out Sparky also "Alright for starters! Both of you Thunder on Skarmory!" he said as both Tini and Sparky both charged and fired off huge bursts of electricity.

The Skarmory was hit by the Thunder and cried out looking fearfully surprised at the boy for a moment. The Ekans took this opportunity to smirk and slither out from the rock before heading straight towards Zack and making to bite his arm.

"Ooooh!" said Zack as the Ekans came closer and tried to bite him "Pretty fast..but.." He pointed at the Ekans "Minus, Plus, Sparky, Tini...Thunderbolt!" All of the pokemon charged electricity and shot it at the Ekans "In the meantime...Go Pokeball!" he said throwing a pokeball at the Skarmory.

The Protect that encased the Ekans in that moment blocked all the electrical attacks, and all he did in return was smirk a strange smirk and hiss before using a Venom Shock towards Minus. The Skarmory cocked his head to one side and batted the ball back at Zack with his wing. Pft, human.

Red hair bobbed along the wall as a toned form made her way down the rocky side. Maybe about a mile away she heard pokemon battling. Her pokemon were all in their balls today. Which meant Rikka had been on her own. She had a feeling she was supposed to cross the rickety bridge but climbing was fun too. Her bag pulled her down as the gravity weighed on her. Jumping the last few feet she landed smoothly. Standing up she looked around still plenty of daylight. Blinking she headed in the direction of the fighting. only to spot an Ekans and a Skarmory. Boy they both were pretty. Standing back she watched though it seemed the Skarmory wasn't very impressed. |

Zack scratched his head "Sorry Skarmory" he said with a slight chuckle. "Well i'm sorry but I need some transportation...so..." he procedded to look at Tini "Use Extremespeed on Skarmory" he said as Tini zipped away "And Sparky you practice your Volt Tackle on him!" these were all attacks that these Pokemon struggled with so he figured it would be good practice.
"Now Plus if you want to protect people we'll start with Minus! Use Protect!" Plus dived in front of Minus and procedded to put up a flimsy barrier around Minus "Now Minus we don't really have any good attacks." Minus sucked in a a huge breathe of air and his fur began to sparkle. He then opened his mouth and fired a ungodly amount of electricity out at the Ekans. Minus then fell over exhausted though.

The Skarmory seemed to realize the challenge and then half smirked before suddenly bursting into the air with a Fly and dodging both attacks then and there. Dive bombing back down in another second towards the Dratini, the Skarmory finished the Fly attack. The Ekans hissed when being shocked so harshly by the electricity, yet he wasn't a water pokemon and therefore was still conscious. Forming another Venom Shock, the snake lunged towards the Plusle this time.

"Plus Protect!" He said encouraging Plus "Learn to Protect the things you care about!" he said as Plus put up another Protect which was stronger than the last one but still pretty weak.
"Tini! Fire Blast!" he said as Tini sucked in some air and shot a Fire Blast towards the Skarmory.

The Fire Blast almost nearly missed the Skarmory due to its general accuracy, yet it did in fact hit his wing and cause him to cry out for a moment before shaking his head and releasing a Swift of stars at the Dratini. The Ekans hissed again and seemed to slither around a bit before forming a Gunk Shot and shooting it at the Plusle.

"Tini dodge with Extremespeed!" said Zack. Tini wasn't used to using her new move so many times in a row but attempted anyway. She managed to dodge the Swift but her tail got caught on a rock. This rolled her into a boulder and hit her head on it.
"It's alright Tini!" he said encouragingly "Try a Flamethrower!" Tini shook her head and then fired the Flamethrower. "Now Pichu use Thunderbolt on Ekans!" He said as Pichu charged sparks and then fired them off at the snake pokemon. "Plus use Protect again!" Plus tried to put up another Protect but it failed so she was hit by the Gunk Shot.

The Flamethrower hit the Skarmory and caused the metal bird to cry out and falter a bit for a moment before managing to retaliate with yet another Swift attack. He wasn't going to give up just yet... They'd probably have to knock him out cold before he was willing to give up. The Ekans hissed and was suddenly electrocuted hard and fainted then and there. Eh...oh well.

The Swift hit Tini and she rolled over backwards. She tried to get up but couldn't manage to do so. "It's Alright Tini...I know you did your best.." he said as he walked over to help her "Plus, Sparky use Thunderbolt!" the two electric pokemon charged up some sparks and then fired a lightningbolt at the Skarmory.

The combined electrical force hit the Skarmory and caused the metal bird to faint. He'd taken quite a beating as it was, and that seemed to be the last of it on his part. After that, the area became rather quiet as for pokemon, anyways.

"Return Tini, Minus." Said Zack as he drew their pokeballs and returned them to them. "Go pokeball!" he said throwing a pokeball at Skarmory and then one at Ekans. "These guys look strong." he said to Sparky and Plus as they seemed exhausted from the intense fighting.

The pokeballs seemed to hit both pokemon and drew them inwards. The balls themselves shook a few times before ringing in capture.

Personality: This Skarmory believes himself to be a solider who protects just about anything that needs to be protected. He holds his friends close and wishes to ensure their happiness even at the cost of his own. He is very socially strict but has a gentle side especially towards young pokemon or those he is protecting. He doesn't seem to mind humans too much and respects his trainer.

Ability: Shed Skin
Personality: Fearless in every circumstance, this Ekans is quite a bully even if he knows he may be caught red handed for it. He hates when people think he is weak and won't hesitate to tease and torment creatures if he thinks that it will give him some respect. He can be very unnecessarily cruel especially towards baby pokemon and actually has quite a love of making them cry.
Far above, a few Spearow flew overhead, and a Nidoran-F was wandering around quietly below them.

That's enough training for today" he said as Plus was returned to her pokeball "Now Sparky..we still have alot farther to go with your Volt Tackle." he said excitedly <Couldn't we have trained in a city or something?> she said as she looked in disgust around her. "Let's go! We're gonna train your endurance in using Volt Tackle! Follow me while using it!" he said as he began to run off at full speed. Sparky quickly followed and soon became engulfed in a huge amount of electricity. They passed the Nidoran without even glancing at it and kept moving past rocks and such.
