Rue wobbled around, getting dizzy and spazzing as the ground cracked and shook under her feet. She looked at her trainer desperately until the attack stopped, and then got to her knees as she tried to regain her bearings. Psychic, the little Pokemon thought, and her eyes grew pink as she attempted to aim at the Tropius despite the pounding in her ears. The attack zoned in on the grass Pokemon as the Gothita strained to shoot out each strand of energy she had left in her. If she fainted her buddy wouldn't think so highly of her... and Shasta would probably have to do something instead... or Jackie... or Esperanza.
Rue squeaked and released the attack.

The Psychic attack hit the Tropius and caused him to cringe. However, he was still a strong beast by nature and wasn't going to give up. Suddenly charging with a Body Slam, he made to hit the Gothita. Well at least one thing was certain, he was strong.

Rue felt the blast strong and hard and fell down, finally unable to get back up. "Rue!" Ashter called quickly, "Return!" The trainer immediately sent the Gothita back into the Pokeball, hoping up and down that the Tropius wouldn't see that as a loss on her part. Pllllleeeeaaasssseeee.... She picked out another Pokeball and sent out... Chimchar. "Come on, Esperanza," Ashter said as she uncapped the fiery monkey that resided inside. "Out with ya, and do a Flame Wheel!"
Esperanza stretched but snapped to attention rather quickly. "Of course, madam," she said, batting her eyelashes as she became enveloped in a flame. "You know I'll never let you down, I always like to fight for you humans, after all." She shot out towards the Tropius.

The fiery attack was much more effective on the Tropius than the other attacks had been. Cringing in pan from it, the Tropius leaned back greatly before leaning forwards again and looking determined. This seemed like a more worthy opponent even if it was still in a small stage. Flying up into the air, he took to higher in the sky before unleashing an Aerial Ace.

Jackie gasped. <Water! Sounds good!> She bounded down to the oasis, though yards from the other Pokemon, with Rue at her heels. <Deeelish!> The Mienfoo dipped her paws in the water first, scubbing as much of the sand off of them as she could, before cupping out a handful of water.
...Rue dunked her head in.
Shasta sighed, as she reluctantly led Ashter to the scene. The Mightyena gave a small, sheepish smile to the Cherubi, before looking back to where she'd seen the Liepard and others. Poor Cacnea, was he lost?
