An Alley? When did I get here? (Kero/Jay)

[Caden Bunny]

Caden was just sitting on his huge Luxray as he listened. It seemed.. he was safe. That was good, because his threat about frying him was really.. mostly a bluff. He didn't have the heart to kill somebody, even if they were trying to kill him. The shock he received would probably be the worst of it all. Caden seemed to be watching the events fold as a bag was suddenly tossed to him. In instinct, he turned to catch it. He then realized that he was holding Ashton, and the bag slammed him in the head. He fell back and off of his pokemon, landing on the ground. Ashton let out a cry but slowly got up. It seemed that it knew it must be strong. Caden slowly got back up as he checked his supplies. They were all here! Yes! He happily watched from his lion of safety.

[Lady Leaf]

For a slight moment Ieri’s shouted words to shut his mouth had shocked Adam. However that shock was quickly replied by a rather cruel grin. Very slowly he started to chuckle to himself and when the man finally finished talking Adam broke out into a fight of laughter. It seemed Adam had managed to piss off the big strong man. Such a pity. What would Adam do? Get down on his knees and beg for forgivingness? HA! He would rather be beaten to a pulp then ever apologize for crime he committed. Anyone who tried would be driven just as crazy as he was.

Kuu’s ears instantly pressed against his head when he saw the Hitmonlee move into it’s fighting stance. Kuu had been planning on maybe growling and showing his fangs a bit to detour them from wanting to battle. He didn’t actually want to battle. It was starting to look like he wouldn’t have a choice. It be up to him to keep the Hitmonlee away from Adam. <Your-your shoes untied?> Kuu stated stepping back from the Hitmonlee a bit. He wouldn’t make the first move.

Adam stopped laughing when Ieri demanded him to explain himself though the wicked grin his face stayed, “It was pure enjoyment.” Adam replied to the order. It was the truth after all. He enjoyed making others suffer which was the only real reason he had attacked the boy in the first place. The money he could make off of selling the stolen pokemon was just icing to the cake. Though Adam didn’t expect this man to understand why he enjoyed seeing others suffer. This man, Adam presumed, was one of those people who believed in justice. Protect the weak and punish the evil and all that crap. Adam hated those types of people. He also now hated Caden. One thing was for sure, if he managed to escape this alive he would hunt both these men down in the future and kill them.

“Are you going to punish me for hurting Caden” Adam teased taking a few steps back. As he slowly stepped back his shoulder rubbed against the hard brink of the wall. He really had no where’s to run with Ieri blocking the way out but he wasn’t going to stay in attack range if he didn’t have to. As he stepped back he thought about releasing another pokemon but was still hesitant on it. He only had Sky and Vince and wasn’t sure how many the red dressed man had. He knew Caden had all his pokemon back now. Was really worth risking injuries to his pokemon if the battle could not be won? Adam wasn’t so sure.

[Jay]

Lee raised an 'eyebrow' for lack of a better description of what exactly the flesh was that had moved. However, his eye didn't leave the Umbreon for a minute, and he simply continued to stand there ready to take one swift step forwards and turn form into a Double Kick. For a brief moment, he waited as he listened to see how Ieri'd actually react to everything before he reacted.

Ieri was far from impressed, yet his visage reflected nothing more than a stern military look that had rested on his features for far longer than one would have expected. Even as the tease of sorts hit the air, it didn't change the look Ieri was reflecting. However, under this, a rather irritated notion was running through his cerebrum. If the kingdom had been in correct order, people like this man would be locked up for good. It irritated Ieri that once again he was reminded of the fact that if he had simply succeeded in doing his job of protecting the queen nothing would have happened, and a subtle but prevalent storm was running through the knight's mind behind his stern calm face.

"I see," was finally what escaped Ieri's mouth. His arms crossed in front of himself, and if it was even possible, his face became even more stern. "Harming a child for enjoyment? You're nothing more than trash." Yep... something had definitely broken in Ieri. In another moment, he had stepped forwards rather quickly and made to punch Adam as hard as he could not in the head but in the jugular vein in his neck.

Lee took that signal from Ieri and moved forward releasing two simultaneous kicks at the Umbreon without a second thought on the motion.

[Caden Bunny]

Caden found himself just sitting on his Luxray and watching. He rocked Ashton a little bit as he watched. It seemed that he would be okay =3 He smiled and just watched. If needed, he would step in, but there wasn't much need for that as of now. He would stay out of the way until that time came.

[Lady Leaf]

Nothing but trash… Ah yes he had been told that since the day he was born. He was trash. He was a sin. A disgusting mistake who’s very life was only a reminder of the pain his mother had to endure. She had told him that everyday. He had heard it from the people on the streets when the looked down at him with disgust. He was poor, dirty, broken. Not worth the air he breathed in. So why would he expect this man to see him any differently? Why would he try to prove those words wrong when it was so much fun to damage the lives of those who had meant to be born. If he was meant to be trash compared to those around him than he couldn’t disappoint them.

Adam’s grin simply widened at Ieri’s words. Even if he had been planning on saying something he wouldn’t have had enough time for the next instant Ieri’s fist came forward and made contact with his neck. He had been expecting the blow to hit his face. After all, that’s where most people aimed. He could feel his body fall backwards, hitting the wall that blocked the other exit to the alleyway but he could no longer see what was happening. His mind went fuzzy and for a moment everything went black. He could register that there was pain but he didn’t really feel it nor did he call out. He just simply blanked out.

Kuu on the other hand had no time even register what had just happened to his master. The double kick came his way and he instantly put up a protective wall blocking the first kick. However the protect vanished after the first kick allowing the second to strike it’s target. Kuu let out a muffled cry as he fell to the ground. He could have gotten up again but decided it was best to pretend he couldn’t. There was nothing he could do to help Adam which meant there was no need for him to take a beating. So instead he just laid there pretending he was out.

[Jay]

Ieri breathed in and then out again and instead of walking towards Adam, he turned and simply walked away. He hadn't killed him... Ieri had been sure of that, yet the man may be knocked out for a bit of time.... As he walked back towards Caden, Ieri finally stopped a few meters in front of the boy and seemed to stare for a few seconds. "Are you alright?" was the first question that finally came from the muscular knight. The inner part of Ieri had slowly cooled again, and he even managed to offer a smile towards the boy.

Lee stared for a good few seconds in silence wondering if he had really downed the dark pokemon. A part of him... was... somewhat curious... And the Hitmonlee found himself taking a few steps towards Kuu before stopping. No... He'd walk away as Ieri did. With that, Lee turned on his heels and walked back towards the boy following Ieri's movements rather well.

[Caden Bunny]

Caden stared at him and smiled. He nodded happily. "Yeah, cause you saved me. I just lucked out to get away from him. If you came here while he had me.. well.. I would have been a hostage. Thank you so.. so much." Caden says, happily at first, then rather serious at the end. He really needed to start carrying pokeballs on him and in the bag so he always has protection. "I.. I really owe you. Is there something you need? Anything!?" Caden asks quickly. He was so happy that Ieri had saved him! He was about ready to give up money to him and pictures for it. That's if.. Ieri wanted them. Ashton was just sitting there quietly, looking around now. Bolt laid down while Caden was on him, but he slowly got off. It was safe now, so he wouldn't have to run away quickly if something happened.

[Lady Leaf]

Ta, tap, tap... Kuu heard the steps of the Hitmonlee as he finally walked away. When the steps stopped Kuu darted up and raced over to Adam as fast as his little legs could take him. Once he made it to Adam he looked and sniffed the boy over checking to see if he was ok. It appeared he was simply knocked out and nothing more. Once everything was checked out Kuu pressed his body against Adam's and laid down, setting his head between his paws. He would stay there and wait for his master to wake up... that is as long as no one made him move.

Ieri's eyes scaled over the boy, yet as Caden asked for anything there was he could do, the knight shook his head a bit and simply half smiled. "It's fine," was all he answered back with before looking as a sound caught his ears. Upon seeing the Umbreon go back to Adam whose name Ieri still didn't know, Ieri was quiet and debated what to do now. That man...Well... it wasn't really Ieri's place to continue this apprehension of sorts when he had already allowed himself to snap and lash out at this man. After a few seconds, he looked to Caden. "You might want to head home though," Ieri finally stated believing that Caden really did have a home to get home to at least somewhere in the city.

Lee fidgeted a little and had been almost ready to chase after the Umbreon but stopped when it seemed that Kuu was only going back to his trainer. The Hitmonlee could understand one wanting to be close to his trainer and therefore let it go. After a moment, he simply looked towards the pokemon that this boy hand and more or less 'nodded' to Caden's pokemon.

He.. didn't want anything? "Are you sure you don't want anything? I can give you money.. or.. if you want, I can give you a picture, or I can draw one of you or your pokemon. I happen to be a traveling artist~" Caden says happily. He bragged just a tiny bit with that, and it was the first time he had ever really done it. "Then I'll go to the safer place." Caden says with a smile. He felt safe now, and wasn't really scared. If he had been hurt by Adam though.. he probably wouldn't have been so easily over it. Bolt and Ashton smiled at Lee and nodded back to him. They didn't want to talk if he couldn't.. [/scrolly]

Ieri blinked at the young man and then seemed to understand that the boy wanted to show he was grateful someway. After a few seconds, he put a hand to his chest and nodded a bit. "Alright... a picture would be nice," he answered back. Suddenly lightning crackled. Ieri blinked in confusion and then looked towards the sky now seeing that it was all but black. The sky itself had started to change, and it appeared that rain was coming. Ieri found his eyes move back towards Adam, and something in him fidgeted as he debated whether or not he wanted to go to the trouble of.........well......it.....would be right... rather than anything else... and that was what was important.......After a moment, Ieri breathed out and then looked at the boy. "Though I think it will be a bit... I ..." Ieri broke off. He wanted to get Adam out of the approaching storm... why... he wasn't even sure....

[Lady Leaf]

Kuu saw the flash of lightening and heard it's roaring thunder but did not move from his spot. He would not leave Adam's side for anything. Not even a storm. Besides, he was use to bad weather. All of their homes had rather bad roofs, some had none at all, so they were use to being rained on. Kuu just hoped Adam would wake up soon so that he didn't end up getting sick when the rain actually began to fall. She didn't know how well Adam would be able to survive if he got sick living on the streets.

He suddenly ran over to Adam and began trying to pick him up. He was struggling, yet he couldn't just leave this guy out here. Caden wasn't the type of guy to do that. He would allow himself to get hurt as long as he knew he was doing good. If Kuu wanted to hurt him.. then so be it. Caden would back off, but if not, he would attempt to take the man to the safety of a porch at least. He didn't want the rain killing somebody who had no chance of safety. That wasn't right.. and Caden couldn't live with the fact that he let somebody die.. even if that person was the one who threatened to kill him. [/scrolly]

[Jay]

Upon seeing Caden's motions, Ieri made up his mind rather easily at that and decided he'd help. If he regretted it later, Ieri'd regret, yet for now, he'd help. Stepping towards the Umbreon and the man, Ieri stared for a few seconds. "We're not going to hurt him," was all he stated before starting over to try and lift up Adam. Lee watched all of this rather quietly and seemed to be judging it for what it was.... The kid, Caden, seemed to have an interestingly pure heart to have such intentions after well... that, but such things proved that there were at least a few people in the world that still cared... Lee found himself remembering a certain woman and made note to tell Ieri about his remembrance later on.

[Lady Leaf]

Kuu had jumped to his feet the moment Caden made his way over to Adam and attempted to pick him up. At first Kuu wasn’t sure if he should attack Caden or let him pick him up but when Ieri spoke up Kuu backed down. He had no idea where they were going to take Adam but as long as they weren’t going to hurt him… Kuu’s ears perked back up when Ieri lifted Adam up. He was ready to follow the man where ever he went.

He lead the way over to a porch that looked abandoned enough. If somebody did come along.. well.. that was just revenge for what he had done in the first place. Caden helped set the man down on the porch and stepped back. ^_^ "See, Umbreon. I wasn't going to hurt him =3 He can threaten me all he wants, but I know, somewhere in there, he's gotta care about something." Caden says rather calmly. He even managed to let out a little grin to himself. He then looked back at Ieri. "Did you want a picture of you or your pokemon? I can do that once we get somewhere safe out of the rain. We could stay here, or move elsewhere." Caden says while he just stood there. [/scrolly]

Ieri had been careful while carrying Adam and was now debating whether or not to just follow the boy to the porch or actually walk him straight to some sort of poli-.... Mentally kicking himself at the idea of such things actually being in function well enough to deal with such matters, Ieri was silent and thinking on exactly what he wanted to do about this. If Adam woke up, then what exactly? From the talk previously, he probably wouldn't listen to reason, yet then again... But then there was work and searching to be done as it was.. The queen could be anywhere here... but then would she not be safe for at least a day? Ieri wasn't sure if more time could even begin to be good or not, yet he knew one thing, he needed to at least get Adam to somewhere out of the rain. With that, he set the man down on said porch once he had finally reached it and then watched as Caden talked to the Umbreon. After a moment, the boy was then talking to Ieri, and he slowly found himself smiling. "Of Lee, if you would," he answered back more or less sure that he didn't want pictures of himself... for... well it wasn't so much pride as well... no it was just... heh.... whatever.

[Lady Leaf]

The Umbreon trotted after the two men, his tail and ears both perked up high as walked. When Adam was set back down Kuu jumped up onto the porch and sad down beside Adam, his black eyes looking up to Caden. "Ummbreon" Was the only reply Caden got from Kuu. It had meant something along the lines that Adam cared for his own pokemon. After all, Kuu wouldn't be so loyal if Adam didn't care about him. Adam was just a bit... hard to understand.

As the boy and man began to talk to each other, Kuu's ears popped up again hearing a small sound come from Adam. As he turned around, Adam's arm lifted and moved to his neck. Adam had woken, though his eyes hadn't opened yet. His throat hurt, which understandable after having a fist make contact with his neck. After a moment Adam opened his eyes and rolled over, slightly surprised to see wood. Kuu stood and walked over to look into Adam’s face though Adam said nothing. His head was feeling a bit fuzzy and he really didn’t feel like assessing what had happened. Soon enough his hand reached for a pokeball, returning Kuu inside before Adam finally sat up and looked around. His eyes narrowed a bit as he spotted the Ieri and Caden still around yet he said nothing. He just simply glared at them.

"How about I get a picture of you AND your pokemon? Come on~ It'll be better that way~" Caden says with a grin. He pulled out his art materials and got ready to draw, but he heard things moving. The flash of red made him instantly turn over, but it seemed that it was just Kuu being returned. "We didn't want you to get sick in the rain, so we set you out of it. ^^ I'm making a piccy of Lee right now~ You should probably lie down until your rested up. ^^" Caden advises while sitting there. He didn't actually appear to be scared, and was even smiling a good bit. It seemed that he had a pokeball in his hand already, yet he wasn't doing anything with it yet. [/scrolly]

As he heard a sound, Ieri's eye slid to the side, and he stared a rather long time at Adam. Even as Caden spoke, Ieri didn't. Instead, he kept his face calm yet his eyes mildly reflected something else. Was he still irritated with this man? Yes, very much so. Ieri wasn't one to abandon anyone, yet that didn't mean he didn't get angry... far from it... a grudge of sorts was already forming in Ieri's mind, yet the white haired man could not bring himself to speak just yet and simply reflected a leer back.

Lee was quiet as well, though possibly for a different reason entirely, and his eyes simply shifted from Ieri's visage to Adam's. If this man simply left, Lee was more or less sure it would be for the better. However....... Lee blinked a moment wondering what exactly he had been 'however'ing about. He wasn't sure and therefore pushed it from his mind.
