Alone. All alone in this cruel world in which we live. That is how Alexander Blackheart was currently feeling. Although it is true that he has his family of pokemon that he holds close to his heart, nothing can truly replace the company of human beings. After a while, this lack of people has twisted Alex to become edgy around others, untrusting. Anchor was all true in his mind. He was alone.
Of course, this was but a figment of his mind. He just needed the right person to show him that. Alex walked with his Absol, Cali, at his side as he meandered about the swamp. It hadn't been all too long ago when he had first entered this region. He had not been to the capital yet; that would take convincing. He had also managed to avoid cities, although this was starting to become a problem for him and his team. No pokemon centers means no healing.
His older brother, Law the Tyranitar, was walking behind him. His Cyndaquil, Asha, was curled up in his arms. As he barely avoided a tree, for he was not focusing, Asha nuzzled into his chest to snap him out of it. He smiled down at his pokemon and gave her a gentle kiss to the forehead. He then looked at Cali, and placed a tired Asha on her back so he could drop back and hang about his older brother, quite literally. He leaped up Law's back and got onto his shoulder, sitting on the large's pokemons shoulder. He leaned against Law's head happily, and Cali with Asha on her back dropped back to walk next to Law.

Not far off standing on the top of the water, a Surskit could be seen skating around rather lazily. He was staring down at the water even as he skated on it. However, he did hear movement and looked up to see that there appeared to be a human with pokemon in the area. For a few seconds, he was mildly intimidated but decided to remain where he was and go back to staring at the water. Farther off from that a Bidoof could be seen chewing rather vigorously on a log. The beaver pokemon didn't even seem to realize there were others in the area that could possibly hear him. Eh... oh well....

Alexander was about to start talking to his pokemon. But he was interrupted by the Bidoof. He held up a hand and his family stopped. Alex slid off his shoulder and down his back, landing gracefully on the ground. Cali let Asha down to the ground, and Asha quickly jumped into Alexander's arms. Cali stood at Alex's side. He walked towards the beaver pokemon's rather loud racket.
Although Alexander failed to find the Bidoof, he did notice the Surskit. Law had stayed back, in order not to scare the pokemon. He smiled and knelt at the water's edge. Asha snuggled up in his arms and Cali laid down. "Well hello there little one. How are you?" he asked the Surskit. Alexander smiled to the pokemon that stood atop the water's surface. He wasn't one of those people who attacked every pokemon in sight. No, he avoided that if possible. Pokemon were family to him. Much more than humans.

The Surskit looked up rather surprised to be addressed by the human but simply raised an arm and waved to him in greeting back. After a few seconds, he looked down at the water again and stared at the foggy reflection back at him. It was so cool that the water could do that! At least to the small pokemon anyways. "Surs?" the Surskit asked point towards the water and wondering if the boy could see the reflection as well.

Alex nodded. "Yes, I can see it. It's amazing, isn't it?"
Alex sat down, crossing his legs. Cali rested her head on her front paws, once crossed over the other. Asha remained in his arms. He looked at the edge of the water, seeing his own reflection... well, not bad. He didn't look bad for someone who did so much traveling. He then looked back up at the Surskit. "You having a good day?" he asked the pokemon. He was doing this like it was any normal conversation with any normal person. Hey, you grow used to it when your family is made up of pokemon.

The Surskit raised two arms and even mimicked shoulders before making a shrug of sorts. Eh, it had been alright. He'd been nearly attacked earlier, but hat was common when one lived in this area, heh. At least he had been strong enough to defend himself. "Surs?" he asked now questioning the boy.

Alex smiled as the Surskit performed a makeshift shrug. As the Surskit questioned him, "Well, I've been having an okay day. Managed to sleep in late again," he said, smiling. After he finished that, he looked down at Asha, before looking back up at the Surskit. "Tell you what. How about you come travel with me? No one would be able to just walk up and attack you anymore."

._. Travel? He'd... never been out of the swamp, honestly.... and that thought hm... well... After a few seconds, the small pokemon seemed to generally nod his form in an 'alright' seeing as he lacked a fully distinguished head for some reason or another. <Where to?> he asked after a few more seconds.

Alex smiled. Good. "Well, im not headed in any particular direction at the moment." He laid down a pokeball on the water's edge for the Surskit. he stood up and took a step back. "Welcome to the family."

Hm... aimless for now? Eh, that worked for him. The Surskit slowly stepped towards the ball and then gently pressed said ball. Consumed with red light, the small Surskit disappeared inside the ball, and the ball itself shook little before finally ringing capture.
Name: Species: Surskit Gender: Male Ability: Rain Dish Personality: This Surskit is rather interested in the world around him. He often finds himself distracted by things he hasn't seen before and often spends quite a lot of time questioning why things work. He likes the idea of travel due to the fact that he can find out more and see more of the world. He generally trusts his trainer to make correct choices but does become a tad critical at times when said trainer makes a mistake and will often resolve after said moment to do things the way he thinks they should be done.
Not far off, something was swimming in the water rather quietly.... lurking even.....hm....

Alexander smiled and picked up the pokeball, letting out his new Surskit. He rubbed the top of his... head-body thing. "Welcome to the family, Peace," he said. Peace looked up at him. Cali's fur bristled as she sensed something lurking. Alexander and Peace looked at her. "What is it, sis?"

Alexander yelped as it managed to chomp down on his leg! Oh, no! He began to bleed badly! That's when Law came in. As he rushed over, Peace still cowered a little. Nevertheless, the Surskit was quick to protect his trainer, launching a Bubblebeam. Which wouldn't do much. Law, on the other hand, helped defend his little brother by using a Dark Pulse on the attacking pokemon.

Hit by the Bublebeam and the Dark Pulse, the Carvanha twitched at the two moves that were weak against him given his type and simply growled irritated before forming a Surf, the meat eating fish pokemon released the water attack and flooded the area even more than it was already.

Alexander managed to skink back to Cali with some help from Peace. Sure, the move did some damage. But not much considering Law's size. He glared down at the attacker. Yeah. It's screwed. He used HYPER BEAM!

The Hyper Beam might have had a confirmed hit if the Carvanha had not suddenly used Dive and disappeared under the water. The Hyper Beam hit the water and went into it for a good number of feet, yet none could tell now whether it had hit the large chomping fish or not. Suddenly, it had become eerily quiet..... <_< >_> oh dear....

Law waited for a moment before going over to help his little brother, whose right leg was now covered in blood. He groaned and pulled out a roll of gauze, starting to wrap up his leg. Peace used a light Wtaer Gun to wash off the blood from the large puncture wounds. Alexander could hardly get to his feet, so, Cali let him use her as a bit of a balance. "Thanks sis," he said quietly. She nodded. Law looked over at the water again.

The water was still unmoving for now at least. Farther off, a quiet Golduck was looking around from behind a tree. She had seen the attack and sighed sadly knowing that that particular devil fish had been attacking quite a few creatures in the area.

Law noticed the Golduck, but payed no heed. Instead, be focused on Alexander again. Alexander, however, saw the Golduck and did something risky. He stood on both legs, letting the pain even out. He then shambled over to the tree it was behind. "Well hello there," he said, smiling.

Suddenly a voice rang out in a questioning voice. More concerned then anything. "Kaiyou! Where are you?" Blond hair disappeared behind a tree as the girl walked forward. A small togepi not seeming to have noticed her trainer was looking for her found the golduck and walked up to her. "Tooki tree~" Risa raced through the swamp and noticed the other Trainer. Running over to him she almost failed to notice the young pokemon. Sweeping her up the Shiny ralts chastised the young togepi for wondering off so far. Mekura looked in their direction and started over only to stumble over a root. Gaining her balance she quickly hurried to her Pokemon's sides. Picking them up she looked over in the direction of the other trainer. "I hope Kaiyou didn't cause any trouble." Her Blue eyed gaze didn't seem to meet his and almost seemed to look past him.
