She could just ask Felis to make Kitty one too, right? Er....? Well they could do something maybe.... After a few seconds, Rosa found herself shaking her head and stopped herself. "Come on let's dress up!" she answered back with a light smile on her face before again motioning to the closet. "Then we can be real princesses!" Felis physically fidgeted at the question of his parents, and for a good few seconds, he found himself at a loss for words. However, he recovered rather quickly and managed a laugh even. "I lost them both as well as the bulk of my immediate family," he answered back breathing in sharply and releasing the breath again. Ever so slightly, Felis had picked up the pace of his step. Kitty blinked a bit before looking up from her pout skeptically. At a glance over to that magnificent closet, however, all those sparkling poofy dresses of princessness began screaming her name, and she quickly forgot she was mad. "Okay," she said with a nod, then trotting over. "Brother really likes red.. Do you have any red ones?" Not that she wasn't already digging through herself.

Ryan cringed rather hard as he heard the answer, sensing the subtle change though unable to guess how deep it may actually run. He seemed to handle it well, but that could mean either it wasn't as bad as one might think or it was utterly horrific and Felis was just good at hiding it- perhaps even just well-practiced at hiding this particular bit. "Ah.." He hesitated a bit even as he hurried to keep pace, but finally somewhat-blurted, "Kitty an' I recently lost our parents too.." His gaze fell to one side. "She's adjusting, but.. it's a slow process.."

"Yep yep! I have some somewhere!" Rosa answered back with a grin before fishing out an insanely poofy red dress that stopped just before the floor (for Rosa who was holding it anyways). "What about this?" she asked. Felis had stopped walking the minute that Ryan had blurted out that he too had lost his parents. For a few seconds, he just stared and blinked rather slowly. In another moment, he frowned rather greatly, stepped forwards, and rather quickly hugged Ryan. "Aw... sorry to hear that," he stated rather simply. [/scrolly]

Had Rosa been asking most people, they may have replied with something like 'isn't that too big for me?' or 'oh but I don't want the skirt to get dirty dragging on the ground'. The seven-year-old, however, simply lit up with a "SO PRETTY!" Kitty actually squeaked as she jumped up with excitement, then taking the dress and grabbing at her own shirt before stopping suddenly a moment in hesitation. Well.. Rosa was just another little girl, so it should be fine. Just in case, she ducked behind a piece of furniture to be partially concealed. She continued to undress, then, eager to try on the dress. "So hey Rosa. How old're you?"

Ryan froze a bit as the blond man suddenly pressed against him. Neither rejecting nor returning it until Felis released him, Ryan just sort of stood there flustered for a bit before realizing he'd really implied a bit too strongly. "Er- I didn't mean... They aren't dead," he somewhat mumbled, before taking a deep breath and dropping into something more sincere. "Dad's in jail, probably for life, and won't let us visit.. Says he doesn't want Kitty to see him like that.. Not that the bastard seems to realize it's harder for her that he just disappeared. ... And then mom...." He grimaced, looking away. "Well she might be better off dead if she never gets better, but I keep praying she will.."

Sighing a bit, he tried to force-.. Well, a neutral look anyway. "But they're alive, and that's enough that I'm-.. okay, at least." Really he was fine about his dad- if anything a bit angry at him- but he couldn't really say his mom didn't upset him. "It's her I worry about.. I can't even try to explain how they're sleeping or in a better place, and it's hard explainin' why she can't see them when they're still around..." Suddenly blushing a bit, he muttered his realization: "And I'm completely rambling and bugging you with all this.." Deciding he may as well try to involve Felis again, the man hesitantly asked, "...Did.. you ever have to deal with something like that with Rosa... or how old was she?"

She almost always had help with getting into her dresses mostly because she found it hard to reach the zipper in the back after she'd pulled it on... well... she could just pull it on and then ask Kitty to zip her up right? Right! After a second more, she heard the question and then looked out from the closet. "Nine-.....er... Ten..." she answered back blinking a moment and remembering that she had had a brithday. Having spent a year saying she was nine and having spent nine years saying she was a single digit, Rosa found odd to be in the double digits. After a few seconds, she started to pull off her clothes and then started to turn the dress this way and that trying to figure out the best way to put it on. As Ryan clarified, Felis blinked a moment before slowly turning his head to one side. So... Ryan's dad was in jail and his mom was... sick? It seemed so. Upon hearing 'her', Felis instantly noted Ryan meant Kitty and frowned considerably. That.... that was sad D: ...... really.... really.... sad.... And with that, Felis found himself frowning even more as he found himself thinking of the two family members that were still alive and out there somewhere..... Dad and the elder brother.... However, instead of feeling sad at missing them, Felis felt a sudden twinge of irritation at them both. They had run off and abandoned the family, and Felis found himself far from forgiving them at that moment in time. The next thing he knew, Felis found a question posed to him, and for a few seconds, he was quiet. "I...." he started trying to find a way around lying about the fact that he was a liar and had reassured Rosa that their family was out there somewhere enjoying themselves and would come home eventually. Instead, he shifted questions. "She was eight, and...." he sighed a moment finding no way around it at the moment. "As best I can figure out... she blocked everything out..." he finished. [/scrolly]

Kitty blinked a few times. "Oh wow!" she said finally. "You're a LOT older than me! I just turned seven." Hey where was that sleeve? Wow, this dress felt really weird.. But... it was so sparkly!

"Ah." Ryan sweatdropped a bit. "Sorry.. I didn't mean to bring all this up." Turning back to Felis, he hesitated a bit before finally deciding it couldn't really hurt after all that. "Seems... we've got a lot in common, though." How far into this castle was Rosa's room, he wondered...

Fidgeting a little, the small blond haired stepped out of her bedroom and then looked over towards Kitty. "Ya a lot!" she agreed rather easily to Kitty. "But Felis is a lot older than me," she chimed. "Hey can you zip this?" she asked pointing to her back. Felis was determined not to falter this time and managed a rather easy smile. "Oh it's fine it's fine, and yes... we do seem to have quite a bit in common" the blond haired man answered back rather quickly. After a few seconds, Felis turned his head and found that they were already at the door of the castle. He pushed open the door of Forest Castle and felt the rush of cooler air for a few seconds before continuing inside before continuing inside rather easily. "It seems Rosa's taken to Kitty easy enough.. it'd be nice if they were friends, hahaha," Felis grinned a bit before turning a few corners and finally starting up the steps to Rosa's room. Kitty blinked a bit. "Hm..? ... Oh, yeah! Right!" she exclaimed, trotting over to Rosa and getting the zipper. Admiring the older girl's choice of dress, then, Kitty found herself fawning at all the sparkles. "You even look like a real princess!" She wasn't really sure whether she was more impressed or jealous, honestly. Finishing straightening her own dress, she realized she couldn't nearly reach either. ..Why did they put zippers on the backs of fancy dresses anyway? Didn't it seem like everyone would need help then? What if someone was trying to get ready for a ball or something all alone? ...Eh, Kitty figured they must have some reason. "Would you get mine too?"

Ryan gave a light, distant smile at the comment as he continued to follow. "Heh.. Very nice.. Kitty's only friend her age moved a few years ago, an' she's been especially shy since.. well.." He grimaced for just a moment to imply before shrugging. "I know how much it sucks bein' a kid with no friends. It'd be great if she had someone ta play with." He sighed then, again smiling softly.

"Oh sure!" she answered back with an easy smile before taking the zipper on Kitty's dress and zipping it up as well. After a few seconds, she looked down at her dress and then over at Kitty's. "You look like a princess too!" she answered back. "Oh but wait we need some jewelery and hair clips!" the young girl grinned before quickly stepping over to what could only be described as a small vanity cluttered with things of every kind. After a few seconds of fumbling, Rosa turned and then held out a pearl necklace. Though it looked rather real, it was fake, though not even Rosa herself knew it. Unknown to the young 'princess' her elder brother had locked up most of the remnants of the family heirlooms and had already decided that Rosa would receive them when she was older. "Wear this!" Rosa encouraged with a grin on her face before holding it out to Kitty. Felis half frowned, half smiled at Ryan's words and nodded his head a little at them. "Ah, ya I understand," he answered back as his face fully developed into a smile. "Fate blessed us both then," he finally stated before looking up to see how much farther up the stairs they had to go. Ah, just a minute or two more, heh. "Well if all goes well, you and Kitty'll have to come play again," the blond haired man grinned in a suddenly rather cheesy expression. [/scrolly]

Kitty blushed red as her dress when someone said she looked like a princess. The pride it instilled in the girl could have filled the whole room- maybe even the castle. She looked on with intrigue as Rosa began looking for something, only to have her jaw drop at the sparkling white pearls offered to her. "Are you sure?" she almost-stammered. "They're sooo pretty! I-... I dun wanna break them!" But.. SOOOOO shiny and....

Ryan slowly smiled at the last bit, flushing just slightly. "Heh.. You'd actually want me hanging around too?" He.. had never really had friends as a kid, and it always bothered him immensely. But that was so long ago now he was over it. Really. But then, ever since leaving the Yakuza and the friends/colleagues he'd had there... Ryan actually once again found himself with no one.. or no one but Jae. Just like old times.. Ha. Of course, this time getting too close to anyone put them at risk for the Yakuza to use. Kamui- damn the gorgeous bastard- could be ruthless, and he knew it, though what he didn't know was just how much the man would actually care that he'd left. On the one hand, Ryan knew a lot and that made him a possible threat. ..On the other, Kamui had known he'd been getting tired of their life for a while, and... well, he knew so much in the first place because his boss had trusted him. But did he trust him enough that all the precaution was really pointless or not? That was the question..

Felis, though.. Well.. He was a high-ranking noble, right? So.. logically speaking, he should already have people out for his life, what with the rebels and all. ...Rebels like Jae. ..Eh, she didn't have to know. And he was sure even she could make an exception for Kitty's sake. Anyway, one more possible threat that may or may not even exist shouldn't make too much difference, right? Heh..

"It's ok! You can wear them! I have another pair too, and we can both be really pretty," she grinned with ease looking at the younger girl. "And I have some bracelets and and and..." all the blonde could do was motion towards her vanity stand with a large amount of joy. Felis grinned a little at Ryan. "Sure why not?" he asked with a smile on his face. "You seem nice enough as far as I can tell." He laughed rather lightly and then found that they had finally come to the top of the stairs that then opened up into Rosa's room. Taking hold of the door, Felis pulled it open and then stuck his head in with a light smile. "Having fun?" he asked. [/scrolly]

"Wow, thanks!" she exclaimed, pulling the too-large necklace over her head- not that there was a clasp to be undone on the mock jewelry, but certainly the seven-year-old didn't know that. Kitty's eyes grew wider as Rosa began to show off more and more of her beautiful things, and it was all she could do to wait for the blonde to open each drawer rather than push ahead and do it herself.

Ryan laughed softly. "You too." ..Was that a tease? Maybe, just a little. Well, either way, they seemed to be at the end of their grown-up time as Felis pushed open the door.

At the big blond's question, Kitty spun around. "RYAN<3!" she cried, rushing to the door and pushing past Felis. "Lookie lookie! Don' I look like a princess!" All she needed was a crown! Kitty was sure of it!

Ryan feigned surprise as he put a hand to his mouth, actually doing so to hide his grin and help suppress a laugh. "Of course, Kitten~" he coddled. "But isn't that dress just a little bit... big on you?"

Kitty gave a look of utter confusion, looking over it to see if he was right. "...No, not really?" She gave it an extra look and patted at it before grinning back up at him. "It's just extra poofy!<3"

"Look I even got the zipper up with Kitty's help!" Rosa laughed lightly pleased by not having to have asked Miguel or Felis... despite the fact that she had still had to ask someone for help. It was different right? Right. Feliciano grinned a bit more than before and then chuckled to himself at Rosa's answer. "That's good," the blond haired man grinned back. "You both look cute as can be," he smiled looking at Rosa for a few seconds before then looking at Kitty. "Both princesses of the festival, neh?" the blond haired man joked a little. "Are you ready to go about and play some more outside?" Rosa burst into a fit of giggles and then nodded her head a lit before looking back towards Kitty before stopping and remembering the vanity supplies. In a quick moment, Rosa had moved back over and then seemed to be fumbling in the draw or the small furniture piece before pulling out what appeared to be a rather wiry but obvious crown. Taking out another one that looked just like the first except possibly a shade brighter than the first, Rosa moved rather quickly back towards Kitty. "Don't forget a crown!" she said rather quickly holding the slightly less shiny one out towards Kitty. [/scrolly]

Kitty's face went a little bit pouty despite her previous excitement at the offer. "Hey.. How come she gets the pertier one?" Rosa's crown was shinier! And it didn't matter if it was only a little bit, that made it so much better!

However, she was quickly nudged in the back by Ryan. "Because they're both hers an' she doesn' hafta let you wear either?" he reminded her with a slight smirk, fighting the urge to roll his eyes, though not really in a negative way so much as mildly amused, oddly. She really could be a spoiled brat at times, but half of him honestly felt like she deserved it and the other half told him they were working on it and she'd get better in time.

Kitty blushed and giggled a little sheepishly once this was pointed out. "Oh yeah.." Taking the crown, she smiled sweetly for a moment before remembering, "Uh thank you, Rosa." She then placed the crown squarely on her head (or actually tilted just slightly to one side but it felt like about the middle), then clapped her hands together and squealed with delight. After a few giggling moments, she calmed down enough to clumsily curtsy to Rosa. "Princess Rosa wha'd'you wanna do at the fes'ival?"

After a few seconds, the young blonde seemed to smile to herself. Yep yep~ After a few seconds of setting the crown right on her head, Rosa beamed when Kitty thanked her and then asked what she wanted to do. For a brief moment, Rosa put a finger to her lip in thought and then suddenly grinned. "Let's go to the Ferris Wheel!" Rosa suddenly exclaimed. Felis half smiled when it seemed that whatever had been about to start had cooled well enough and had changed course rather easily. "The Ferris Wheel sounds like a fun start~ We could look out and see what other games and things were going on from up there~" the blonde chimed easily. Rosa seemed to perk up even more at Felis's conformation and was all but bouncing on her heels then and there. "Let's go then!" she stated rather quickly. "Might want to make sure that's what Kitty wants to do too," Felis mused reminded his younger sister that there was another person there. Rosa seemed to snap back onto this and nodded a little in the 'oh ya' fashion. "That good?" Rosa asked suddenly then looking at Kitty. [/scrolly]

In fact, Kitty had been so excited by the idea that she didn't actually remember to say she agreed, just following Rosa instead. When directly asked, she found herself taken aback a bit, then became a little flustered. "Oh uh.. yeah! I don' remember a ferris wheel in Escapay.." She had found most of the other rides to be pretty fun, so trying another kind definitely sounded good to her.

As they began to head back toward the festival then, Ryan's gaze shifted sideways to the Duke. "... Hey Felis.." he started, fighting down a small blush but otherwise sounding as cryptic as anything. "I em... don't suppose you might go on the ferris wheel with me...?" Alone, in other words. Like... stick the girls in one cart and just them catch the next. ... There wasn't anything wrong with that right? It was just so they could talk more. Because it would have been totally inappropriate otherwise with Felis apparently taken. But that didn't matter, because Ryan was just happy to make a new friend.

Though she nearly missed a step going down her own stairs, Rosa quickly recovered from this and finally made it to the bottom before quickly heading towards the front again. Felis had been about to start walking when Ryan had spoke and caused him to stop a moment. After a moment, he simply smiled. "Sure, why not," he answered back rather easily offering something of a smile before then starting after the girls again. He didn't want to lose track of Rosa with the festival going on (though she could technically get home easy enough seeing as the castle was right there, but ya...) Upon coming to the front, Rosa flung open the doors and then led the way out. Her head jerked back for a moment as her arm extended and pointed towards the Ferris Wheel. "There!" was all she stated before taking Kitty's hand and all but dragging her towards it. Felis continued to follow the two girls as they made their way outside, and as Rosa suddenly took off, Felis found his own speed increasing quite a bit his eyes not wanting to lose the girls. As Rosa finally made it to her destination of choice, she stopped finally and looked back with a huge grin. The line only had a few people despite how busy the entire area was as a whole. However, Rosa still found herself bouncing on her heels as she waited. "It'll be so fun! We'll look down and everyone'll look like ants," she explained rather quickly. Felis had come in right at the point that Rosa said this and seemed to half smile a moment. "Will you two be alright by yourselves? Ryan and I are going to go in the compartment right after you," he finished. Rosa eyes suddenly took on a rather determined look, and she nodded her head with a grin. "Of course!" she answered back, this of course coming from the girl who generally refused to dress herself unless absolutely necessary. The line moved a bit as the Ferris Wheel did, and Rosa found herself sliding sideways ever so slightly to close the distance that had been made as people moved up. [/scrolly]

Ryan tried to hide his smile when Felis agreed, and they both followed Rosa's lead. Kitty did her best to keep up with the older girl, while Ryan trailed a few steps behind Felis, hands in his pockets and eyes trailing idly between the stands and rides they passed, the girls, and Felis himself. Once they were there, Kitty suddenly became rather disbelieving at Rosa's explanation. "..WHY would they look like ANTS??"

A hand flew to Ryan's mouth as he only just managed to stifle the snorted laugh that threatened to come at the mental image of giant anthropomorphic ants wandering around the festival grounds. If she'd been a bit more observant, she may have seen the small lunge that came with the laughing motion his body still went through, but fortunately for all the girl knew he was totally sincere and that hand to his face was for no reason at all. "She jis means they'll look 's small 's ants as high up 's you'll be," he explained.

... "Oh." She totally knew that! "Iunno if they'd look that small though.." she mumbled to herself. ..How high up would they have to be for that? ... ._. That... That sounded really high... Slowly looking up, she found the top of the Ferris wheel and suddenly realize exactly how massive it seemed. M-m-..maybe they should go on something smaller? Eh... Before she could protest, though, they were at the front of the line, and a cart was arriving. "I-I... Ryan I'm not uh..."

Ryan blinked, looking down rather more concerned. "What's wrong, Kitten?" ... He swore if she said something like she needed to use the bathroom right now of all times... 'x3;; Eh it happened.

Instead, though, the rather nervous girl asked, "C-could I go with you instead?" If she was going to be somewhere scary, she at least wanted it to be with Ryan who she knew would keep her safe!

Ryan mentally flinched. But but but his--! Forcing a syllable of an uncomfortable laugh, he brushed off her concern. "Don' be silly, yu'll be fine~" he reassured her. "An you don' wanna hurt Rosa's feelin's do ya?" Rosa didn't actually get much a chance to protest the validity of that statement as he mildly rushed Kitty after her into the cart.

Well uh.. When he put it like that.. "Guess not.." she mumbled, though to herself really, as by this point the door was closing. Turning her sights to Rosa, Kitty asked, "...So... yer sure this's safe?"

In the meantime, they'd begun to move up, and the next cart moved down. A couple who looked as though they could have been mildly drunk stumbled out and staggered off, and the festival worker motioned for the Duke and the reforming man to take their place. Ryan looked to Felis, very much hoping his slightly ruddy complexion would be enough to hide his light blush. "After you."

D: The thought that Felis would go with her didn't even hit her mind until they were already in the cart, and even then, it was discarded a moment later as she found herself too excited to keep such things in her mind after the fact. Rosa found herself sitting down on one of the seats after a moment and blinked at Kitty's question before half smiling. "Sure it is! Why wouldn't it be?" she questioned back as a mild look of confusion placed itself on her face. Felis had brought it to Forest Castle so it had to be safe right? Before Kitty had a chance to give a reason back, Rosa was already looking out the side her eyes growing rather large. "Look! We're going higher and higher up! It's like a big tower!" she grinned looking back at Kitty a moment before pointing in the general direction of her own tower back at the castle. Though she was far from fearless, heights didn't bother Rosa in the least. She'd been so used to looking out from high places in the castle that the Ferris Wheel was just a way to get to a higher area without having to walk~ Or something like that. It worked in Rosa's mind, and that's all that mattered. "Look over there and there and there! Look! That's the cotton candy booth and over there's the bumper cars! Loooooook! " Rosa found herself directing some sort of symphony as both of her pointer fingers found something to direction attention to. Meanwhile, as the next cart had come down, Felis found himself smiling and nodded before stepping up into it and sitting down. As Ryan followed, Felis could hear the door click behind. Looking at Ryan, Felis simply flashed a smile not really noticing the blush on Ryan's face. As the movement of the wheel started, Felis found himself looking out the window grinning a little watching the ground get smaller as they went. "Hope the girls are having fun," he mused a bit to himself. He really had no doubts that they were but well... He couldn't help but think on Rosa first, really. [/scrolly]

Kitty felt herself shaking a bit as the rose, especially when Rosa pointed that fact out. Her shaking made the cart shake, which only made it that much scarier in a vicious cycle until-- o.o tower? "You're right!" she exclaimed. Being held way up in a little box seemed kind of scary, but if she pretended she was way up in a super princess tower, it wasn't scary at all! Soon Kitty was out of her seat and pressed against the glass, looking for all the things Rosa named and- "Look, teacups!"- occasionally pointing out some sort of ride she recognized.

Meanwhile, on the guys's end, Ryan couldn't help but be amused (especially considering there wasn't much else to think about while trying to keep his mind off of how many butterflies were suddenly filling his stomach at the full realization of the current situation). "If Rosa's anythin' like Kitten, I rec-imagine we'll have ta ride it a few more times~ Heh.." What no nervous him never that absolutely was no his accent trying to blurt out and he wasn't concentrating extra hard on his words now to keep from sounding like too much of an idiot. Even still, Ryan had to wonder whether this was more from Felis's position or good looks or just what of his personality he'd seen so far. Especially for a fricking Grand Duke, he seemed extremely laid back, and of course the sister thing was still getting him quite a bit.
